Went for the first time last night for happy hour with our work family. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Had my son come up with his 4 yr old. She had a blast and we had to convince her it was closing time so she would leave. We all had a great time there and will definitely go back. I do wish they had atleast a small availability of mixed drinks, not a fan of the canned ones they had, I tried the margarita, but am definitely not a beer person so I ended up woth the prickly pear lemonade. It was good but would have been great spiked.

Great beer, great food, great ambiance. This place is awesome for the whole family with a kids area, and awesome for the parents too! They said tours of the brewery will be coming soon as well

Was here for a meeting and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so close to home! Great selection of beer here. Food is pretty good too. Especially the pizza with pickled onions and pickles! Coworkers were enjoying the pickleball courts and playground lol. Great place to hang out on a chill evening. Will likely be back!

Awesome! Great place for all and it's huge! Outside area for families, big stage, big indoor seating area, a play set that beats A LOT of parks around here. Everything seems very well thought out for a great experience. Reminds me a bit of Meanwhile in Austin. Happy to have a place like this now here. They just opened so they don't have too many beers on tap, but the ones they had were good. Can't wait to go back when it's not 1,000° out.

First time here was a win! Great beer and some of the best pizza we’ve had. The beet and goat cheese salad with arugula was delicious!! 😋 Beer and food menu was extensive, atmosphere was welcoming, and the outdoor space was our favorite part. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a great time with our family today. The playground is great for the kids. The pizza was delicious! The queso was yummy! Glad you have tea, soda and coffee choices we are not drinkers. The kids enjoyed the ice cream treat.

Today was my first time here with the family and it was a pleasant experience. The pizza was soo delicious and so was the beer. The food came out pretty quick. My only complaint was the mojito, it was sooo strong that I couldn’t even drink it :(( Other than that, we had a great time with the kids!

Fantastic Experience at Talyard Brewing Company! I recently hosted my birthday party at Talyard Brewing Company, and it was amazing! The venue has a warm and inviting vibe, perfect for celebrating with friends and family. Their beer selection is top-notch, with plenty of options on tap to satisfy everyone. The BBQ pit area stole the show— all the food was absolutely delicious! From the perfectly smoked meats to the flavorful sides, every bite was a hit with my guests. A huge shoutout to Ronda for making our celebration extra special! Her friendly service and attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly, and my guests felt so well taken care of. The VIP wristband system was a fun and convenient way to enjoy unlimited access to the bar, making it easy for everyone to order drinks and food without any hassle. They also took our orders directly. If you're planning a special event or just looking for a great place to hang out, I can’t recommend Talyard Brewing Company enough. Great drinks, outstanding food, and stellar service! Cheers to the Talyard team, and especially Ronda, for making my birthday unforgettable! 🎉🍻

This brewery is big and spacious. I went on a Sunday and watch the Texans game on the second floor patio which had ceiling fans. The kellerbier and the bine traveler were my favorite beers. The kids had snow cones and play in the playground. Also their food was good we order a garden salad and a pizza and they were good. Overall this brewery is good, I recommend it.

Love it here!!! Where was this place 10 years ago when my kids were little?!?! My BFFs & I came to enjoy my birthday w/out our families and we thoroughly enjoyed our adult time even though there’s a kid area. The food was excellent & I wish I would have taken a picture of the yummy shrimp tacos. Loved the view; you should definitely come here.

Easy 5 vibes! Great selection of food and things to do! Fun for the kids with a huge playground with pickle ball court. There’s a pit going with bbq or you can get a pizza or a burger (pizza takes a while) but the service and vibes all 10/10! We were helped by a guy named Johnny! This guy was great helped our kid when he was lost help with getting drinks and food!

Cool little hangout spot in Sugarland. I was invited to an event here so I came and checked it out. They have food and brews. Of course, they brew their own beer here. They have some outdoor activities as well like a playground for kids and Pickleball courts. A very nice place overall. Definitely weren't coming to see what it's about. Family friendly.

