BEST! AMAZING! AWESOME! Parathas are fit for a king! We go here just for the iconic aloo parathas! Service is great and food is delicous. 10/10 reccomend bhavikas
We loved the food here. We got vada pav, Kachori, samosa and dahi papdi chaat. Really loved the Kachori even though it was a bit small
The food here is excellent! I've been coming here for years to eat. The food is tasty, quick, wholesome and very affordable. They have a wide variety of prepared foods and snacks.
I have tried their Kachori multiple times. If you are craving for a home made hot kachori for a snack in the evening, this is closest you can get. Tried their paratha pizza once. Me and my wife totally loved their simple pizza cum paratha with multiple flavors inside.
This is the spot for fresh desi street food esp. Food quality is super clean. It taste very good . The snacks they make are good. My fav is dabeli and bhelpuri. I like the fried peanuts aswell very spicy just the waycit should be . Tikki chat is good. And vada paav is very good too. Eat it there or eat asap it will taste better.
Worth it. This is the place if you're looking for inexpensive home mage vegetarian Gujrati Indian food. They also offer home made wheat rotis at a very low price. Good local takeout restaurant for non spicy Indian food. They do not serve meat. They take custom orders of fafda, papaya salad to go with fafda.
It is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Sunnyvale, serving delicious chaats, snacks, mithai and thali combos. They have authentic taste and especially Gujarati snacks are awesome. They are moderately priced compared to other restaurants around.
I love their Puran poli and Alu Paratha. It reminds me of my Mom. I don’t know about the rest, but this is the most friendly, homely restaurant I have ever been in California. In East Coast, I had my favorite restaurant that I just loved going to; Hema’s Kitchen. Really nice and good authentic food. But for Bay Area, this is my place and I will never stop going here.
I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Even eating every single meal here won't leave a hole in your pocket. The food feels home-cooked and doesn't contain excess oil or masala. I highly recommend the vada paav and the roti thaali here.
This place is AWESOME. I've been here couple times and so far I've had the roti thali, pizza paratha, vada pav and sabudana khichidi which all have been very good. Prices are reasonable too! Totally recommend this place
Easily my favorite place in bay area for homely indian food. The owners are really nice and the food is amazing. Not at all oily and its quite like ghar ka khana. I have also made some special requests quite a few times and they are quite accomodating. All the best
I loved their samosa pav, vada pav, and paratha pizza. It really gives you that feeling of being in India.
This small hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves really good Indian dishes with simple flavors, was surprised by them, haven't seen many of these in the Bay Area all trying to serve exotic ones instead.
They have Kadhi khichadi here, in the most awesomely authentic marathi home style! Was down with flu and got some here - I could have cried with joy :') Best place ever just for that!
Ma na haath nu khavanu - close to moms cooked food; Low in salt and oil. We’ve even used their services for a small event, worked out perfectly. Extra points for very neatly packing the food!

