My favorite casual place.. whether for a date night, hanging with friends or just a quick meal on the go. Been coming here for years. Everything is delicious, fresh, consistent and reasonably priced. The caprese burrata, white pizza, amd Italian salad is are go to. Great price and the food is filling. The staff is incredible! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Also, there is a cheap parking garage behind the restaurant which makes it easy to find parking.
Best pizza I've ever tasted. Waiters are always nice and service is always quick. I go here with my friends at least once a week after school. Food is so good that one week we went five nights in a row.
This place has an inviting atmosphere and exceptional service, but most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. The chef’s attitude toward the guests is beyond praise. I was deeply touched by how he personally came to ask for feedback on the dishes—not just as a formality, but with genuine interest. The lovely gesture of a complimentary dessert and gelato for my birthday truly melted my heart. I highly recommend this place!
Best pizza in the Valley. This is my usual go-to spot when I’m craving pizza. The pizza dough is thin and crunchy and tastes amazing! The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy and they have a beautiful olive tree inside the restaurant you can sit under. The staff is always welcoming and service is fast. The manager, Jesse, is always hospitable and greets all his customers. I recommend this place if you’re in search of delicious pizza and good vibes.
Ever since my wife and I have discovered this popular Sherman oaks pizza joint we love coming here for a pie and one of there amazing natuela berry colzones! The ambient is fantastic! I mean the owners dropped a fortune on decorating. The service is amazing. You can all ways count on the head chef and managers to walk around and personally great you or shake your hand. They occasionally let you know how much your business means to them by treating you to a dish on the house or a desert . Trust me there is so many great things to write about midici I don't even know where to start? This place is great ! If it's to chill out and enjoy the ambient with a glass of wine and a meat and cheese plate or to share a pizza and salad this place has it all! Even their coffee is over the edge! Trust me give midici a try! For the price and causal comfort this place has it all and you will think for a second your at cafe Del Mar in Ibiza....
This place is absolutely delicious. The pizza is amazing. I have a picky little sister and she loves this place. We tryed 3 different pizzas and they were all amazing. There is assigned seating so don't try to steal a table because I promise you that you will get kicked off the table. Does get a little crowded in the evening. Tables are assigned once order has been placed. You will not regret coming here.
While visiting from Arizona, my sister insisted that we p/u two pizzas for us to enjoy. Having gone to Italy last year, it was a no brainer. The ambience was so Italian, the service was impeccable and the pizza confirmed our memories of Naples!
You need to ask for salt when you order your food. The person has to go way in the back room to get you a little cup of it. If the cashier is busy you're going to wait for a while. Go over to the condiments and grab yourself some paper towels before you head to the bathrooms. They only have the air blower. And as everybody knows when you turn that on it blows all the dried urine and dirt from everybody's feet all over you and the bathroom. They need to address the urinal. It smelled really rank and I don't believe their servicing the battery in the automatic flush. They have no paper towels in the restrooms. How can a pizza place not have paper towels in the restrooms. You eat pizza with your hands. Do you really expect me to touch the bathroom door knob without a paper towel when I'm going to eat pizza. What are you guys thinking.
Delicious pizza with fresh ingredients and great flavor! The dough is light and perfectly cooked. The interior could definitely use a little refresh to match the quality of the food, but overall, it’s worth a visit for the pizza alone.
5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Pizza!! 🍕🍕 My friend order the Forrest Pizza and I ordered Margherita pizza!! It’s a cute and nice place! You can either sit outside or you can sit inside near the fireplace. It’s comfortable and relaxing restaurant. I like outside personally. I love that it’s open late and if you don’t eat all the pizza you can take it home and warm it up. They also have free refills of coke products. The Coke Cola machine was very good and it had so many different options of Flavors! Midici Neapolitan Pizza brings Italy’s original 💯 Neapolitan wood-fired pizza recipe to Sherman Oaks! Midici also has appetizers, salads, and desserts made with fresh, natural and mostly non-gmo ingredients! If you haven’t tried Midici Neapolitan Pizza you are 💯 missing out!🍕🍕🍕
i'm so glad we stumbled upon this place for lunch this weekend. i had a feeling it'd be good as soon as we walked in but i didn't expect the combination of food and customer service to be incredible! as soon as we walked in there was a guy making the dough by hand and we watched him for a minute and he was smiling and waved at us. we made it down to the register and ordered our food, received our drinks with a positive attitude from the cashier. i was able to use the restroom before taking our seat which was very clean itself and very spacious as well. we actually talked to each other about the restrooms being nice! we sat down and didn't wait long until we received our pizzas which we scarfed down so quickly. i didn't leave a single crumb on the plate, it was so good. we decided to sit, chat and finish up our beverages when a young team member brought us a Nutella dessert compliments of their manager, Jesse. that was the cherry on top. he came over shortly after and we were so grateful, he really topped off the already impeccable service with a nice bow on top. i'll be telling anyone and everyone to stop by here as the food was really good, worth the drive and i'm already trying to re-visit again and try something else all together!