Loved this place! Huge brewery with plenty to do for the kiddos and adults. Pickleball courts, big playground, nice balcony and even a stage outside! Food and beer was solid and id definitely be back next time I am in town!

Lets get right to the good points. The atmosphere is great. It's fun, chill, relaxing and family fun. I could also see you and the homies hanging here too, macking on some baddies. The service was very friendly and patient. They got friggin pickle ball out here. Lots of things for kids and adults to do. I'm happy a place like this exist so close to home. Prices are good for the atmosphere and vibe. If you like hipster brewery places in htown downtown then you'll like this. The only con is the food is OK at best. It's not bad, but it's nothing exceptionally. I had the margarita pizza, crispy crunch for the pizza. But if that's the sacrifice I need to make for a place like this that's not an hour away from the house, I'm good with it. I'll definitely be back.

Drove by this place and there’s always lots of people so we decided to stop in and we’re glad we did!! Great pizza, great service, and great vibe!! Talked with James and got the history of the place and wish them continued success. We will be back!! Updated with pics.

Nice place that is family friendly. They have great beer, a big playground, lots of area to run around in and 2 Pickleball courts. Good menu options that isn’t bar food and many BBQ options. You can’t go wrong and the kids will be happy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service & Seamless Banquet Experience Our company recently hosted a banquet at this restaurant/brewery, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff (shout out to our boy, Ron!) went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled — from the room setup and décor to the timing of food service. Their team worked with us flawlessly, even accommodating our presentation needs with reliable audio and visual support. The service was attentive without ever feeling intrusive, and the food was terrific. Every member of our group had something positive to say about both the quality of the meal and the professionalism of the staff. If you’re looking for a venue that combines great food, excellent service, and the ability to support corporate or special events with ease, this is absolutely the place. Highly recommend for banquets, celebrations, and group gatherings.

We recently visited this brewery and were thoroughly impressed. The expansive grounds offer numerous activities for children, including slides and play areas, allowing them to enjoy themselves while parents relax. Adults can also engage in various games or watch television, enhancing the overall experience. It’s wonderful to have a place where families can come together; the cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere further add to its appeal. While the food is standard, the overall ambiance and facilities make it a place worth visiting

A friend of mine recommended this spot, and even though it was a little outside of our usual area, we decided to check it out—and I’m so glad we did. When you first pull up, the place is huge with plenty of parking, which is always a plus. As you walk toward the entrance, you’ll notice the brewery on the right, with large glass doors giving you a peek inside—it’s a pretty cool sight. Once you step inside, the space opens up wide with tons of seating, lots of smiling faces, and a family-friendly vibe. On the right side, you’ll find the barbecue pit masters in action, serving up mouthwatering dishes right in front of you. You can actually see the impressive pit where all the magic happens. We took some time to explore. First stop: the brewery. We tried a few drinks, including some surprisingly good seltzers. After that, we grabbed a pizza—absolutely delicious with tons of topping options. They also have a solid dessert menu if you’ve got a sweet tooth. Now for the star of the show: the barbecue. Let me tell you, it was incredible—some of the best I’ve had in a long time. And it wasn’t just the meats—the sides were just as good, which is rare. Usually, one outshines the other, but here, everything hit the mark. We had a chance to chat with one of the supervising pit masters, Jason Hammer. Super friendly and knowledgeable—he really made us feel like we were visiting a friend’s place. He even gave us a little tour and introduced us to a few folks. Upstairs, above the brewery, we found a lounge area with couches and TVs where we could just chill and people-watch (because let’s be honest, after a few drinks, that’s top-tier entertainment). The bathrooms were another unexpected highlight—spacious, very clean, and with multiple locations throughout the place, so no long waits. That alone deserves a shout-out. We ended up staying for about six hours—eating, drinking, meeting new people, and enjoying the atmosphere. It’s definitely become one of my new favorite hangouts. Whether you’re local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It’s absolutely worth it. Deliciously Toxic Foodie

Lovely family friendly atmosphere that is good for playdates and sport watching all at the same time. They have live bands that come out to play and small business stands on certain days. This is our new family hangout place for kid playdates, hang outs, and watching football. Definitely worth a visit or two or three or endless amount of times. :D Useful tip: the bar upstairs usually has a smaller line for ordering food/drinks. Enjoy!

