I went to cheddars for the 1st time last week. I returned this week. I had the fried fish and shrimp platter with salad and onion rings for appetizer. Bring extra people or plan on doggie bag. Everything was delicious. Service was great.

Cheddar's never disappoints! A casual atmosphere with a touch of fine dining flair! It's really unlike anywhere else! It had been a while since we had been to Cheddar's and we were amazed that it was still fresh and delicious!! Presentation and service was top notch as well!!

This is a great place to eat. The food is great, it is reasonably priced, and I love the atmosphere. My wife and I started going there when we moved into the area and can't keep from going there at least once a week. We have tried most things on the menu and everything is great. My wife tried the Monte Cristo sandwich, and she was pleasantly surprised by it.

The staff were great 😊. I got the raspberry lemonade I highly recommend it was so delicious. Also really liked their croissant rolls. The meal was good as well

The honey butter croissants are to die for. They are like eating a dessert. They also have frozen strawberry daqueries. The onion rings were perfect and great potato soup.

The waitress was absolutely the best. We had a large group of 20 or more with adults and kids. She was always smiling and great with the kids. We had 2 special needs and she never flinched or missed a beat. Everyone got their food at the same time and it was all correct!

Haven't been here in 8 months because we waited for 20 minutes to be seated so we left. Returned Monday afternoon to have lunch with family and wow were we so happily suprised! The wait staff was awesome, the food was incredible and the place was very inviting! We will return!

I had two respectful and professional staff. The customer service was awesome. Isabel and Josh were outstanding. They showed a nice personality and I really enjoyed my experience. The food was good, but the ribs needed to be a bit warmer. The crossiants were excellent, and the red beans made me think of Louisiana food. I really enjoyed the experience.

Went to Chedders Restaurant Today and Must Compliment the Younger Female Bartender who Waited on Me Placing My To-Go Order. She's Very Helpful and A Breath of fresh air. Ordered the Shrimp With Pasta. My Wife Got the Baked potato Soup and Fried Shrimp. She needs a Raise. Excellent Food and Service With a Smile. I'll be Sure to Request Her Each Time. Wanted to Mention Her and I Know a few Of the Sherman Police Officer's.

My waitress was excellent. My food was great. My family wanted to try their onion rings, they had ran out. My salmon was cooked perfectly.

I mentioned that the steak wasn't as good as the last time and asked if it was because maybe it was a different chef.. Didn't expect them to comp my meal. It was not my intention to moan, was just an opinion. I think this place is the best. The manager went over and above what he needed to. The food and service is excellent.

We came in with a party of six and got seated relatively quickly. Our server was fantastic and our hot croissants were amazing as usual. I had a pot pie, which is usually one of my most favorites and it did not disappoint! I love everything on the menu here and it’s always a treat to get to have a good meal here.

Sorry that I didn’t take pictures. Went in for lunch yesterday, the waitress asked us if we would like a complimentary , honey butter croissant. I immediately froze. I order them every time I go. No one has ever asked me if I wanted a free one. And oh boy yes I did. So did my husband. They came out on individual plate plates with the honey butter drizzled across them like the perfect picture. I love eating here. And if you keep feeding me, free honey, drizzled croissants, I will continue to come.

Just saying I was broke down on the service road in front of this place and was there a long time. It was during the freeze days. A girl come out and wondered if I needed some food and she would bring it to me. It is great to know there are great people here and would highly recommend this place just due to that reason. We came in the late evening for a meal. Our waitress Isabelle was super. She was always attentive and filled our tea before it was emptied. Efficient, friendly despite being at work since 10:45 am. Well done. I had the smaller portion salmon and shrimp with bourbon glaze, rice, baked potato, and red beans and rice. My husband had chicken fried chicken and gravy, toast, red beans and rice, and a baked potato. All the food was excellent with generous portions. We got full and took our potatoes home for tomorrow. We enjoyed the beautiful aquarium and the fish. And we especially loved the fresh, warm, drizzled croissants served before the meal

