Food was delicious, especially the Chicken Anthony!
Went for Easter brunch and everything was excellent 😊
Love the food and the warm rustic atmosphere
Very nice, very accommodating
love Emily and the staff! Great food
Wow what a great place to eat !! Prices were perfect too , food so good I felt like I was ripping them off. :)
Great food ,wonderful staff..no complaints. Emily does a fabulous job...
Excellent food. Very nice restaurant. We'll return there.
Service was great and the food was fabulous highly recommend will definitely go back.
Great food, great service. Ample parking.
Refreshing spot for dinner or celebrations! Food, service, and ambiance are stellar!
What a great place! Great food and drinks.

Fabulous food. Relaxed atmosphere. Nice people
Nice, enjoyable dinner!
Fabulous food, friendly service, prime location!
Delicious food and drinks. Very cozy atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!
Great dinner, food is above average. Atmosphere is casual yet special.
Simply amazing. Fantastic food. You have got to try the home made clam chowder.
First visit & everything was perfect . Outstanding service , the best veal parmigiana I’ve ever had & home made desserts were incredible . Definitely a new favorite for us THANK YOU MANDANA INN
Such a wonderful experience. Great food and cocktails. Our first time here but it won't be the last.
Our friends told us about you, who live in Auburn. One of the best dinners ever!!! We will be back on our next visit!
Great location, beautiful view, and friendly & efficient service. I was very imressed with how flavorful and fresh the ceasar salad and steamed clams were!
A fabulous supper club. Fantastic food, cocktails, atmosphere! Would return again!!
The best restaurant for a good date night when you have some extra money to spend. $80 night out for 2 people. Pricey but worth it.
Had great service and plenty of options on the menu. Just remember to be patient with being short staffed but worth the wait.
Excellent food. Great service. While the prices are somewhat expensive, the superb food and service make you glad you came.
This inn has been in existence since 1835 and sits just off the lake on the west side, 5 minutes outside of the village of Skaneateles. Consistently delicious food, and lovely service (we sat at the bar). The portions were large, food was very well prepared. The Chicken Parm was put into contention for "best ever" The wedge salad is half a wedge! be prepared for leftovers, which will make an awesome lunch. Italian/American in style. Good wine list.
On June 18th, Mandana Inn catered our son's wedding. We are highly satisfied with everything. They were professional, on-time, and the food was delicious. Emily assured us that everything was under control, and it was. They helped make our son and his wife's wedding one of the best weddings we have ever been to (besides ours). We got a lot of positive feed back from our family and guests, too. We highly recommend Mandana Inn, thanks to Emily, Chris and their staff.
Beautiful event barn, have been to one wedding and one wedding welcome event.
Glad to see the MI reopened and the familiar faces. Here's to a successful reopening for Emily and crew! The food over two nights was excellent, as was the service (Thanks Lauren and Sam!), and of course the wine list and cocktails. Jim Cosmo behind the bar fits right in and with a little time can match up with Bergie! (Har harrr!) Although we're missing a couple of prior menu mainstays (frog legs!), times are a-changing but the excellence has remained. The fishermen from back east will be back again for sure
Definitely a hidden treasure. Food and service was outstanding.
Wonderful food and service! We had a great experience and had a large party of 6. Will definitely be dining again at the Mandana Inn!
I came here last month. The food is amazing and the owner is so nice. Immaculate customer service by this family owned restaurant. Highly recommended Italian restaurant. 5 stars.
So glad Mandana Inn has opened back up! Went for our anniversary and had an outstanding dinner. Service was fast and excellent. Our server, Austin, was so nice and pleasant.
Great food and cocktails served in an historic inn with views of Skaneateles Lake. The Mandana's menu is sure to please everyone with stunning appetizers like Escargot or fried Calamari, and exquisitely prepared Italian specialties like Chicken Riggies, Chicken, Veal, or Eggplant Parmesan, as well as amazing steaks, chops, and seafood. It's usually very busy, so I recommend calling for a reservation. The staff are courteous, skilled and attentive. The Mandana Inn is a definite must-try!
