Destiny was top notch! Love her personality and patience.. The Philly was amazingg....Drinks are also bomb too! Edited to add: Made another trip to Cellarmen's and really ended up glad that we did.. I ordered the mushroom and pepper jack (originally it's Swiss but I prefer pj) and it was one of the best burgers I've ever ate.. The husband got the double cheese burger with the works, he spoke very highly of it for 3 days or so, and to add to it that a one pound burger.. We will definitely be back, it's quickly becoming one of our favorite places to go..
Pet friendly patio, great service, and delicious food. I had the taco salad (dressing so unique and good), my husband had the chicken fried steak (fries so good), and we split the crostini with balsamic and goat cheese. Highly recommend!
Absolutely FIRE parmesan garlic fries!! And the beers pretty good too
Excellent prices, food was fantastic, employees personable, professional & hardworking. We ordered takeout- The Goat Hamburger (huge, perfectly cooked); they let us substitute fries for a fresh salad which was also a generous portion, and the largest baked potato I’ve ever seen. It came with as many toppings as you wanted. From the call to order, the short time I was there to pick up order, the food portions & price, I was incredibly impressed.
Google has the dine-in option scratched. Not so. Guests are allowed to sit inside or outside. My wife and I love this place. We live in Las Colinas so it's not much of a drive for us to head to Sherman. We always make it a point to stop at Cellarman's. It's been three years since we last visited so we were quite excited to be back. They were out of oysters so my wife and I dug into a pound of peel-and-eat shrimp. The shrimp were plump and fresh. The beer? Freakin' awesome.
Came here for lunch, first time in the establishment and was ecstatic over the food, atmosphere and service. I ordered the chicken fried steak with onions rings and a tea. First off they warn you in the description this will feed 2 normal people and they were not kidding at all! The fact the serving was large is only part of what makes this a great choice; the gravy, breading and meat had had great flavor. The onion rings were hand made and tasted amazing! The server was fast and attentive keeping our glasses full without interrupting our conversation. The atmosphere was simply outstanding, the vibe was definitely a pub!!!
Great food, great selection of icy cold beer, and the best... Fantastic service. Thank you.
Good pizza. Good German sausage. Great beer.
It’s always a good time, food is great and never had a bad server.
We were there Saturday night place was packed but service and food were still stellar. First visit. We sat at the side bar and received prompt service. Atmosphere was lively and a bit loud for my taste but not so much that you had to yell to hear each other. Food selection was awesome (no limited menu here) serving size was very plentiful and fresh. Waitress seemed genuinely happy that we were there and interested in giving us an awesome dining experience (all of the waitresses seemed to be that way with their guest.) Price was reasonable also food and few drinks still were less than our average outing plus left a well deserved tip. Will definitely be returning and definitely be recommending.
As an immigrant I was skeptical going to any place in that area because of a terrible experience of facing racism a few years back. I am glad to say I felt welcomed this time. The management was good, waitresses were great. Drinks were all great, food was great. People visiting the bar were also great. Overall great experience.
We ate here last night Melanie took excellent care of us. I got the loaded baked potato & when they say loaded it truly is best I have ever had! Got everything but jalapeños on it. He got the chicken fried steak which was enormous! Barely fit in the to go box! Drinks are fantastic & great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I am amazed when I read reviews saying that Cellarman's has terrible service. I have been going to this place faithfully since they opened, because of a number of things. I am a beer geek. They have good beer. I love food way more than I should. They have great food, from oysters to fish and chips, to gyros to sandwiches and burgers. From that tasty chicken fried steak some have mentioned (yes, it really is enough for two), to the best pizzas that can be had in Grayson county. And there is one more thing they have. Amazing service. I can only think of a handful of times I have been there when there wasn't someone there almost as soon as my butt hit the seat. The other times I may have to wait 2-5 minutes, especially if they are slammed. I have been in there on nights when it was SRO, and still had great service. They have some of the most amiable staff, too. When I have had such consistency in my experiences with a place for over 20 years, and I see someone come in complain about the food or the service, I can only come to one conclusion. The poor review was not a result of any action by the establishment. And the alleged "poor service" probably had everything to do with actions of the reviewer.