The place is so beautiful, the dessert was so delicious, it was called the Bombolini. The pizza was also great and the workers were super nice. Would definitely recommend!!
Delicious pizza, beautiful atmosphere and the head chef, Jesse is just so gracious, welcoming and kind—his exceptional customer service makes such a big difference. 5 stars all around.
We got the white truffle pizza, garlic bread and nutella calzone for 2 people and paied around 40$ for all. Let me say this was too much food and we only order this much thinking they will have small portions. No portions were normal, food was tasty our server forgot us too many times but for this price and this quality food it was great overall!
Delicious salads, great decor and atmosphere, and good service for random hours that aren’t during meal times. Loved the theme of the restaurant which is about how people are the best asset and resource. They also had a creative sign near the bathroom about meeting new people and becoming friends.
I recently visited this pizza place, and I have to say—everything was absolutely delicious! The pizza was perfectly cooked with a crispy crust, rich sauce, and generous, flavorful toppings. Every bite was full of flavor, and the rest of the food we ordered was just as good. The staff was incredibly pleasant and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. I honestly can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. If you’re looking for great food and even better service, this is the spot! 🍕👏
Great place! I love it! The pizza was delicious! They have bottomless soda if you get it. There's no table service, you have to order in the bar. They give you a number and then they will bring you the food. The chef was super kind, he came to our table to ask us how it was the diner and after that invited us to a desert! Super cool night!
I've been here few times and vibes are great, great food and good time. Shout out to the manager Jesse put a smile on my bros face with a surprise Nutella dessert for his B'day. Thank you guys
Absolutely FABULOUS service!!! Outstanding food!!!! They went above and beyond ! We were thrilled to stumble upon this place! Salad, Pizza and Dessert were EXCELLENT! Jessie is a spectacular employee and they are lucky to have him!
My favorite to go pizza place! It's gotta be the upbeat music I love or just the great pizza, maybe both, but ambiance is just really cool and super clean. The Olive tree inside is really something, it says that it gives you feel calm, which is true. Go for the burrata cheese and melon starter, just unreal.
Update: 3 years later and it's still banging. Props to Jesse for being attentive and serving up a great experience. Every person we came in contact with went out of their to be helpful and courteous. Got to admit, this place was impressive even though I had my doubts. The pizza dough is on point! The atmosphere is great, very cozy and warm. We went on a Saturday night and had no problem getting the best seat in the house (near the fireplace). The Nutella calzone is obscenely delicious. The Caesar salad was a solid choice bc it was so fresh and crispy. Parking is terrible, as is the usual case for this area. Arrive 5-10 minutes early. I wish there were better beer options or cocktails offered. I had the hazy IPA which was still very good tho.
The pizza is amazing and the service too! The chef even came out and gave us a free dessert to try and it just happened to be my birthday. The only issue I had wasn't with the restaurant but with the outside seating. The area seems safe but there are still some homeless and not so healthy looking people that might be hanging around. Other than that it was great. Next time I'll sit inside haha :)
I stopped by Midici today, and I’ve gotta say – the environment is really nice. It has a relaxed, modern vibe with cozy seating and a clean, welcoming space. Definitely the kind of place you can hang out with friends or even come solo to enjoy a peaceful meal. If you’re into good pizza and a chill atmosphere, Midici is worth checking ou
Must have the double pepperoni. Amazing! A tad spicy, just like i like it. Delicious walnut and gorgonzola salad and not to mention the superb nutella calzone. The calzone could have had a slightly better presentation but who care it's a calzone filled with nutella and fresh berries. OMG! We will be back. As for the atmosphere, it was lovely. The restrooms where very nice and cute, in theme. They have lots of great quotes throughout, a beautiful modern fire pit and black and white movie projected on a back wall in the evening. All in all great find.
