I recently moved to Stamford, and my neighbor Ed invited me out to a happy hour at the farmhouse in North Stamford… It’s a bit of a drive, but it’s well worth the wait! It’s a beautiful decor with a fantastic easy-going vibe and a mountain like ski Decor… Very elevated and feels expensive, however, the prices are very affordable for a nice night out. Tim behind the bar is a wizard on the shakers, making fantastic cocktails, and pulling beers. April is also a ray of sunshine, and greets every customer with a smile. Two fantastic employees, at a very Underrated venue. This was a five star experience and this rating should be a five star restaurant.

Love this place! Pork chop was outstanding. Ricotta dessert also exceeded my expectations.

My husband and I met business clients/friends for dinner on a very rainy, damp evening. We walked directly to the bar and moved to the fireplace to warm up. There is plenty of seating available on the cozy couches. The attentive bar maid greeted us immediately and brought over our Manhattan cocktails, which were prepared perfectly. We sat for a while waiting for our friends to arrive, and after they arrived, chatted with them over drinks before we moved over to our table. The waiter was professional and knowledgeable. He answered our questions after reading (from memory) all the specisls. I wanted everything on the specials menu. There were many appetizer specials, too, and we agreed on the Bronzino cerviche and grilled octopus... both outstanding. For dinner, don't miss out on the delicious Bolognese sauce with gnocchi (it's a brown sauce, and it's pretty unique). Another great choice was the veal chop Parmigiana pounded flat and served with freshly prepared spaghetti. The desserts were also spectacular. We decided on the cheese cake, but there were many other great choices. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. All in all, we would definitely go back. The bar scene looks pretty happening, too. I'm thinking future girls' night out.

My wife and I had a great experience at the Farmhouse. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went when it wasn’t very busy so the waiter was very attentive to us. The food was great and the ambiance was very comfortable. Highly recommend the French toast. We loved every bite! We’ll definitely be back again

This place is under new management and it slike night and day. What a transformation. The decor is so nice. Food was amazing. Started with the tuna tartare, which was a special and it was superb, followed by the steak and the Branzino, both were amazing. My friends had the lamb which was reportedly delicious. It’s a little expensive, but completely worth it. You will have a great dining experience here. I’ll be back. 100%

The new Farmhouse at the Crossroads is a great experience. Only recently opened and it's interesting to see the restaurant evolve and hit their stride. Food is creative and delicious. Chef Matt is committed to his craft. The GM, Kirsten is delightful and works hard to provide the best dining experience. Brunch is probably my favorite with the Avocado Toast and small tasting flight of Bloody Mary's. The Medjool Dates are a must try. Chicken & Waffles are excellent (while they last - sell out quick). Craft beers, yum. Fun, great vibe, should totally have staying power.

Such a nice restaurant! We went for my 40th birthday. And everything was amazing! Especially the mussels, truffle fries, and cavatelli with sausage. So so delicious! Definitely recommended. And the atmosphere is gorgeous.

Absolutely amazing, a-m-a-z-i-n-g food that is refreshing, fulfilling, and reasonably priced/portioned. Both the brunch and the dinner are phenomenal and I recommend getting a few oysters too! The service is amazing and the restaurant is beautifully decorated! 10/10 would recommend!

Surprisingly it was busy for a Tuesday Night but Farmhouse never disappoints! Ordered the Butternut Squash Soup and OMG hands down the best I've ever had! I literally couldn't put my spoon down and when the waiter came to take it away bc they thought I was done, I said NOT YET! LOL. Farmhouse is my favorite restaurant in North Stamford bc of the quality of the food, service and ambiance!

This place is truly a gem. The service was excellent. The food was amazing and drinks were spot on. The vibe in this place is very welcoming and all staff members are extremely nice and attentive. Already planning my next trip back. The attached video is of the lobster stuffed Ravioli and shrimp alongside the Branzino dish. To die for!!

