Absolutely amazing experience at Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly — everything from the seafood to the seasoning was on point. What really made the night stand out was Michael. He was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being overbearing. His service truly elevated the whole experience. Great food, great vibes, and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be back and asking for Michael again!

I came here with a few friends and was really surprised by how good the service was! The crawfish and crab legs were super fresh, and the Cajun sauce was delicious. The second we walked in the manager Anthony instantly became family he was beyond friendly and welcoming, Our server Moe was truly the best and on his A Game! Their prices are great and the food was sooo fresh and unbelievable delicious!! I am definitely coming here and bringing my off the boat parents to eat here they will feel like they eating fresh seafood right out of the ocean!!!! The size of the seafood is definitely not cheap!!! Make sure you come starving cause you definitely won't stop and cant stop eating!!

You can combine any kind of seafood and add sides such as corn, potatoes…. Restaurant offers several souses with great flavor. Update.. just went there tonight for Valentine's Day dinner with my wife, 2/14/24. We were able to beat the dinner rush and had amazing time. Our waiter Brad was attentive and personable. He made our our dinner experience so much better. Excellent customer service make such a difference. The food was delicious and it comes out quickly, you can't beat that. Prices are good for seafood. Decided to take my wife out on the town and hit up some Cajun style steamed seafood. So we drove from Edison NJ to the Staten Island location. There is one in Linden but I'm more familiar with SI. First off outside it looks nice but you can't really tell until you walk in. Atmosphere is great , music playing some old school music to some disco and other genres. Our waiter Moe was very attentive to our needs and always had a big smile on his face. Drinks were great as I had the red sangria. The bar tender/manager Anthony was super friendly and funny as he continued to make us laugh and feel comfortable. Overall I'd definitely recommend people to try Hook and Reel as I'm already hooked and will definitely come back

Came on a weekend during dinner service and the place was half empty. The food took a while to come, and when it did, it felt not worth the wait at all. The server we had was nice, informative and knowledgeable of the menu, and came to check on us every so often.. I wasn't particularly impressed with everything, but it was fun to try once. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Cajun Seafood Bar. The service was poor from start to finish, and the staff came across as rude and dismissive rather than welcoming or helpful. It honestly felt like customers were an inconvenience rather than the reason the business exists. On top of that, the menu options don’t make sense mathematically or value-wise. The pricing structure and portion combinations are poorly thought out they have two separate menus. They won’t let you order from both, (one is all you can eat, the other a-la-carte if you are at the same table with even 1 other person), making it frustrating to order and feel confident you’re getting fair value. The biggest issue I had with this is that the manager should be fired, because in a near empty restaurant (yes less than 1/4 filled on superbowl night) with staff that aren’t busy they weren’t willing to seat me separately in order to accommodate their own policy. They also do not carry any calorie free products if that matters to you aside from diet pepsi, no coke products. What stood out the most was the complete lack of effort to accommodate customers. They don’t go the extra mile — they barely meet the bare minimum. Hospitality and customer service should be the foundation of any restaurant, and unfortunately, this place falls short in both areas. I would not recommend dining here based on my experience. If you’re dining in the area, I highly recommend going to the pho place next door, my friend and I ate a large bowl of pho, two orders of grilled chicken and fried egg, vietnamese fresh rolled spring rolls, bean sprouts, diet coke, and a large shrimp sandwich plus paid for a tsn+ subscription to watch the game on my 17 pro max in high def for and walked away paying less (59 dollars including tips and 25 for the tsn+ subscription) than I would have at the hook and reel, with healthier food and significantly better service as well as the staff accommodating my changes in menu items such as replacing the broth and always being ready to help.