Went here for dinner with my family for my 40th bday. Ate outside since indoor still isn’t allowed in California for the most part, especially in LA. The service was decent, not fabulous, but hey this is Covid and it’s hard. I was glad they were open, and they deserve a break. The food...OUTSTANDING. We had the garlic bread and burrata with melon for starters. We then moved onto double pepperoni pizza, and The Supremo. For desert we had the Nutella Calzone and Tiramisu. We were all stuffed and thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite of the deliciousness.
Just stopped by for an early lunch after traveling from Las Vegas and I am beyond impressed and grateful for the stellar service. My daughter is a college student in Northridge and she has been talking about this place for a while. We were greeted immediately, and who seems to have been the manager, Jessie, was incredibly kind and accommodating. Just as we were wrapping up, he brought this incredible dessert to our table. This place hit all of the marks in their category. We will be back!
A stylistic atmospheric explosion filled with warmth and grace. Its like visiting Europe in your back yard. Electro lounge music is on point. The people who put this establishment together nailed it!!! So much effort went into creating this place which tantalizes all of the human senses. What an affordable treasure to experience. * The Banana Dulce de Leche is a must try I wish I had $2 million so i could open two locations. I know exactly where they would thrive. Essentially you must have $750k to open one location.
Had a great lunch with my wife! Pesto based pizza was delicious. The manager came by numerous times to make sure everything was good, and even surprised us with a free Nutella calzone desert!
This is my second time coming here, and I came by myself (had a long day and was craving a Neapolitan pizza). I sat at the bar top and the pizza was fantastic. Exactly what I wanted. Jesse (sp?) was so kind, he came up to me and introduced himself and let me know if I needed anything I just needed to ask. And then he gave me the best tiramisu I have ever had (so please try it!) thank you for the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere. It made my day better.
Absolutely love Midici! Easily my favorite pizza spot in LA. The food is always fresh, the crust is perfect, and the ingredients are top-notch. What really sets this place apart though is the vibe and the staff—especially the manager, Jesse. He’s super welcoming, attentive, and clearly cares about making sure everyone has a great experience. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t been, go check it out—you’ll be hooked after one visit!
One of the best Neapolitan pizza places in Los Angeles is located here. It boasts a pleasant patio and a welcoming interior. Personally, I am a big fan of their truffle and homemade pesto pizzas. However, it's important to note that you'll need to pick up plates, utensils, and any desired condiments to accompany your pizza, as they only bring the pizza itself to your table. I've already recommended this place on my RealGemzz account.
Medici is my go-to casual hangout spot, but today was truly special. I went with a friend, and we had an amazing time. The service was outstanding! Jesse, in particular, went above and beyond, checking on us several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves—and we absolutely were. He was incredibly caring, attentive, and thoughtful. Our waiter was also very helpful and ensured everything was just right. From the warm hospitality to the wonderful atmosphere, everything was perfect. We truly enjoyed our time at Medici and can’t wait to come back! Huge thanks to Jesse for making our visit so memorable. The world needs more people like you!
I just love this pizza restaurant. If you want a more authentic Italian pizza experience and less "Americanized" pizza, then Midici is the place to go. We had the Double Pepperoni and my favorite, the Pig, the Fig, and the Goat. Starting out with the Double Pepperoni, just by looking at it, you know you're in for a treat. This isn't your greasy pizza, but a freshly made Neopolitan pizza with fresh ingredients. The dough is especially soft and fluffy without the hard chewyness of other places. The pepperoni tasted like it's sliced deli instead of something from a frozen package. Even the cheese delivers! Now, for me the main event is the Pig, the Fig, and the Goat, which is consists of prosciutto, fig jam, and goat cheese. It's the perfect symphony of salty savoriness and nutty sweetness. It's almost addicting, and having gone to Florence and Rome last year, this pizza can legitimately be served in Italy and no one would argue that it doesn't belong there. It's that good and my favorite pizza in America! Lastly, the ambience is so charming and so different. The wood fire oven and plant decor is lovely to be around and has a nice air to it. It's relaxing and exciting at once!