This relatively new restaurant knows what it's doing. Although the welcome could be a tad warmer, and one of the rooms has too-cool lighting that offsets the desired mood, the overall experience is excellent. The food is top notch and generous and the staff is friendly, professional and eager to please. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for. A gem for North Stamford. July 2025 update - the place tries to be a five start restaurant, but there are too many items that prevent that. The welcome is still icy cold - nary a smile or warm words. The food is good, not excellent. Some portions are on the small side. For example, the charcuterie board with "truffle burrata" has a small amount of meat and you get half a burrata (with no truffle). And the green olives are generic, hard ones (menu says "marinated" - they are not) - also is supposed to have herb salad - which did not appear. The brisket, although generous, does not have much flavor. In the main room of the restaurant there is a slight smell and outside, on one side you see the broken umbrellas, chairs, heaters and looks like a forgotten part of a yard. Trim around the doors is in need of patching and a fresh coat of paint. The brunch menu is well priced, but the appetizers and desserts have the dinner prices, so compared to the main brunch dishes, overpriced. Our waiter was willing and able and helped make it a nice meal. There is much there, but needs a lot attention to detail.

My fiancee and I dined here and had a wonderful experience. The music was lovely as was the live band that played toward the end of our dinner. Our server was Steven, who made sure we had a lovely experience. We’re not from the area but when we visit again, we’ll make sure to dine here! Also, the outdoor seating is dog-friendly!

Wow!!! To say we were impressed is an understatement. Phenomenal! The food was delicious, service was excellent, ambience great. Whether you come in wearing jeans or a suit and tie Farmhouse is welcoming and wonderful. The pork chop is fantastic, branzino top notch and the donut dessert to die for. Nice touch was the live music, light classic rock. All made for a great night at a place that rivals any NYC bistro. We will be back soon!

The lobster ravioli was THE BEST I’ve ever eaten. Met friends there for dinner Friday night. We sat on the patio. Was my first time dining there. Whenever I see lobster ravioli on a menu, I have to get it and this was by far THE BEST (ravioli stuffed with lobster, sautéed shrimp, champagne sauce, topped with crispy prosciutto). Service and food were excellent. Lovely outdoor space. Nice ambiance. Great band playing. Valet parking. Highly recommend. 5-stars.

The food is incredibly delicious. We shared the ribeye which was seasoned so nicely and cooked to perfection! Service was great. The ambiance is amazing ~ there are several rooms decorated beautifully! They had an acoustic guitar player which was a nice touch and he was very good! Wish I found this restaurant sooner. We will be back again soon.

This was my first visit here and my only complaint was I was too full for dessert so I have to come back! The service was impeccable. My water was never empty. The food was delicious and made with care and the ambiance was cozy and romantic. The French toast was perfect. Crispy and covered in syrup. I can’t wait to come back!

Really nice place and the food is great! Monica was our waitress and she is super nice. We went there to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends for brunch and we had a great time. We will definitely came back again soon.

Excellent, very friendly and prompt service, they accommodated a party of 10 with only 48 prior notice/reservation. Food was heavenly, every single item delivered to the table was delicious and beautifully presented, from appetizers through dinner to desert. Highly, highly recommend. Made our birthday dinner extra special. Thank you!

Outstanding customer service by Joe a nd his team. The cream brulee was the best we have eaten... anywhere. Also loved the bacon and salmon sandwich. The food can be a bit hit or miss.We had to return both of our dishes last time as the salmon and burger were both undercooked. Try the pizza as an app. Place is a bit out of the way but worth the drive. Easy parking.

An absolutely delicious dinner. We went on a Friday, there was live music and the guy was very good! Every single dish (there were 6 of us) was fantastic! The service was impeccable, the cocktails were creative and yummy.. oh and did I mention the food?! We would definitely recommend this spot and can’t wait to go back!!

Just had my daughter's baby shower in the Air Room this weekend. It was perfect! The food was amazing and the staff was just wonderful! The men hung out together in the restaurant and also said the food/service was fantastic. I highly recommend it and would absolutely have another event there!

We stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We were lucky enough to grab a bit of live entertainment which was playing. For starters we had the charcuterie board which was good. For my lunch entree I had the burger while my girlfriend had the French toast. We both enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent, Nelly did a great job of taking care of our order. She was very pleasant.