This family-owned Indian restaurant is a true find! The food service is impressively quick, making it perfect for both a quick bite or a full meal with friends and family. The warmth and hospitality of the owners add to the experience, making you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Their combos are money saving and fulfilling. They have small seating area, but mostly people do take-out. Try puran poli, khajur poli and you will love it.
Very nice homely cooked Gujarati food. This was our second visit to this place. We order Jain Thali, Cauliflower paratha and Methi paratha. Everything was fresh and in less oil. The customer service was great and they were very cooperative. They offer different Gujarati farsan/snacks as well. Glad to find good Gujarati food! This will be in our top list for our next visit to Sunnyvale.
my family are customers for 20+ years here. great homemade food and best samosas i’ve ever tasted. the stuffing is so delicious
Visiting from the east coast, I went to Bhavika's to buy some snacks as I was hungry. It was the first time for me to buy Indian sweets and I had no idea how they would taste. The people in the store were super nice and offered me samples. I bought a few that I like the best. The texture is great, and spices mix well with the sweetness. However, I forgot my credit card there and I didn't realize it until later in the night, which I guess is a testimony of how good the sweets are.. The next day, before the store was opened, I called the store and owners helped me verified the credit card. I visited Bhavika's again in the evening. The owners were waiting for me with my card. I bought a package of sweets, now flied back, and my kids love them! Thank you so much for the kind help and wonderful sweets!
One of Bay Areas first Indian Vegitarian resturants with quite possibly the most unique and tasty style of Bhel Puri I have ever had. The food is very homely and tasty, would definitely recommend!
This is the oldest Indian restaurant in the bay area. Have been to this place over thousand times and never had an upset stomach! Sattvic Gujarati vegetarian food and snacks. Convenient location. Quick service. Food is quite inexpensive here. It's a mom and pop shop and they eat the food they serve. If you want to eat out frequently and still stay healthy, this is the place. Not for people who want fancy food.
I've been eating at Bhavika's on El Camino in Sunnyvale since 2005. In a city with so many Indian restaurants, it's hard to stand out, but Bhavika's does just that. The food is consistently delicious. I've always felt like I'm being invited into the owners' home when I eat at Bhavika's. The food is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. I especially love the aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes), the dal makhani (black lentil stew), the thali, and the masala chai. If you're looking for a truly authentic and delicious Indian meal, I highly recommend Vegetarian Bhavika's. You won't be disappointed. I asked Bard, a large language model from Google AI, to help me improve my writing. I'm really happy with the results. I highly recommend Bard as well.
Amazingly authentic 100% vegetarian Gujarati cuisine. Very flavorful and healthy. Not enough place to sit and enjoy - but don’t let that deter you. I recommend you try everything on the menu - especially the daily specials. The vada pav reminded me of my time in Bombay.
My husband and I ordered the undhiyu tonight along with the methi thepla and everything was DELICIOUS! Best Undhiyu I have had in a long time. The theplas were very soft and flavorful. The staff were kind and answered any questions we had. Cant wait to go back!
I have known the owners since they started providing food from their home before opening the restaurant in 1995. The food quality has been consistent over the past 30+ years, & they have survived the economic ups and downs. Their goal is simple; to provide home style taste at an affordable price. There are barely 3 tables so it's very basic. But if you crave pure veg, fresh food that tastes like home, certainly recommend it. The owner Manoj Bhai and his wife Bhavika Ben are still working there to ensure we walk out with a satisfaction of a tasty and sumptuous meal. Cheers to this family for their consistency, humility and focus on customer service. It's hard to find these virtues at anaffordable price these days.

Great Gujarati home made style food with a changing vegetable on the daily thali/ combination. Highly recommended especially if you are craving home made Gujarati food.
Great place for home made snacks. I love their gujiya, Mathri, gathiya and namak para. Their roti is fresh off the stove and delicious. I have tried paneer sabji, Thali, Samosa and Chai. Samosa doesn't taste(or look) like the traditional triangle shape but it tastes good. (If you can ignore the name Samosa) Methi Spinach Thepla is great for adults (is spicy) and Gajar Thepla for kids. I think the food could do well with a little less spicy (just a little) Note that it's not in the best of locations with people smoking joints in the parking lot so park safe. The staff is great though, treats you like family.
Good home cooked indian food. Great Parathas, Chole, Sabut Dana Khichdi, Dhokla, Dal's and Sabjis. 4 stars because it has too much Masala for my liking.
Great service and great pizza paratha. Had a thali here once and it was good. Food was homely and not overly creamy or spicy. Its kind of small and cute. Awesome food. Will be back soon.
- The 10 pack rotis were a delight. The best I have got in the Bay Area - Daal Kachori reminded me of India - very authentic - liked their thali, best thali experience ever!
Small place but good food. Not fancy but very simple and homely food. Very hygienic and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen from where I could see. Definitely a place one can eat everyday and stay light on stomach.

I have been going to this place for more than 15 years. My favorite items are chatpat and pizza paratha. I have tried almost everything here and it is authentic and simple. I order churma laddoo and besan laddoo every now and then. Love this place.

