On the outside you think I dunno, then you go in and its a classic diner. Simple foods. It's clear the veggies in the omelet are fresh not frozen.

I have been going there for about 20 years, I live in Auburn, n y a 28 mile drive, (I use to live in Syracuse), but I make a point to go there when In Syracuse. The food is so GREAT, the price is so great. I live in Auburn N.Y. there is no place anyone would care to eat at. Hunters Dinner use to be good. I would spend 2 gallons of gas to get a TRULY good meal at J R s ( get 30 mph) lol. Truly it is worth going there.

This brought up so much nostalgia. The atmosphere, the plants—it is like having breakfast at your Grandma’s house. The food is excellent but the experience is the draw to this wonderful place.

A classic diner experience! Attentive service and decent food (perhaps slightly under seasoned, but I'd rather add a shake or two of salt than wish there was less!). Everything was clean. The bathroom could some aesthetic attention but clean and functioning! This is a gem with stopping at!

This is about as close to average diner food as you can get. The service was a bit slow, but the server was very pleasant. Breakfast for two was less than $20, so excellent value. Several other diners were engaged in loud, coarse conversation which detracts from the experience.