Ten of us in our extended family came here for brunch on New Years Eve. Good seating arrangements and attentive service. The appetizers and entrees were generally tasty and well presented. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

First time at this new restaurant. Sat outside on large patio. Live solo guitarist/singer was good but could not hear well in far reaches of patio, but still nice. Great covered tables, outdoor lighting, a fire pit lit at 8pm. Service/kitchen speed seems to have improved since opening about 6wks ago, looking at previous reviews. Had the marguerita flatbread to share as starter, was size of pizza and delicious! I had the spring pasta with lobster tail, very good, and daughter had Thai noodle and shrimp cold salad, which she liked and would order again. My classic cosmopolitan had to be sent back, too tart but they fixed it. Was a lovely dinner out and well executed by this restaurant that had closed about 2yrs ago as The Tavern(?). Will def return! Open for lunch and dinner, closed on Sundays.

We had a big group for a birthday and our waiter was great! We had a lot of orders, but he kept a good eye on us without being overbearing. After reading some reviews, I was worried about the food, but everything was great!! Food came out quickly and was hot. Prices are steep, but it's marketing itself as fine dining, so it was expected. I tried the grilled octopus, meatballs, dates, and calamari for appetizers. Loved the grilled octopus and calamari the most, but everything was tasty. The bread they brought to the table was warm, and whatever they brought with it to dip it in was delightful. For my main, I had the veal chop. It was HUGE. It could easily feed 2 people. Flavor was yummy. Hopefully, it reheats well because I had a lot left.

Been here a number of times and it was consistently very good from the service to the atmosphere to the food which was why I selected it to host a holiday family meal. Unfortunately it was an extremely disappointing evening from the service to the atmosphere to the food. I believe the restaurant was extremely overwhelmed, it was the Saturday before Christmas and they were busy. It started with the room we were in. It was a back room with no holiday decorations. They put 5 of us at a four top which made for a less than comfortable experience. I get it it’s the holidays they were busy but lmk when i make the reservation. Unfortunately that could have all been overlooked had the service and the meals lived up to past experience, they did not. We were not allowed to put an order in for apps while we chatted and decided what our entrees were going to be. The waiter who seemed extremely nervous told us that chef doesn’t allow that. We should have taken that as an indication of things to come. Drinks and apps lived up to expectations. When the entrees came, we were asked where each meal went. At $150 a person you place the entree in front of the correct person. My meal was excellent unfortunately the rest of the party was not as lucky. The biggest issue was with one of the specials- the scallops and risotto. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the risotto was not. It was a long grain with broth and it was undercooked to the point of crunchy at times. We didn’t say anything until our usual waiter came over to say hi and asked how we were doing. We let hom lnow that we missed not having him and the risotto was about a 5 on a scale of 1-10. Shortly after that chef showed up with a bag of Arborio rice to show us that was the rice that was used. And he let us know that he was from Italy. I appreciate the chef taking time to come out however his time would have been much better spent if he said i’ll look into what happened with your meals apologies. But instead there was no accountability, the interaction was combative, just not the right way to handle things especially given the season. They did offer the table homemade lemon cello, three of the five partook not exactly the equivalent to the $50 entree and no accountability with the one exception of our usual waiter. Given the negatives of the evening, I don’t see us rushing back anytime soon.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming but the food is totally overpriced for what you get. The $35 lobster rolls were tiny and can be finished in 2 bites. Pity.

A little crowded(not enough room to move about)..food was late (and chicken sandwich fresh/not properly cooked) yet hosts was adamant on advising the group on leaving on pre-arranged time.

Atmosphere and service is top notch. Food is not good. Seems like proveyor frozen pre-made. Something like Sysco or US Foods. My wife's stuffed chicken was still frozen in the middle. Steak was a horrible cut and injection tenderized. All desserts are proveyor pre-made. Cutting corners on quality but keeping the prices high. Who's running the kitchen, the owner? $425 (with drinks and 20% tip) for a miserable, uninspired and not house made meal on Mother's Day? Get your act together!