I stopped by with my wife while in the area. The place was very lively and an overall great environment. The choices in specialty cocktails and hand crafted beers are among the best I've seen. The beers were great and my wife's frozen wine swirl was equally as good. The food was excellent and made in house, not frozen. Great place! I will be back!
Personal Meat pie and the fried green beans were great! Enjoyed the meal. Server was friendly and efficient. Traveling through and the portion was 👍
Had a large order for my office that i ordered at 11am (as soon as they opened) the lady on the phone was super patient with our order! getting back to the office with our large order every single thing was cooked perfect and all special request was done! such great experience with our togo order!
Great service with Shenna! Food was delish, we shared oysters on the half shell and fish and chips. Both great, no complaints! We both got a Bloody Mary, my only complaint was the Bloody Mary was pretty intense, not sure if it was extra olive juice or what, it was very pickeley. Like too intense, I couldn’t finish mine. But everything else was great.
Jessica is the most awesome person we have met a long time. We were thankful to be able to dine with Jessica.
The Gyros Sandwhich is delicious. The pita is fluffy, the meat is flavorful, the ingredients are fresh, and the sauce is tangy. I thought the olive tampanade was a great addition. I also love the "Goat" Burger. It's a must try if you like flavorful hamburgers. Whoever created the menu is a foodie genius, and I hope they never stop making delicious food round here.
We came in on Father's Day as a party of five and I think our waitress's name was Kiley. She was great! Super helpful and kind even though we were constantly requesting different things. The food was delicious, too! My only complaint is that the tables were a bit sticky, but it is a bar restaurant so that wasn't too big of an issue. Overall, a great meal with great service!
Visited here for the first time Friday night and it was a overall good experience. Although it was crowded there was plenty of seating. The waitress and staff were good and helpful. The food was very good. I had some pizza, gyros and southwest chicken sandwich and all tasted delicious. I was definitely impressed and will definitely return. It also had a very nice pub atmosphere.
Stayed in Sherman for the weekend, saw this place during the day, decided to check it out. Came in just before 9p. Quickly found a spot at the bar, ordered a flight and some food. Food took a minute, as to be expected, but the garlic Parm fried and whole 9 pizza was good. Not much of a traditional bartender but the girls there were nice. Not much of a singles bar though
The fried shrimp and oysters on the half shell is a great choice, they're own restaurant beer is excellent.
The best place to have food in town. The brewed beers are amazingly good too.
I’ve been coming here since I was a college student over 12 years ago and it just keeps getting better. I don’t know which to rave about first the food, atmosphere, staff, or drinks. I’ll start with the food. It doesn’t matter what you order b/c it’s going to be phenomenal! Some of my faves are the Baja Tacos, BBQ Chicken pizza, Mushroom Swiss burger, fried oysters, and especially the fresh oysters! The Millie Vanilla Porter is delicious and one of Cellerman’s own brews. The staff are top notch! Friendly, fast, and attentive! I love the casual, comfortable, easy atmosphere they’ve maintained all these years. It’s the place we tell everyone to go. You’ll never have a bad time at Cellermans.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's definitely a small town pub vibe, which I'm personally a big fan of. I was expecting them to have just a few average beers but surprisingly they had like 15 house beers and probably another 10 guest taps. I was very impressed by the beers, I had the Pecan Bock and my wife got a flight, all of them were great. We had chili and split a Reuben, both were fantastic. True Texas chili, no beans and the reuben was great. 5 stars all around, will be back when I'm in the area.