So glad to have something like this right here in my own backyard. Plenty of space to hang out with friends and family. The beer is great, but the food could be better priced/quality. Very dog friendly and kid-friendly; I love to see everyone having a blast. Will try the food trucks soon and see how they are. Edit 02/14/2025: I’ve since gone back twice and the food has improved so much it’s incredible. Burger, pizza, tater tots, street tacos–everything tasty and well crafted. Just order inside rather than outside by the tent. Pictures are attached.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Talyard a few weeks ago and we couldn’t have asked for a better place or better staff. Our original reception venue fell through mere months before our wedding day, and Talyard came in and helped us make our wedding reception possible again. Caitlyn and Ron guided us through the planning process and took all of the stress of planning off our plates when we needed it most. The night of we had Jordan as the head bartender and he became so much more that night…he made sure things were perfect for us and did whatever he could to keep smiles on our faces (from turning down the A/C to pulling us away to eat dinner to making sure we had a drink in hand). Our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was without the Talyard staff, and we will forever be thankful for them. Thank you for everything Caitlyn, Ron, Jordan, and the whole Talyard team and owners. We are Talyard fans forever ❤️

Talyard is a family-friendly establishment that serves up authentic Texas-style 'cue with all the fixin's, from tender brisket and flavorful turkey to delicious sides and sauces, all in a fun and lively atmosphere with live music and outdoor dining. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, with a friendly staff, manager, and pit masters like Jason, who make everyone feel at home. Whether you're a BBQ aficionado or just looking for a great meal out with friends and family, Talyard is definitely worth a visit.

Great vibes!!! Talyard is exactly as advertised. Family friendly. Pet friendly. The food is both comforting and tasty. I’m a wine drinker ( they have wine, too) but had an opportunity to taste a sour IPA called Kohanaiki that was quite pleasant. Our stay was enhanced by our table-mates who happened to be the owners; super nice and exhibit the company’s logo - be good to people. Talyard is a must visit if you’re visiting Sugar Land - bring your friends, bring your family, bring your pets, and bring your good vibes!!!

We have been going to Talyard for a little over a year now and I have to saw it is THE BEST family experience you can ask for with a family with younger kids (~5-10 y/o). Their is ample room for the kids to run around and horseplay and a great playground! They had pickleball courts, but it looks like those are being taken out and construction for something else is about to start. I dont know what it will be, but I am sure it will be awesome! The beer is really good and the food is pretty fantastic too, for a brewery! They also have BBQ some nights separate from the main kitchen. Can't go wrong with this place!

We visited Talyard Brewing Co on Saturday. We found it to be a cool venue that offers tasty beer options, fire oven pizza, live music, pickle ball and a playground. The downfall is that the place was packed. The lines for ordering food were long and the wait time exceeded 45 minutes. I'd visit again during the week.

Great place to drink some good beer. It would be perfect if children were not allowed but I kind of understand the business case, bring your kids, drink our beer while they are playing… it is annoying to hear kids screaming when you are trying to relax but it is ok. Food is reasonable, go well with beer.

Outstanding service and a fantastic space for live music, welcoming everyone—including pets! Their brewery offers a diverse selection of beers, from smooth to bold. My wife, however, was all about the wine—especially the $13 one, as she likes to remind me! IG: love_to_exist

The most ideal and kid friendly brewery. It’s a nice layout and can get very busy. Food is decent and hoping a wider selection of beers.

