Food was excellent 👌. No one took my order at Lilly's Cafe so I came here. The waitress treated me really good 👍 . The Food was sooooooo good.
I went here with some of my family. A few weeks ago it was my first time going. I felt uncomfortable when I just walked in. I stood by the entrance with my kids and bf. (I looked a mess lol) I don't like that we were sat right by the entrance but the food was very good. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. I think they use real maple syrup on the waffles, it tasted so much better than the syrups I've had at any other restaurant. I also like the lavender latte.
Great stop for breakfast right off the freeway and worth the slight detour. My wife is a huge mole fan and the mole was excellent. The wait was not long and they texted us when our table was ready. The servers were attentive and allowed a reasonable substitution request on the mole... Very nice touch
Amazing food and amazing service! Neal (got the name from my receipt) , was running all tables and did it was such grace and efficiency! He’s so kind !!!
Love the food here! Can’t believe I hadn’t heard about this place before but now that I have I’m sure to be a regular! Sidebar— anything on the menu can easily be made vegan which is super accommodating and awesome! Much appreciated!
Amazing!! The food and the service. Excellent eclectic examples of cuisines. There were 6 of us, and we all very much enjoyed our selections. I had the molé, very flavourful, not hot. The seats have been upgraded and are very nice. I recently bruised my tailbone and was able to sit for over an hour without problem.
Not a very busy place which suprised me food was overly amazing, coffee cups were never empty. Got bottomless mimosas which are definitely bigger than usually, server was super polite and awesome to talk to, all around great atmosphere and definitely worth going!
I love the food at Nealie's Skillet. It is very flavorful and tasty, pleasing to the eye and palate. The portions are big. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I have had several items from the menu and have loved them all. I highly recommend.
I had the chicken & waffles. OMG! Delicious 😋
Absolutely loved the food and experience! The restaurant is located in a kind of private area, which made it very pleasant to sit outside, and the service was fantastic. The food was very yummy, and they had vegan options too. The coffee was also some of the best I’ve had!
We ordered a mushroom swiss burger n fries and the chilaquiles w/ chorizo. It was all delicious! They don’t skim on portions here. I still had a little bit of food left over which is unusual.
Our first time here at this hidden gem. Service was great. The restaurant is clean and the food was both generous and delicious. Will definitely come back. My daughter ordered the traditional Benedict and I ordered the Nellie’s Benedict. We forgot to take a photo of my husband’s corn beef hash.
Ate brunch here today. This place was exactly what I was hoping it would be; a tucked away gem! The place is small and unassuming, but the food and service are fantastic! The portions are huge, but so delicious you just can't stop. I would definitely go out of my way to eat here again!
Came here a couple weeks ago for a birthday brunch and will definitely be coming back. I ordered the avocado benny and egg nog latte; exquisite! The service was excellent and the indoor seating was cozy. I noticed they have outdoor patio seating and a private room available. The food was so tasty and the menu had so many options. Price was great too.
Best breakfast 😋!! Just a quick breakfast on our way home from LA. Hands down the best breakfast I've had in a very long time! I had the breakfast brisket quessadilla.......perfect! Thanks again!
This has always been a hidden gem, your neighborhood breakfast place. Neal and Haydee just remodeled the place. It looks great! The food never disappoints. This is your farm to table mom and pop place. My favorite breakfast meal is the avocado benedict, bacon, YUM…avocado, YUM…poached egg, YUM…jalapeño hollandaise, YUM and gives it the right amount of kick. The portions are a good size. My husband ordered the hearty breakfast burrito and added some chorizo. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon for some protein.
Came on a busy Sunday morning around 10:30am. Told it would be a 20 minute wait. No problem. Wait! What's that!? Got a table in 10 minutes? SURE DID! The owner is always there, which is always reassuring, and the atmosphere was great! Everyone eating, and enjoying every bite with a smile. I had chilaquiles Verde and my girlfriend got the French toast. Every bite was a piece of heaven. Nothing rubbed me the wrong way, and I for sure will come back. I'll drop a few pictures of the food. Thanks guys! I Love The Spot!
This is one of the few unique restaurants in SCV. I love eating here! They have everything from vegan dishes to alligator sausage. Thry have an outdoor patio for dining as well. I would highly recommend their iced lavender latte 💜 They are also on all of the food delivery platforms. So delicious!! Must try!
First time here! Their breakfast burrito was bomb! Loved the salad too but forgot what I ordered. Very nice and cozy spot :) Would definitely come back if I get admitted to CalArts, it's a nearby location!
This is a hidden jewel tucked away from the busy centers. The food is genuinely tasty and seasoned perfectly. Good service and he spent time explaining the specials and answering our questions. Breakfast was good and I'm looking forward to coming back for lunch.
Good food and good service. If you ate in the area looking for some 6 suggest stopping here. The food is fresh, and my wife loved her chilaquiles. The ambiance is a homie welcoming vibe.