Came because google said it was a dog friendly place. We sat in the patio it had fans and was shaded. Our server greeted us right away and asked if our dog wanted water and brought her a bowl. We ordered ciders and beers. The pretzel and beer cheese along with bbq chicken pizza was delicious. Our friends ordered baked potato and they are huge along with fish the chips but substitute for side salad an order of the pizza fries. Our friend said the fish was a bit too cooked slightly burned. My review is off of my food and own experience and I enjoyed the pretzel which was soft and pretty good size and beer cheese, the bbq chicken was delicious we ordered a personal size to share. My husband and I devoured our meals. Would definitely come again.
Great food, especially their pizza and fish tacos! Frindly wait staff. Eclectic pub decor, great place to relax and hang out with family and friends. Indoor and outdoor dining. Local favorite. Great drinks served, including from their own on-site brewery. Parking can be a little crowded. But there are two shopping centers that can handle extra parking needs.
Love this place! Every time I go to sherman I stop here for brunch/dinner. So far everything on the menu has been great and consistent- I visit a few times and year and have yet to have a bad meal/ experience. The staff is always friendly. I've tried the chicken sandwich, philly cheesesteak, Buffalo wings, fries, fried pickles and mushrooms. They have all been fantastic but my favorite so far is the Buffalo wings. The strawberry alchahol slushie was fantastic, i think it's a daquari. There is so much on the menu that looks great, I will keep coming back to try it all! Thanks to all the staff for what yall do, you add some excitment to my work trips and give me something to look forward to ❤️
What a gem of a find! My husband and I traveled all the way from Weatherford 2 hours away to pick up some furniture and this is where we decided to have dinner. We walked in to an absolutely lively atmosphere with people chatting and laughing and servers diligently taking care of all the guests. It was a busy Friday night but there was no lack of stellar service. Shenna was attentive and super friendly. I tried 5 different beers and each one of them was incredible. My favorite was definitely the Loco Lima! We order the Bavarian Pretzel which was so fresh, soft and served with a great bier cheese. My husband couldn't pass up a cup of the chili and it was dang near perfect and piping hot. Then came our main course. My Gyro was absolutely delicious. The pita was soft and fluffy and it was stuffed full with thinly sliced traditional lamb & steak, the tzatziki sauce was good enough to eat all by itself and the olive tapenade was the perfect topping. My husband got the Hangover Burger and although I didn't try it, his face said it all, it was definitely amazing! The beer battered fries were perfectly seasoned and super fresh. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the Old Fashioned Root Beer. So insanely delish that we took a full growler home with us!!! If I could give 100 stars to this establishment, I certainly would!!!
For a pub, this place has great food! Delicious meals and appetizers. The vibe is great too! Very chill and relaxed. Our favorite beers were Loco Lima, Cowboy breakfast stout, and the caramel one. Loco Lima is one of the best beers I've had in a long time. We enjoyed garlic pwrnesan fries. The fried mushrooms are the crispiest I've ever had. Loved the tandoori chicken salad, goat pizza, and Baja fish tacos. A great experience!
Ate here for the 1st time today and it was DE-LICIOUS!!! I had the "BIG Spud" and it did not disappoint!!! The menu said it'd be the biggest potato that they could find and they kept their word!!! This thing was MASSIVE and cooked to perfection with all the trimmings!!! I really enjoyed my lunch there are Destiny was extremely nice & polite, which made my experience even better!!!
Yes I’ve eaten here A Lot recently …..My my my! Where to start?! Visited here back-to-back. Just spot on Delicious each time! AND going to go back to try more menu items. The drinks were perfect …Irish mule, Irish car bond. The giant potato was fantastic. The clam chowder was loaded with clams. The pizzas were cooked perfect. Fish & chips YUM.. not greasy at all! The deserts are Amazing. The chicken fried steak is the largest I’ve ever seen and the Best! I love love the atmosphere, it has the old tavern feel. Everyone is talking and cheerful. I feel happy to have found this little spot, you should most definitely try it too. Prices very reasonable.
