Great food at a great price. The all you can eat sushi is well worth the price. Service was great and it was very quick and friendly. Definitely a must go to place.

This was my first time. My son and I met my parents for lunch. We enjoyed our Sushi boat. The presentation was like a piece of art. The service was fast. I’ll be returning with my both my boys.

I am gluten free and they are well versed on what is gluten free. They also changed the base of the soup i ordered so it was gluten free. We had the lunch special which was 3 rolls and soup or salad for 11 dollars. I picked spicy salmon, spicy tuna and boston. They were delicious!

If you have a large group definitely order ahead. They have an all you can eat special on sushi for $30. Would definitely recommend. Beware: the bathroom is ice cold.

Our favorite place for Sushi! Always fresh and the wait staff is darling. The jasmine tea Is a nice compliment to the meal. Try the new menu item Curry Chicken for a sushi alternative. You won’t be disappointed.

Went for all you can eat Sushi and it included the whole menu. Sushi was terrific as was other food I sampled. My wife had a Salmon dish that was excellent also. Fair price for the meal. Service was excellent.

I'm so sorry I didn't take pictures! It was absolutely beautiful display of food. Wait time was not long at all. Came in on a Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. Linda was amazing. Very funny and social. I can't complain about anything. Perfect evening. Thank you so much for your service :)

Service was great! Good was delicious! Unique Asian experience. They bring your all you can eat to your table. It's like a buffet without the buffet. You order from a check off list and the waitresses bring it to you. I would definitely recommend eating here!

Outstanding!! Good was perfectly prepared. It was as good as what I have experienced on Long Island. The young waitresses were very cute, warm and they were very talkative for their young age. Price was appropriate for the meal and servings were generous.

You'll definitely want to try the seafood and crab soups! Also the hibatch rice!

Review is based on the AYCE menu. Very good quality sushi. Nice selection of regular and special rolls. Hot food also had good variety and it was made to order. Admittedly, it took them a little while to prepare the sushi, but the presentation was lovely and it tasted delicious. Unfortunately, no dessert on their AYCE menu (they used to have it at their old location).

Patient and friendly staff were happy to explain the buffet ordering system and were very attentive. Great atmosphere for a family outing or date night with orchestral covers of pop songs in the background. Excellent sushi!

My first time here and I loved the food

L

Went for sushi with a girlfriend. They offer half-price sushi rolls Monday through Thursday. We each got five rolls (including one special roll), and with tip, paid $16 each! But the food was delicious! The mango roll was super tasty. None of the rolls were disappointing. The atmosphere was family friendly, but quiet enough for a date night. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not pushy. Our waitress was helpful in selecting different rolls from what we normally eat. Planning on going back very soon.

My friend came up to visit for the weekend and was in the mood for sushi. We came here and most definitely met expectations. The all you can eat was well priced, the food came out quickly and tasted very good. Will be dining in again

When busy and ordering all-you-can-eat sushi it is kinda of a long(er) wait time for your order. But the wait time is surely argued by a delicious presentation of a sushi plate. My daughter always enjoys her order of beef soup. Love this place. It's clean, cozy, with very welcoming wait staff. Well worth the money.

I have been coming here for a long time now and every single time I have been here it has been a wonderful experience. It's a family-run business in the whole family's involved. It's has a very casual relaxed, low stress atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and the food is very good as well as reasonably priced. The only thing I could say is bad is they are often out of something when it comes to sushi and and they normally do not have anything too exotic but at their prices that is more than fair. Also they make some delicious Crab Rangoon!

C
Cameron Whipple

Love this place. The Sushi is always fresh. Love the authentic Shrimp Pad Tia. The all you can eat meal gives some wonderful choices of appetizers, noodle dishes, and of course Fredh handmade Sushi. Staff is very friendly and accommodating with my Autistic sons limited menu. Our family goes at least once every couple weeks.

