Great dinner experience! Made me miss Spain since I lived there for 2 years. It’s easy to over order Very very crowded though. We didn’t get seated til 30 mins after our reservation time which means they weren’t managing the table timings well. A lot of people standing by the bar waiting.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tapas experience here. Excellent all around. Our waitress was passionate about the selections and guided us in choosing. The restaurant gets full and tables are quiet close. Love thy neighbor.

We are new to Stamford and absolutely Loved Barcelona. Manager, Christopher was warm and welcoming as was our server Karen. We were hungry and ordered many items and each was better than the next. Recommend mushroom croquettes, empanadas, squash blossoms, meatballs, and my surprise stars, roasted cauliflower with Labneh and patatas bravas Will dine here again without a doubt. Stellar

First time eating in Stanford Connecticut and I stumbled upon this restaurant. Walked by and place was very lively with decent music playing. Glad I stopped by their service was exceptional and food was great too. I would definitely be back the atmosphere and service definitely making me a return customer

I had the most amazing dining experience here. I have a few food allergies and when I told the waiter, Alex, he took a menu and a pen and marked off everything I could and couldn’t have. I’ve never had such an incredible experience eating out with my food allergies. Thank you so much Alex!!! Also, the food is incredible. I gave 3 stars for Atmosphere because it’s very loud in there and our reservation was at 7:45 but we weren’t seated until 8:25. Highly recommend!!

**Outstanding Restaurant in Stamford** Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the restaurant's atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The waiter who attended to me was very kind and provided several recommendations without hesitation. Placing my order was seamless. I started with a tapas dish, which was simply spectacular. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the inclusion of a cooked egg added a delightful richness that elevated the dish. Overall, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for an outstanding dining experience.

We had an amazing time in Barcelona restaurant. Reservation is definitely recommended ahead of time. Restaurant is cozy and not too noisy, so easy to talk. Portion sizes are okay, and with bread it can be fulfilling. We took couple of tapas, main course, which is shareable and desert and was sufficient. Chicken Pimentos and chocolate cake is worth having. Our server Alex was very helpful and service was quick. Parking can be bit tricky, but there is garage nearby. It's definitely recommended and worth re-visiting

I'm not even done with my meal yet and I'm reviewing this restaurant, it is just phenomenal. The menu is based off the tapas style which I adore. My husband, a friend and I came here on a whim. Even though the establishment was incredibly busy, we were seated immediately. The bacon dates will blow your mind, the empanadas are just divine, there is an amazing selection of cheeses, all the drinks we had were just perfect. Be prepared for it to be a little loud (the music makes it hard to hold a conversation) but the food comes out quickly and the General Manager introduced himself and asked how we are doing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or dinner on the last night of our vacation.

A very popular Spanish restaurant with great tapas and wine. Definitely recommend their seafood platter and the grilled beef. Large range of choices for wines. Not very pricey for the taste and portion~ great for groups

Barcelona Wine Bar in Stamford, CT, is a fantastic place to dine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a great meal. Our first visit was made even more memorable by the exceptional service from the night manager. Despite a delay with our drink orders, the manager went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful experience by removing the drinks from our bill. This thoughtful gesture showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Visited today for a friend's birthday and we had a great time. The decor is nice, the ambiance is fantastic and though there is music playing it isn't too loud. The tapas were very tasty and came out pretty quickly. The skirt steak with truffle oil was fantastic, a must order. The staff was fun and friendly and overall it made me want to come back. For those concerned about parking you should park at the Target parking lot next door. If you like great Spanish food and a good time you should give Barcelona a try!

Very good Tapas spot in Stamford. Tortilla (Spanish style) and grilled shrimp and garlic were fantastic. Lomo (lamb) dish was good as well. Local beers were fine - but ask for recommendations on the Spanish wines. Great lively vibe - very friendly and helpful staff! Will be back!

Went for a family lunch and it was great! the waiter was really helpful for recommendations for pescatarian and gluten-free options. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Absolutely recommend this place for great food and drinks.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Stamford. I enjoy many of the tapas and the paella. My favorite dishes are the Pulpo, Pork Belly, Spinach & Chickpea Cazuela, Albondigas, and Paella Verduras. I love the vibe of the restaurant, and the service is always great. It’s a perfect restaurant to sit outside in the summer or very cozy during the winter. Definitely recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants overall! Right in the heart of Stamford. My most recent visit there was beyond AMAZING! Music and vibes in the restaurants were A1! They had a different music selection and while I'm eating and drinking wonderful wine I'm hopping lol.. never before but wasn't complaining. One of our go tos would be the charcuterie plate; tons of meats and cheeses to choose from. They have lots of "tapas" (small of plates) of deliciousness. I just had the mushroom croquetas with a truffle aioli (photo below) perfect crunch on the outside and mushroom blend in the inside! So so yummy. Please make a stop there! I promise you won't regret it.