The most delicious food! The clam chowder was better than Maine's, the mashed potatoes, salmon, linguine and clam sauce, all spectacular and full of flavor! The atmosphere was wonderful and service great and kind! We will make this our new location for a nice evening out!
The bartender Tom makes great drinks - I very much enjoyed a cosmo and margarita. And the beer on draft was cold and crisp. I had a nice house side salad with fresh greens and a vinaigrette dressing, freshly baked focaccia bread with flavored butter, and a huge portion of eggplant parmesan. I enjoyed eating at the bar. The cozy place was filled with warm conversation very much facilitated by the owner / manager and staff.
Had a great meal with our friends tonight at the Mandana Inn. Great food, service, and atmosphere! Our night was topped off with a lovely conversation with Emily, the owner. We’ll definitely be back!
Went for Fathers Day Dinner with ten and what an awesome experience we all had with the meals, atmosphere and the staff! Everyones meals was so delicious and our waiter, Mark, was awesome along with the other staff intervening to help!! The atmosphere was relaxing and the decor so inviting! (Great Job Emily) Our family can't wait to go back!
Great menu, with delicious seafood options. Wait staff is friendly, professional, and attentive. Atmosphere is inviting. Our orders ran the gamut from the halibut special, the beef short rib special, the chicken Anthony, the ribeye (which was cooked perfectly as ordered), the salmon, and the scrod.
Now that the Micucci family gained ownership to this fine restaurant, service has been astounding. The bar is superb while the food is remarkable. This is a highly recommended place whether you're looking for an exquisite dinner or a lavish catering event. Not only will the restaurant leave you pleased, but they will also leave you feeling like family.
I have been enjoying the Mandana Inn since I was a young boy. There have been changes, but this is still the place to go for a special occasion. Good food, good people, and great experiences. I can't wait to put the next trip to Mandana.
This is one of those out of the way places that one must intentionally choose to find and eat at. It's not just another joint in the downtown Skaneateles tourist trap. Its sort of a drive to get here. You don't just wander into this place as you shop. Its about 5 miles from "town", and its worth the trip. The atmosphere is more old school than trendoid new. And that is seriously good. Call ahead make a reservation on busy summer weekends and holidays. The place is friendly. The cook is seriously good, especially about steak and seafood, cooked to perfection. Years ago a previous owner came up with a fish dish he called "Boston Scrod" that has been kept on the menu because it is seriously RICH and good. I think that lots of butter and ritz crackers may be involved. I always think somebody at the table should get it. But everything is good here.
Mother's Day brunch today was delicious. Loved it, definitely heading back
Amazing food better service very cozy quaint establishment that has a very passionate owner and chef. Would recommend it for anyone local or visiting from out of town. Make sure to make reservations at tends to get busy because of how great it is
First visit last week and we will be back. Went with our besties and we all loved it. Seating area was a little dark but that's ok. There was a party going on and things moved a little slow but that's ok because we had catching up to do. Started with fried green tomatoes and meatballs, both were delicious. I had the baked scrod which was also great. The stars of the evening were the desserts. Piled high with whipped cream and tasty. Very reasonably priced meal as well.
It was a great experience going there for an event that we had a wonderful time. Great food, great company and the service was amazing. You have an amazing place and I will be going back with friends and family to show them where the community that we live. We have an amazing restaurant. Thanks, we see each other again.🇵🇷👩🦼

Servers were young, but extremely well trained and courteous. Love the food and old charm.
Fantastic hidden gem. Delicious food, big plates. The desserts are home made and to die for
Our first visit in years. We were pleasantly rewarded with an outstanding dinner and service. We will be returning!
In the many, many visits my wife and I (and our large family) have made to the Mandana, we've never been disappointed. The food is always great, the atmosphere unsurpassable, at a reasonable price and good service. Whether it's dinner for two, or 25 for Mother's Day, do yourself and guests a favor and call the Mandana for reservations.
My martini was spot on the bartender even offered to give me blue cheese olives!! Our server was phenomenal! The food was authentic Italian which is hard to come by on this area. Dessert was divine. The owner Emily was so gracious and lovely to talk to. She even offered to give us a ride home if our Uber didn't show!! Will absolutley be coming back!
