This is an outstanding and very authentic Irish Pub. Spending just over 2 months in Dublin allows me the neat opportunity to compare the real thing with 'authentic' Irish Pubs in the states. The Guinness is ice cold and poured correctly. The Fish n Chips was prepared as it should be. The ambiance is perfect! Free street parking after 6! Give this place a shot. You'll love it!

Our second time here did not disappoint! We had the poutine & Ruben fritters for appetizers - they came out quick & fresh. My husband & I both had the mac n cheese for our entrée and it was delicious! Our waiter Pete was so friendly, genuine & attentive, even though he had several tables to take care of. The service was just wonderful. We cannot recommend this place enough & cannot wait to return the next time we are back in town.

Excellent atmosphere and authentic Irish memorabilia! The hostess,Mary, was a delight and offered to give us a tour. Our waitress (sorry, forgot her name) was cheerful, answered questions about menu items, and checked on us often! Food was delicious.....don't hesitate to try Rueben Fritters!! Yum! I got the Irish meatloaf as seen on DDD. It was amazing and the service is excellent. They go out of their way for you. Only complaint was that it was very loud.

Came here after visiting Syracuse, NY. Atmosphere was great. Service was fantastic. Sage was our host. Awesome environment. I got the blueberry mule and it tasted pretty good. I arrived at Kitty's after midnight, flying in from TX. It was smokin', and everyone was dancing and singing to the tunes. The service at the bar was excellent! They just keep rotating around getting orders. The next day, I returned for a salmon salad and coffee, although, having been to Ireland, I was tempted to see how their Irish coffee compared. The salmon salad was good, but certainly did not need bbq sauce on it, and the salmon piece was small - perhaps 4 oz? But I'll definitely return if I get back to Syracuse. Kitty's is a fabulous, lively place, and I could almost hear tales of yesteryear being told!

Very seldom does a restaurant hit the mark on all points. We have never had a bad meal here, but today was exceptional. The food was great, and the server was the icing on the cake. I have been in the food service industry for over forty years, and if I were to go back to ownership, I would definitely want to hire my server from today. The Savory Advisor.

The atmosphere, food, service and quality are all exceptional. This is a traditional Irish style pub with great pub decor. It is a lot cleaner, brighter than most Irish pubs. The servers are always pleasant, helpful and attentive. The food is better than most Irish pubs. It is large portions of good quality food made with fresh ingredients. I ordered the superfood salad, expecting a light lunch. I was so surprised when this huge bowl was presented to me. It was full of spinach (a substitution I requested as I do not like kale), carrots, chickpeas, nuts, cherries, and a huge chicken breast. The ingredients were all very fresh, and delicious. Other meals we're also quite delicious. This is a great place to go for a good pub meal with flair.

Classic Irish pub in Syracuse, it's perfect. Sure, it's been Americanized a bit but that's okay. You can't expect it not to adapt! The hostess was able to find a table for me in the back with a power outlet and so this was my afternoon "office" today. I was here for about three hours in the back dining room. It didn't manage to get too busy that I felt I was taking up a table so it was cool. A tasty local beer followed by an order of their "Irish cannonballs." Great stuff. A ball of corned beef with swiss cheese and sauerkraut all formed into a ball and deep fried for a moment. They were absolutely fantastic and would be a perfect starter dish. For me, afternoon snack. It was a perfect afternoon hangout with beer, food and while I wasn't able to find a wifi, my hotspot worked great.

We arrived at noon on a Saturday with a group of 25 and the lovely lady at the door evaluated the available seats and was wonderful to work with and get seated. The brown bread was a delicious starter. I had the jerpoint salad with salmon and it was perfect. Every aspect of our visit was great. Highly recommend!

Went here for dinner on a long trip home today and the food was amazing! We tried the Irish Porter Burger (which was so big it was hard to bite into, but great!), the grilled chicken sandwich, the Onion Stout Soup, and one of the day's specials - Gator Bites! Everything was wonderful, had a very "comfort food" vibe. Both sandwiches were large enough that we (both of us smaller women) brought home half! We didn't drink anything (I was driving, she is sober), but the drink menu was extensive and had good options, including some local brews. Food menu wasn't too huge (which in my opinion is good - better to do a handful of things well than dozens of things just "ok"), and a printed out page listed the days specials and music events. The dining area was separate from the bar area, and much more relaxed and quiet. The decor was tastefully cluttered in the dining area, just the right amount of interesting pieces to look at without being overwhelming. Beautiful stained glass throughout. There was a wide array of customers between the bar area and dining area, everything from young twenty-somethings to families with younger kids. Great food, great atmosphere, great music - all around a wonderful evening! I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

The hostess who met us at the door made us feel welcome throughout our time here. Sadie, our waitress, was friendly and efficient. Our meals were delicious, and came quickly after placing our orders.

Delicious food and a good selection of beer and whiskeys you're probably not getting many other places in the Syracuse area. Really cool ambiance, too, I love the decorations and design of the building. It took us years to try it here because I never want to park downtown but it was well worth it

Outstanding. I saw this restaurant several years ago on DDD. I couldn't wait to get here and finally did. It was fantastic. The setting, staff food all were amazing. You definitely have to eat here if your are near Syracuse, NY.