So much food. So much. I always eat until I am ready to explode when I go here, and I never have any regrets. The sushi is good. Not amazing, but definitely way higher quality than you would believe from an all you can eat place. Note that the sushi is made when you order it, so it isn't just sitting around getting salmonella. Also, their crab ragoons are worth the price alone. Service is occasionally slow. I would definitely recommend going at lunch both to beat the crowd and take advantage of the cheaper pricing.

Best value in the greater Syracuse area for Asian cuisine. Sushi, appetizers and entrees were professionally prepared and came out fresh, each bursting flavor. The family-oriented style of the business makes for a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, which offers a unique sense of belonging that you would rarely find at other traditional sit-down eateries. As a visitor to the Syracuse area, I would recommend this to future travelers making a stop and encourage the locals to take advantage of this world-class establishment whenever Asian night comes up in their weekly food rotation.

$22.95 all you can eat sushi, and it's not trash sushi, but honestly my new favorite in the area. I went here for my birthday and two weeks later for my Partner's birthday. Firudo is amazing. This sushi is SO FRESH. I almost didn't want to review lest it gets too busy here and I can't get a table, but I couldn't do Firudo like that. I'll be back.

M
Marilyn Yeager

I went with my two grandchildren 8 and 6 y.o. The staff was very accommodating. They love Sushi but I did not know what to order. For $12.95 each they got unlimited food. I think this is a special on Wed. They both ate 18 rolls. They made me Pad Thai which was great. I don't think it was on the menu. Huge menu.

Best value in town. Sushi quality has improved over the years. We usually do the all-you-can-eat option, but not always. Whichever you choose, you will be happy

Very friendly staff. Great quality food with comfy family atmosphere. Sushi took a while to prepare but was made to order and worth the wait. Appatizers soups and salads were also available while waiting. Very fair prices for what we got.

The sushi here is top notch. Coming on the weekend for the buffet you really can't go wrong. The only thing I can't speak for is the hibachi, simply because I've never ordered it, but I'm sure it's fantastic like everything else. Food comes out fast and accurate even when it is packed. They always accommodate my girlfriend who has food allergies, and we've never had to stab her with an epipen, the attention to detail is much appreciated. If you want sushi in Syracuse, this is the place to go.

Great restaurant. They've been in the area for some time now and the high quality of the food never fails to impress. Whether eating from the all you can eat menu or the regular menu, it's all certain to please the palate. Sushi and hot plates will both make sure you leave satisfied.

I deliver for Firudo often, and I'm always impressed with the level of care they take to make and package their food. The owner is very involved in the dining room, and even makes sure things go smoothly at the pick up counter. If you want an excellent eating experience and really good food, this is definitely a place to go.

Linda is always very gracious her and her daughters and the food is always very fresh. I really like going there for you that all you can eat buffet I remember when they used to be in a different location and it was always fabulous. Blown away by how delicious everything we ordered was! A friend suggested we go and I suggested another in town. We went to mine first and then his another day…. Night and day difference. Firudo’s food was sooo fresh and delicious, the place is immaculate and the value is phenomenal. It’s 5 days later and I am still thinking about it! Salad, fried rice, each and every sushi was made to perfection! Taking my wife tonight, excited for her to experience this meal.

By far my favorite restaurant to, not only get high quality sushi, but enjoy a classy and peaceful meal. I love walking in the door to see smiling faces and enjoy fresh sashimi while watching the latest anime on my phone. Grade A experience that I would recommend everytime!

I'm updating this from 5 years ago. This has become my favorite restaurant in Syracuse. The sushi is always fresh, the food is always hot, and everything is always delicious. Any poor reviews about the service seem to expect this small family run business to be able to perform like a big chain restaurant. Sure, they may not be checking on you every 2 minutes like other places, but if you get their attention and ask for something, they will get it immediately. That's worth the best Japanese food I've found in Syracuse. 5 years ago: We wanted to venture out and try a new restaurant and drove past this place. I'm so glad we stopped! Everything we ate was delicious, and they were very accommodating of our messy 9 month old and picky 3 year old. Plus, the staff were nice and the music and atmosphere were pleasant. And the fried ice cream was the perfect ending to the meal. We'll definitely be coming back!

