Opinions de Siam Taste Sunnyvale
The best noodles I have ever had from a Thai restaurant, flavor is jus perfect and the duck is so tender and tasty! Will for sure come back many times!
Siam Taste: Homey Thai with a Kick Siam Taste offers a cozy ambiance with friendly service and delicious Thai food. It's a great choice for a casual team dinner, especially if you have people with varying spice tolerances. Their outdoor seating is a plus for sunny days. I recently tried their chicken roti taco, which was fantastic. I'll definitely be back for another one! Just be warned, their spice levels are no joke. Level 5 is scorching – opt for level 3 or below if you're not a spice aficionado.
This is one of our go-to Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale. It's unassuming inside, but the service was fast and very attentive. We didn't get rushed even though it was near closing time. Their food is consistently tasty, with several spicy levels. This last visit we shared a small tom ka (coconut) soup and pad kee mao (drunken noodles) at spice level 2. Both are delicious, and it was just enough for us two ladies
Went to lunch with the old friend here and lunch was great the chicken was off the hook in the appetizer with the peanut sauce was something I’ve never had before. I think next time I will bring my wife and sister because they love Thai food the most. I think this is the best Thai food I have ever experienced. I also had a great milkshake Thai style T that was so good. Next time I go I’ll definitely come right after the lunch rush. I told my friend that I love the chicken and that the next time he brings me I hope he’ll order the same thing for me the menu was quite extensive and I had to pick out things with his help
Fresh coconut water was delicious. It wasn’t tender so couldn’t enjoy the coconut. Crispy catfish was very good. Spice level 5 was perfect. Combination sampler had good variety for starters. Desserts- fried banana with mango icecream and sweet mango & sticky rice was amazing. Overall very happy with the quality and service. The server also showed great enthusiasm to take our groups photos
I have been eating here for the past 2 years. Hands down one of the best Thai food places in Sunnyvale. My go to favourites are the Tom Yum noodle soup (highly recommend), lamb curry noodles, pad Thai and the mango sticky rice. The food is great and food proportions for the price are great. Highly recommend checking this place!

Delicious food and excellent service! This is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Sunnyvale. We ordered the Thai Massaman curry and Yellow Curry Fried Rice—both were packed with rich, authentic flavors. The Massaman curry, in particular, had a beautifully balanced flavor profile that was absolutely perfect. Loved every bite! The service was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.

This restaurant in Sunnyvale downtown has clearly stood the test of time. We dropped in a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch and had a pretty good meal. The service was quick and the outdoor seating was comfortable. We were with another family who ordered only vegetarian dishes, and they were happy too. We tried the Veggie appetizer platter, the Roti Prata, the Crab Fried Rice, and the Pad Kee Mao. The roti prata was a minor disappointment since it tasted more like the frozen kind than something made fresh, but everything else was tasty and served hot. The crab fried rice was excellent. There are plenty of good Thai places in the South Bay now, but if you are in the historic Sunnyvale downtown area, this one is worth a shot.
A nice restaurant in sunnywale downtown. We had delicious shrimp creep, red curry and shrimp with sticky rice and jasmine rice. Food was fresh, tasty, served hot. Price and quantity ratio is not met. Can improve in serving the quantity of food.
Nice place to enjoy flavour and tasty thailand food, full of original spices. The place have indoor or outdoor seating
This restaurant has a very unassuming decor but the food tastes real good. Pungent and full of flavor! Even the brown rice was delicious! Will come again! Note to vegetarians: it’s not on the menu but they do have tofu as a protein option.
I ordered the Green curry with prawns at a spice level of 3. Definitely spicy but still enjoyable. The curry was pretty good. Staff were extremely friendly and even made a baby safe portion too.

