Great food and service, worth the drive for some good Mexican dishes. Spinach enchiladas are good, haven't had anything that was bad here.
Good food, great service & not too expensive either. Will definitely come back !
I love going there. The food and mixed drinks are always on point. And the service Is A+
LOVE this place! They remember what you get even if it's been months! Best spot for Tex-Mex in Lubbock county.
The food was good and the lunch price was reasonable. I had the Carne Guisada plate 🍽
Absolutely delicious food with great service. This is our new go to Mexican restaurant.
DELICIOUS, great Mexican food, if your in the mood for it, go here. Good prices and portions too
Great food, good prices, good customer service...
Amazing, authentic food and wonderful service. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had!!
Best Mexican food around. Service is top notch the majority of the time and their always friendly.
They were kind and well mannered and very helpful and quick with the food which was very delicious
The food is good. The staff is great. The atmosphere is happy.
Always great food and great service! Love this place!
Great food. Good hole in the wall. Eat here often on our way home from Lubbock.
Really good food. Great staff.
Great food and service. We live 30 min away, and frequently eat here.
Allways a good place to eat tex-mex atmosphere is great my favorite is smothered burrito with carne guisada inside and queso on the out side.
I live in San Antonio and Casa Del Miguel's food is just as good if not better than some of our best Mexican food restaurants!
The food was delicious and the staff is polite, courteous.
Good little hole in the wall tex-mex! We had a large party and everyone's food was great! Loved it!
We absolutely love rhus restaurant. The food is always fresh. The wait staff is always very attentive. Will be returning often. Worth the drive from Lubbock
I absolutely love this place!! Food is excellent, good portions, waiters are very attentive....good atmosphere and prices are just right!!!
Food was great. Service was very friendly just really slow.
The food here is awesome. The people are great! If you're coming through slaton you've gotta stop and check them out. The smothered burrito with AL pastor is the best!!!
While visiting Slaton we needed some Mexican food. This was the place. Food was delicious and the staff was friendly
Just passing through I found this place on the map, great food our waiter was awesome definitely recommend for some good classic Texas enchiladas rice and beans!
We have been customers for many years and we have always been happy with our meals. The service is like dining with friends. So happy that we have a good restaurant to go to in Slaton.
Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Friendly staff. My family and I try to make it there at least once every two weeks.
It is worth the drive to Slaton to support this family owned and operated restaurant. I love the queso and the enchiladas are excellent. . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating here.
First time I've been back since October of 2010 and it's still great service and food!!
Me and Dustin had our first lunch together at a restraunt today. It was an amazing day and the food and atmosphere was also just pleasant.
Burritos were awesome!
I highly recommend this restaurant everything was great.
We love this restaurant, just a short drive from Lubbock. Everything we eat their is so good, and the owners so personable.
This is a real nice place to eat. Great family place. Real good food at a reasonable price.
Tasted like gmas cooking i loved it, server was an amazing lady will go back just because the atmosphere
Cozy environment, great selection, ice cold beer, tasty food, light and crispy chips, creamy queso, excellent salsa and great friendly service. 😋 🙂
Good good food I was very pleased here great service and great food will I definitely recommend it a freind and I am not a local! I AM Glad I stop here to eat 😁
Food was amazing!!! Employees were so welcoming, friendly and took excellent care of the entire family!!!!
Today was the first tike that I had visited this place, the food was great, & the service matched the greatness of the food, I will be sure to tell my friends & family about this place
I'm a big fan of Mexican and tex-mex food. My family took me here while visiting. They know a few like- minded places but this is their favourite, and now i know why. Once you walk in you are greeted with a warm family smile and quickly taken to your seat where you are asked for your beverage order. Service was prompt, accurate and friendly. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a quaint family run business. Nothing too over the top but enough to know where you are eating. Plenty of seating. I enjoyed the doce-do which is a combination of enchiladas, tacos rice and beans. Everything was authentic and the serving sizes were perfect. I dutifully cleaned up the plate and was absolutely full. Thank you for that amazing experience and family cooked cuisine!! A definite must visit even if you have to go out of the way for it!!
Miguel is awesome. He runs the place very well. He sees to it that the food is fresh, hot and correct every time be careful of the hot sauce. Sometimes the cook is bad and it gets hot… But that’s how I like it so that’s why I keep going… there are a few other options in our city, and I have tried them all when I want, no one demand good service good food at a good price casa de Miguel is the only option for me
We had a table of 11 didn't call ahead these guys set us up took great care of us. The food was absolutely wonderful. No complaints from us.
Absolutely Delicious 😋 😍 😊. Service amazing. Chips and Salsas and Queso to start. 10stars. Food portion was 10stars. Meal 10stars. I recommend for any Family and Friends gathering.
This was my first time eating there even after living here for 2 years. I the stuffed gorditas and a chile relleno both were so amazing! Shaz was freaking amazing he had multiple orders in his head and waiting on a lot of customers that's when you he knows what he is doing. I will most definitely go back....with family and friends of course.