My husband and I opted for this place because it is so sentimental. My mom had her rehearsal dinner here in the late 80s. But it went downhill pretty quickly. We were sat and the bread came minutes later.... we are both strictly vegetarian (vegetarian AND vegan options on menu). The bread had pork or some sort of cured meat in it and they hadn't told us! Honestly... this made me really sick. The cauliflower app was literally eh.... the pizza oven was "not working" and the prices were wayyyy beyond normal. $30 for pasta and squash blooms? Lol..... 😵‍💫 for what? I don't believe the quality was great but I'm super upset about meat in the bread. Unusual and really weird to do when you have those options on the menu. People need to be notified of this or could risk getting sick as I did. Do better, Farmhouse.

My sister and I had brunch there recently and they must have hired a new chef. First off, when we arrived, the wait staff seemed annoyed for some reason and we did not feel welcomed. The food was not great, my sister's bacon was not fully cooked and I ordered a burger which was put on a plain English muffin which could not stand up to the burger. It should have been put on a roll. I asked the waiter to bring us crispy bacon which he did, but why should I have to ask him that when paying high prices for a brunch? The food and prices do not match the lovely ambiance of the restaurant.

Party size 6 adults and 3 kids. We booked an off time at around 4:00 PM and there was plenty of vacancy, but we had to wait for our table to be prepared which was unfortunate. The price point for an appetizer, salad, entree was an astounding $105 (not including tax and tip), so that was probably closer to $130 for a 3 course meal that didn't include the dessert! This is a bit high for a restaurant attempting to pursue fine dining experience as the service was not great - had to wait and call the staff over a couple times and additionally, no steak knives were given and the food was overly salty. For that price point having dined at plenty of places in New York, it's almost expected youre going to go above and beyond in terms of service, but that wasn't quite evident here unfortunately. Re appetizer - very minimal quantities Re entree - the lamb was good! the steak was not cooked to a typical medium rare. Re salad - there were about 4 bites of salad at best that can be improved for $130! Pretty disappointing. Re dessert - for such a high pricepoint, you would think there woudl be a dessert included in the fixed menu, but unfotunately wasn't and i had to ask when given the dessert menu as if they were trying to push it upon us to order extra. Anyway, if you're willing ot fork over $130/per person. I highly recommend a place that serves good food in addition to providing a superb level of service in an environment that is at parity to other restuarants. You'll find fine dining restaurants in downtown stamford that are 30% more affordable and just as good food. I hope the management for Farmhouse takes this all into consideration as objective feedback and adjusts their pricing accordingly.

While I’m not thrilled with the renovation they did to the Long Ridge Tavern, times change and the atmosphere was nice and there was good energy. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly and welcoming. 5 stars for Atmosphere and Service. Unfortunately the food was uninspiring, bland, seemed as if it was pre-made from a food service like Sysco. The pizza was soggy, the salads were soggy, the stuffed chicken seemed entirely fake possibly delivered to them frozen and reheated.

M
Maria Tortorella

Service was perfect. Atmosphere was perfect. But the food! was horrific! The duck was so hard to chew on, it was inedible ! Desert was terrible. And that is usually impossible to mess up. You need to change your chef. For the high price, at least medium quality food would be acceptable. But this was not even close. Even with the great service, I would not recommend.

Went here for New Years Eve 2025 and were expecting much, however wound up sorely underwhelmed. Food for the holiday menu was expensive ($115 each set menu no drinks included) and not great. Cauliflower and Onion soup were great. Entrees were mehhhhh. Stuffed chicken was wierdly seasoned; Filet Minion was too fatty and just chewed like a poor quality flank steak. Deserts good. Don't think we will be returning. Nice people though !