A popular local brewery. Arrived with a large party, mostly for dinner. Food is consistently good. Had the personal size Goat Pizza which was amazing. Gyros and fish & chips are equally delicious. Service could have been a little more attentive.
I had a great experience. But in my old age i realize i shouldnt give five stars willy nilly. The philly cheesesteak sandwhich could have had more cheese. And after the spectacular seasoning on the fried pickles and the wonderful flavors and textures in the New England Clam Chowder, the fries seemed a little plain.
Good beer, haven’t tried any of the food though
Okay let’s be honest! I’ve been here many times, they have the best pizza in Sherman, Gainsville, Denison area hands down!!!! The brewery is young and the House taps lack on most levels, I really hope their micro brew gets better! Staff is very good as is the service because of the quality wait staff.
My brother and I have settled on this place for our weekly Bloody Mary lunch. Service is almost always stellar, but we have noticed when Avery is not behind the bar, it goes downhill quickly. I watch the other bartenders get overwhelmed, and cannot keep up. Drink quality goes downhill. Ingredients don’t seem correct and not dressed like they are when Avery is there. But the food is very consistent, and good!
They’re a little bit pricey for a pub type restaurant but damn are they good. The atmosphere is great too. Designed in a kind of a split environment/layout type of way to where you can feel safe and welcome whether your a family with kids or some college kids trying to watch a game and turn up. Drinks are strong, food is good, environment is a vibe. You won’t hate it.
I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and my wife had the Loaded Baked Potato. The food was good. Nothing over the top. Service was solid. Friendly atmosphere. Seating is wherever you can find a chair.
Loose (come as you are) atmosphere with my kind of music (mostly Rock). Nice and pretty waitresses which provided good proper service. Good pub food the group of six adults that I'm including myself all had positive comments about their food and beverages ... So over a very good experience and very much recommend this restaurants to other folks...
Cozy dive bar-esque interior with low lighting, a couple of T.V.s to catch the game. Large dining area, decent sized bar, and a pretty big patio. Great craft beers and delicious cocktails and the food is tasty and gets served pretty quickly. We love the GOAT pizza and garlic fries, and their chili is fantastic.
Located in a cozy corner of town, Cellarman's Pub and Brewery promises a blend of hearty pub fare and craft beer. On a recent visit, the highlights were the "Goat" burger and the fried chicken sandwich, which were both delicious and showcased the kitchen's skill in crafting satisfying comfort food. The "Goat" burger, featuring its namesake cheese and savory toppings, was a standout. Cooked to perfection with a juicy half pound patty and well-balanced flavors, it's a must-try for burger enthusiasts. The fried chicken also impressed with its crispy exterior and tender meat, confirming the chef's prowess in classic American dishes. However, the dining experience was marred by inconsistent service. Despite ordering cheese sticks and pretzels with beer cheese, they never made it to our table initially. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and was difficult to flag down for assistance even with a small attendance as seen in the photos. When the appetizers finally arrived, they were disappointingly cold, suggesting a delay in preparation. The beer selection, brewed on-site, was a redeeming quality. Each pint was expertly crafted, offering a variety of flavors that complemented the meal perfectly. It's regrettable that I had only one, as the waitress neglected to inquire if I wanted another, reflecting a lack of attentiveness throughout our meal. Overall, Cellarman's Pub and Brewery offers enjoyable food and excellent beer in a relaxed atmosphere. Yet, the dining experience was hindered by subpar service, which detracted from what could have been a more satisfying visit. For those seeking great pub fare and a wide selection of brews, Cellarman's remains a worthy stop, with hopes that service improvements will enhance future visits.
Great atmosphere and service. The fried shrimp was exceptional! The batter was a one-to-one ratio equal part shrimp equal part batter. The Cod was white and Flaky the batter was a good beer batter that was also a good ratio. All of the fried oysters were a good size none of them were very small. The pizza is always good here you cannot go wrong. The Oysters Rockefeller was very cheesy with good size oysters! The calamari included tentacles and heads which was a nice refreshing change and very well battered with good taste.