I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best thing ever. I took one bite and immediately knew I’d be back. Every single thing we tried was ridiculously delicious and totally worth it. Do yourself a favor and go immediately, Nealie’s Skillet is a must.
Traveling through Valencia and wanted to find a comfy, local brunch place - Nealie's was exactly what we were looking for! Conveniently right off the highway too. Lots of people when we went in, but not too many - just enough to tell us we picked a good place to eat. Even though our waitress was the only one taking care of everyone, she was attentive and very welcoming. Highly recommend the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich - it's messy, but delicious! Would definitely stop by again anytime we're traveling through.

A bunch of vegan options off the menu. We asked the server what they had for vegan options. They have vegan egg, soy rizo, all their bread is vegan, and their pancakes are vegan as well. We ordered the vegan breakfast burrito, vegan breakfast sandwich, and vegan kids pancakes. All were very good and we would recommend going there again.
It is a little tucked away, but worth the find. The skillets are huge. The pictures didn't properly describe the scale to me. The prices are great for the amount of food you receive. The environment is a little awkward. When I went it was very cold, the door open, and I froze my butt off to pretty loud music. If it was a beautiful day out I think that would have been great but just be aware it doesn't seem temperature controlled. There are more ingredients in the skillet than what it lists. I would ask what is in things before you pick one. Mine was very good I just was trying to avoid carbs and once it was in front of me I had no self control. It was very delicious and I am very full.
Great breakfast spot! They had a full bar and mimosas! We ordered breakfast, and the chicken and waffles were so good! Eggs were nicely done and chicken was crispy!! Each plate had portions that were healthy. They have large skillet breakfast mixes - plenty to choose from! Staff and service was great. Seating is inside and outside. This seemed to be popular spot for breakfast, and there was a short wait for us.
This hidden gem is located in a hidden residential neighborhood in Valencia, California. I can’t believe I didn’t know this Breakfast spot was here. The atmosphere is perfect for families, couples and those traveling solo. Seating availability: In door and outdoor seating. Parking: Ample parking Customer Service: The waitstaff is amazing! Everyone was polite and very attentive. Food: Served fresh, hot and delicious! Buttermilk pancake with powder sugar was fluffy and flavorful. Country Skillet: Breakfast potatoes cooked perfectly, spinach, two fries eggs, mozzarella cheese, turkey sausage, and bacon. It also comes with gravy and ham. I chose not to have that. Drink: Hot Chocolate with whip cream, big marshmallow and chocolate drizzle. This was amazing, served in a cute mason jar. I will become a regular customer. I almost didn’t want to share this but it was SO good. I just can’t keep it to myself Support small businesses in your local company
It’s quite small on the inside but it’s not uncomfortably small, I got Nealie’s Benedict w a side of hash browns. It was was good although wish they had more of a crunch. The service is good but I asked for French toast and it never came, got it to go and it was still good and not soggy!

Finally tried Nealie's. Not disappointed. Service was a little slow and unorganized, but the food seemed very "cooked to order," and very artisan. Really well prepared and tasty. Brunch prices were LA high which was the main downside, but the lunch menu looked a little more reasonable. Atmosphere is nothing great, 2010-style wood planks on the walls inside, and a burned out building outside.

The owner whos the cook is amazing, the waiters are amazing except for the blonde white girl she had an attitude with me and my family since we moved from inside to sit outside because outside the tables were bigger. The food was pretty great I would definitely go there again. I tipped the other waiters and not her. She ruined my whole mood. I would have rated 5 stars but that waiter was just way to grumpy, she needs a new job. I went on Saturday August 27.
Coffe is very good... even without a design. I ordered the chicken and waffles very yummy. My bff ordered eggs and sausage... it was meh cold sausage and hash browns had no “brown” seems like it needed some extra time on the skillet. Place is nice but the metal chairs are very uncomfortable. Service is ok... no refills of water and no follow ups in case I needed something else... I could have ordered more since I was still hungry... but they never came back. Enough said... place is ok for breakfast but there are plenty of choices in SCV. Enjoy.
The food is good. It's a small, cozy spot, though it can feel a bit tight or cramped. Still, the quality of the food makes up for the limited space. Kinda wish they were open later. Pregnancy cravings kick in after hours.
Wanted to try a new brunch place. The service is great and the coffee is good. Sadly the food left us wanting. The Country Steak and Eggs had a Turkey gravy which was bland. The Spring Benedict was also a little disappointing as the ingredients sound great, but the execution missed its mark. Maybe a little less arugula and try a pesto aioli spread rather than a small dollop would make it stand out more. Place has great potential as a brunch spot. Maybe it was just a bad day. Will try again