I wanted to like it! I heard about this place years ago and it was on my to do list for some time. A neighbor went and raved about it which made me want to go even more. I went today and it seemed nice at first, with friendly greetings and literally the best restaurant chairs I've ever sat in, if not best chair ever. Our waiter was a nice young man who was very attentive and he wasn't responsible for anything that happened that I write here next. I received tap water instead of bottled water from one of the other service people. I ordered a coffee which was the biggest coffee cup I've seen since So I Married An Axe Murderer ("I believe I ordered the large cappuccino, hello!") and I received all the fixings - but no spoon. I ordered some charcuterie and the presentation was big and beautiful on a wooden lazy susan but all the food was bland. I tried one of the aranchini's we ordered and it was not good either. Missing salt and other spices to make the food taste good. The food felt uninspired and lacking direction. And the burrata was the worst I've ever eaten. When it came time to my main meal, it just got worse. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles which came out in a bed of cut up watermelon which I don't like and was not listed on the menu as such - I would have ordered another item otherwise. To make things worse, the watermelon juices were soaked into the waffles making them soggy and just not edible. The butter for the waffles was good but was put on the chicken for some reason which made that meat hard to eat too. The chicken lacked salt and any kind of flavor too and there wasn't even any salt on the table. I didn't even want to try my guest's meal - a BBQ beef brisket sandwich as it looked disgusting. The fries were good though - at least they put salt into something. The atmosphere felt a bit disjointed - like 3 restaurants mushed together with one modern white marble room with hanging birdcage like chairs and modern tables next to a rustic farm room with a wooden floor, a fireplace, and nice tables and chairs (where we sat) and it looked like there were tables with booths in another section that was more casual. The bathroom was appointed with the modern marble style but stank like old urine. When the bill came it was about twice the money for what we could have gotten at a nicer restaurant closer by. I would only go back here to buy one of the chairs in the section I was seated in.

Incredibly disappointing experience dining here for Christmas Eve with our toddler. We waited 90 minutes before we had to ask for our check and take our entree and dessert to go(dry and flavorless). Written up as a 'family friendly option' for. the holiday. Furthermore, the wall length water picture frame behind us sounded like nails on a chalkboard and called for multiple pitchers of water to refill in order for the noise to settle as if the space wasn't vetted at all before seating guests. The worst part was speaking to the manager Tony to share our "experience" and being met with no apologies and no grace.

S
Sarah Karim

We came here for Mother’s Day and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When we booked, there was no mention of a prix fixe menu, which we only learned upon arrival. We decided to stay, but the evening went downhill from there. First, we were told the French onion soup we had ordered was sold out after placing our order. About 20 minutes later, we were also informed the dessert option was no longer available, and we’d be getting a lava cake instead. The appetizers took over an hour to arrive and were mediocre at best. We waited even longer for our main entrees, which were equally underwhelming. Nearly three hours after sitting down, our dessert finally arrived—and it wasn’t the lava cake we were promised, but a dry chocolate cake with melted ice cream. To make matters worse, we saw other tables receiving cheesecakes that we had been told were sold out. For a $400+ bill for three people, this experience was unacceptable. Poor communication, long delays, and subpar food made this a night to forget. We won’t be returning.

Not surprised with the recent bad reviews of Farmhouse. We went for Mother’s Day and the hostess was totally thrown off by our request to sit outside, even though it was requested on our reservation and the patio was 75% empty. The fixe menu was new and not mentioned when we made or confirmed our reservation. My husband got the same thing he got for brunch last year on Mother’s Day, it was $105 as opposed to the $25ish it was last year (though did include an appetizer and dessert). The food was ok but not great, tuna was heavily over-salted, poached eggs were under cooked. For a set menu, service was extremely slow; while it was nice that we weren’t rushed, two hours for brunch with two small kids is at least 45 min longer than it should be. Our waiter was very nice but mostly absent and we had to ask for him a few times.

I am not even sure where to begin to express my utter disappointment with this restaurant. We went for Mother's Day dinner. It took 40 minutes to get some bread, which was stale after asking 3 times for it. $105 price fix for food that was cold, they were out French Onion Soup - they wouldn't substitute a salad as there was no kitchen prep for it. Eventually the owner, who was yelling at his staff all night said loud enough for me to hear "just give her what she wants for God's sake". The calamari was cold (and it was fried). We were short a table setting and had to ask 2 times for utensils and a bread plate AFTER the meal came. So the meal- I ordered the steak frites- after 4 times of telling the server that I have a shellfish allergy- I asked if anything was cooked with or shared space with shellfish. He said "no, all separate from what I know". The steak was undercooked and half of it was fat. The fries- served cold and some to find out after having a reaction that yes, they are cooked with shellfish. My mom's 2 lamb chops had no meat on them and her mashed potatoes were cold. The vegetables- the carrots- were not even cooked. Hard as a rock. This also was true for the artichokes in my son's meals. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli. For $105 he got 4, yes 4 small ravioli. When we wanted to speak to the owner- he send over another server and questioned why we were unhappy. The owner cowardly avoided us. After- the second server (the first one was Joe-) said "do we want to take our desserts to go". We had no idea dessert was included because on the menu - each dessert had a price next to it. The server- Joe- never asked what we wanted when we ordered. Not to mention they were out of most of the desserts. We should have been refunded for most of the order. They felt they were so generous by taking $100 off of the bill when 3 of the 5 meals weren't even touched. WHAT A RIP OFF OF CHARGING $105 pp for sub par cuisine. I will NEVER return. The owner is a coward and treated his staff abusively. 0 stars.