Came here for dinner. Maki rolls were wrapped nicely and their hand rolls were uncut rolls vs cone like. Apps and side dishes came hot and fresh. Service was a bit slow but I’ll be coming back.

Lovely place. Smells so good inside. Art and lighting are perfect for a calm meal. Waitress was very helpful and swift. Food was lovely, sashimi was fresh and perfect bite sized. Godzilla roll was favorite hands down, very crunchy and savory. Had a great birthday meal, plan on returning.

This place was an absolute delight. For myself and my 2 boys (ages 9 and 5) to do the all you can eat option was $45 with tip. You can eat not only sushi but choose from a plethora of different menu options including noodles for picking eaters. I wasn’t expecting the food to taste as good as it did with this option. I highly recommend the orchard roll. We will definitely be going back!

Personal biad but firudos is an amazing stop in syracuse, the food is very good not perfect but really decent and the all you can eat buffet is a must. No better spot to get sushi than firudos. I cant vouch for the regular menu food but do not delay if you love sushi, firudos is the spot!

Went on a Friday night and had a very nice experience! A lot more selections on the menu in the restaurant. As we were looking at the menu the server asked us if we had any questions regarding the food choices in the menu. They were very patient with us. My friend's salad came out quickly and so did our soups. Within 10 minutes our food was served. My friend and I both had sushi and it was delicious! We plan on going back again.

Absolutely love the place, clean and comfortable environment, a great deal on cook to order sushi, appetizers and rice and noodles mains is the big draw here but so many delicious options on the menu my family has only been twice but there's still plenty to try next time. A family friendly atmosphere but has a nice bar lounge seating area as well right close to the tvs playing news or fun dramas, or cultural TV programs. The staff are so nice and friendly. Its an easy ordering process for the all you can eat special, using paper order slips.

The all you can eat sushi deal is the bees knees! The sushi tasted fresh and came out promptly each time. There was a big selection of rolls/sashimi to choose from and also hot items you could order as part of the deal. The service and atmosphere were also great. I would definitely be back!

This place hands down best all you can eat sushi I ever had. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. Never had an issue with the food or service here. Never tried their ala carte stuff since all you can eat sushi is always the way to go. Moved out of cuse a few years ago but this is always one of my first stops when I visit.

Gluten free options and all I can eat. You can't go wrong here. There is also a full menu. The service is fast and friendly. The rolls are made to order but come out super quick. This place is good for an individual or a group when that's allowed again after 1984 is over. Highly recommended. This is probably the fastest place for sushi I have been to.

Love this place. Everyone has to try the "all you can eat", at least once. Items on the list change from time to time, however the staples remains. Great combinations for the chef created rolls. Also there is a great menu for those that don't want all you can eat.

H

3 stars for food, four stars for service. Family-owned business, the girls did an amazing taking orders, clearing tables and delivering food. Very responsive, OnPoint service. At the all you can eat buffet. Lots of options for hot food and appetizers, great selection of sushi and sashimi. Fish was fresh. Would definitely be back.

Went for the all you can eat sushi menu. You pick the items you want from the menu and they bring them out family style on your table. It isn't only sushi. You can choose from a variety of other Japanese dishes like tempura and Katsu. It's a very unique restaurant. I would recommend it. The dishes were very good.

F
Fred Ringwald

Good fixed price for all you can eat sushi, sashimi, tempura, other Asian dishes. Several servers do not have good English skills, but are courteous. Ordering is via paper slips, so weak server English skills is not a problem in most cases, and other employees with strong English skills are available to help. Food is good to excellent, subject to availability and the menu selections. Good value, which demonstrates how over priced sushi is in many restaurants.