The Inn was full but we didn’t wait more than a few minutes(we had reservations). Our waitress,Laura, was amazing & could have used roller skates as she hustled between the six tables she was covering! She took our beverage order & the wine arrived within a few minutes. We both ordered chicken Francaise & it was delicious. We each took half of our meal home with us as the portions were so generous. We have been dining here for several times each summer for over 30 years & these owners have noticeably improved the Inn & it’s food. Looking forward to our next visit.
On a very busy Summer night with completely filled reservations, our hostess was absolutely attentive to our reservation and with keeping it right on time. She was impressive in her handling of a VERY BUSY NIGHT, even performing more duties than just as the hostess! Our server was also attentive and concerned with our experience and the wait time on the delivery of our meals. We were offered a very nice round of drinks due to his " perceived" long wait to get our meals...we were actually fine and didn't have concern about it !! I would definitely recommend this place..I ordered one of the specials ( HALIBUT ) and it definitely did not disappoint !!! Price was just right too. Hats off to the current owners of this lovely place !!
Service was a bit slow on a Saturday night when I went, but was totally worth the wait. Ordered baked scrod. I was very impressed with the quality of food. Bread was also very and good ordered more for the table. Can also say my house salad was delicious.
My first time there. Had the escargot. Excellent. Had the Chicken Marcella… Excellent ….. and there was plenty of it. I was stuffed when I left. Owner is what I’d call spicy. My observation is she takes great pride in her restaurant. And it shows. I saw a couple negative posts. There’s always one or two of those. Those folks should grab a glass of wine and relax a little. Take r easy for all us sinners.
We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer that were absolutely delicious. Chicken Anthony is one of my new favorites along with the Summer salmon entree. Open steak sandwich is always an excellence choice. I’ve always had a great dinner at Mandana. Staff is professional and friendly. Christopher is a great bartender who is always courteous and is a great mixologist!

Good portions of food. One the pricey side but a great place for a fancy night.
Nice dinner. Attractive setting. Not many Finger Lake wines.
Food and service were very good, kitchen was quite slow
Food and location are great; service could be better.
My first time! Food was great. If it wasnt raining, I hear the view is lovely.
Comfortable always like going home for dinner with the family. I have been a client of the establishment for almost 20 years.
We had an anniversary dinner here.food was good.service was excellent.
Had Easter lunch with family, very friendly service and fantastic food, from the appetizers to dessert, everything was great and presentation of food is a bonus. Very reasonable pricing for the level of dishes they serve The baked scrod was incredible, I will return
Food was great! Be prepared to wait... our drinks and appetizers came very quickly; then we waited over an hour for entrees. Also, my daughter ordered the beef Carpaccio. We asked if it was raw...waitstaff said no, and there was no indication as such on the menu. Sure enough, when it came it was raw and my daughter could not eat it. Dessert came very quickly.
1st time for us. Very good, but extremely busy. The hostess was a sweet heart, but our waiter lacked some of the polish as other waiters we saw in action. And he wasnt new....
Not what I expected. Over priced for the quality of the food and service.
Food was good, but they underestimate their numbers. The wait time was rediculous.
Food was amazing but the service was very shotty
Poor service, excessive lapses between ordering and getting drinks, appetizers, entrees. One of their specials was unavailable an hour after opening. Scallops were undercooked, drinks were weak. Won't be going back.
O Food was ok but the steak came out and looked like they just threw it in a pan and took it out once it got a crust, I ordered medium rare and came out raw. Overall okay experience
Decent food served slowly in semi comfortable surroundings. Could be a five star establishment with more attentive and professional service.
Terrible service, very slow, okay dinner, lamb was cooked correctly, skip the chocolate lava cake. Tasted like prepackaged cake with Hershey syrup on top for the lava.
Food was OK. The hostess was totally overwhelmed trying to seat dine-in customers as well as take carryout orders over the phone. Was on hold for 20 minutes while driving to the restaurant and ended up handing them my order.
Food was ok but had to wait almost 90 minutes for our appetizers.