Okay interesting food, like a peanut butter burger, but some disappointing moments. Long wait even when quiet, old Heinz plastic bottle filled up with some water imitation, but you do get a sample of the menu ON the menu (seriously, it's wipe clean... why couldn't they wipe it clean?)
As a first time customer, our experience was not the greatest. We were served dirty side dishes and utensils, which was very off-putting. They only had one service person for the entire restaraunt on a busy morning. Long food wait times. Had to walk up to the counter to pay as the wait was too much. Unsanitary, overworked server, and long wait time.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, but food very disappointing. Only French press coffee up to par. Hash browns were not at all brown, chicken fajita omelette just OK, scrambled eggs were dry, cappuccino was tiny. Decent toast. Come for the atmosphere, but set your expectations low for the food.
We stopped here for lunch during a trip to Six Flags. While the location seemed quaint, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. There were a few issues and the service quickly turned bizarre and awkward. 1. They were out of kids menus. Not a big deal, but it would have helped to be informed of this at seating. 2. My son ordered a cheeseburger. 5 minutes after placing the order, the server comes back and tells us they're out of buns. He suggested to get the cheeseburger on French Toast. Why? 3. My food arrived. Eggs were overcooked and I alerted the server. He says they're supposed to be like that. The style of eggs were "over poached" The server spent the rest of the visit avoiding us and quickly dropped off the check. As for the flavor of the food: I ordered the chicken and waffle Benedict. Chicken was under seasoned. Waffle has no flavor or texture. The arugula was the only thing I could taste in the dish. My purposely "over poached" egg was left alone as I did not get a Benedict to eat hard boiled eggs. To the cook: try seasoning your food a bit. I know this restaurant is located in suburbia with delicate palates, but most people don't like flavorless food.
My gf and I came here and The food we got was bland had an after taste that was not good. Got a lemonade with no ice (warm) then replaced it with a sprite (flat) and my Coke Zero was flat as well. Paid 50 bucks when I could’ve gotten way better food at Saugus cafe.
Very dirty! Cups had lipstick on them. Another coffee cup was very chipped from all sides.A beer cup had something like boogers. When we decided to leave they said the food is ready and need to pay even tho we didn’t even touched the drinks 🙂
Good food. Service needs work. Restaurant not busy only 3 other tables. 2 servers who seemed to be flirting more than servicing customers. Took long for them to take my order. My food was ready just waiting at counter that took time also. Water never got refilled. But was fast with the bill. 🤷🏻♂️
When the server brings you your plate and there is clearly a long black hair on the plate, it’s hard to desire starting to eat, let alone finishing. We tried, but couldn’t get past the visual. Yes! We should have said something, instead we casually paid for our food, walked out and went somewhere else. It was our first time trying this place, will not be go ing back. Responding to Owner comment Below. I appreciate your response, but the vibe was killed for us. We hold no ill will towards the business and we hope you guys do well.
I went to Nealie’s Skillet to pick up a to-go order, and what should have been a simple transaction turned into an experience I feel compelled to share. When I arrived and inquired about my order, Neal—the owner himself—was immediately dismissive and rude. His attitude wasn’t just unprofessional; it was hostile. While I sat waiting for my food, his behavior continued to be unwelcoming and disrespectful, making what should have been a brief wait feel uncomfortable and demeaning. But what happened next crosses a serious line: After I left with my order, my phone was flooded with calls from the restaurant. They repeatedly called to accuse me of trying to “defame their company” and insisting I was lying about my experience. Let me be clear: I’m not defaming anyone. I’m sharing an honest account of what happened to me as a customer. Business reviews exist to create transparency in order to help other customers make informed decisions and to give businesses feedback about their service. That’s exactly what I’m doing here. The fact that this business responded to a customer’s negative experience by harassing them with phone calls is deeply concerning and, frankly, far more troubling than the original poor service. This kind of response to criticism suggests a fundamental misunderstanding of how customer feedback works and raises serious questions about how this establishment handles accountability. I cannot recommend a business that not only provides poor service but then attempts to intimidate customers who speak honestly about their experience.