We had an amazing night they were very curious and came by our table often we ordered many sushi and sushami my favorite was the yellow fin tuna with jalaleno! It melted in my mouth! So delicious! I was never a fan of sushi because I never had it at a good restaurant but this has surely changed my mind! And I will come back for all you can eat on wed.!😁

J
Jim Lee

The place seem cluttered but other than that food was 5 star top notch and waitreses who i dont spoke english were excellent and very attentive. Sushi roll, soup, and the tuna Sushi were definitely authentic. No idea what was in the soup but i highly recommend it. I would go back if in the area and the prices are very affordable especially considering the quality of food.

K
Kelli Betts

Food is DELICIOUS! The all you can eat is well worth the money. The only reason for a star off is the customer service is a bit lacking. They weren't rude they just seemed indifferent like they weren't sure how to interact with us. We will definitely be returning!

C
C Horn

We seem to pick odd times to come here, late afternoon and it's almost always quiet. Really have anything The servers are always pleasant. We used to only get bento boxes but nearly everything in them is deep fried so we've also tried hibachi. It's all very good. Even the deep fried is really good. The tempura vegetables change time to time depending on what's available. My daughter's favorite is the tempura sweet potato. We love the salad with the carrot ginger dressing. We really wanted to try the deep fried ice cream last time but they were out of it. This is one of our, "hey let's grab some lunch" spots. Prices are reasonable, especially the lunch specials and appetizers - which are big enough for me for lunch.

A

Great food and awesome staff! You won't be disappointed with the menu they have some of the best sushi in town and the rest of the menu falls in line as well. I only wish they had seating that was more separated or walled off from each other but that is more personal preference.

B
BA Newton

Love this place the have the absolute best sushi. For incredible prices (when they are open for dine in). The service is great looks like it is family owned bc there are like 2-3 young girls who help. If you order pick up order a combo otherwise it is really expensive.

P
Patricia Roy-Petrick

Went here with a friend while visiting from out of town. The maki choices were so good it was hard to decide. The food came out quickly and looked fantastic. It tasted even better. My only complaint was that the server never came to check how things were and once they brought the check they never came back. I wanted a refill on my drink, but they never came over.

C

Firudo Asian Food & Bar, it was a fantastic dining experience. The food was authentic and full of flavor, with highlights like the sushi rolls and miso soup. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the sushi was beautifully presented. I also tried their teriyaki chicken, which was tender and perfectly glazed. The atmosphere was modern and stylish, with a relaxed vibe. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a great overall experience

The food was delicious! The building was freezing though... I didn't take off my coat or gloves. I will go back once it's warmer out since it's likely a heater issue in the building.

It was very cold inside to eat in. Food was good soup wasn't my favorite. I won't be going back. Bring cash, they charged extra to use your credit card. That turned us off!!

R L

While I would go back, this all-you-can-eat sushi place is just okay. I've had both buffet and made-to-order all-you-can-eat sushi before, so I have a lot to compare it to. This spot isn't an exceptional one, but it's not bad either. A few things could be improved, including the soy sauce, hand rolls, sushi variety, and credit card fee. The soy sauce didn't taste like a high-quality brand, and the ponzu sauce was watered down. The hand rolls were a cigar shape instead of the traditional cone shape, which isn't my preference. I also was disappointed that there was no octopus or squid available on the all-you-can-eat menu, though I was happy to see sashimi included. The cuts of sashimi were small, but since it's all-you-can-eat, you can just order more. The final issue I noticed was the 4% credit card surcharge. This is illegal in New York, and there are legal ways to recover this fee. Please comply with New York State law.

R
Richard Grant

New to the area. Based on the reviews, I stopped into this place for lunch. The food was okay, but it wasn't the best sushi/sashimi I've ever had. At first I couldn't figure out what was wrong, It didn't taste bad, but then as I was eating a piece of sashimi and having to really chew it, I realized that was the problem: it was too chewy. Usually when I get good sushi/sashimi it practically melts in my mouth, not here. The sashimi in particular was cut very thick. The spicy tuna rolls were somewhat mushy and the sushi was just okay. I did enjoy the gyoza dumplings I had as an appetizer. They were quite fresh. I'm not saying I would never go back, but I'll try other places first.