Tallyard Brewing offers a great compound with plenty of activities for the whole family, making it more than just a brewery stop. The food and beer were decent overall. I tried the Edel Pils, which was crisp with a clean bitterness on the finish. The Fried Yard Bird was fine—crispy and flavorful with sauce that paired well, though the bread didn’t quite hold up. Fries were a highlight: hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. A solid spot to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy time with friends or family.

We were finally able to try this place during the kids Spring Break. It's nice finally having a spot like this in Sugar Land. It's a huge restaurant/brewery/play ground which is nice. The place was packed when we arrived, it was cool to see so many families there hanging out, having a good time. The atmosphere was pretty upbeat and there was plenty of seating, especially considering how packed it was. Staff was friendly and answered my wife's questions with a smile. Definitely a cool place to go, especially if the weather is nice. What we didn't like though was the wait for our order. We had to scratch our dessert plans because of that. It took an hour and 19 minutes to get our order. Also, we had to make 3 separate trips to get everything because it was incomplete when they thought it wasn't. The pickup area is overly chaotic and the staff working the line never seemed to be on the same page with the order, not helpful. I understand it's a fairly new spot and they might still be trying to work out the bugs, and that they were busy. However over an hour wait, is never acceptable... thus the 4☆'s. The food itself was good, not great. My order had good taste but the presentation seemed rushed to me. My wife liked her salad but same deal, presentation seemed rushed. It also looked like it was sitting under the Heat Lamp a bit too long. The kids liked their Cheese Pizza, so we're good there. These are all detail issues imo, so they can be easily corrected over time. We'd be willing to give them another shot, but not any time soon. I want to give them more time to clean things up a bit before going back. However, if you're going to hang out and have a few beers, this is definitely where you'd find me!

This is a very neat place. Let me start by saying the staff is great. They are so kind and welcoming to couples and families. There is a playground for kids and TONS of indoor outdoor seating. The food was good as well! For me as a non beer drinker I wasn’t a big fan of canned cocktails but it’s a brewery so just be aware. The pickleball stuff was a cool thought until we found out that it’s at a minimum 20$ per hour.

Overall, it's a chill place to hang out with friends or take the family for a night out. The beer is good, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Definitely come on a weekday if possible. The weekends are way too packed. My only issue is the food, I got a chicken sandwich that had zero flavor and soggy fries for 14$. Definitely eat before coming here.

Nice environment and perfect for family gatherings! Never had to wait for a table because there’s plenty of seating. The food is another story. My order has never been delivered correctly all the times I’ve been here. Either called prematurely and foods not ready, or never called at all — both lead to long waits for your order.

My first experience at Talyard Brewing company was tarnished by the lady who served me at the main bar. I met my friends there this evening, we ordered food and were told that there would be a 45 minute to an hour wait. I went to the bar to get a glass of wine. The glass the bar lady gave me had lipstick marks on it so I took it back and asked her for a clean glass. She went and got me a new glass and before pouring wine into it she proceeded to polish the glass rim with her T-shirt!!! She did this in front of me but tried to turn away from me to hide what she was doing. I was disgusted. When I told my friends one of them went to the outside bar and got a plastic cup for me. Who in their right mind would want to drink from a glass that’s been polished with a sweaty T-shirt? My food arrived first and for a veggie burger it wasn’t too bad, however my friend’s pizza took 2 hours to arrive! So for a first experience I’m not really impressed, if I come back I’ll make sure I’m not hungry! And I feel that this bar lady needs to learn that public standards are different from her own. Also the wine at $15 a glass is roughly 1/4 of a glass so overly priced for a tiny glass. It’s a good concept here but seriously needs some improvements to be made. Luckily for me I had the best company so the evening wasn’t a complete right off.

Beer was ok and not bad for happy hr prices. For the pickleball players….we had made a reservation for 3:30 play to secure a court for that half hr, but we were told we couldn’t play anymore even though the courts were empty. So basically you have to pay $10 every 30 mins to play. I feel like there should be a better set up there especially since our large table alone spent almost $300 there. There should be open play if a court is not reserved, just my opinion.