Do not be in a hurry. They’re obviously short staffed. Especially at lunch. It was really good. We thought the personal pizza was just that. It’s actually a medium so we way over ordered. Which was fine. HUGE selection of drinks. Their beers are really good and it’s a really fun vibe. Definitely recommend.
First visit and will return. The reason for the four stars instead of five was due to a very rude employee(she’s in one of the photos in pink jacket), she has no business working in the restaurant! We ordered three dozen oysters, and they are the best I’ve ever tasted. We tried several of the craft beers and each one had a great taste. Our server was Sara(Manager) and she was great! I left her a 30% percent tip due the her exceptional service. Food came out fresh and hot, and restaurant was clean and well maintained. Great staff except for one rude employee, and glad she didn’t wait on us. If you go to dine, make sure you avoid the waitress in the photo. The wall decor is great and they Brewer their on beers in the back. To the owner, if it wasn’t for your manager you would have lost our business tonight and going forward. You have a great restaurant, so I’m confused why you have such a rude waitress.
The food was very good. Service was good until the last 15 minutes. Then had a hunt down the waitress. Was in there in May and had a friend who ordered a burger and does not like fresh tomatoes. So was ordered that way. I ordered a meal and a side salad I needed a little more dressing and they charge extra. I hate nickel and diming customers. If you're going to charge extra for ranch dressing and somebody doesn't want to Tomato you should give them the money back also. I don't mind paying for food but don't play games. Don't know if I'll ever go back
great indoor outdoor space. The fried pizza dough was divine. They were out of a lot of things on the menu and our server was underage so couldn't suggest anything to us. When asking for a beer suggestion "let me go ask for you"
Service was great! Food was over and under cooked. Also cold. Unfortunately didn't try the beer or cocktails but they looked amazing! I'd go back for drinks but not food.
We used to go to Sherman from Paris specifically for cellermans. The last couple of times before this time was okay, but this go round it was not worth the hour drive. Our fried pickles were so salty that they were almost corrosive, and this is coming from someone who eats salt and vinegar chips almost everyday. I got the chicken tandoori wrap, which was delicious, but my boyfriend got the nachos which had a chemical smell and had an inch of grease under the chips. Our waitress was ok, a bit dry but very prompt and got our food correct without writing it down. Two appetizers and three entrees plus the tip was just over a hundred dollars.
In person visit was great. Good food, helpful staff. However, we took out a pizza one night to try it, and the crust tasted very yeasty and was cracked underneath like the dough had been rolled in the morning and sat out all day, so was next to inedible.
I have eaten there several times without ever dining in and the food is absolutely amazing. I decided to dine in for the first time yesterday and the service was horrible. Like 10 or 15 minutes went by before I had to walk up to the bar and ask someone to give us service. Then about another 15 minutes goes by before a server asked us if anyone has asked us what we would like to drink. Another 10 minutes goes by before we actually get our drinks and appetizers go ahead then another 15 to 20 minutes goes by before the server took our food order. that is 1 hour before our server put in our order. A horrible place to dine in but the food is really good.
Cellarman's is part of my college experience when I attended Austin College, I wanted to introduce it to my husband. We got some mozzarella sticks and they were yummy. I got the GOAT burger, the patty was a bit dry but the toppings were yummy. My hubby got a meat pizza and he said the sauce is a bit lacking. We also shared a flight to try several of their beers, I was surprised by the banana pudding ale.
The food was good. The service was not up to par. I asked for Mozzarella sticks and did not receive them. The waiter forgot about them. I ordered the hangover burger that had Pub sauce. Was told it was there in house sauce, it did not come out with the burger. When I was done eating I waited a while for waitresses to come back to get the check. Had to ask someone else for help. This was my first time eating here
The food was okay. I got potato skins, but they were over done and not filled very much. My daughter got Oysters Rockefeller and seemed to like it. We both got Bahama Mama's to drink. Not much alcohol in it. Tasted good, though. It took a while for a server to acknowledge us and to get our drinks, but she was friendly.