B
Barry Boucher II

The wait time for our food was long... very long. Our waitress seemed like she didn't really want to be at work. One of two entrees was not what was actually ordered. All of this being said, the food was actually quite good - good enough to save this place from the 1 star review it would have otherwise gotten.

T
Travis Cobb

We had dinner, my wife and I. It feels still under construction as far as the interior goes. My wife had a chicken dish that was decent with miso soup and I did sushi. The sushi was good, just limited as far as roll selection goes. I'd return to do the all you can eat sushi however not for a dinner date with my wife.

d
david hollis

Food was good! The service sucked! There was only 2 servers on for the whole place. Never got my drink refilled. And waited 15-20 for appetizers.

C
Cameron Dale MacQuarrie

The sushi is good. For ~$23 you can do the 'all-you-can-eat' option which includes sushi, appetizers, soup, salad, noodles, and select entrees. It is a really great deal! If you eat at least 2 special rolls you've probably saved money going with this option. Friendly people and a large dining area. Unfortunately my partner and I once ordered the ramen and both fell ill the next day.

S
Stephen Halton

Recently went here for a business dinner. I love sushi and so does my business partner. I thought this might be a fun idea, but also kept my expectations low. Anything that is all you can eat won't be as good as others. The wait staff was nice, drinks came fast. The sushi and other items listed in the all you can eat were decent. I've had some better, but I've also had a lot worse. One recommendation that I have if you are going here the first time, remember what you order. There was a lot of confusion because with 4 people (two who have hardly ever had sushi before) the wait staff don't remember what you order, so sometimes we had no idea what anything was or who it was going to. Also, keep in mind that when they are busy it's going to take a while. Was this best sushi experience? No. Will I go back?? Absolutely!

I have been a regular at Firudo for years now. The food has always been great but I don’t know what happened with the service today. I felt like I was rushed out the second I was done eating. It’s 3:45pm on a Wednesday and no one is here. I understand, I didn’t order a second round of the buffet but I would have like time to finish my drink at least. My food had been done for a few minutes and was not very hot when I received it. 😕

S
Shnazzy None

This place was absurd. First, food is insanely overpriced. Service near nonexistent. Food, just okay. For the prices you should get more than okay. They sat us near a cooler with sake in it... then told us there was no hot sake. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT THE SAKE IN HOT WATER! Sushi fell apart because somehow they don't know how to make sticky rice as a sushi place. Half the menu items attempted to be ordered weren't actually orderable. This fails every test of a good sushi place. AVOID!

B
Briana TAYLOR

Absolutely love the food, extreme downfall is that the child waitress doesn't give you the opportunity to eat it. Stood over my shoulder talking about pointless things and "upcoming" menu items....... from the time the food came up until we got up to leave. Not only was she right over my shoulder talking, she was tapping me and my chair repeatedly. Not a fun experience when already trying to juggle food and small children of my own. Sad part is that it happens EVERY time we go & she's there.

D
Danielle Austin

Very slow service. Waitress wont refill waters unless asked and no one comes to check on the table. Youd have to wave them down. Got the all you can eat which would be great if we had someone to take our orders and keep them coming. Would have given more stars for the food if the service wasnt terrible!

M
M C

Service was very disorganized. I waited 30 minutes for my food, and my friend waited and additional 30 minutes never got theirs because the order ticket was lost. Only two people were running the whole restaurant. The food was good, but expect long wait time and possible service issues.

E
Edmund Roronoa

Placed a Togo order online 30 minutes out. It was a nice and simple experience. I called to confirm but no one answered. The place was filthy. Dead mice in the stagnant mess of an old pond. When I arrived they made me pay. After I finished paying they informed me my order has not been received which is weird because my receipt was printed before I arrived. Sushi was the worst I have ever had. Wasn't terrible but definitely was not appetizing. First time I have ever thrown sushi away. The gyoza was really good!