Service is great. Not very tasty food but you get what you pay for kind of restaurant. North Indian (Gujarati taste).
Decent food in a no frills setup. Food items in the combo were hit and miss. Despite being a homely atmosphere the food was too spicy for our liking. The staff was friendly, but the service was a little slow.
Tea is good ,food is little spicy. Poha is spicy and little more yellow due to turmeric. Bhaji is super spicy , I think they should work to make it tastier. Pooran poli is good. Pizza paratha is safe order , it is tasty
Ordered VadaPav even the samosa we took were average and wasn't that good a taste. took dry snacks Togo which was good. Good Typical Gujarati dry snacks.
We just had bhel puri , it was too soggy and did not have a great taste. But they do have a lot of food options and also fresh Indian snacks. I may try the food to know if they are actually good

The food is very inconsistent. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes not so good. Some of our friends have extreme opinions about Bhavika. Recently I ordered vada pav and turned out to be not so good. They added some spicy sweet red chutney and vada had only potato with turmeric and little salt. No spices nothing. Very dry and bland. But the vada pav which I ordered before that was really so good and that's why I had come here for the second time. When we had ordered Dhokla from here, it was so bland and dry again. So really depends on how lucky you are.
Hole in the wall, family run restaurant -- serves authentic Gujarati food (ahmedabad style). Not a big fan of the thali served here, but the samosas are quite awesome. Definitely a good place for inexpensive snacks and meals. Best part, food is cooked by family members. Don't expect a fancy ambience, but the person behind the counter is always hospitable and makes one feel comfortable.

Ordered a thali from this place and it was tasteless. All the curries in it were completely bland and lacked salt too. Wouldn’t recommend or order again.
This place doesn't have enough places to dine in. The food we had here was simple roti and subzi. After reaching home my husband and I both had food poisoning, which we strongly believe was due to the dinner we had at Bhavikas.
Wanted to bring group for lunch. Just 3 tables to accommodate about 8 people. Undhiyu as they call- rubbish. No washroom facility so saw people going out to wash hands. Not kids friendly.
We had ordered fafda and Jalebi. Coming from Gujarat, I was thoroughly disappointed with what I got. It lacked flavour and finesse and we did not enjoy it even a little. But I might try a few other items in the future.
The Undhiyo was a huge disappointment. I have never seen a red Undhiyo—it was mushy and tasted more like a Punjabi sabzi than a traditional Gujarati preparation. There was no balance of vegetables, mostly squished eggplants. The Sabudana Khichdi was bland with no salt or spice and overloaded with peanuts. The accompanying yogurt was sour and tasteless. The Puranpoli was just okay, filled with sheera instead of the traditional lentil–jaggery filling with ghee. Overall, the food lacked authenticity and was a complete letdown, especially when ordered with high expectations.

Their food is awful. In no way does their food resemble authentic gujrati cuisine. My husband picked up their thali for dinner, at prime time on a Saturday, and the food was cold, the chapatis as hard as paper plates.
"Pickle" I got at this place went rotten in 3 weeks. Every Indian knows, usually any pickle stays well for at least one year. --------------------------------------------------- I would rather prefer the Indian food truck nearby with amazing food. Woman at the counter made it clear that they don’t want anyone’s business. Owner’s “daughter” was at the counter told me to, I don’t need to buy anything here because I asked questions. Of course I will make my own pickle than buying here. I wanted Pickle and usually get it from here. They usually add dried peas and Kabuli chana so I called in to inquire & spoke with some woman. Decided I would but it and went to the restaurant. The same woman, supposedly owner’s grown “daughter” was at the counter. So very rude and nasty person. Their pickle was in refrigerator which is odd because it can stay out in Indian temperatures for months so what’s happening here. As a customer I’ve right to ask questions but she got offended. I wonder why?! Could there anything wrong with the food or storage?! If I were you, I would not buy if she’s at the counter.
Ordered through Uber Eats. The Pav was completely burnt. Chole gravy was totally water. Puris were as hard as Chapathis. Gulab Jamun was like a stone. Shame on you stealers just throwing garbage at customers, just because it's an online order and they can't question you in person.
Very disappointed with the service. Ordered 4 vada pavs to go and asked for the chutneys on the side (in a container). If the chutneys are not put on the side, then the bread becomes soggy. But to get the chutneys on the side, I was charged one dollar for every vada pav !!!! To be fair, he did tell this to me before making the vada pavs. But this was my wife's request on her birthday and she wanted vada pav on her birthday. Else i would have walked out of the place I don't usually write reviews but this really pissed me off.
Woman at the counter upon asking a question on availability, tried to take back the items we were about to purchase. She said "you have choices" as in don't shop here. So we decided not to. I advise you the same. Why opt for some disrespectful people and stale food?!
Just picked up food and found hair in it. I’ve been going to this place for so long and I wonder how much of this was in my food before.