The food is pricier compared to some of the other Thai places I’ve had in the Bay, but I guess that’s expected because of the location. Overall pretty solid Thai food. The waitress was really nice and even brought out water for my dog!
Had a good lunch at Siam Taste the other day. I don’t recall if there was a lunch special menu but the two of us ended up getting three dishes ala carte. Spring rolls with shrimp as appetizers. Man these were plump and big! Comes with six pieces and dipping sauce. Pretty good, especially if you like fresh mint leaves flavor. Next dish was Penang curry I believe. Or some kind of curry anyway. Tasty sauce but could have used a bit more chicken. Also a little thick for me. And it wasn’t served hot enough (temperature, not spice). Final dish was broccoli and beef. This was a unique one for me as I’m used to the Chinese version and this definitely had a different type of sauce/flavor. Again very thick sauce and was kind of lukewarm temperature. The service was good. The place was old but clean. Pleasant. They service food on nice dishware. Three dishes plus tax and tip was pretty expensive over $70 for a weekday lunch with only water to drink. This kind of drove my star rating.
Tom kha had a very little veggies. Noodles were okay. Overall food tasted okay. Not as great as in some other places though. Vegetarian options without eggs are available.
Expensive for the taste. Basil fried rice didn't seem fresh. Drunken noodles were delicious. Mango sticky fried rice was decent, not great.

Visited on a Friday night after a movie. Eatery was cozy and waiter was attentive refilling our waters. Food was okay - my friend had drunken noodles and I had yellow curry. I state it was okay as the best Thai I've had is in Rocklin, CA (yes, I drive all the way up there for this restaurant across the street from Sierra College) and am still in search of a great Thai place in Sunnyvale. Yellow curry had too much crunchy onion for my taste versus a good balance of potato and carrots. I also prefer onions cooked all the way in curry versus crunchy. As I mentioned to my friend - onion is not a vegetable in my book, it should be an enhancer. Her drunken noodles were okay as she mentioned she's used to more flavorful. I took her drunken noodle leftover home since it wasn't outstanding...it was just okay. With that said, we felt it was overpriced for the quality. Looks like I'll be driving to Rocklin President's day weekend for a well balanced, hearty yellow curry with vegetables and fully cooked onions.
I can’t believe how bad this place is! It was quite empty when we walked in but we were hungry and craving Thai so we stopped here. Ordered a vegetarian stir fry, panang curry, green curry and cod wrapped in banana leaf. Everything was so spicy and hit our throat though we consistently ordered a level 3. The green curry was not palatable and basically the taste was subpar. Also, came out to 18$ per person. Also, the service staff was quite rude. The only way you can get “goodthaifood” in this place is if you connect to the WiFi because that’s the password for their WiFi. Would not recommend.

I ordered 6 dishes to go for a party, and was very disappointed with 5 out of 6. The 3 Pad See Ew dishes tasted not fresh and bland. Two basil stir-fry dishes were too spicy to eat, even though we ordered 3 out of 10 spiciness level (online). I had this dish in the past, they seemed to have changed chef/recipe, or didn’t read the online order carefully. The good: Pad Thai was tasty. And the takeout order was prepared promptly. I don’t eat Thai food often, but next time I am in the mood, I will try a different place (sad to say)

One of the worst meals ever. The food was tasteless and just spicy. I didn't think one could make green curry so bad. The place was empty and it should have been obvious why. No flavor and just heat. The service was poor. Didn't get is water or come even once to check on us. The head server kept sneezing and wiping his nose on the sleeve of his shirt while bringing water. And then blew his nose with his fingers and then proceeded to serve. Yuck

It’s not good. They don’t meet a good ratio of price, quantity, and quality. The corn cakes were fine but not worth $16 since each small corn cake is $4. That dish should be closer to $10. The angel wings were sliced and when it was served it was lukewarm and no longer hot. The yellow curry tasted fine but not good enough to justify being $20 and it doesn’t include rice. The eggplant curry tasted bitter and was not worth $20 and also does not include rice. I don’t plan on eating here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone else.

The food is so bad. Thai tea tastes like water. Their "sticky rice" is a cold clump of tasteless mass and their banana wrapped cod is rubbery.