J
Joshua Jaiman

My family and I have been coming here faithfully for 3yrs. Up until now, the only problem I've had, is the occasional frozen sashimi, bathrooms that are also frozen and a waitress/youngest daughter that's so talkative that she won't let you eat until you hear every last word she has to say. Though my last visit on 03/10/24, made my family and I never want to come here again. We were about 30mins into being at the restaurant, and our food started coming out. We always order Katsu of some kind, this time it was chicken. My wife is eating the katsu, and serving some to our 3yr old, when she's lifts a piece, and all of a sudden she realizes it's attached to the other pieces. Lo and behold, there is a long gray hair fried into the katsu. My wife instantly gets sick and runs to the bathroom and begins vomiting loud enough you can hear it in the restaurant. As I look down into my bowl of spicy tuna, I realize, there is another hair, this time it appears to be an eyelash, sticking out between 2pieces of tuna. I brought it to the attention of one of the older daughters/waitresses, and she looked quite disgusted. We ate nothing but maybe a few pieces of food. I mean but they gave us a 10% discount for our troubles, and still had to pay $52 for food we didn't eat! Never eating here again!

M
Mike Lombardo

Young waitress seemed overwhelmed so she came across as bothered. I like that the food was separated by what we ordered. We did not have to figure out who ordered what. The food was good. When we asked for our check, the waitress stated a 4% charge will be added to the bill. That charge was not stated anywhere before we sat down to eat. Mind you, there were only two of us and we had eaten all the sushi we had ordered and we hadn't ordered much. We were very disappointed with this out of place charge.

T
Teresa U.

Restrooms were badly maintained. Leaky toilet. Broken toiler paper roll dispenser. No paper towels. No hand dryer. . Food was okay. Fish was fresh but the rice was not well made. Rolls were small. The Miso soup was plain, but had good flavor. Service was slow. The tea was good but only had 2 small tea cups of hot tea. Luke warm by the 3 cup. Yes I have definitely had better food in Cortland. Who would've thought. Wegmans ....I would recommend their sushi before this place. At least, the one in Ithaca.

E
Erin Bergold

Service was absent most of the time, rude the rest. The place had an off odor and the food was ok at best. We waited for an extremely long time just to have the order taken and the sushi rolls weren't the same size despite costing the same per roll. The beef hibachi was overcooked. We had the feeling of turning around the moment we walked in and should have done so. The food quality would've been high for less money at a typical sushi place. Will not be back.

I normally avoid leaving bad reviews because I feel bad but this place was honesty pretty bad, there was just about nobody in the place the entire time I was there, I got the all you can eat, price was pretty reasonable $30 after tax (paid cash, heard complaints ab credit card fees) issue was the food was straight up bad. I tried 7 different rolls and some of the food options, none were good. The wait staff had 0 other tables, My water was refilled once (empty for a half hour) the food was about 15 minute wait (somewhat reasonable) however one of the rolls i ordered just never came. They only stopped by my table twice to get my order, could have definitely eaten more but the food simply wasn’t good and i had to get up from my table to talk to the host to get anything done. Waited an hour and a half from finishing my last plate to finally getting up and getting the staff for the check. Less than 5 words spoken by the waitresses. Pretty bad food and pretty bad service. Seems like a family place with peoples kids working so i tipped 20% but I will certainly not be returning and i’d recommend you don’t go either

We stopped by to try this place out. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The place didnt seem to have heat, my family and I had to wear out winter jackets the whole meal. The prices really didn't match the quality or atmosphere. We dont plan to return.

Waste of time and money. Can’t believe they told us that for every credit card transaction, we’ll be charged 4.5% extra of what we’ve ordered. Who the heck carries cash ???? Other than that, moderate asian food. And this not your regular sushi place but just a place where you can order sushi. Simply horrible!!

Sushi was very fishy in a bad way and I bit into a spine in the salmon, gyoza was cold and mushy. Hibachi was very very salty. We saw the waitress make salads with her hands and touch her phone a million times in between. Also charged a credit card fee that is not posted anywhere. They just wrote it on the credit slip.

