We don’t live close by but we always try to stop by when we are in the area because the food is bomb! Literally my favorite authentic restaurant hands down. Must try the micheladas, aguas frescas, chile verde burritos, guac with flour chips, enchiladas. I wish I lived closer!

This is one of our favorite spots in Shafter! Everything is excellent. The heat level is up there. The salsa had a nice bite. The tortilla chips and guacamole are fresh made when you order and spicy. My omelet was fluffy and my husband's was cooked perfectly as well. The chile verde was spicy and good balance between sauce and meat. The rice and beans were good as well. We've had the huge breakfast burritos, enchiladas, chile colorado, chimichangas, and other items on other visits and it's always been delicious. Service is always great. They are quick, polite, and attentive.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The shredded beef is far more tender and juicy than most places. The menu had a lot of seafood options, along with menudo and some other items you don't see in every Mexican food place.

I like fried fish in Mexican restaurants, it reminds me of Moldovan home cooking, the fish was fresh and very tasty, there were few vegetables, the prices are not high

Great local spot in Shafter! Their guacamole is a must and I enjoyed the chicken enchilada. Everything looked great coming out of the kitchen and I would recommend this spot to friends and family.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. I've eaten at just about every Mexican restaurant in Bakersfield and some in Shafter, and none of them measure up to El Michoacanos!!! Our server, Alice, was friendly, helpful, beautiful, and kind. She made suggestions regarding sauces, and she hit the mark. My compliments to the chefs. They know how to season the food to perfection. Every bite was filled with flavor. We will definitely go back again. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's well worth the drive to Shafter.

The food was amazing, service incredible. Staff had only one concern, our culinary experience.

I rec I recommended they speak Spanish in English they have great customer service prices for good because everything is freshly done you can ask for homemade tortillas or regular tortillas is our first time here and it was great I completely recommended

Always great food and great service. They have some spicy Chili Verde and Colorado. Never disappointed by anything I've tried. Interior pretty average. They have TVs on with some sports. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Michelada and margaritas were great. Costillas con nopales were a bit salty but had good flavor. Guacamole dip with handmade flour tortilla chips were also great!

Love this place. The menu is exciting. You have to get the Chile verde bean dip! The service is on point. Family owned and operated and on the premises morning to night! Such a hard working family. Always making sure to make you feel welcomed and well fed. They have margaritas too! Give em a try, you won't be disappointed.
