Food is delicious and staff is friendly. They get your food out pretty quickly as well. The frozen Margs are awesome and big!

A diamond in the rough. If you are heading down 20 and get the chance to eat here don't hesitate. The food is great, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is homey.

Was recommended to us by locals. Was first place we've found in the area where we could enjoy a beer with some great Mexican food. And although we think wait staff needs more training, was slow & unprofessional. And overall think a clean place, but cob webs and over looked need for general house keeping, really caught my attention in area where guest pay out. We still recommend this place. Hopefully, owners will address these issues quickly. Would be a shame to let them continue to hurt your business, with food this wonderfully prepared. Think all will agree, the food is GREAT!

A wonderful local place to eat Tex-Mex. Our service was great and so was the food. I wanted a custom plate and was accommodated with no issues. This is a family eatery that is popular with the locals, and for good reason. If your travels take you through Colorado City, stop here. You too will be well pleased.

Took my wife and a couple of friends, had a good time food was great. The waitress (Lisa) was excellent. Thanks for a nice enjoyable lunch, it's hard to find these days.

Unlike salsas at virtually every other Mexican restaurant, the salsa here is very spicy, with freshly-chopped jalapeños on every bite. I’ll have to post another review next time, because I was so hungry I dove into my meal before snapping a photo of the entire plate. One warning: You will need to check their hours of operation and plan around it. Don’t assume they’ll be open every night.

We along with all the other law enforcement in the county were eating here. Highly recommend. The homemade salsa is awesome.

I experimented with the twin Chuck special, it came with these deep fried stuffed potato and meat thingies that are delicious 😋 to Green beef enchiladas with a fried egg on 🙌❤️ Also the tea was on spot

I love the service and it’s so popular coming here. My favorite plate is the Joe which is 2 patitos and 2 green beef enchiladas. It’s delicious and I can’t find these patitos anywhere like this. You need to check this place out!

I love the place ,best in decor in this town but when I came in ,it was 15 minutes to 2 pm (closing time) I should had been warned That the restaurant was going to close and not served the food 😔 But so I took the food outside and I actually had fun eating outdoors......I still coming back. But customers should be advice of this afternoon closing.....not everyone is a town resident. I still love you,MI Ranchito.🐺.

Always love dining here, worth the drive from Dallas. The owner and cook Cristella is awesome . Can't wait to go there again.

A little out of the way but such great food and the service is great. However like any other business it is hard to staff up now. Parking isn't the best. But still worth every bite.

We had a work outing of 7 people, and everyone loved their food. The chips and salsa is some of the best I've had, and the server said they're a little short-handed right now, but you couldn't tell from the service. Overall, the experience was great, and I look forward to my next visit. This will become one of me and my wife's regular haunts, no doubt.

I come into Colorado City every few weeks from Fort Worth to do a little hunting. My buddies brought me here the first time in town. You're always looking for a great Mexican restaurant when you hit a new town. Love this place. Great menu, value and wonderful food. Service and staff are outstanding. Stop in. Surpringly nice spot though Margaritas are wine-based. Out of several Mexican restaurants within a 25 mile radius in the area, probably one of the best. Just the atmosphere is worth a visit.

Amazing food! I ordered a chicken enchilada but I was brought steak instead. I didn't notice it until I took a bite. It was so good, I decided steak was a better choice anyway and I didn't even tell the restaurant about it. If a person didn't eat read meat or something that could be a problem. Certainly getting an order correct is important so I reduced it by one star.

Husband liked the guisado...lots of heat in that dish. I had the green beef enchiladas...really enjoyed that one too. They have wine margaritas that are sweeter than regular margaritas, but they were still really good. The wait staff was really helpful and welcoming. We were visiting for the night only, but we will remember this place.

Last time we ate there we waited over 30 minutes and nobody waited on us so we gave up and left. Owner was not there. It was crazy. Dirty tables. Worst Ive ever seen it. We sat down at a table ti be cleared. Guy cleaning tables just walked around us. Terrible but owner wasnt there to see the mess. Thank goodness. It will be a long time before we go back!

As a Latino, I was a bit disappointed. The food was very stereotypical, and It just didn't remind me of a Mexican Restaurant. We also waited about 1 1/2 hours just to get our meal. Also, if you order a taco plate (Example the Dennis) get a soft shell. The crunchy taco shell is very sensitive and all of my meat and condiments fell onto the plate. Won't be back, but glad that my dinner was delicious! UPDATE: I AM NOW CHANGING MY REVIEW. UNFORTUNATELY, THE FOOD DID HAVE A VIRUS OF SOME SORT, AND I CCONTRACTED A COLD THAT LASTED FOR ALMOST THREE WEEKS. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!

Food is really good, especially the tacos, but the prices are complete robbery. If you order a soda, they bring you a cup of ice and a 12 oz can that they charge $2.00 for. Want a refill? Sure, they bring you another $2.00 can! It's ridiculous. You can buy an entire 12 pack for $4.00. Do not expect to leave this place without spending at least $45 for two people, and that's if you drink water!

The place looks nice very homey feeling the waitress was very nice but never checked on us it took them 15min before we ever even got a drink there queso dip is the worst I have ever had it tasted like gravy with mushrooms the salsa was spicey but other than that no flavor and to top it all off they forgot to make our food I will never go back again

My husband and I went last night and arrived at 8:15. We waited at the door for quite some time without being seated and there were quite a few open tables but they were all dirty. When the lady at the desk finally noticed us she proceeded to ask who our server was, that of course is when I told her we had not even been seated yet. She was apologetic and immediately had a table cleaned and seated us. A young waitress brought us our chips and menus and didn’t say a word to us. We then proceeded to wait until 8:56 when another waitress walked by and I finally asked if someone good get us drinks and take our order. She said yes of course and went behind the counter and asked the staff “whose table is this?” I didn’t hear anything after that but she came back and took our order. As mad as I was, I will say the ONLY thing that saved it for us was our waitress. She was wonderful and you can tell very hardworking. I didn’t catch her name but she deserves a raise. Her hair was in a pony tail with red in it. Our food did not come to the table until 10:00p.m. and we were out of the restaurant at 10:22p.m. They had a large party group outside on the patio area but if you can not accommodate for the restaurant part and a large party maybe it should be reserved separate or have extra staff for those special occasions. Mind you the restaurant closes at 9 but we got there in plenty of time had someone actually acknowledged us in the first place and took our order immediately after we received our menus. And usually the hostess or person who seats you will ask for your drink order but no instead we sat there thirsty with 2 small boys. The food I would probably give 3 stars. You can tell it was rushed on account of my enchiladas being dry chicken wrapped in a corn tortilla with queso poured on top. Not even close to good authentic Mexican food. We just moved to the area and were looking for a good restaurant for those nights momma doesn’t wanna cook but its sad to say I will not be giving this restaurant another chance. 😞