I’m honestly surprised how this place can get above an average of 4-stars. First of all, before you consider coming here, I just want to say that I’ve came here on multiple occasions, and during multiple times, I’ve had a terrible experience. The first time, they purposely understaffed their cooks so it took 50 minutes for the food to come out, even though the restaurant was practically empty. The second time, they enforced a gratuity charge of 18% even though they just neglected us most of the time and I had to get up multiple times to serve myself. The third time, the owner herself (and yes I hope you’re reading this) told me they limit the number of sashimi a single person can eat (for All-you-can-eat). This is preposterous and false advertisement! I’ve never been to an AYCE where they forcefully tell you that you have a restriction. This place is a scam. They also use their own children for free labor, which I’m sure it’s illegal and it goes unreported. I really think the IRS need to audit this place.

I have always enjoyed Firudo. However, lately their customer service and meal quality have been sub-par. The staff answering the phone do not have manners or respect for their customers. As a frequent diner, I expect to be treated with respect. The last meal I ordered came incorrectly and they manager refused to cooperate when I called to let them know. The staff was very immature by hanging up while I was speaking, putting me on hold and never returning, ignoring my phone calls, and seeming like their mistake was not their problem. Not only was it steak instead of salmon, but there were 6 piece of dried-up, cold meat. I refused to pay for an additional meal and the manager and staff fought me and shouted at me during our conversations. The current staff and managers are not equipped with interpersonal skills or decision making strategies necessary for running a business. The organization is very unorganized. Employees are rude and immature. I do not plan on dining with Firudo in the future.

Service 0 the food quality was awful. They never asked for my needs it was very difficult to get their attention it's like they didn't care. When and if you pay card they charge an extra 4%. When I order the roasted duck ramon instead of duck meat I got bones. The bathrooms were unexpectable and indescribably dirty. You can get dirty just by the air. Nothing can make me come back to this place.

I have never been treated more poorly than I had last week. The owner of Firudo is a terror. I was enjoying our "all you can sushi" with my friends, until the owner said that we could not order anymore sushi. I was surprised, since you go to "All You Can Eat" to eat a ton. The final roll was served to us with no fish, as she ordered her chef to refuse to make us anymore sushi. Following the meal I approached her and asked her why. She started going on a 5 minute rant pointing out our receipt, saying that we ordered too much. I was going to give this place 5 stars, but after this tirade I will never set food in Firudo again.

Very very overpriced and the food was not impressive the soup was awful and the child working told me “eat the noodles at least”. We ordered one round of the all you can eat and the child was telling us when we were “done” eating so we didn’t have to pay $9.99lb plus the $26 per person. The service was just terrible and they didn’t care. An owner and bartender walking around with no mask. Never again!

Extremely rude owner. Uses her young children as waitresses (Even running the bill) and attempted to charge us extra because our kids got full and couldn’t eat all the rice. She then berated us for not ordering sashimi instead and used a very loud, raised voice in the restaurant. It was an unpleasant experience and we shall not be returning any time soon.

Never have I been to a restaurant where I get like a child...someone coming around every ten minutes telling me I have to clean my plate so I don’t have to pay the extra 9.99$ a pound of what’s left over. First off they shouldn’t bring everything out at once like come around see our progress then bring out the next plate. Also it would have been nice if they told us what it was they brought out for us instead of just putting the plate down and walking away. Several people didn’t have masks on ITS A PANDEMIC.....my god. Never going there again

Spring 2023Decor and feel was like a cafeteria in high school . Staff was pleasant and friendly. Food was great sushi was excellent and the accommodations for allergies was good! I didn’t like that customers went into the service cooler and grabbed there own salad and , dressings and their fingers in the apparent soup area . Or helping themselves for free drinks . Update fall 2023 Went back as we enjoyed the experience months ago this time the sushi was not good. Avocado roll was rotten , pad Thai was horrible , the waitress never came back to see how the food was so I asked for the check so we could go . The place smelled and the credit card fee is ridiculous!! It should be on their menu stating that or a sign where it is visible. I was so shocked I didn’t tip the 20 percent I always do . Unfortunately we won’t be back . And it is not the credit card company you can add in the price very clear on your menus !!!