1/5/18 11:50pm-12:30pm It was delicious. Salasa is a little hot, it was hood for me, not good for my guest. Service and Waiter was excellent. Food was cooked great. Silverware was clean. For 2 people with 1 custom order, both orders extra sour cream it was 29.89 before tip. I will go here again.
Enchiladas tasted & smelled like my mom used to make. Portion size just right. Iced tea perfect. Yes I would go there again.
Food was great. Service was excellent. Place is small and next table had a party celebration. I gave it 5 stars because other than the noise, it was worth going to.
Great food at a good price. They get busy at dinner time so it can get a little slow but they are very friendly.
This place has become my new favorite. The food the service the atmosphere just everything.
Very good food and clean place. Dont let the outside of the building fool u. Both times I ate there excellent. And I'm pretty picky
My first impulse is to leave a terrible review because I would like to keep this place to myself. The food quality, price and flavor is better than anything your going to find in lubbock. The staff is prompt and polite. This is a smaller mom and pop style restaurant but the care they put into the food shows. We have eaten here dozens of times and it has become my go to Mexican food source.
We were passing thru and this place had quick service, reasonable prices and great food. We were in and out quickly and back on the road. This is a must stop for goof food!
My husband and I stopped and ate here on our way home from Lubbock and were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff! Prices are great, food is delicious and the salsa was the best I’ve had in a long time! We both got beef fajitas and the sizzle plates came out smoking like they had just been taken off the heat. Everything was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely be making this a regular stop. We love supporting a small business instead of a chain and this is a locally owned restaurant. They are doing a fantastic job!
The waitress seemed new, and my food had obviously been sitting ready, under the heat lamp for a while before she brought it to us, but she'll get better as she goes and the food was still "tell everyone you know" amazing!
We love eating here. Delicious food with comparable prices, and great service. Love their picadillo. Servers are friendly, polite and keep drinks refilled. We have no mexican restaurants in our town, so for us, it is worth the drive to eat here.
Our first time visiting Slaton, we stopped here for dinner back in 2010. Right after dinner, we got engaged. We were so thrilled to revisit that spot this year. So glad to see this restaurant is still thriving. The perfect little place to fill your belly. Service was top notch, and we can't wait for our next West Texas adventure back to this cozy little establishment.
First time here. Got greeted and seated right away with a drink and some chips and a menu. They were good, down to earth. When I ordered. It didn't even take 15 minutes for it to be out. I must say it was delicious. I got the Carnita plate. Which was fantastic. The Jalapenos where grilled to perfection. That I sat and devoured them. The bid me farewell. And thank me for me coming in. As 8 thanked them for their beautiful service. Hope to come back.
Casa is definitely one of my favorite places only thing is they will serve something I love and then it will just be gone . I like consistency like a green sauce I fell in love and go back and just out of nowhere they don't have it anymore. But great people and great food
Food was great! The service was extraordinar. They went out of their way to accomodate our whole extended family after our Mom's viewing and Rosary. Being together and celebrating her life was just what the family needed.
Amazing the service is awesome and the food is spontaneous
It's Tex-Mex expect that. Some of what we had: combo fajitas, hamburger, enchilada, nachos and queso.
We just had time for appetizers and a few beers, but it was all around a great experience.
Great food wonderful service good atmosphere
Nothing overly special about it but the food was good and the service was nice. I'm sure I'll return. It's a very popular place at lunch. Packed.
Always good. Service is good and prices are great! We're lucky to have this restaurant in town. It's one of Slaton's best places to eat and have a drink!
Good food and good service. Just make sure u bring extra money. 2 adult plates and 1 kids plate, ice tea, water $49.00.
This was my first time here, service was wonderful, the food was amazing, and it was very clean they implemented covid protocols. Definitely will be going back.
I enjoy eating here! Staff are very kind. Table service was very helpful. I would give it a 5 star but it is small and you few very jammed.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Food was very good. Open at 1130 and worth the wait. Food was fresh and hot. Carney Quisada is amazing. Fajita shrimp was very good and guacamole enchiladas were very good.
the beef enchiladas were. Good with fresh made rice an beans . reasonably priced.. I will return to try other selections on menu.
This place was just the kind of place i love to eat, and the food was really good. The atmosphere was very nice, service was to my perfection. Not too busy, real good.
I felt it was a bit pricey, $42. We had the beef enchilada plate, taco plate, 2 drinks, and chips which was not included. The enchiladas were bigger than expected and little spicy with a generous portion of rice and refried beans. After a 30 minute drive, only one of the three tacos was soggy which was still okay for the drive. The chips were crispy, seasoned well, and not greasy. The hot sauce was mild which was perfect for us. We went in around 3 and the restaurant was darker then expected. They don't have change, so take quarters if your kiddos want to play the claw machine.
It was crowded...caters to locals...food was good...only one waitress for entire restaurant so service was slow...never asked if we needed drinks refilled....
Its ok just lines take forever in drive thru and always dont have items
The young lady at take out was very professional and courteous. The price for the food is reasonable. The food could have been warmed up a little longer....actually a lot longer.