Sat outside St. Patrick's day. Ordered our drinks and a starter. The waitress quickly came back to put in our main dish. The Guiness beers tasted like they had been sitting along while. Then the waitress brought our food with the starter. She made us feel very rushed and we planned on staying awhile. BUT WE LEFT. Not fun at all!
My girlfriend and I felt very unwelcome here. We sat outside and were ignored by one of the waitresses. Then someone finally came to take our drink order, and after 10 minutes still no drinks. We left a little pissed off about the whole ordeal.
It was a cute pub. The waitress was nice but she lied right to my face. I had ordered the Cajun wings and they gave me spicy buffalo and when I had said something about it she said they weren’t buffalo and that was their Cajun. I’m sorry but I know what cajun and buffalo wings taste like and those were definitely buffalo. She gave us the receipt which confirmed she had lied because she most definitely rang in buffalo wings. Was not impressed.
READ CAREFULLY... First time customer, have driven by location on numerous occasions, saw full parking lot but never stopped. As a first time customer, was not aware that this was a "seat yourself" establishment, so kind of felt like an idiot for standing at entry and not having a server or bartender acknowledge us, especially when they passed us no less than a half-dozen times before we sat ourselves. Our server was polite and cordial, not overly energetic, but definitely positive. In watching server staff interact with customers, it was clear that the "known customer crowd" received better attention and service that the unknown (or not regulars), that was really disappointing to see. I have always enjoyed local brew pubs, so having not been here before, I inquired about their local made beer and was disappointed to receive very limited feedback and/or encouragement. My son and I chose the "ESB" which turned out to be an incredible choice, probably in my top five in over twenty years! My son ordered the mushroom/swiss burger and I ordered the gyros - both plates were OUTSTANDING. My gyro meat was great, hot, fresh pita, vegetables were seriously still crisp and ice-cold, making our lunch very tasty. We both had the onion rings and found them to be crisp, hot, and not greasy - very impressed. Now here is where we got frustrated and why I gave low overall mark. This review would have been 5 stars HOWEVER the rating is low in response to the price of their beer. Keep in mind, there is no doubt, this brew pub is making money, but there prices for a 64 ounce growler was $22 for beer $18 for root-beer and NO OPTION for purchasing bottled beer. I purchased without checking prices, and that is on me. This establishment could truly make more profit and sell more product by lowering those prices and considering a bottled option, especially given their location and limited competition. We would return to eat and drink again, but disappointed at owners choosing to have high prices.
Ordered fish & chips with coleslaw . It seemed to me that the fish & fries were fried in old burnt oil . If you want to call what the fish were battered in ,the batter was soft even though it was the fish was hot , & not at all crispy . Cellarmans , I thought had good food , as the parking lot is almost always full . But , I know never to buy any fried food from there again . Again except that the fish was hot , both the fish & fries tasted old & the fries were not fresh either . The coleslaw was delicious though . I will be bringing it back today , but I'm at the hospital waiting for my friend to get out of surgery . I'm not looking for credit or my money back , but they need to know what the chefs are not doing & that is serving fresh food , & not cooked in old burnt oil .
Got two salads. Portions were good size. But $32 bucks for salads is a bit outrageous. No drinks
My 30$ plate was more burnt than anything. The fish had no seasoning and our waitress forgot to bring us our beer a couple of times and i had to go get it myself. Was not offered a high chair and had to get that myself as well. Servers need to be taught custmer service vs hospitality. A 200$ check and i did most of the work and the food was burnt.