L
Lacey Ramsey

This will be the last time we ever dine here again. We requested specific table, were promised it twice when we called to confirm, and when we arrived, they said we could not have the table. Meanwhile, it sat vacant for the entirety of our TWO HOUR dinner. If I could give the food less than 1 star, I would. The meatball appetizer was literally inedible, as were the fries that came with the disgustingly overcooked steak. We asked for regular fries because whatever was smothered all over them was horrendous. But when the plain fries arrived, they were just as gross. It tastes like the oil in the deep fryer hadn’t been changed in a year. The smell of the fries alone was atrocious. The stuffed chicken was fine, but not worth the price of the meal. My kid had a bowl of buttered pasta for $25 and it didn’t even include desert. When my husband made the reservation, no one told him it was a prix fix menu. To boot, the $105 didn’t even include dessert, which was the only edible food we were served. Even our Negronis were bad. No ice cube, no orange slide. If we could have the money and calories back, we’d be happy. Will never return, which is too bad because the ambience is nice. But inedible food is never ok.

Parking is valet only, but the valet driver didn’t know how to drive manual so we had to park our own car. This wasn’t a problem, at least they were honest. The waitress lost her train of thought multiple times while trying to tell us what the specials were, so we weren’t even sure what they were. She did tell us that one special was a lamb chop with broccoli rabe, but that was on the menu. We ordered a halibut with curry dish and the pork chop dish. The waitress asked us how we wanted the pork chop cooked, even though it was a pounded, breaded cutlet. The halibut must have been an error because what I received was two pieces of fish skin over tomatoes, olives, and zucchini drenched in vinegar. There was no curry, and the fish was not halibut. Additionally, when I removed the fish skin, there was nearly no fish to eat. One piece had a wafer thin amount of fish and the second piece was just skin. The taste was incredibly acidic and there was absolutely nothing else to the dish. The pork chop came with a small bowl of pasta, and both were soaked in oil. We were asked by four different people if we wanted a dessert menu before finally bringing us a check. Also, the structural integrity of the chairs is concerning. Both of our chairs had loose legs and felt like they were going to break at any moment. The only redeeming aspect of this experience was the live music, which was really lovely.

B
Bruce

Went for NYE with a group of people. As I was sitting there at the table, my chair leg collapsed and I fell backwards in the chair hitting the back of my head on the floor - not hard but it scared me. Several nearby diners came to assist me on getting up. Oddly, no servers or staff were present in the area to see what happened. Eventually one of the waiters came by and asked if all was ok. He quickly pulled the broken chair away into another outdoor area. I believe then the hostess came by and also checked up on me and made a comment that ..."well, chairs will break on occasion". Seriously? The owner then showed up with a much more robust chair and offered up a bottle of decent wine for the table. It just surprises me that an establishment will brush off a defective chair and try and placate the table with a bottle of wine for our group. When it was all said and done I went up to each of the 3 diners who came to my assistance and thanked them for their help. And quite honestly, the restaurant should have at least comped my own meal but that never occurred. I'll think twice before going back.

S
Stacey D

Extremely disappointing experience. Mediocre (at best) food, terrible service, and acoustics so bad the event we were attending there was hard to enjoy. Their valet lost my key chain with all my keys except my car key fob, which had been deliberately removed from my keychain, as well as other personal items. The manager was shockingly dismissive - rude, and offered no assistance or even an apology. I had to call repeatedly just to get the valet company’s information. Thankfully, the valet company handled the situation professionally. The restaurant took no responsibility at all.