Such a great dinner here. They have so many options to choose from. The staff is very knowledgeable and great with recommendations. For drinks, we got the dos peninsulas (10/10), summer street swing (5/10, tasted like vodka lemonade), and a bottle of the Aylin (7/10 affordable but also a little cheap, nutty hints). For food we got the Gambas (AMAZING 11/10), beef empanadas (10/10 could have had 20), patatas bravas (10/10), mushroom croquetas (8/10 good but weird texture and very heavy), short ribs (7/10, good but for the price not great), hummus (5/10), San símon cheese (4/10) and salcgichón de Vic (5/10 tasted just like TJs). Overall definitely excited to come back and try more of the menu!

The food here is amazing. I have visited multiple times and tried several different tapas. Never disappointed. Service is good. It gets a bit loud with the tables placed quite close to each other, so not the most conducive for a conversation. But a fun atmosphere.

Really great dinner here with friends. Tapas oriented meal with octopus and shrimp being our favorite. Service was fast and server helpful in picking wine for the group to share.

We had a 915 reservation… For a party of six… We did not get seated until 945… We were ready to leave out of frustration but we stayed… and I’m sure glad we did… The service staff was excellent, our waitress was very attentive, kind and patient… The food was incredible… The selection with everything also being reasonably priced and fresh… drinks were reasonable… the food was incredible though I would recommend this place to anyone.

Super vibey and great for a group. Kitchen closes at 12 so it accommodated the four of us perfectly for a late dinner. We got about 6-7 plates to share and they were all unique and delicious! i used to hate dates but the bacon wrapped dates here were sacrilegious yet heavenlyyyy. Also recommended the pulpi, albóndigas, and patatas

First time here and my girl and I had a great time. We had an unexpected wine, vermouth, and dessert wine tasting. So cool and my girl loved it. Shoutout to Amanda for the dope experience. We’ll be back.

Such an enjoyable experience whenever we're in this area. Friendly, informed staff and many great tapas. A standout this time was the endive and lobster. A request: please stock Lepanto brandy, from Jerez.

We’ve been coming to Barcelona Stamford for almost 15 years. Not once have my wife and I had anything short of wonderful drinks, tapas, and entrees. Plus the staff for all these years have been helpful and fun. We go weekly!

My best friend & I came to Barcelona for a girl’s night. The food was delicious! Our server, Amanda, was AMAZING. So personable, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and so, so kind. Ask for Amanda!!! She knows what’s up. The cava wine is delightful. This was not our first time and won’t be our last!

Update, Wife and I making our way back to NJ, stopped back in Sunday night, our 2nd visit and it couldn't have been better and we were hoping Amanda was working, success! - perfect wine recos, 1/2 off wine, light snacks. Amanda's our favorite! Good time. Ask for Amanda she's excellent start to finish. Solid restaurant. Drove in from Jersey and stopped by Barcelona last Tuesday, and it was a great visit. We got there shortly after they opened around 4, so it was pretty quiet, but the tapas were excellent and service was well executed. The highlight, though, was Amanda at the bar making juice. She wasn't our server, but she made the experience that much better, she was the experience. She was engaging and witty, we loved her. This is our new stopping point when we pass through.

The well seasoned veggie appetizers, well cooked sausages, chicken and crab, crunchy bread with olive oil, phenomenal desserts like the olive oil cake… I can go on, but my favorite part about visiting this location is the absolutely amazing service from Alex. Alex makes you feel like you’re visiting home and you’re well taken care of. The way Alex takes care of all of the tables and makes you feel like family is the cherry on top. Alex knows the variations of grapes for wine flavors so if you’re a wine drinker, this is the place for you. In addition, the cocktails are so well made you feel like you’re at a high end wine bar with the relaxed vibes. (Thank you Jocelyn for training Alex and thank you Alex for taking care of your customers and providing a consistently wonderful experience visit after visit!)

Been twice in the last couple weeks and had Alex both times, he was GREAT!! Came for lunch on a Friday and dinner on a Wednesday, it wasn’t too crowded/loud either time. Food is incredible, red sangria is incredible, atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. Only thing is its relatively small so I could see it becoming really loud if fully packed. 10/10 we love Barcelona!