tl/dr up front: Terrible service, horrific wait times for VERY sub-par food that wasn't even prepared properly. Went in with a group. We place our orders no problem. The food started coming about a half hour later in sporadic groups, sometimes 1 plate, sometimes 4. The waitress seemed confused if the food she was bringing was even for our table. It took us 2 hours for my wife to get her food. I ordered 3 things, got 2, and didn't push because it was taking so long to get food I didn't want to be there all night. I did end up getting a bun from the soup/salad bar while I waited for my food. It was obviously store bought, stale bun, and the whole thing was cold like it wasn't heated all the way up in the microwave. My food was a massive disappointment. I got my sushi, which was bland but passable for a gas station, but the "star" was the shrimp fried rice. No vegetables. No egg. Just rice and shrimp that had been fried in soy sauce. It was somehow overcooked but served lukewarm. There were chunks of rice, some of which didn't even see soy sauce. I also think the shrimp was bad because a few hours after I got home my body started trying to.purge itself (which is why I'm writing this at 5am, I've been hardly able to sleep).

AVOID. I would give zero stars if possible but I had to select atleast one for the review. Ate here for dinner 1/27/22. Let’s talk about the food first. The crab salad was so old that the top layer was crunchy and hard. Awful. The remaining salad dressing available for the green salad was all dried up, so I didn’t even try to get a salad; there were only two salads left anyways, which were quickly taken for to go orders and not replaced (salads are self-serve). The sushi is mediocre at best -not worth the cost. Service was horrendous. I was a server when I was younger, and I actually told my husband to not tip at all. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. We only tipped the sushi chefs. After being seated, our “waitress” eventually just gave us sheets to fill out for the sushi orders and walked away. She did not greet us nor ever ask for our drink orders. Once we asked her, she did take our drink order and brought them. We had to ask for plates, soy sauce dishes, etc. I tried to get her attention and she would blatantly ignore and go to the back. I think this place is only still in business because there is a lack of other sushi buffet options in the area. The service seemed terrible for all other customers as well, I saw the other tables looking around for awhile and going to get their own papers to order. We will never go back. Save yourself the money and get better sushi elsewhere. Koto in Destiny USA is definitely better overall.

So… called in first and asked if they limit the sashimi on the all you can eat sushi and girl said “ well we don’t limit to 10 pcs anymore but if u get close to eating a whole salmon they will cut you off” When I got there the waitress said that’s not true ,, still limited on the sashimi and sushi to 10 pcs, unlimited on the rolls. They do this so they can load you up on rice , rice is cheap. I opted to order the AYCE anyway. Fish was fresh but sashimi pcs were tiny ! Miso soup was horrible and tasted nothing like miso soup . Beer was 5.00 a bottle 😵‍💫 Rolls were good but mostly rice. Service and wait time were good. As others stated , they don’t tell you until time to pay that they add 4 percent when using CC. They should post or tell you first . You leave full but again it’s mostly rice so for almost 30.00 PP and then limiting you on the sushi and sashimi they shouldn’t call it all you can eat . I may try it once more just to see if this was just a bad day. I’d love to see an owner’s response

Food was good, but they’re breaking consumer law. We won’t be returning due to them breaking General Business Law §518: NY LAW RELATED TO CREDIT & DEBIT CARD SURCHARGES: “Businesses are not allowed to advertise a price and add a surcharge at the point of sale when a consumer elects to pay with a credit card.” Which they did. “Instead, businesses are required to inform consumers of the higher credit card price for a product or service by posting the higher price.” The advertised price was $26.95, with no fine print indicating that was a cash price. When it came time to pay the bill, we were told it was a 4% charge to use our credit card. That is illegal. In addition, the surcharge for a Visa is 3% as of April 2023; they charged us 1% more than they get charged for running our Visa.