Honestly the food was good the wait for drinks and dinner was horrible. Once was enough for me to bad cause meal was good but timing is everything
We had a 6:30 reservation for a party of 12. There was already a large party finishing dinner when we sat down. We got served dinner 3 hours later. There were other issues to cause the low rating, such as not getting our second round of drinks for over 30 minutes, not having the water glasses refilled (even though the guy assisting the waitress did the table next to ours). and never refilled the bread baskets The waitress, as wonderful as she was, could not keep up with the room we were in. It was obvious the kitchen was not prepared to handle larger parties. The saving grace might be the food. Anyone who ate the scrod loved it. The ribeye was cool and not seasoned well. Overall a bad night for the place. We avoided a longer wait by not ordering dessert. I would have expected at the very least to have the owner come out and apologize for the poor food service but she did not appear.
We have been going to Mandana Inn for years. We have always loved the service and the food. Tonight we waited over 2 hours to get our dinner😕! And for the first time in over 30 years it was NOT hot and it was way too spicy! Is there a new chef? So so dissatisfied
Food was good when we got it,we were one of the first tables there, our wife's ordered escargot and clams. They received there food in good time frame. My brother and I ordered a smash burger and chicken. Waited1 hr 20 minutes., that's after I went to bar and wondered where our food was. Received food 5 minutes later from different person, never received a wine ordered 30 minutes ago. Watched multiple tables served before us. Very disappointed, so that I only left 10% tip, which I never do. Then found out that they changed my bill to a 20% tip, that I didn't sign for. Should be illegal, let's pay for bad service,I will never go there again. That was the second bad experience in a row.

A great location for a restaurant too bad there isn't one there
An hour and a half for appetizers? Every one else had finished theirs before I got mine. Total meal time three hours. Worst experience I’ve had in years
We waited two hours for food, the food was bland and OVERPRICED. Steak was still moo’ing and when they sent it back they threw my quarter eaten steak on the grill. 0 emotion. Terrible. Don’t go.
Very disappointing service. Waitress was delightful but took us 80 minutes to get our food. The restaurant wasn't even busy.
Atmosphere was nice but unfortunately that was the best part of my experience there. Food took over two hours to arrive and then we were still missing an entree. The chicken riggies finally showed up about 12 minutes later when we were better than half way through our meals. My strip steak was undercooked and extremely grizzly. My mashed potatoes and veggies were so cold the butter wouldn’t even melt. Before leaving I asked a server to speak the the owner/manager and shortly thereafter a young lady approached me and asked how she could help me. She never claimed to be either but I voiced how dissatisfied I was with our dining experience there. She listened to me and said she would tell the manager about my complaints. At no time did anyone try to correct or make the situation any better which completely dumbfounded me. My first and last time at the Mandana Inn so I hope you spend the $300 I dropped there wisely because it will never happen again. Oh the water guy didn’t let you get thirsty so that’s a plus.
Had a 7 pm reservation.Food arrived at 9:45. Over 2 1/2 hours! Will never come here again! The owner showed up and threatened to call the police if we didn't't pay for our meals. WTH!! Never again!!! And our bill was over $1,000. Crazy!! Don't give these people the time of day. Not like it used to be.😠 Owners response is totally wrong! We were a party of 15, including a very young child. Evidently another party had the same issues we did. And other reviews indicate they have issues there.
Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. Drinks came out in a reasonable time, then…nothing. An hour and a half later… a decent meal but at that point who is even hungry anymore. Sweet waittress says: we are down a cook and a whole bunch of to go orders came in. What? Thought maybe I might get something to eat if I went out to the parking lot and called an order in. Tried again tonight…. Big crew, owner there to greet us- thought ok another try. Well, no. 2 hours still no food. To be fair they did offer to give me my entree to go at 10 pm but really who wants scallops tomorrow? Went home hungry and cranky. Big bummer. They just can’t do it. Just…no. Stay home and have popcorn. Never again. They just don’t know how to run a restaurant. Sad. Miss the old Mandana. Not many options around here, so the wasted opportunity is maddening.