Okay Randy, why have you never had a person "of color" on your staff? Read YOUR VERY WORDS FROM A PREVIOUS REVIEW... The review was from Tasha McIntyre, and, I was there. Be glad to stop in and discuss it with you "personally" as you indicate next time I'm in town. See you soon Randy, if you will be in town,
The pizza fries were very lack luster, frozen fries not fully cooked with melted cheese and very thin pepperoni. However, the service was worse, after I finished my first beer I waited 10 minutes for her to come back and offer another but since she was more interested in standing behind the bar chit chatting with her coworkers my husband went and asked for one. After 5 more minutes of waiting I went to ask for my tab and she tried to hand me the beer. Terrible service ,will never go back.
Sure food is pretty good, I have never had problems with them until I went there, paid with my debit card, and the waitress tipped herself, even though I wrote a decent tip amount. The tip was more than my meal. I have called for three days straight to be told, the manager would be in Monday, On Monday, I was then told maybe Wednesday. No one called me back even thought they had my number, they just let a new shift leader deal with me. Yeah no one wants to deal with it or even explain to me what happened. Food is great customer service is horrible, I guess only one manager can help you, and it's no big deal to them, when and if they refund me. Right before Christmas, Thanks.
As I call-in and pick up customer - the few minutes of interaction I had with the employee were pleasant . She nice and accommodating . What I’m really here to talk about is this food . A few bites in and my stomach is churning . $60+ for a meal my husband nor I could finish because the food was gross . A gyro sandwich with paper thin slices of meat that looked like deli sandwich meat (and not the good kind) . A wrap that had MAYBE 4 pieces of steak - most of it seemed like tortilla with a little veg , but mostly tortilla . The Philly was dry dry dry … even with the sauce they provide … just really disappointing and not at all worth what was paid . The food used to be good …. But now I fear you have so many varieties of cuisine that you can’t keep up or make them taste good …… take a page from Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares and simplify your menu and execute the things on it well .
The service was terrible. The sign said to seat yourself, which I did. They were quite busy; the table I found had dirty dishes stacked at the edge. A waitress waited on a table right beside me. She came and went several times never looking at me or acknowledging me in any way. After about 10 minutes of her doing this, I asked her if the table I sat at was being waited on. She picked up the payment receipt off the table and said that they must not have seen me. My family showed up about 5 minutes later. The table was never cleaned off. We were never waited on. We walked out. I was there a total of 15 to 20 minutes without anyone greeting in any manner to indicate that I was welcomed and would be receiving service.
NO ONE IS UNDERAGE BTW!!! My friends and I went on a Wednesday night, and the manager of the store came up to my friend accusing her of being underage. My friend then insists on him to check her ID and he says it was obviously fake and went inside to check. Didn’t check, because they don’t have a scanner. When we asked for our IDs back we were upset and raised our voices, that’s when the employees start yelling at us telling us to shut up- no apology for the misunderstanding. We still had to pay for our food even though we didn’t get to finish our meal. After we thought we had settled this as a misunderstanding, bro calls rendezvous and “warns” them about us like we’re part of the mafia or something???? Overall manager was hostile and shouldn’t be taking drinks away like that from women, we straight up thought he was a random drunk freak the way he came up to my homegirl like that snatching her drink. Also manager accused us of being underage but if bro is so worried about his establishment he should train his employees to ask for our IDs because your “trained” employees didn’t do that part- tripping when you can’t get the job done right in the first place, what’s that about?
This rating comes only due to lack of seasoning in the food. This pub had a great environment, a friendly and helpful staff and amazing drinks. Whereas the food looks amazing, it truly falls short on taste. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (which was enormous) and cooked to a beautiful golden brown. Gravy was nice and creamy. They also had amazing cocktails. The the only fault I found was the food absolutely had no flavor at all.