My husband and I specifically sought out this place for its delectable dessert offerings, and we were not disappointed! Our taste buds were tantalized by the rich and flavorful SIGNATURE NUTELLA CALZONE, complemented perfectly with fresh berries. Moreover, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the loose green tea, which exceeded our expectations ☕️ Overall, a wonderful culinary experience that we highly recommend! 🎉
First let me say the Manager or a Owner and employees were very nice!!! I had a great experience here as this was my second visit. It is as authentic as Italian food back East for me being from Philly and I’m part Italian. So I know authenticity when I taste it. On my first visit me & famiglia ordered The Margherita, Chicken Pesto, and The Meats Pizzas, Meatballs, Chicken Salad, and a Nutella Calzone! My most recent visit got the Meats and Mango Gelato/Sorbet! It was so amazing and yummy and I plan on visiting again soon, thanks so much. I’d recommend this to anyone else!
Refined, sophisticated, absolutely gorgeous eating area. The quality of pizza is fantastic. Crust is wonderful, ingredients are fresh, and it all comes together to form a great tasting pizza. The selection of condiments and flavors are superb, as well—in addition to the standard parmesan and red chili flakes that are typically added to pizza, they also allow for their cold pressed olive oil, their house made chili oil, oregano, and more. The chili oil absolutely made my pizza—your mileage may vary, but it's become a staple for my pizza. Overall, satisfaction doesn't even begin to describe my experience here.
Been here many times for lunch and dinner. Pizza is always fresh and delicious. We've had a few of their appetizers and they're all delicious. We had the Caesar salad as well as the prosciutto with burrata to start. Then had 3 kinds of pizzas. They have specialty pizzas on the menu, or you can build your own!
It’s such a treat going to eat at MidiCi! I love their pizzas, I have tried most of them, they are so tasty and the crust is amazing! I also love their meatball appetizer and the bread they serve with it, as well as their delicious salads! And their desserts…so tasty! And added to the amazing food and fun environment, their staff has great customer service skills, especially Jesse, the owner, he is so polite, friendly and makes you feel so welcome. He is always walking around making sure everyone is having a good time and getting the best service! He makes you feel at home! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! You will not be disappointed!
If I could give more than five stars, I would. The food is next-level amazing, and the service somehow manages to be even better. The staff is incredibly sweet and personable. You can genuinely tell they want you to enjoy every moment and every bite. The pasta is unreal: rich, flavorful, and truly melt-in-your-mouth good. And the Nutella calzone? Absolutely sinful in the best way possible. This place is a must-go. No notes. Just go!
Amazing pizza. There was no long wait time for our food even with other guest present. The hospitality was top notch. We had such a great experience and their signature Nutella calzone dessert was extra delicious. We definitely recommend to try this place. The atmosphere with semi low lighting is so pleasant, great for date night or just a night out with friends and family for some high quality pizza
Really great experience! 🍕 The Margherita was really delicious and the dessert was exceptional. Everything tasted fresh and well made. The owner, Jessie, was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. We will definitely come back!
I originally came to have dinner at a restaurant across the street, but after walking in, I realized I didn’t want to eat there. I crossed the road and noticed trees inside this place- and that’s how I accidentally ended up in what my friends consider the best pizzeria in Los Angeles. Great menu, delicious pizza, and an impressive interior with trees and pizza ovens. I added photos. It wasn’t a busy evening, and we were offered their signature dessert- tasty, 4/5. The only downside is the restroom: it’s code-locked, and the code isn’t on the receipt, so you have to ask the staff.
If you’re a pizza lover who appreciates quality and passion in every bite, MidiCi is a must-visit. This place nails the Neapolitan pizza experience, with signature pies cooked in their wood-fired oven to perfection — thin, chewy crust with just the right char, fresh toppings, and bold Italian flavors that stand out every time. The staff was more than friendly, the owner stopped by asked if we were ok if we needed anything else and then sent over a complementary dessert. Will definitely be coming back.