We took our granddaughter to Cheddar’s for her very first visit, and it couldn’t have been better! The atmosphere was comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the food was delicious as always. Watching her enjoy her meal (and a few bites from everyone else’s plates!) made the experience even sweeter. Cheddar’s gave us a great family memory, and we’ll definitely be back. We moved Sherman about 3 months ago and have started trying the local restaurants, but we've been rather unimpressed until we found Cheddar's. Wow! Great food, great service, reasonable prices. Our server was just the right amount of attentive. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich, and my wife had chicken tenders. Portions were big and tasty. I also tried their special Halloween-themed cocktail. Not quite strong enough for my taste, but still good. This is now our #1 restaurant in Sherman.

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is superb! The potato cheese soup had the perfect consistency and no need for the salt shaker on this one..just a pinch of pepper if you like an extra taste. The bacon & cheese I had on the side to add gradually. The buttery croissant was soft and sweet it was an excellent combination together. This place is a comfortable setting. Our very welcoming professional waitress Faye shared some great menu possibilities. She is so detailed & very personable that Faye would be great to train into management. Cheddars is a must and will be back to enjoy again more.

Went out for weekly lunch date with veteran and his sister. The ambiance is welcoming. It was very busy I understand why. It took a little bit for the server to come back take our orders. The bun was buttery and paired with the pickles it was so delicious. Tbh, best chicken sandwich I've had between the 6 States I've been to. I look forward to coming and ordering it again and again. Onion rings ordered extra crispy....oooh yummy. I love that they are not thick rings or breaded. They are thinner rings of onion , batter dipped and crisped to crunchy perfection. When you bite them you bite the onion with the crispy coating, not just the outer coating and the onion still hanging there after. The hamburger was cold my veteran said but was good. His sister ordered the pot pie and was from scratch with plenty of chunks of chicken, peas, potatoes and the crust so flaky. For a home cooked meal without messing your kitchen go to Cheddar's.

They were slammed when we stopped by for dinner last night. Even so, we were seated in 10 minutes (2 people). They were pretty quick with the honey butter rolls but It did take a few minutes to get our drinks. The server was friendly and helpful. My wife had the salmon and I had the lemon pepper chicken. Both were very good and we shared a piece of carrot cake for dessert! The cake followed the current trend of too sweet and not quite done cakes but overall had a nice balance of spice. At less than $50 for drinks, the meal and dessert the price was probably the most reasonable in the area for a sit down dining experience.

The staff was all friendly. My waitress was annoying I would order and she would repeat it which was fine but than before she left my table she would repeat it 2 more times. She asked me several times if I wanted a box or a to go drink. I am glad she asked but you should only ask once. Twice employees dropped stuff from thier trays on the floor it does happen but the same person in 10 minutes. The food was great.

I love the croissants of course, the honey butter makes them really stand out. The chicken fried chicken was different, not bad just it was to thick I actually thought it was a chicken thigh. I expected it to be more like chicken fried steak. The prices were reasonable. We were a party of 7 and the servers were really great and patient.

The food is so good. Had the lemon pepper white fish twice there now and both times it’s was amazing. So definitely there is consistency and the food will definitely be good next time as well. I preferred the loaded baked potato which is got the second time over the mashed potatoes, but both were delicious. Wife got the salmon and she was happy too. Our server the first time (Randall S.) was the best..made our day that time. The second time around the server was not that attentive and was okay and hence the 4 stars. Talk about downhill I remember loving this place and knowing everyone's name that worked there. Not so much anymore. Food and service and especially tea took a bad turn. Went there Wednesday and sat for 15 minutes before we got our drink order taken. Meh

So i am a Bar Manager in Bishop Arts came up here to take my niece out to eat for her bday. Our Waitress was very slow, spinach dip, came very close to meal. Refills never happened, servers and hostess on phone. I had to go to the bar to place a togo order. That at the beginning of us seating i said we needed to place a togo order. Then Jessica G our server asked if we needed anything i said a togo box for my food and a togo coke for my child for our 2 hour drive home. She gave her a glass of coke. I reminded i needed a togo she gave her a to go but no straw. I waited waited waited i had to go to the togo girl and ask for a straw. As i was walking into the bar area to ck on my to go my server goes ma'am you didn't place a togo order... I said yes i did i pointed at the togo girl and said i paid her. It took her 15-18 mins to see if i even placed an order with her? She had 2 tables when we came in and then the table left so the booth behind me and us were her only customers. I would understand if it was busy. But there is no excuse for this. No reason at all just plain bad service. We spent 63$ for food for empty drinks plates on table and i had to walk to bar area to get things i needed.

