It was a good but the service was fast they weren’t too busy but it felt like they were rushing us. also the food was really good when you get a burger make sure you get the deluxe not regular because if you get the regular you won’t get any pickles or anything.

Whether you are looking for breakfast lunch or dinner, this place comes highly recommended by the entire Woodrow area. Their prices may be a tad bit higher than other diners here in Staten Island, but you will have a friendly waitress serving you who are for the most part genuine and sincere. Never had a problem here to say the least. We ate at Woodrow diner from the time it opened to 2002 because we moved. The food was always good most of the wait staff was wonderful.

I have eaten in many Staten Island Diners and have not had a bad experience at Woodrow. The food and service has always been good and I particularly enjoy the hamburgers.

We had our Thanksgiving Dinner 2024 at the Woodrow Diner. Their turkey dinner and trimmings were absolutely delicious! Our regular waiter Sammy, served us with absolute care as he always does! The rest of the staff was also absolutely wonderful!

Stopped in Saturday night for a late and quick dinner with my wife. My wife just had eggs and I had the Woodrow Panini. Food was fresh and delicious. The Service was excellent. Stopped in Saturday night for a late and quick dinner with my wife. My wife just had eggs and I had the Woodrow Panini. Food was fresh and delicious. The Service was excellent. We visited for lunch, party of four and was very disappointed with the food and cleanliness. Servers and other staff are very nice.

The owner is rude and stubborn. Otherwise They make the best French onion soup

The boss is very stingy and I feel he doesn’t care for his guests. Would not let a service dog in for a customer, which I think should not be tolerated. If you get the waiter Jake T, he is the best… Food is mid.

The manager was quite defensive and said I ordered a wrap on panini bread- same price. Told him I always order this and have never been charged. Have never seen such stinginess when asking for additional cole slaw. And their prices are just as expensive as any other diner. Was surprised that it wasn’t one if the three top diners voted in SI Advance. I was shocked that manager argued over the additional one dollar they charged for substituting one bread for another. Disappointed that after asking for better cooked meat twice, my wife still ended up leaving half sandwich. They are just as costly as any other diner but seem to be cutting back quality and portions of cole slaw. Paid them what they wanted because they refused to cooperate and so they have lost a ling time customer.Never plan to return after this frugality of the mgmt. Woodrow diner seems to be changing.

Been going here for over 20 years, my pickup orders are hardly ever right. Place was pretty empty. This time owners wife was giving me extra large tzaki instead of Russian on the side, unbeknownst to me she wrapped up french dressings, I called them to speak with her , WITH OUT APOLOGY, the order taker said she wouldn’t even get on the phone! Magdi my friend tome to reinvent customers service. P.S. the 2 stars are because your food is always good.

The worker at the front is very impatient and this is the second time I’ve been here and when i was texting my parent to get money he would be like are you done yet and wouldn’t wait until my parents texted me, i am never going back again

I’ve been a customer at this diner for over 25 years. My daughter and I had lunch there today. Today will be my last time patronizing this diner. There was a miscellaneous charge for $.75 on my bill …so I asked the waitress why am I being charged in an additional $.75 she said it’s because you asked for raw onion for your sandwich. What??? She said sorry but she doesn’t make the rules. I told her she should have informed me of the charge is this something new? Apparently they started charging. She told me I can take it up with the man in the front. I spoke with the owner or owners son. He was totally nasty to me and he is a terrible business man. I asked him about the $.75 charge and his response was uncalled for ! He said “Yes we charge for raw onion on your sandwich….what do you expect things for free? You can’t order and not pay”. I said I’ve been a customer for over 25 years and never paid for raw onion on my sandwich if this is policy I should have been told or show it to me on the menu. He said I don’t have to… if I order something the customer pays & he has bills to pay nothing is for free.. and go to any restaurant on the island they charge and kept going on as if I didn’t want to pay my bill! All I did was question ??? I told him never have I been charged for raw onion on my sandwich at diners or restaurants. The way he handled it and spoke to me is was disgrace. He is a bitter little man. I will tell everyone I know not to eat there.

Not trustworthy. Manager tried "Bite & Switch" pricing -- claimed my computer generated bill was priced ~40 cents lower than menu price & wanted me to pay the higher price instead. Lost a customer for a nickel & dime tactic. Next time Annadale or Andrews or even Mikes.

Don’t eat the salmon it’s fishy tastes no flavoring, they take the skin off, I was looking forward to crispy skin sauce was heavy fish no taste, it came with rice, rice was hard and no taste it cost $28 it’s worth throwing it in the garbage….awful awful awful

They list their hours as open until midnight however I’ve called to place an order as early as 10:20 and they wouldn’t take my order telling me the kitchen is closed. One time the girl took my order and then when I arrived told I never made the order. The female staff members always act annoyed when I call and try and do everything they can to not take my order so they can leave early on a Friday night. If it wasn’t for the manager being there I would never get served. Tonight was the last straw. Its the lazy dismissive attitude the girl gives me when I call. Well, they’ve got their wish. From now on I’ll spend my money somewhere that won’t act annoyed to take it. Plenty of diners on SI

Went with special needs people manager was very rude and not helpful. Gave me a hard time because I needed 3 separate receipts to show the state how there money is being spent. Then he told me that we di not do thatfor any body.Please boycott this restaurant.

Manager on duty with the black glasses said he’s a cousin of the owner came up to my face pointing his finger and yelling at me about sending back food. I thought he was going to hit me. Stay away .

As soon as I sat down at the table, the utensils I was given had food on them from a previous person. I then ordered chocolate chip pancakes which the batter was uncooked and the pancake was raw. I brought this to the attention of management — they eventually took the charge off, but this was only after having to over explain the fact that i actually ate a raw pancake. At first he said did they bring you new ones and then made it seem like it wasn’t a problem anymore because of that but I was too grossed out to eat it. He also compared me eating a raw pancake to raw chicken saying it wouldn’t make me sick, which is also untrue. Not happy with my overall experience.

Never tip this restaurant when ordering delivery. They keep all the money and won't give the driver any tips.

This guy is literally running the place into the ground and he takes no ownership over anything. I hate leaving bad reviews but this is very much warranted. It’s so sad because this place used to be great.