We celebrated my brother’s birthday today, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. We were a large group — 20 people in total, including 8 kids — and from start to finish, everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and warmth. The food was absolutely incredible. I didn’t even have to stress about what to order because the staff took the time to guide me through the menu and recommend options that would work well for a big, mixed group. Every single dish — and I mean every single one — was a hit. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavors, and perfect execution. You could really tell that there’s pride behind everything coming out of that kitchen. A special shoutout to Maritza, our main host for the afternoon. She was beyond helpful and kind — patiently walking me through the menu, making thoughtful suggestions, and checking in throughout the meal to make sure everything was going smoothly. Thanks to her and the rest of the team, the birthday lunch was a total success and completely stress-free. It’s not easy to impress a big group with lots of different tastes (especially when kids are involved!), but they nailed it. Great food, top-notch service, and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back — and recommending it to everyone we know!
Our family of 5 visited this place for the first time. The whole ambiance was amazing. Staff were cool and went over the menu. Met with Jesse who really made this a great experience. The food is memorable. We orders 3 pizzas- margarita, 5 cheese and fig goat pig. Delicious. We also had the meat balls and garlic bread. 🤤 Jesse also surprised us with a dessert - Nutella calzone. We left no trace. Perfectly made - chocolatey and filled with fruit. I’ll be here each time we’re in the valley. Thanks!
We love MidiCi. They have the best pizza. They have several locations and we have been to a few. The food is the same at all we have been to and the service is amazing. They have a great selection of pizzas and other items. We always get the pizza. We have dined in most of the time, but we have also picked up and used delivery. It is just great. The place is so cute and it is very comfortable. You will be happy here. The prices are fair and they don't burn your pizza. We also love their toppings and we usually get a pizza with toppings I love and the other half with toppings the rest of the family loves. Their cheese is so good and the pizza is made to order. There is nothing not to like about MidiCi, so try it.
This is a wood-fired pizza restaurant offering a variety of pizza styles. Their unique dough enhances the flavors to perfection. It’s an excellent choice to visit with a group, as you can order multiple pizzas and try different flavors. Utensils and drinks are self-service, which adds to the casual dining experience. However, on a cold day, the lower seating area felt a bit chilly.
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and a level of customer service that makes you feel like family. Jesse the owner was SO attentive and treated us to amazing Nutella & fruit stuff dessert. It really was such a kind treat that made my week! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. It's a great place to catch up with friends or even an affordable date night. The pizza? Absolutely stellar—each bite bursting with fresh flavor, featuring high-quality ingredients on a perfectly crisp, yet tender crust. You can taste the care that goes into every pie. A true gem that delivers on all fronts! Five stars, no question. This spot is now on my dinner rotation and recommendation list based on the Royal treatment!
Loved the inside of this place, clean, enchanting, wonderful service, and our chef brought us out a special dessert on the house. The gorgonzola salad with walnuts was super tasty, and I like the garlic bar and olive oil station to go along with your pizza. Crust was excellent. Would highly recommend.
With so many options in the valley for pizza this is one of my favorite places for thin crust pizzas. Been coming for years and it has become more of a comfort spot with friends

Looking for authentic Neapolitan pizza place and found this cool pizza place in van nays Let me tell you it’s not an ordinary restaurant It’s a completely different atmosphere from employees to the way chair are set up with a gigantic tree in the middle of the restaurant FYI they use real wood fo there oven... hard to find now a days
Had a lovely dining experience with a friend as we were dining and catching up. The manager Jesse went above and beyond, multiple times making arounds on the patio where we were seated, checking in to see if everything was fine or was needed. I greatly appreciated his customer service which was such a genuine touch.
Great place for semi-fancy dinner, food is good and has enough options for GF and DF, pica crust is truly as advertised, thin and simple ingredients but tasty. Outdoor and indoor seating, outdoors heaters available. Interior inside is super cool, plenty of good wine choices! Definitely coming back because it is also affordable for how good the place is!