Talyard Brewing Company Review Talyard Brewing Company brings something new to Sugar Land—a much-needed brewery with a fantastic outdoor space, perfect for families and live music lovers. The outdoor area is incredibly spacious, making it easy to bring kids along without feeling cramped. Plus, their setup for live concerts is spot-on, adding a great vibe to the experience. The Not-So-Great Unfortunately, the food is where things take a serious nosedive. It’s the kind of menu that would make Chef Ramsey go on one of his famous rants. The margarita pizza is a complete disappointment—where’s the sauce? For $17, you’d expect something better than a cheese-sprinkled cracker. The beer cheese and chips were equally underwhelming, with stale, oil-soaked chips that screamed “leftovers.” And the wait times? Unacceptable. A 60-minute wait for what’s essentially fast food is ridiculous, especially when all you’re ordering is chips and cheese. For a brewery that’s just starting out, this is a major red flag. Final Verdict If you’re coming for the beer and the atmosphere, you’ll have a great time. But if you’re looking for a solid meal, eat somewhere else first. Hopefully, they either overhaul their kitchen or consider bringing in food trucks, which could easily elevate the experience. Nice try, Talyard—just don’t forget, great beer deserves great food.

Fantastic selection of craft beer brewed on site. Loved the beer! Tons of seating options inside and out. Pro-Tip: Skip the pizza if you're planning on eating during your visit. Menu descriptions and overall culinary vision were great, but the execution was poor. Our two pizzas were not visually appealing. Plus, I felt that the toppings were too few and of poor quality. Edible, but disappointing. Maybe the kitchen staff was having an "off day" when I visited. I saw "good" photos of other pizzas in their Google reviews, but mine (as prepared) were considerably different than what others appear to have enjoyed. So, experiences may vary. Ultimately, I could be convinced to visit again just for the beer (again, it was good). Although, if I were to eat here a second time, then I would try something else - a burger perhaps.

The whole idea is great: a nice brewery with a playground, pickleball courts and food. Problem is, on a Saturday it was over capacity. Lines of up to 25 persons to get a beer, parking lot entirely full, 50+ kids in the playground and not enough staff. Maybe focusing on the risks of having more people/kids that can be handled would be great. Not sure if I will come back to try the beer.

Talyard Brewery in Sugar Land has so much potential, and I truly want to see them thrive because the location couldn’t be better. It’s tucked into the Imperial neighborhood with a great view of the Space Cowboys’ Constellation Field in the background. The building itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed—huge glass windows showcasing the brewery in action, a nice playground for the kids, plenty of lawn seating, and even two pickleball courts you can reserve. I’ve even seen a wedding happening upstairs, so the vibe and atmosphere are definitely there. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends and family. The beer is solid too. I usually go for their Love Street/blonde ale style brews and they hit the spot every time. The food, however, is where things fall apart. The burgers and pizzas actually taste pretty good, but the wait times are rough. This was my third visit and once again the kitchen was extremely backed up. Yesterday was the deal breaker—over an hour and a half wait for a couple of pizzas. At this point, if I come back, it’ll be to relax and enjoy a drink only. I wouldn’t plan on ordering food again until something changes. They really need to tighten up their kitchen timing. When that improves, I’ll happily update my review. But for now, it’s a 2-star experience based on the wait alone. The place deserves to succeed—just needs to fix the food operation to match the rest of the experience. I usually take photos but there’s too many kids and it’ll be weird, they’re running all over this place. Next time I’ll take a picture of the front facade.