I travel a lot and try to visit local restaurants. I stayed across the street and went here. Great choice— the food was good and a good variety of beer and whiskey. I had the lamb slider. I would highly recommend this place.

This was the best Irish food and one of the best overall food experiences my family has had. The atmosphere was great with live Irish music. I was able to get Kilkenny Irish creme ale which is really hard to find in the mid west. My family of 4 were seated in dining room. The hostess gave a little tour of the bar when we asked about it when seated. The Irish Meatloaf was my favorite and delicious. The Shepards pie was also very good. The balsamic chicken sandwich was refreshing for a sandwich. Planning on eating here again on return route.

Best Ruben I’ve ever had, hands down. Good service too. The main entrance leads to a bar and seating area which is a bit loud but they have a side room that is far more quiet.

Fantastic food and a great experience eating here. The brussel sprouts with pork were divine. Maybe slightly over-charred, but still, a wonderful blend of savoury and sweet. Clonalkity chicken was fantastic. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Mash and veg were spot on, very flavoursome. All worked well together with the sauce. To finish, I decided on the GF chocolate chip brownie. Really good, not overly sweet which worked for me. Thanks very much 🙏

This charming Irish pub offers an impressive array of whiskeys, making it a wonderful spot for anyone who appreciates a proper dram. Despite being a smaller, often lively and crowded space, the service was exceptional. The bartenders were attentive, efficient, and completely on point. Even with a full house, we never waited long for a perfectly poured pint or our favorite spirit. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of character — a bright green gem in the heart of Syracuse. We absolutely loved our experience and look forward to returning.

If I go anywhere downtown I come here. "The best pour of Guiness in town." Great Irish bar with a friendly atmosphere. Our rugby team comes here after every match. Jimmy the bartender is my favorite bartender ever. I'm here now, there's a live musician. The best time is after 9.

Had one of the best dinners of my life here last night. We tried out a whiskey fig lamb special that was absolutely delicious, the shepherd's pie was killer, and the tuna special was perfection. Such a cozy place. Will definitely have to come here for dinner more often!

This has by far been the best place I have eaten so far in my 4 weeks staying in Syracuse. For the quality and the taste of the food for the cost... it was amazing. The staff were pleasant and cheerful. There is a large selection of beers and drinks. The food had so much flavor and I don't normally eat Irish soda bread, but I couldn't get enough of what they served me. I will make numerous returns to eat at this restaurant again.

I had the 12 oz steak and my wife had the fish and chips. Both meals were fabulous. I spend a lot of time in restaurants due to business travel and this meal was too notch. It's very difficult to get a quality steak dinner and the crew at Kitty's knocked it out of the park. The bar area is high energy and loud but we were seated in the more secluded restaurant area which was quiet and cozy. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The price of our meal was less expensive then expected for such a quality experience. I highly recommend it!

I stopped in before going to the Landmark Theater to see Broadway in Syracuse production. What a nice experience. The bartenders,Donna and Pete, were efficient, friendly and mixed a tasty cocktail. I’m not a whiskey drinker but I tried the Irish Nutcracker and, Wow! Had to ask the bartender for the ratios so I can recreate it. I had two appetizers at the suggestion of the regular who was seated at the bar next to me. I got the potato cakes and the Reuben rolls. The sauce on the potato cakes contained Guinness and was the highlight of that dish. It was just the right amount of spicy 🌶️. But the star of the show was the Reuben balls. Addicting. The mustard sauce was the perfect compliment. Cozy atmosphere. The bar itself is stunning. Two full sides, large mirrors, tons of room for the bartenders to work. A real thing of beauty. The place has been in business for decades. With food and service like that I understand why.

Our dinner at Kitty Hoynes was spectacular. The Reuben Balls were so delicious and unique. Our waitress was lovely and kind to our children. She even brought out personalized desserts for the concert we were headed to afterwards! This truly made their night and was so special! We will be back!

Stumbled upon this gem after a conference in the area last night. Sat at a high top in the bar area and had the absolute best service from our waitress, Christy. She was incredible! Very attentive and friendly!! The food was delicious and even better for the price. Our group made its way to the bar after dinner and continued to have a wonderful experience with our bartender, James. He was also attentive and very friendly. Overall the experience was absolutely perfect. When we return to Syracuse we will always be sure to stop here!

I must say this is one of my favorite pubs that I have visited. The atmosphere and decor was awesome. The bartender was very friendly and had no problem asking questions. She made my visit even better. I had a vodka and cranberry and it was delicious. I also had the Reuben fritter, which was fantastic, I did not let the dish that was advertised at being on diners, dives, and drives influence my overall experience of the dish. The fritters spoke for themselves. I spent a total of $22 minus tip well worth a visit. They must keep that bartender around as well.