It's a lovely restaurant, very nice atmosphere, great staff. I got a breakfast pizza for dinner - it was good, but..... I'm not a fan of burnt crust and the ovens are 1,000 degrees and they cook the pizza in 90 seconds, which is awesome to crank out a bunch of pizzas really fast, but...... it burns the crust. I had bacon on my pizza and it didn't seem quite cook enough. Maybe they need to lower that temperature and cook the pizza another 30 seconds - bake it some way so the crust is beautiful golden brown - since the ingredients are wonderful and fresh if baked to perfection it would be a great place to become a loyal customer - just suggesting. I got a glass of wine - but it looked only a 1/4 filled - just saying. It's loud, and at night the lighting is very dim around the ordering station. One of the best things is the Nutella Fresh Fruit Calzone. Bon Apetit!
This is a nice place, always crowded. The pizza was delicious. The noise level was pretty high, the service was ok, there was one waiter that covered so many tables, he complained that he just couldn't get everything done. The parking is not great and there's no direction when you walk in. It's like self service but you don't know because no one greets you to tell you.
Everything great, atmosphere, personnel and flavors. If you’ve never been before, it may take you a bit to know what to do and just realize that you have ti keep walking until you get to the the ordering counter. Also, and unfortunately, pizzas with tomato sauce are almost impossible to handle as the dough gets too wet. The flavor great, but not an easy eating experience.
MidiCi is a restaurant that specializes in authentic Neapolitan style pizza baked in a wood fired oven, using high quality ingredients such as non GMO flour and all-natural toppings. The open and inviting design of the restaurant creates a pleasant atmosphere, and I enjoyed being able to see the pizzas being prepared right in front of me, which added to the overall experience. The pizza itself was delicious, with a light and flavorful crust that reflected the care put into the ingredients. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the service. From the customer’s perspective, the staff interaction did not feel as warm or attentive as I would have expected, which slightly diminished the overall impression. While the food and environment were excellent, I hope the service aspect can improve to match the quality of the pizza.

Really bland, thin pizza. Sauce and toppings were not very generous. They only have one pizza size, which feeds about two people or one very hungry person. The garlic bread was bitter, did not have much cheese, and lacked saltiness. The atmosphere was cool with the copper ovens, but the decor was a little odd and all about people connecting. The ordering setup is fast casual where you order and pay at the register, but the atmosphere is trying to be fine dining. Overall, the restaurant comes across as one note and mismatched in atmosphere and focus.
Pizza was god can’t complain about that just that they claim to be so high end and we came with a high expectation of the restaurant the menu very basic, can drinks -_- at least offer a glass with them, small size of the cups for the cheese pricing is Ike a pizza rev, if u want to go on a date it’s a good place ur date won’t take forever cuz the menu is one page
I really expected better from this place. It was just ok to me.Service was not so good. The service disappointed me.I waited 25 mins for one Margherita pizza. And biggest deal was they served the customers that came after me first.!And they were about to serve others before me until I spoke up.The price was good tho.About $10 for a personal size pizza. The dough was a little over cooked.Meaning it wasn’t floppy and soft or like most Neapolitan pizzas. In all honestly I don’t think I’ll go back.!!!!
Good pizza! Not much mixing and matching of the pies. The desserts was just okay not fantastic
I really wanted to like this place and I think the problem is that my wife and I got back from our honey moon 1 year ago from Italy and have been craving that authentic Neapolitan pizza. This place defiantly tries but comes up a bit short in. We came 30 min before closing and maybe that is the issue but the dough didn't seem as fresh as it could be I didn't care for the sauce or the cheese. Overall really not a bad pizza but not as good as Italy that is the take a way. A for effort C+ or B- for execution
After years of trying MidiCi I think we're giving up. We loved it when it first opened...the many, many topping options they used to have which you could have them build in the line were fantastic. Though there was always some issue with the final product, every time we went. They do a generally good job of making authentic Naples style pizza...cooked less than you think it should be in America, but spot on for Naples...but they keep getting our order wrong. This particular time they just forgot about the gluten-free pizza we ordered and brough us the other 2 at least 20 minutes prior to the gluten free one. That's not exactly how a family dinner (or dinner of polite people) should work with one person waiting a VERY long time to get their food while everyone else is sitting there trying to be polite. This is not the first time it's happened here either. Their gluten free crust, which used to be among the best in town, also seems to have taken a step backwords in terms of look and in this case was slightly burned all around. They offered a dessert sampler to us to make good. Which we declined – twice...and then they brought it anyway. I mean, awfully nice of you to want to make good on the food, but if we say "no" twice...maybe respect that choice? I don't see going back to Midici any more...every time we've been since they opened, there has been some issue with our food. Such a promising concept, especially if you love Neapolitan pizza...but, at least for us, it's been a disappointing end result every time.