Just ones opinion, we arrived before the rush around 11:15 am Saturday morning. We ordered the chips and dip for starters. The chips were served warm and chewy stale so I informed our waitress who then brought out another order of fresher stale chips, of course those were returned. I ordered a grilled cheese and fries. Fries were cooked perfectly and grilled cheese was still cold cheese on warm bread. Needless to say sent grilled cheese back but ate my fries. lol. My husband ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad and it was served perfectly. Also please note the filth of our booth that rapped all the way around obviously left from Friday night. The Manager was made aware of the issues but never came out to confront any of the issues, very poor management. Also why do you sit children in the bar area?

Two meals never arrived. No rolls ever came to our table. Never received refills on drinks. Bathrooms were gross. Manager came to the table but I don’t think he cared but he did remove the appetizers off the bill. Not a great experience.

Merry Christmas!!! Me and my husband dined at this location tonight and the server Selina was absolutely amazing. There was a little bump in the visit but as soon as Selina was redirected to our table the meal went well. Thanks to the manager who corrected the issue, he is all right.

Can't say that I'm a fan of indoor dining with barking dogs. But then I'm also not a fan of dining with screaming kids OR adults talking overly loud. All of this was at the same table right across from us. The dog was the only choice Cheddar's could Babe made differently. Maybe its just me.

Employees are knowledgeable about where things are in the store. But when it comes down to what the item is and how it can benefit you specifically electronics. Or internet routing? They're not the most knowledgeable which is understandable

1 week ago i ordered fried fish. 1 peice was fish the other 2 peices were chicken fingers which I'm no fan of. today my wife aand I order cheese burgers. they were cooked medium well. They were dry and almost tastless the bun had better flavor.

The wait person never returned to refill water or iced tea during entire meal. My wife's ribs were very dry, over cooked, and not edible. The wait person invited that we use table top computer to pay our bill. This is something that I have a hard time dealing with especially under the circumstances with the poor food and service. I do not come to a restaurant to be placed in a voluntary cashiers position.

There are three things I still love to come get. Unfortunately they don't have a good steak on the menu so my bf never wants to go. The food just isn't as good and service seems to have gone down hill. I'd love a makeover and get this place back to what it was.

So the service was great as far as the waiter . The main issue is apparently management. On a Saturday night when there is a 30-45 min wait but there is an entire section open means to me that someone in charge can not handle the job. Apparently they are short handed which should not happen in any restaurant on a weekend. Something needs to change. Someone needs to either hire more workers or fire some and hire the right ones . I own my own business and customers are the only thing that keeps any business open.

I don't know why I keep going back to this place to spend my hard earned money. The person that seats you took us to a really dark table. We didn't want to sit there. It was then like a 10 minute ordeal to move tables...really? The food was not that exciting 😐 BUT THE HONEY BUTTER CROISSANTS WERE WORTH EVERY PENNY. Maybe I could just go there for them!!!

Food & service was great but the women's bathroom was disgusting. It smelled like an open sewer & looked terrible. The employees use that bathroom! One employee came in & sounded like they were very "sick🤮" in the toilet, then went right back to work. Made me wish I hadn't eaten already. I was so grossed out, I'll never go there again. Sad that they make their employees work when they are so sick.

Stopped in for a quick dinner, but it took forever. The service was terrible. The food was decent, but it took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged after being seated. Another 15 minutes to get our drinks. The grilled chicken salad was very tasty and we loved the croissants. The carrots were delicious, too.

