Excellent drinks. I had the beet salad and it was extremely delectable. The bar tender was very attentive and the owner personally saw that both my meal and experience were attended to. I’d give it ten stars if I could! Will definitely be returning.

204 Main is a fantastic restaurant that has an upscale atmosphere and excellent food! Everything here is made on site, by hand. I haven't had any food here yet that isn't absolutely delicious. Their menu is on the smaller side, but it's always changing with the season and has a good variety for everyone's tastes. This is a great place to go for a special occasion or to just hang out with friends. Highly recommend!

Drop what you are doing and eat here!! My party ordered six dishes and all were incredibly unique and incredibly tasty. NYC excellence - maybe better, without the prices and ego. We were able to convert most dishes to meatless. So yummy, still blown away!

Unique little bistro with a friendly, attentive staff and the food was magnificent! We had the Short Rib and the Chilean Sea Bass special, both were served promptly, elegant presentation and delectable. We will be back. It was a real treat.

We stayed at the NASH hotel and are at the restaurant and both were very good! The accommodations were comfortable and modern and the food was delicious. When we come back to Sharon Springs, we will definitely stay here again. Jim is very nice and an all around great guy. We enjoyed ourselves very much!

Review 204 Main bar and bistro Ate at this restaurant last night with my husband and everything was excellent. We each had a Caesar salad with white anchovies and a very unique presentation that was delicious and filling. Dinner was short ribs that were tender-melt in your mouth. We were too full for separate desserts, so we split one. My husband had a dirty martini and I had a cocktail with hops & ginger cordials among other ingredients that I can’t remember that I absolutely loved. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was urban chic. 2 entrees, 2 large salads, three cocktails and one dessert came to about $170. Pre-covid prices would have put this dinner around $110 at a restaurant of this caliber but all restaurant prices have increased, so this was a huge love for us. Will definitely return.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal! I was so taken back by the ambiance, the delicious appetizers, and the mocktails - it felt like fine dining! Everything was so scrumptious and the service was very friendly! I will be back and bringing more friends!!

My partner and I recently moved to the area from Schenectady. One of our biggest concerns was losing proximity to good restaurants and fun things to do so when his birthday came around I was pretty nervous about finding a great place to eat. I did some research and after reading reviews settled on 204 Main and boy did we luck out. The menu was beautiful and every. single. thing. was absolutely amazing. The drinks were fantastic, especially the Bee’s knees. The starter, entrees and desserts were masterful. The atmosphere, service, and pricing were perfect. When I asked my boyfriend what he thought of his birthday dinner he said “it was one of the best meals of my life.” If you come to this area PLEASE EAT HERE. We were blown away by every aspect of our experience here, thank you 204!

It was made in the traditional manner: whole leaves of hearts of romaine with lemon-forward Caesar dressing drizzled on the leaves and white anchovies (upon request) draped over the top. A delicious way to start the meal. Next, I had the Korean hot chicken appetizer. The chicken was moist and tender, the coating was crisp, and the Asian spices were delicious with just the right amount of heat. Finally, the red curry wild-caught Gulf shrimp were cooked perfectly and served over Jasmine rice. We had to pass on the delicious sounding desserts because we had had all we could eat. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. We also enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If we lived here, we'd be regulars, but we will visit the next time we're anywhere near Sharon Springs.

Spur of the moment dinner while visiting family in the area. Warmly greeted, sat in lounge for a few signature cocktails while waiting for our table. Jim the host made us feel right at home from the start. The atmosphere has a hip vibe with metro touches. The menu along with the food did not disappoint. We had tasty appetizers including multiple KFC's and salads. For the entrées we had short ribs and chicken pot pies which were both amazing. Finally we indulged ourselves one more time with chocolate pudding for dessert. All and all we would return as often as we could if we did not live 3 hours away! Can not recommend more highly!

We had a good dinner for two with an appetizer and dessert. Friendly service in an old building that felt cozy. I had short ribs and we each enjoyed our dessert.

The service was great the chicken parm was excellent. only complaint is I was not a fan of the drinks.

The short rib was smaller than a hockey puck and had two tiny potato strips that came with it all for $36. We left hungry and went to another restaurant on the way home.

By the time I saw a server again it was too late to ask for it. The service although friendly was pretty mediocre for a highish end restaurant. The servers continually forgot which dish went with which person and had to ask multiple times, and sometimes we had to trade things around. I don't think that service is acceptable for a place charging the prices that they charge.

Bartenders should be more attentive to the customers instead of bending over at a 90 degree angle to make sure not a DRIP more goes in your wine glass.. Way over priced.. and the Korean Bowl was less than desirable ...im assuming it was a limited menu because of the festival... BUT first impressions are important! Very disappointing.

I would never step foot in this place. The owner is nasty to people on Facebook not realizing it will affect his business.