Good food if you like waiting an hour and half for apetizers and 2.5 hours for your entree. The manager Emily has zero people skills and has no business dealing with customers. When inquiring about the length of time it took for the food to arrive, the manager suggested we go to McDonalds if we want fast food. Bottomline, service was poor and management, specifically Emily, a disgrace to the food business and the owner of the resturant should be aware of the disgraceful manner in which she treats customers who just spent nearly $500 on dinner.
Owner is very rude. Was served a cold steak twice in the few times I’ve been here. My family has always been kind, and “friends” with this family, absolutely unacceptable. I was nice to the waitress and understanding, but there was no apologies, and barely checked up on us, we had to get up to get someone to assist us. No tip for you, don’t blame us for your negligence. We have recommended this place to many people over the years. Enjoy ruining your business!
We’ve loved this restaurant in the past. However, we had a very unpleasant experience recently. We made a reservation, and when we arrived we found there was a big wedding party happening at the same time. No big deal, I expected slightly slow service. However, it was more than slow- it took 30 minutes to get drinks and over an hour for my small kids to get their simple entrees. Tables seated after us were served well before us (to be clear, we didn’t hem and haw over the menu; we ordered right away when our server finally came by). One of our kids didn’t get his meal and had to wait another 30 minutes for pasta and a meatball. We asked to speak to the manager who told us they were very busy, what did we want them to to about it. They then dropped a full check. My husband expressed that this was really wrong (he’s worked in restaurants for 20 years) and the owner responded that she was adding 20% gratuity, and if we had a problem with that our business wasn’t welcome. We were flabbergasted at being treated so rudely and obviously will not be returning.
We’ll get to the underwhelming food, but to start, drinks took 30 minutes to come, appetizers took another 45 and by the time the entrees came, our babysitters were already at overtime… When we raised this with the owner Emily, she came out of the kitchen screaming at me as if we made unreasonable demands on the staff by inquiring about whether our food was ever coming. When I approached the bar, I heard Emily screaming at her staff so I knew not to take her aggression personally. Based on other reviews, this is clearly a theme. Her bizarre attempt at making it right was by comping 1 of our 3 bottles of wine on our $500 bill. The food was not awful but left a lot to be desired. They didn’t have green beans so gave asparagus instead (even though I said I didn’t want asparagus). They served a warm salmon with a cold cous-could salad that might as well have been from Top’s supermarket deli. Really underwhelming. The bread and butter were memorably good, though! Our server was so sweet that I feel badly that he’s having to work for such a dysfunctional restaurant. I hope the restaurant survives for the sake of the community and kind staff members. Emily clearly needs some help with how to operate a kitchen on a busy night. She could also benefit from some training on how to be more hospitable if she wants to run a restaurant. Until then, unfortunately this seems to be the norm and we will be eating elsewhere. Read the other reviews.
The food is good but not worth the wait. It’s been an hour and a half without our entrees and our waiter seems to have disappeared? I finished my wine a long time ago and he hasn’t bothered to check in with us in about 45 minutes. When we questioned the length of time he said “well I fired your tickets 40 minutes ago.” Like that’s any better? Find somewhere else. It’s good but not worth the wait.
I ate here tonight. I thought the meal was fine. I actually really enjoyed the thai calamari. The issue is after the meal, when the owner thought it a good idea to call my wife while on our way home to complain that we didn't tip enough under the guise of concern that we weren't satisfied with our meal. I tipped 10%, most of the bill was a wine bottle and a couple other drinks. I usually tip 20% on the non-tax bill, but that's not a given and it is usually 90% food. We ordered everything up front, no special orders or allergies or replacements or anything, made our server's job easy, and left without a hiccup. To repeat: I tipped 10% So I drove back, gave my server Krissy another $20 bill in person, and said a few words to the owner because it's pretty pathetic to call a customer like this. She walked me out rattling off different excuses for her trashy behavior "the menu said 20% tip!" (just... include it in the bill in that case?) "the wine bottle was actually underpriced on the menu and should have been more expensive!", and when I brought up never having been harassed for more money at other local restaurants like the Sherwood, she bragged "the Sherwood doesn't have this food". Classy broad. The best was when, as I was getting in my car to leave, she said to my wife from the protection of her porch, "your husband needs a pill!" So that's why I'm giving this place 1 star. It's not even on the water.