I love coming to Cheddars, food and service are always great! That said, take out is a whole different story. One which I will never do again after too many messed up orders. I ordered take out to today, had my daughter pick it up. I ordered a Caesar salad to go with my meal. The Lettuce was brown, there were no croutons or cheese. $3.95 for a salad that was thrown away since dead, brown lettuce isn't all that appetizing. I ordered ice tea, unfortunately it was sweet tea. Also thrown out. Last time they screwed up my order with a missing side and forgot to put in the croissants I had ordered. My son went back and they treated him like he was trying to scam them. Again I always have fine experiences in the restaurant. But the to go experiences have been so bad, I'm not sure I will give them anymore business, period.

My daughter and I went to Cheddars for lunch. I have only been there once, she had never been. Our Server was fantastic! However, the food was horrible! The food here is very bland. I had a Caesar side salad that was drowning in dressing, and a pot pie. The chicken in the pot pie tasted bad. I didn’t eat any of the chicken after that piece. My daughter got the shrimp Alfredo. She said the shrimp was alright, but the sauce tasted weird and she didn’t like it. The only thing that we did like was the Appetizer Wisconsin cheese bites. Service is great, but because of the food, we will not be coming back.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience. The staff couldn’t care less about those they were serving. Our mashed potatoes tasted like they were a week old, the ketchup at the table tasted old, I got served a burger with no sauce, and I had to get out of an employees way on my way to the bathroom. This use to be a great place to eat, not sure what happened to the food quality and the service quality. Manager apologized but didn’t offer anything to make it better. Do better!

The bar service has really just changes I went on my birthday I waited over 25 min for anyone to finally say what would you like to have I went as a redeem for them because just shy of two months before that me and a business partner got cold queso with scraped beef sprinkles from the bottom of the pan all while I had too look at patrons that look like they just woke up from a barn in two day clothes or pajama clothes I went to get my fone out of the car one of the attendants that show you to the table turned and said to me oh better luck next time I was just getting my fone the young generation will never that generation to change it all do better but I won't see you ever to see it✌🏿

Waited 15 minutes for a table. Waited 1 hour for a salad and burger. The Spinach dip was too thick. The butter croissants were great. My strawberry lemonade was a hit n miss; 1st was great, 2nd was bitter, & 3rd was to-go and great.

I don't remember the date I ate there but I had the chicken fried chicken and the gravy tasted burnt.It tasted like someone poured sugar on it.I didn't get a refund.I haven't been back.

Never again! The young lady who bought my food to my car was sweet - however that's where it stopped. I got home got got ready to eat my food replated it of course and my ribs were hard and old - I called back up to the location and was told Ive been gone 30 minutes - my response was what does that have to do with old hard ribs, I asked to speak with a manager it even got worse. Im clearly upset at this point, first I am being blamed for old har ribs and it was not 30 minuets it was about twenty two to twenty five minuets I live about fiften to 18 from the locations again ribs still should not be old or hard within that timeframe. SO the managher get on the phone and clearly Im upset I went out for dinner because I did not feel like cooking she and yes I may have raised my voice but not one time did I curse the manager stated I cursed at the first lady that I spoke with was not true then she began to tell me that she was not going to help me as long as I talked over her and would not let her talk - excuse me your employee lied on me and I am still trying to express to you the issuse so you were interupting me! Anyway I just wanted my money back no gift card my money! She advised me I could bring the ribs back or I could take a gift card. I said this is ridculous she said no Im done I am not going to do this and tried to give ma 800 number I hung, up and will be going up first thing in the morning with these old ribs! Never again! Where is the customer service and experience that a patron is to get when eating out? Typically, I get my steak and sides and have never had an issue with the service or the food. But this time has set the tone, and non of Darden restaurants will ever see my money again for the exception of Eddie V's, Seasons 52, and Capitol Grill, but Cheddar's especially in Sherman! If you are not built for the service industry, get out of the industry - going out should be an experience not a battle! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE! Like I said before, you can replace bad food but not bad customer service! This morning no, they did not replace or undo the bad customer service I experienced last night, but they did create an amazing customer experience and showed me the true culture of this location, which is and has been since 1938 "Service with a hop." I hate to leave this review…as I am a regular at this location every week, but after last night I am afraid of coming back…and I love cheddars. Here is a photo of my dog eating nearly a whole rack of ribs that I had left over and took to go. I am feeding to the dog because about 3 hours after leaving the restaurant I became violently I’ll. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that proceeded all through the night. Cheddars was the only thing I had eaten all day, and the ribs were the only thing that I ate, that my husband did not, and he was not sick, so by process of elimination it was the ribs. Today I feel better so I no it is not any illness such as the flu or anything, as it would not be over this quick. Idk if it was just a bad batch or if they were left out to long before cooking or what but I got food poisoning from them.