The food here never misses — we came for the lobster, but it was sold out. The bartender’s picks (soup, gambas, octopus, and the chicken dish) were all amazing. The soup was WOW, weeks later, I’m still thinking about it (and the lobster). The chicken was worth the wait too. Normally, we sit at a table but this time we tried the bar - and we’re so glad we did. The bartender Amanda was very personable, gracious, and so easy to talk to. She made us feel like old friends even with a full bar, relaxed, welcoming and just good to be around. It's also worth noting that it was great to watch her and Steve (I think that’s his name, tall bartender with straight dark hair) work together. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working together - lots of laughs, good energy, and real camaraderie. Very simpatico. A vibe like that isn’t common but makes a huge difference. Their energy was contagious and so appreciated. In the world we live in now, that can feel so heavy, it’s so important to spread positivity and light and I hope this reaches them them. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thanks for the good time, great drinks and vibe, honestly just a fun spot all around.

The food here is great and not too expensive. Service was fast and attentive, my only complaint is place has 1 or 2 too many tables and is over packed. When trying to get up from the booth your butt is essentially in someone’s food…

July 23, 2024: I had visited the establishment a few times since the original review 2 years ago. The most recent visit was on Saturday, July 20. Everything was excellent. I think it deserves a 4 star rating. For most parts, it was enjoyable excepted for the steak was a bit tough. The biggest blunder was serving luke warm cappuccino and coffee with desserts.

It’s a very nice and pleasant place, the food wasn’t the best but good overall.

Most of the food is quite good (the Buneolos are supposed to have ham, but the amount of ham in it is virtually nil). The place is in dire need of a refresh. The seats have torn covers, the chairs' paint is worn, the entry door looks very worn and dirty, the windows are so dirty it looks like it's foggy outside. And the service is lacking. Plates are "deposited" on the table, not served. Not one of the plates, designed for sharing, comes with a spoon so everyone has to use their own fork - when I asked for spoons I got an eye roll from the waitress. Most servers don't smile - does not come across as a happy place. Noise is on the very high end. Overall, just fair.

Great vibe but came very short on service (Saturday night), our waiter was informative and kind but clearly short handed and too busy to check on us, bring us water or sell us more wine/cocktails. Definitely need to look into staffing during prime time. All the tables were looking for assistance, more bread, water, and drinks. Food was tasty, cooked well, paella especially tasty. I was expecting more, especially after being to the location in DC that was spot on. Disappointed to say the least.

I’ve been to the DC location more times than I can count so I was very excited to come to this one. Our server was so nice. The drinks came out a bit slow and they weren’t very good. The food was just okay, loved the pancakes and flan. I doubt I’ll be back though unless I’m craving those pancakes.

We ordered a large seafood paella to go. The staff was very nice. The dish was a majority of mussels 5 shrimp 4 clams with almost no calamari. Obviously mussels are the least expensive seafood. It’s really a shame you are going to charge 60 dollars for a dish but give 10 dollars in seafood and 5 dollars in rice. We have had this dish before at Barcelona and were quite satisfied but this was shameful to serve someone.

The food here is good, but management could be much better. I made my reservation two weeks prior, my party and I were made to wait for our table when we arrived as the restaurant was busy. We were told the next table that had enough seats for our party would be ours, but watched two tables come and go. Upon nicely asking the host when our table would be ready (after a 30 minute wait) we were told they didn't know. The host was rude, dismissive, and seemed annoyed we were even asking. Needless to say we left and went across the street to eat. I received a text saying our table was ready an hour after the time our reservation was for

Updated: Visited this Barcelona, Stamford location after many suggestions from my friends and co-workers. Been there twice already in ten days. First time was a great/pleasant experience(first two pictures 🍸), when it came to second time (third picture) was on this Monday evening, one of the wait staff at the end just took away the glass and food (half of calamari) which was still being worked on 😂. I did not understand the rush 🏃‍♂️ of clearing the space. Maybe give some time for customers to finish their meal/drink something to consider 💭 Hi Brandon, it’s been a week since I sent you an email and a text message to this number to addresses the concerns left in my review, but I assume that your response is just to show the potential customers that the management takes customer feedback seriously to ensure that the mistake or problem highlighted by the reviewer won’t happen again. Sadly, it’s just to show because I haven’t gotten any response from you. So I assume this is a business tactic to get customers think that management cares.