Unfortunately I’m disappointed about the pizza. Atmosphere was 5 stars and food is 1 star. Average is 3. In appearance it looks good and they have 2 huge oven but the pizza is tasteless. No flavor at all in the sauce, mushroom, even onion. My pizza and everyone else’s was burnt (black around the edges and at the bottom. You know that once something is burnt even a little bit it completely overtakes the flavor of anything else. Hours later I can’t still taste the burnt pizza. I’ll never eat there again.
Had pizza at Medici in Sherman Oaks. It was about a 6 out of 10 — nothing special. Customer service could be better, staff didn’t seem very engaged. The biggest issue was how dusty it was inside — dust everywhere, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. Not the best impression overall.

not sure what all these good reviews are about. the interior design was really nice and big fans of the bathroom but there was no life in the restaurant when we went. the person taking our order was yawning, empty dishes on tables everywhere with a lot of staff members doing absolutely nothing. the dishes were on the table when came and remained till we left. we opted to sit outside because so awkward inside and the table that we sat on (the only one without dirty dishes/people on it) had a leftover dirty rag that we had to move. there was also so much debris in between the gaps on the table that frankly it was disgusting. pizza was good tho, i give just the pizza a 3.5/5 but everything else was pretty disappointing considering the reviews and the atmosphere in the photos. overall there are better places to go.
Ordered 2 pizzas and a salad wasn’t what I hoped for. I am a french trained chef and worked 3 years at Woodstack pizza Italian restaurant in NJ. I cooked thousands of this type pizza. First was undercooked but what I hate is when the dough is so soft it can’t hold its own it shape. Try cutting back on your water. 65% is max 62% is better. Also add some rice flour gives a better crust. Your pizza has no crust just dough. Don’t think I will order here again when others close by are better. P.s. had spicy pizza was good taste just bad texture on the non crust dough. Way to soft for a pizza!
Want to start off by saying I’ve been to this location many times and have been very satisfied in the past but this was my experience tonight. It was a group of 4 and we ordered 2 BBQ chicken pizzas, a margarita pizza, and a meatball pizza. Unfortunately, finding a clean table proved to be a challenge as most were cluttered with dirty dishes and cups from previous customers. We eventually found a table outside that was the least messy. However, with only one person managing the cleaning and serving, it took 30 minutes for our table to be cleared. The rest of the group received their pizzas in a timely manner, but mine was forgotten. After an hour of waiting, I asked what happened and was told my pizza had just been put in the oven. Upon checking, I saw that there were no pizzas in the oven, and I was dissatisfied with the situation. I decided to cancel my order and received a refund. As a regular customer who lives nearby, this was my first negative experience. On weekends, there should be at least two people on the floor to handle the increased demand. On past visits, I've had fast and efficient service, and even received free desserts without asking. While I have had positive experiences in the past, this disappointing night made the pizzeria look bad.
First the good news. They were open late. Not crowded but there were some young folks there. The pizza had the wrong toppings and they didn't care. Nor did I though because it was themepark food. Very subpar. Dough was chewy and bad, like a teenager concocted it in the kitchen. Super expensive. The service was awful but to be fair they had a skeleton crew. Very few employees. For that price you would think you'd get a napkin. No. I had to walk to the back to get one. Tried the leftover slices in the morning. No improvement. Thankfully I have some hot honey that can make anything taste great. Worst 100 dollars.I ever spent.
Good pizza. Bad service. I watched the manager gift desserts to the table next to me, (apparently for some kind of promotion they did for them.) their two pizzas miraculously came out I first even though they were seated after me. I was a paying customer, also a first timer, but I guess you have to be an influencer to get good service. Luckily, the pizza was worth the wait— and the decor is cute— because $30+ for pizza and a sparkling water, and tip is crazy.

I’m always in there but last time call them before coming they said get order before 11:45pm i was there at 11:40 and she said (her name is seire) no accept my order and she was so rude and I talked to the guy he accepted my order ! but she said u can’t eat dine in ! just to go but i was with my friends they gave dine in order but she served my food to go box!! as a same time 👎🏻 poor customer service as a assistant manager !!