Absolutely the worse service we have ever had at this location.. we ordered our drinks and appetizers, it was nearly 25 minutes before it came out, then the waitress spilled the tray of drinks in which went all over table, my wife & our feet under the table, she was very apologetic.. it wasn’t intentional. We sat there for several minutes before it got cleaned up, then we ordered, the service was very slow, no sense of urgency, we’ve been here an hour and half, I’ve paid bill & nearly 10 minutes later got my change..

I came in for my birthday and ordered the chicken tender plater. The moment I saw the chicken when they brought it out, I felt something was wrong. The batter looked different than I remember, and though it was hard to tell, it didn't quite look like the picture on the menu. The tenders were kind of dry and tasted bland like they had been microwaved. They looked like what you would get in a bag of frozen chicken tenders at the Wal-Mart next door. It was getting kind of late and I thought it was just in my head, and I didnt want to cause a stir so close to closing time. When I got home and compared the left over tenders to the pictures on the Cheddars web site, the batter was very different. Next time I'll trust my instincts.

Gross! Debris floating in our drink was inexcusable! The worst part was no one seemed to care that we were served something disgusting....and we were still charged for the drink! Thanks for ruining our date night!

We ordered to go, the app worked fantastic...it seemed the people were the problem. The girl delivering the food to the car LITERALLY shoved it at me and immediately walked away. We ordered chips and dip and it was handed to me sideways. She walked out with her mask pulled down around her chin(why even wear one?) And walked away within seconds with food missing that we paid extra for. No salad. The food was delicious, but I just spent 20 minutes trying to get ahold of somebody at the restaurant to get my money back- AFTER I already tipped....but was laughed at and put on hold multiple times as if it was MY fault for them giving horrible service. Disappointed.

This cheddar's branch has been a favorite of my wife and I for 18 years but after today it is difficult to know if we will come back. We went there for lunch today at about 2:30 in the afternoon. I dropped my handicapped wife off at the door and asked her to get us a table while I parked the car. When I walked in the door I observed the host attempting to seat the party behind my wife, but they were honest and looked irritated for her and reminded him that she was in line before them. He had acted as if she was invisible. He gave us a weak apology and then led us to a booth that someone with the common sense of a 12 year old would know that a paraplegic would not be able to get into. We immediately left the restaurant. I don't believe the host was maliciously rude, but he needs to be trained on how to pay attention to people and be considerate. He seemed to be a bit of an idiot because what he did was very insulting. He must be retrained by management.

I was disappointed with my experience. My daughter and I come to this Cheddars quite often. Just a few days ago I ordered food and they forgot my chips for my queso. I called and they offered a gift card but I wanted chips ofcourse since I didn't have any so card was for inconvenience. Today I had guest visiting so we ordered to go. The salmon tasted of like it was old. My guest ordered a slab of ribs and they were very disappointed as well. We called and asked if we could return the food and get something else. They said "no" but offered gift card. We were like we can bring food back and you return money but gift card was only option and it was reduced because they gave one earlier in the week. We not the blame for the mess up what does one have to do with the other. I'm here now using the gift card to get different food because the last was bad. My order ready time was 840. Didn't get food until 910 and still had to go back in for missing items.