It's a really cool place, but the service is awful. The 2 stars is only because the food is good, and the beers are good. But the service takes away from it all. The line to order is always out the door and slow moving. The order takers are also pouring beers, flights, and prepping drinks. Please separate those tasks and keep your lines moving. Tonight was the 2nd time we'd tried Talyards. It was the same story as last time, but worse. Tonight, after making it halfway through the downstairs line, an employee came and told me to go upstairs to order because there was no line there. So I did, but they were unable to place my orders for coffees or hot chocolates. So, I ordered all 6 people's food and went to stand in yet another line for those drinks. That was a 25 minute line. The appetizer and all the food for 6 were done before I'd even finished my order. Then, I was told that the drip coffee machine was in the back and that it'd be another wait. I waited 5 minutes before giving up and deciding that I didn't want a cold chicken sandwich. The gentleman who took my order never returned. Mind you the whole time, this is the order taker who is gone to the back to brew a fresh pot of coffee, and has taken away one more set of hands to place orders to keep dwindling down the line. It also amazed me that they knocked out all these fancy coffee drinks on their machine on the bar, while I waited for basic drip coffee. After our meal, I had to come stand in line again, just to close out. By then, the coffee was sitting on the bar and the server shared that he'd made a fresh pot. The service has got to improve. The sad part is that the employees are great, but the way things are set up doesn't support the load of customers. There are QR codes on the tables for the menu already. PLEASE get a system in place to mobile order, and also close tabs from the table. The tech already exists in many other establishments. I'd love to be able to come and not spend 80% of my visit in lines. It is a great place, but these have been consistently poor experiences.

If you are here for food then don’t bother. It took us over an hour to get our food which was just two burgers. And even then, the burgers were just fine. Not worth the price. The wait staff didn’t ask us for how we wanted our meat. So we waited an hour for medium rare cooked meat. Imagine how long you will be waiting for well done cooked meat. If you came here to meet up with others then eat before hand and don’t bother with food. If you come here for a meal then don’t bother coming.

If you love the chaotic charm of Chuck E. Cheese but wish it came with a side of fresh air and the thrilling possibility of your child disappearing behind a tree for ten minutes, then wow, do I have the place for you. Imagine a magical land where kids can scream, sprint, and launch themselves off play structures while adults sip craft beer and pretend they’re supervising. It’s incredibly family friendly, especially if your definition of “family friendly” includes birthday parties happening every five feet, mostly for children who are hopped up on sugar and unmonitored enthusiasm. And the outdoor play area? Oh, it’s a dream. A brewery playground where adults of all ages can relax, socialize, or completely zone out while their kids form a small Lord of the Flies colony nearby. Whether you’re paying attention or not, everyone is having an absolutely fantastic time!

Don't waste your money on a barrel aged beer. They'll pour this much and tell you it's a sufficient amount for what you paid. Yes, I asked. The chips and queso was better than the average queso at a Mexican restaurant. At the end of the day though, it's about the beer, and I won't return. I need to add to my review after a response by Talyard. I'm no stranger to BBA beer as my beer fridge is stocked full of BBA's from around the country. I've also had dozens of BBA's at breweries in Houston and around the country. Never have I seen a glass not filled as this one was. Again, I won't return to Talyard. I'll make aware all of my friends with similar tastes, to simply avoid this brewery.

My family and I had a very disappointing experience with our waiter at this brewery. We were there celebrating my nephew’s birthday and spent a significant amount of money. After the event, a few of us stayed at the table to enjoy a couple more drinks, unaware that another party was scheduled. The waiter approached us with a very rude and condescending attitude, saying there was another party coming. When we asked what time it was scheduled for, he responded sarcastically, “2:45. It’s 3:15 now,” which completely caught us off guard. As we were gathering our things to leave, he asked if we knew the person who hosted the party. I explained it was my brother, and he then told us, AGAIN with a poor attitude, to let him know next time that confetti isn’t allowed because it’s difficult to clean up. I apologized and even offered to help clean, but his demeanor remained extremely unprofessional and disrespectful throughout the interaction. Overall, the lack of courtesy and professionalism from our waiter really overshadowed what should have been a pleasant celebration. Now that I think of it, I should have thrown more confetti on the ground and watched him pick every piece up. We won’t be coming back here. I intend to identify the staff member involved, and until this issue is addressed and resolved, every member of my family will be leaving a negative review detailing our experience.