Well..... After the third try of sitting on a table and waiting about 15 minutes for anyone to greet me or tell me if I need a little help front. Or getting a money for myself I think i'm given up. My very first time I came in to hear. How about too much ago? Was someone pleasant comma I would see the timely comma given a menu and my order taken period I got my pizza which was pretty good and as well as my flight obears which I found on satisfactory after hard day's work Forward to today, about two months later and three different times I guess I wasn't enough people at the table to be noticed period. So if you are from out of town or have them get more and want to try this place, make sure you are at 1 person by themselves. Because they don't seem to like their tables, take it up. I'm not sure what's going on but sayanara. This is a small town but there's still more and better choices. The parking lot is very cramped/ limited to finding a parking place if you happen to catch the wrong time of the rush and not to mention it's dark, Lot of electricity saved by not having outside lighting.
I have no idea how all of Sherman recommended this place. We went for the food (I’m sure the alcohol or beer is good) because it was so hyped up to us. First off I couldn’t find the bathroom and instead of showing me one of the waitresses had an attitude saying it was on the other side of the restaurant, okay. Second when we got our food I thought it was a joke. My salad was like a salad from a Walmart grab and go bag. My pasta had so much water in it. It was awful. Dominos oven pasta is better than that and it’s sad. My husbands meal was okay. He said the sandwich was good but the fries tasted like they came straight from the freezer with no seasoning. I figured I would just take my food to go so I could drain the pasta and add seasoning. As we were leaving I forgot to grab my food because I was already annoyed with this whole situation. My husband goes back to grab it, mind you it hasn’t even been a minute yet and they told him they threw it away. We didn’t get offered a refund or partial refund. Not a let me remake it. Not an I’m sorry. Literally nothing. Mind you I tipped over 20% even with all of this happening. The food is extremely overpriced. They also charge .99 cents per ranch without even telling you. I will NEVER go back here and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The food must only be good if you’re drunk.
Got accused of being underage at 22 years old with friends all above my age. Got kicked out, cussed at by staff, and had to pay for the alcohol we were accused of being underaged to drink. Apparently if someone says you’re underage they will kick you out and harass you without proof. Refused to call the police, and didn’t have scanners to prove it. Disgusting.
Ordered spinach and artichoke and cheese dip. They forgot the cheese. It was watery spinach and artichokes. They were too busy to send it back. It was like eating cold spinach out of a can. Service slow.
Sat at the bar and had a nice flight of beers. Service was good. Got a pizza to go. Im sorry to say this was the worst pizza i can remember having. Burnt around the edges. Crust was awful and left a bad taste in my mouth. I had really hoped for a great pizza from here.
Went on Christmas Eve. Come here lots and always have enjoyed it. There’s 1 waitress in particular you never see smile unless serving a guy or 2 that may or may not friends or regulars but hey, i get it. On our latest visit everything went well until we had to ask why our food was taking so much longer than usual. It was between 5:00-5:30 and no crowd at all yet. Food finally arrived. Bill arrived and i saw the waitress overcharged by almost $15.00. Pointed it out and she changed it. Not very apolgetic at all. I hate it but just can’t tip that kind of behavior. They’ve lost a loyal customer.
Couldn’t believe this happened to… ABSOLUTE WORST experience came in at night restaurant was pretty busy and did not get served for over 30 minutes which is understandable. We moved outside to see if we could get some attention outside but still we were ignored by servers. No one even came to check on us for drinks. Finally after being ignored by 4 servers, we flagged a server down and had to get her attention. She came up to us and was like “did you guys need to order?” At this point we were frustrated and just wanted to order. So we reasoned with “yes, we haven’t got menus and have been waiting for more than 40 minutes”. We put in our orders finally with hopes of finally getting our food it was already about to be 11 PM at that point. We wait for another 10 minutes just sitting no drinks mind you we only ordered waters. The server comes back and apologizes and lets us know that the kitchen is closed and she didn’t know. This was extremely annoying, unprofessional, and frustrating. At this point we were just hungry and annoyed. Everyone else was helped at the restaurant except us and we just so happened to be the only people of color in the restaurant. Honestly very disappointing experience we have been to this pub before and did not have this experience. Would not recommend going here so unprofessional and servers are dishonest. There is no way that servers would not know when the kitchen is closing.