After the 15 minute wait to get seated, about normal. We spent another 15 minutes waiting to be served. I finally had to ask the hostess as she seated someone else to please find us a waiter .One finally did show up and took our order. The salads took forever, and sure enough 3 minutes later our food came. Leaving no time to eat and enjoy the salad. The baked potatoes were from earlier in the day and were stale. After getting home I noticed that we were charged for the salads that were one of our sides. We left not very happy with our CHEDDARS experience. ***Cheddar's did right by us a few days later. We will be back, this was our first bad experience.

Nothing against the food but the employees literally sat me and my wife and then ignored us . My wife went to the restroom by the time she got out we still hadn't gotten our drinks ordered so then we decided to click on the kiosk to call server she shows up takes our order . Food takes forever and then she proceeds to ask do we need anything else I asked for more water because both our cups are empty she says okay and never comes back with them instead comes back with my to go dessert that I ordered almost 30 mins ago and then my card didn't work they had to manually put it in and I've been sitting here because apparently the manager is too busy to swipe his card to approve it. 🙃 so instead they allow a paying customer to sit out here for nothing 🙄 waiting. Do better. Don't waste your time.

Went in to order a to go Order and have a drink at the bar, and the bartender waited on three customers that sat down after I did. She didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. Love their food, but service was horrible. I always give them another try and their service is almost always terrible. The last time I was there I had a whole glass of water spilled in my lap and I didn’t even get an apology. I will Order my food on the app from Now on.

Arrived at 12:05pm. Got seared in about 15 min. which was good for lunch time. The waitress took our order and brought our drinks. Never came back to check our drinks took several other orders for new arrived guests. Finally after 25 minutes I ask about our order. She stated they were waiting on the hamburger. Finally now 40 minutes in the newly arrived guests had ordered and received their food several tables. I ask if we are going to get our food soon. 10 minutes later our 3 dinners arrived. My hamburger and fries were not even warm. The cheese on the burger was literally cold like from the refrigerator. Worst food and service. After asking for the manager and stating I would not pay for that meal. Didn’t eat it at all it looked so bad and cold. The manager did come and apologized and took that one meal off. I’ve given Cheddars 3 tries. I’m out. But seriously Cheddars send in secret shoppers you will be shocked at how awful your restaurants are.

They gave me a fried apple pie covered in table salt no sugar threw it away also gave me part of a lady named Glenda threw it away didn’t give my husband his gravy for mashed potatoes or country fried chicken didn’t give me my coleslaw or my tartar sauce or cocktail sauce ask for sweet tea was giving unsweetened tea I want my money back

Its was ok until we asked for a plastic fork for our baby and the waitress rolled her eyes at us so we asked for a manager and she said she was gonna take care of our dessert and went to pay and dessert was still charged wow

Service was fine food came out pretty quick. Ribs are horrible here 😫 dry, so dry. Beer battered shrimp were a little above room temp with no flavor. Overall food is horrible. Drink you a nasty rum drink and hope theres enough alcohol to forget how bad the food taste 🤣

We had a Togo order, we were told our order would be ready at 6. My husband was there at 5:55. He waited for 30 mins before the food was brought out. I can understand a little bit but a misjudgment of 30 minutes is a little much. We ordered an appetizer trio sampler with tosses chicken tenders, cheese fries and chips and spinach dip. The chicken tenders were bone dry despite the note on top of the container that CLEARLY SAYS “CKN TENDERS TOSS HONEY HOT”. Also the cheese fries only had bacon on them, NO CHEESE! And not to mention our main dish was super salty. I normally don’t complain but this was just terrible. Do better

Food is pretty great, however while we were eating, the booth was dirty, not cleaned, and there was a giant cockroach that climbed on our table. I ended up throwing up afterwards and had a really bad experience. Normally, I enjoy coming to this place, but tonight was a really really bad experience.

That's supposed to be a loaded baked potato dry as a bone and no sides. Green beans..... I mean that's $2.89 for 8 green beans, oh and 2 pieces of corn. The shrimp was as soggy as the lettuce. Bread crumbs on salad was well pieces of soggy bread. Rice with salmon was maybe 4 table spoons worth. Horrible experience and service.... they need some more training for sure!!!! And most of all NO CROISSANTS!!!!