Had to check this place out, right across the street from our hotel. Very glad we made the walk. An amazing atmosphere on the bar side with drinks flowing and people hanging out. The hostess takes us next door to the dining room and another great atmosphere but lower sound level. We started with Reuben fritters and Irish poutine. The fritters are over the top flavor bombs and the poutine was perfect with an excellent gravy. The fish and chips were on point with crispy fish and great flavor, the meatloaf is money with perfect texture and seasoning, the Shepherd’s pie was insane one of the best ever for me. If you’re in Syracuse you should check them out, if you live in Syracuse you’re lucky 🍀. ✌️😎

Has a nice pub atmosphere. Food was good. The Beyond Burger was hearty. Fries were tasty. Had a little bit of a wait for the entrees, but we were seated right away on a weekend, so that's a great trade off.

Great food. Great service. Great drinks. Was a bit loud because of acoustics. Became crowded when a group of young 20 somethings decided the main intersection of traffic was their dance floor. Patrons and servers could not walk around freely

Went with my mom on a Saturday, no reservation and at dinner time. The hostess lady was so nice and got us in despite that. Great drinks and they have live music too! Just a great location.

Burger and onion soup was good but service was slow and they weren't packed. Wait sections are all spread out and servers are hard to get.

Stopped into Kitty’s while visiting downtown Syracuse with a few colleagues that made the recommendation. I’m not sure how long it’s been here, but apparently it’s a staple in the area. I was drawn in by the whiskey selection in the window when we first arrived. Typical Irish fare, and cold beverages with a refreshing Guinness!

Good food and service, we did feel a weird vibe from the hostess and at least one of the waitresses, I think that our kids weren't totally welcome. We did check beforehand they had a kids menu, high chairs, etc. that would indicate that they are. (To be fair, my son did knock over an entire glass of water, that caused my husband to tip nearly 100%.) They had an area where they clearly put the families with kids, that was quiet and in a different room than the hullaballoo of the bar, but here's the thing, that's kind of the point of taking kids to a bar-type restaurant - so that their noise blends in with the noise of the patrons! Instead we're in this pin-drop quiet room with one other older couple who probably hated us.

We had not been here for years, after a bad dining experience. Encourages by good reviews, we gave it another try. The food was very good, and the service was really good. The room was a bit noisy, but not overwhelming. We will likely return.

Great Irish Food. The meatloaf is amazing. I wish it was a touch brighter in the space we were at. Even a bright sunny day out, we had to use the lights on the phone to see the menus more easily. Service was good but took a little while for them to get to us, and it was only marginally busy.It happenss so nothing crazy.

Good place, great food! Music was too loud, very hard to talk across the table. Other than that, great atmosphere. Recommend.

My wife and I stopped in for mid-afternoon lunch. Very friendly and helpful staff, Anne waited on us and patiently answered our questions about the menu (it was our first time). We started with the Reuben fritters, featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. My wife choose the Reuben sandwich with champ mashed, she says her sandwich was amazing. "The best corned beef she ever had." I had Hogan's turkey with the cranberry aioli and also the champ mashed. Very good, the turkey was hot with melted cheese. I would have like a bit more cranberry. I also enjoyed a Kilkenny Irish cream ale! We finished with amazing bread pudding, carrot cake, and two decaf coffees. Mine had Bailey's 😁

This place gets BUSY! We stopped in to grab an afternoon beer and the bar was packed. We waited close to 10 minutes. Bar staff was not welcoming or friendly when we finally were able to order. The atmosphere is fun but doubt we'll stop back here again.

Always a fun hot spot when venturing around Syracuse! Love the lively Irish pub atmosphere and especially with festive holiday lights and decor! Live music playing the last few times we have stopped in for a cocktail. It packs in a pretty big crowd with standing room only but we are still able to get drinks in a timely manor. The bartenders really hustle at peak times. The establishment has been around as long as I can remember and before I was of legal drinking age and still remains popular with all age groups!

A true Irish pub. Partial good service, wonderful drinks and rude patrons. I'm being sassy and sarcastic. The bartender was totally cool. He made my first breakfast shot memorable. If that's a menu item then I will say I can happily come back. I was thankful that it was a Thursday night and wasn't so packed. I love dive bars and the vacancy that comes with it. Kitty hoynes isn't one so visit while you can as they tend to get packed

Stopped in very briefly for a quick ‘breakfast shot’. Hadn’t been there in a few years but had recalled how much I enjoyed that shot when I was last there. The hostess was very friendly. The bar staff were rather curt. There was a musty smell at the bar. Our shots were poured quickly and we were told we would just have to wait a few for the bacon to be made, which we would have gladly waited. But when the bacon was brought out it clearly was not freshly made. It was cold and chewy. We had already had dinner but may return in the future to give it another shot.

I have eaten here many times over the tears, and never have I ever had such a horrible experience. Took 40 minutes to bring out wings and a burger. The server had disappeared and never told us there was an issue. I asked another server and he said he'd check, but he never got back to us although he kept doing his job at other tables. I finally complained, and the food manager comped our meals. The fries were cold. The wings were cold. Had to wait in line for the ladies room. They were busy. But we had made a reservation! Never going back again. They blew it in so many areas.
