Wow didn't expect the food to be this good. I got a dish with some interesting ingredients and they asked if I understood the ingredients. I will try this again. The dish was simply delicious with just a curry and rice. The staffs was nice. I am do not know if this is authentic food but the food isn't commons here and a must try if you like exploring.
Don't let the big menu fool you, this place knows what they're doing. Very friendly staff, very good food, I got a Longsilog and added tocino to it. Garlic rice was very fresh and flavorful, the longanisa was properly juicy, sweet, and savory, and the tocino was nicely glazed, tender, and very flavorful. Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area. Good stuff!!
love their lechonsilog! my wife who's filipino has tried most of their squid dishes but doesn't like them. she loves their tapsilog though and appreciates the owner for always granting her request for a small side of bagoong.
This local hidden gem is a tasty treat. Most would call it a Chinese restaurant although they have a little more than just Chinese food. If you ask the gal who takes your order she will call it a modern interpretation of classic Chinese dishes. The service is always quick and fast. They have some seating inside but most patrons choose takeout or delivery. The Food is always hot and cooked-to-order! I have been eating here for two years and I’ve never been disappointed. This is my favorite Chinese take-out in Sunnyvale!
The corny name of the restaurant and Google Maps' description of the place might have you fooled that this is some mediocre Chinese restaurant, but Magic Wok is actually a gem of a Filipino restaurant. They do right by Pork Sisig here, with all the ooey-gooey gelatinous bits, unlike many of the other Pinoy eateries in the area that just use dry, white meat to cater to locals. It's not everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure, but their Pork Sisig satisfied a craving I've had for good Filipino food ever since I've moved out of Daly City. Portions are also sizable compared to the price, so great value as well. Call me a happy repeat customer.
Lots of great things about this place. They have a really wide menu which includes Chinese food and Philippino food. Menu is in English too. The employee was extremely helpful and polite. The wait wasn’t long. And they labeled all the to go containers so you knew what was what. It’s not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but it’s definitely adequate for your run-of-the-mill Chinese food craving. We’ll be going back. 👍🏻
Friendly, fast service. Foods are always fresh, cooked-to-order so you can request the dish to your needs, requirements. Parking can be a challenge at certain times of the day. They also do delivery, just ask for it.
the breakfast silogs are the best and served all day. can even order tuyo, specially of you dont wantto cook them at home and stink up your house. the owners are chinese family from the Philippines so i feel so at home. the cooking reminds me of home.
I went in person to order takeout and am glad that I did. The woman at the counter was glad to talk about their food and give recommendations to a first time visitor. I didn't need to wait long for my order, was less than 10 min I got the adobe chicken and quite liked it; very flavorful without having any overpowering elements (I was slightly worried about the vinegar being too much). A good introductory dish. In hindsight I would have added on a vegetable side to go with it.
The food and portion are great. The food was really hot(temperature) which is a positive for me. They also have home made limonade in bottle that is delicious. We dine in with family of 4. Will come back.

Honestly the service was nice the lady that took our order and serve us the food was nice . It’s only family owned so I love the fact they’re all their helping their mom which I think the owner . Tbh the sisig was mid like 3/5 I’m very picky when comes to sisig I like flavorful bc it’s one of a Filipino staple dish . My bf had the chicken silog which contains sunny side up eggs , egg fried rice and deep fried chicken wings . The pancit canton I like it was like Chinese style which was delicious with veggies , shrimp and chicken . The lumpia was delicious too . I tried for my drink was the manis con yellow it’s ok . The place is just more just a lil run down but it’s ok to dine in and enjoy a meal . Definitely will come back see what other items to try it was cheap and affordable. Only costed $56 for all this food . I think some things are better than others so definitely check out yelp and look at the popular items on what to get .
This place has always been a favorite spot for lunch. Since covid, they no longer have indoor seating. That said, the Pinoy Breakfast A Pork Tosilog is a must-have. Always go for the double meat option for good measure. Don't forget to use the vinegar they include as it brings out the flavor of the pork and egg yolk!
Great filipino cuisine. I highly recommend their breakfast combo option. I have had it multiple times.

They have pretty good sisig (with the pig ears and cheek). Pancit bihon was meh. Stopped by to pick up some sisig but they're closed for renovations with no date for reopening. They need to update their hours here and on their restaurant website. -1 for service.
The Yuxiang Eggplant is one of the BEST vegetarian dishes I have ever had, at ANY Chinese restaurant. They have a full Chinese and also Filipino food menu. And they will deliver your meal (for a small fee) in the Sunnyvale area. Lydia and her crew are really terrific. I have also had them cater for work events and they are well-received. Only thing preventing 5-stars is that there is no real seating, truly a take-out place.
Great small restaurant. The food tends to be sweeter rather than spicy. The kung pow scallops weren't ver spicy, but their general tsu's chicken is spicy. Luckily they have all the condiments if it is not hot enough for you. Their broccoli in garlic sauce is wonderful. And their hot and sour soup is made the traditional way with traditional ingredients. No button mushrooms in the hot and sour soup! Yay! I'm happy however I tend to have a headache the day after I've eaten there. I think I will next ask if they use MSG or not.

Filipino food that is not that close to home. I ordered Tapsilog (makunat at matabang), it was a bit dry and did not taste like what I am used to. I also ordered Longganisa and man, it’s closer to (a bland) Chinese Chorizo than Filipino Longganisa... cant taste the garlic... For dessert, I ordered their Turon (2pcs of baby turon) more like a banana spring roll drizzled with a little thick liquid sugar and sesame seeds.. not authentic!

As a chef I found the food to be basic and not very flavorful. Was considering using for catering but the quality is simply not there. Value wise I thought it was pricey compared to the quantity. Service was slow and ownership did not seem intetested in the catering business I could bring. May be a while before I eat there again.
Ordered from Uber Eats. I could tell the quality right away by the white rice. Bland , cheap rice with no fragrance is used and that’s never a good sign. Food was extremely bland , absolutely no seasoning and not cooked with love. Oxtail in the Kare kare was tough as rubber. The Beef mechado was alright for what it’s worth. Again though ,no seasoning. Whoever is cooking over there needs to open up the salt shaker. I’m not even being dramatic the food has absolutely no flavor.
DoorDash order from here. I ordered the pork adobo. I received two hunks of pork and 5 hunks of lard. I realize that fat and especially pork fat makes everything taste better but I really wanted some meat to go with the rice. I just unable to enjoy big wads of fat. I also got the Paras and it was much better however the meat was a little tuff but at least there wasn’t any beef fat in it. The rice was perfect and it was hot upon delivery however it was half the size containers from other restaurants.
I have been ordering from them fo almost 5 years Seems like they have new people I asked for.delivery before I could start to order she said it would take 45 min standard then she said hiw many people I told her she said min order is $50 ok I spend that overtime then ahe said can you call back Horrible service