Food was good, but service was terrible. I think we saw our waitress 3 times the entire time we were in there. And that's after we waited 30 mins for our drinks and had to ask for them twice after ordering them.
5 stars for the food. Authentic and delicious. ZERO stars for the service! The girl working tonight, 6/26/18, took FOREVER to bring everything! We were there for 2 HOURS, 20 MINUTES just to take our drink orders, another 35 minutes before we got our food, and we never got our to-go box. She made things a lot worse by being extremely attentive to the table next to us. 😡😡😡
The food is good, but the restaurant itself was a little dirty and they wouldn't allow our family of 8 to sit together to celebrate my brothers birthday. It was the first birthday that our dad has spent with my brother in over 30 years.
Food was delicious, service was great, but I doubt we go back. We ignored when they charged for pickled jalapeños, extra basket of chips, and percentage with credit card. Today we ordered kids water. Asked for cups with lids to prevent spilling. We were charged $2 per child. Hope that $4 was worth the $80-$125 we spend every time we ate with you…
The food was good and it was ready fairly fast for our group. Have to give the atmosphere a low score. It was a cool spring day and the air conditioning was awful and the table was sticky. Several of us were dripping in sweat. The wait staff wasn't overly friendly.
Very nice for a small town Mexican food place. Unfortunately, the same price as anything in Lubbock without the bar service, tap beer, etc. The fried taquitos, for example, are not edible, burned to crisp. This is from about 5 different attempts.
$60 for two people to eat! We ordered two plates, queso ($7), and my husband had two beers ($20). The food was good but everything is very much over priced.
Just bought food from here to go and they messed up my burritos def not going here again arandas is better at taking orders 45$ and you mess up nah I'm good
I live Here and I am ashamed of this place! I have never left a review for anything so let this be a warning. Please don’t be ripped off and please please don’t expose small children to this place.
What authentic Mexican restaurant doesn't have or know what green chili is? Not so friendly hostess, and big price and very small portions. Food looked like is was thrown onto my plate. That's one place I will not go back to when I visit slaton again!
Although the menu said your choice of sauce sauce on their menu, they charged an additional $1.50 for sauce on 1 plate And .75 on the other. When I asked why, they took one of the $.75 off.
They tipped themselves 10 from my card without a signature from me or my permission! Ate here about a week ago! We were not greeted and stood for about 30 minutes, still weren’t greeted . They were very rude and took very long. The only nice person was a shorter gentlemen with a very nice personality. Everybody else was rude, there was a tall male busser I believe with glasses - rude a taller skinny girl I think had glasses rude and she wasn’t even our server , our server was not the best but I give her credit bc she tried, shorter girl with blond in her hair. Silverware were very dirty upon being rolled up and somehow they tipped themselves 10 with my card. I just noticed this and they will not answer my calls. My ticket was 51 dollars , and somehow a week later it’s now “61” this is I very unprofessional and this place will be reported if not fixed. Food was not fresh. It’s a disappointment bc this place use to be so good and I had been wanting it just to be let down .
To start everyone is very rude.. includimg the owners. The food is not great it's all very cheap not not authentic Mexican food or quality. Only bought one dinner plate and 2 burritos with cheese and had no cheese but paid for it, with chips and queso and came out to $40. Very much expensive for the quantity. No itemized receipt, will not be back to that nasty rat trailer "restaurant".
Overpriced enchiladas especially when the sauce comes out of a can same for the beans. Cheese wasn't good either. Can cheese doesn't go inside enchiladas .Beef enchiladas weren't any better .Chips and rice were the only good things about this place. 70$ for 3 adults 1 child .
Terrible food and service. Enchilada sauce was like tasteless gravy. Floutas were edible. Waitress couldnt remember who had what at EVERY table, not just ours. Will never patronize this establishment again.
Sat for 10 minutes, two employees in viewing distance and never had our drink order taken.
I am only giving this place a one star review because it won't let me go any lower. My son and i went for dinner. They started charging $1.00 for refills on chips and salsa. We ordered the smothered burrito plate ($10.99), the dos y dos plate ($12.99), six tostada chips with queso ($2.99 per chip and $2.99 per small scoop of queso $35.88 total), the queso appetizer ($7.49), and one refill of chips and salsa ($1.00). My bill total was ($76.58) for 2 people to eat. The service was bad. We never got a refill on our drinks. I used to love going here but I will NEVER go back to this place!!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to love coming here. First walked in and it was hotter inside there than outside. Very uncomfortable. The table was dirty as we were being seated and the lady rolled her eyes then grabbed a rag and wiped down- she just walked off said nothing so I was still standing there waiting because cheese and lettuce was still on the table and booth. So I wiped it off myself. She looked at me crazy when I ordered a mixed drink and I had to show her the picture of what I wanted . Thank God another waitress took over from there she was very attentive and polite. Yet they now charge for more chips and salsa and the menu is extremely smaller. The plate was too. Hate to see it not what it used to be.
