I have enjoyed Golden Chick, EVERY TIME WE HAVE EVER BEEN THERE. THE FOOD IS PLENTIFUL, FRESH AND COOKED PERFECTLY. JUST AS IMPORTANT - the place is very clean and the employees are very friendly. We have been there right after church, possibly on of their busiest times. Since we came with a large group one day, we were concerned with seating. You see from the outside, you don't get the impression that this is a huge place...but somehow the way the inside seating is set up, we have never been unable to find enough seats for ourselves, without feeling as if you are sitting in some stranger's lap. LOL If you enjoy chicken cooked several different ways or just good catfish - I HEARTILY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Grabbed 2 meals and I left without my fries & jalapeño poppers.. when I went back through the drive thru.. I had to wait about 5 more mins for them to hand them to us.. the fries were good but weren’t hot like they just came out.. my chicken sandwich bun was really hard so I ate the patty alone. Overall it was 3/5.

The food is as expected. The parking lot is awkward to park, comfortably. And sometimes the food is not as fresh, but rather warm, under heat lamps.

We're new to the West Texas area. Went to the drive thru, ordered a family meal. Baked chicken, coleslaw, fried okra & rolls. Very tasty. The crew was friendly.

Overall, the restaurant is good, only the roasted chicken is too salty to me.

The poppers!!! We love poppers and the first time they were really good. Everyone is very friendly...I went and purchased their golden fried shrimp.. it was not cooked all the way. I have to say this is definitely the one and only bad experience I can comment on! Would still go back.

Went thru drive thru. The outside looked nice. Food..ordered 4 piece roasted chicken w/mashed potatoes. They didn't have any white meat ready..so I took the dark 2 thighs 2 legs. Chicken wasn't the freshest but ok..mashed potatoes w/gravy not good dinner roll was good. I think I came at the wrong time of day! It was all cold by the time I got to my room not even slightly warm..good thing motel rooms have microwaves.

I would think at dinner time they would be prepared with hot, fresh food. Drive thru was slow. Ordered online. Drove straight there. Both meals are cold. Fries are limp. Shrimp is so rubbery it is hard to chew. Okra undercooked. Fish looks like breaded mush and one piece looks like runny glue WTH? I spent $28 for this? It went into the trash.

After waiting for 20 min and seeing 10 cars go through the drive through, I asked about my order and they said they would get working on it, after 35 min total, and me waiting at the counter, they brought me my order but didn't give me the BBQ, jal-ranch, or tarter sauce I had ordered. I asked if I could have it, and everyone ignored me, so I walked out with my food. Terrible experience.

Absolute clowns. Couldn’t get an order right if their lives depended on it. I asked for things multiple times while in the drive through, and they still got it wrong. When I went inside to have it corrected, they gave me attitude and tried to charge me for the stuff they forgot. Truly astounding just how screwed up they got it. Shining examples of the reason minimum wage exists. Just go somewhere else, trust me.

Ordered the 2 piece Golden Roast which, according to the menu board, is a breast and a wing. When the order was brought out I was given 3 very dry Golden Roast legs. I pointed out this was wrong and the employee apologized and took the order back. Moments later he returns with the same 3 dry legs and says it's either this or wait 20 minutes. If I had known there was no chicken to fill my order I would have ordered something else. I think it was very poor customer service.