I used to come here all the time and had great experiences. Today we walked in the place was FILTHY. No one said hello. We ordered and paid. I ordered 2 peach Bellinis which were served to us half filled. As my husband and I were waiting we found a table to sit at outside. The top of the table was so sticky and as I looked around at how dirty the place was I couldn’t even stomach to eat there. We got up and left and went down to “on the thirty” where we had a great CLEAN experience! Paid $64 just to leave LOL I’d recommend some deep cleaning in your near future and some employees with customer service skills. That might help business as well. It was extremely dead when I was there.
This is not good pizza, my wife and I drive by for years and finally gave it a try tonight, highly disappointed in the meatballs with watery mariners and “The Meats” pizza with spread out little chopped piles of meat on a very sad pizza. This place is not it.
This place used to be great. I've been there many times. But for the last year, it's been horrible. I don't know why I was coming back. Probably because they used to make the best pesto pizza, but not anymore. One time we waited in line for more than an hour, and the next time both pizzas were burnt. And this time, I ordered a pickup, once I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to see my pizza. It is a pesto pizza with NO pesto! So I got just a piece of dough with a few pieces of cheese.
I’ve been a loyal customer of MidiCi Sherman Oaks for over 10 visits in the past three-plus years, but I noticed a decline in food quality after their price increases about a year ago. Today, January 2, 2026, around 12:23 PM, I decided to give the restaurant one last chance. Unfortunately, prices have risen even higher to around $41-42 for a Margherita pizza and summer berry salad, while portions have become noticeably smaller. I was the only customer sitting and i could see why . The summer berry salad featured wilted, old greens and old strawberries that were shriveled and unripe, along with blueberries, blackberries, and dry, overcooked chicken that seemed past its prime—I only took a few bites, leaving the bowl about 90% full. The Margherita pizza had undercooked, soggy, and elastic dough in the center with watery sauce and no proper seasoning; I ate only the crust edges after disassembling it, leaving roughly 80% untouched. Photos clearly illustrate these issues, contradicting the restaurant’s promise of fresh Neapolitan ingredients. When the chef asked for my honest feedback, I politely raised all concerns and pointed them out. He mentioned not having his glasses to inspect and said he would review the plates in the kitchen later, but dismissed everything as “just my opinion,” refusing a refund or credit despite the advance payment and minimal consumption. This lack of accountability and problem-solving from management was disappointing, especially for a former regular—hope this constructive feedback leads to improvements, but I won’t be returning . This restaurant once had it’s prime but greediness and ignorance destroyed it all. This is a disappointing heartbreak for me .
I am gluten and dairy free. Was excited to find this place with gf and vegan cheese. 1st pizza came out burnt toppings and crust, crust was also raw in the middle. After taking it back and explaining how to cook gf crust so it doesn't burn,2nd pizza crust was completely raw. Requested to speak to the chef to explain how to cook gf crust, he refused, explained im a professional gf baker of 12 years and it would benefit customers and revenue. Still refused. I then went for a salad. Requested vegan cheese and all toppings be cooked first then put on the salad like a pizza salad. Nope, room temp toppings that have been sitting out all day thrown on lettuce. Sent it back, 2nd salad was the same so I risked the salmonella and the dressing tasted like straight vinegar. It was so acidic, my party just left. Will not return.
I love Midicis but this is the first bad experience I've had. Wednesday night slow night. It looks like they were training someone new who made a couple of mistakes with other customers and myself. A lady was upset that she had been waiting a long time and held up the line to get a refund. We were eating and enjoying our food but the pizza crust was a little bit burnt for me this time and unfortunately some food was dropped by the teen being trained. Service was slow, not as good as before, food came out slow, the atmosphere felt darker inside than usual to me. Worst was while eating our food we spotted a cockroach crawl up the wall by the tree and we informed staff but they seemed to ignore the comment. I have really had a great time here before so I'm disappointed with the way the night went. The food was still good but the appetite was ruined as soon as we saw the cockroach which could or may have already infested this location. Sadly I don't think I'll be coming back for a while or at all. I hope everyone else has a better experience as I used to have. :(
