Opinions de Saranac Pub Syracuse
Stopped in after a random Google search for some place near our hotel. We're delighted to find that they had labatt's light Blue, one of my favorites from growing up in Michigan, it was on tap and cold. Nicole was our server and she was absolutely fabulous. She was engaging in conversation and made us feel comfortable. Before we finish our visit in syracuse, we will definitely make an effort to return. The shepherd's pie was tasty and was served within 15 minutes of ordering. Again, thank you Nicole!
We ordered lunch through Grubhub and were pleasantly surprised! We got the quesadilla (great value for the price) and the corned beef sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and thick with corned beef! And it came with fries that were nice and crisp on the outside potato on the inside. We also got the fried pickles—definitely recommend those as well. Overall a great lunch 🙂
Bartenders were friendly, the atmosphere casual but nice, and the food was reasonable and very tasty. Portions are good especially the pups - toasted pretzels with mustard. The boneless wings were tasty and perfectly prepared. I wish I was in Syracuse longer because there were additional items I wanted to try!
Great environment for lunch, dinner or drink. Try the French Onion soup and the Blue Cheese Burger! Kate always takes great care of me. She is so friendly and personable! I recommend Shaun’s for a low key stop downtown.
Really good Bleu Cheese burger with their custom Bleu cheese sauce. Burger was so good it did not leave my hands until it was gone. Convenient to the marriot Syracuse hotel and able to charge food to the room. The dining room was clean, bright and hopping for a Thursday night. The wait staff was courteous and friendly.
Great place for food and drink the nachos are huge for a small order and great choices of beer. The floor of this place is really cool it came from the old stadium. The service is quick and friendly and the clientele is fun, I have stayed at the hotel twice and have gone down for food and drinks both times. And this place gets hopping at night.
Had a great time here, hanging out and watching a basketball game. TVs are all over the place so you can always ask to turn on a specific event wherever you're sitting. Bartenders are very attentive and helpful. Nice selection of local beers and IPAs. The food is spectacular and really enjoyed all the plates including the Boneless wings, turkey club, fish and chips and more.
Welp, I pretty much can't have your standard cod fish and chips anymore. The Haddock fish and chips are really really good. Really flaky and fluffy or whatever with the right amount of crunch in the breading. You can't go wrong if you like F&C. Good beer selection.
Great hotel Irish pub downtown. Wade is awesome behind the bar! Service is great and good elevated bar food.
I stayed at the downtown Marriott in Syracuse for work trip recently and visited the Shaughnessy Irish Pub. Lucky for me this was located on the ground floor of this fabulous hotel. I ventured out to area restaurants but kept coming back to Shaughnessy. The food was delicious, especially the red, white and blue salad and chicken Cesear sandwich. Their fresh hand breaded chicken tenders were also delicious. My coworker's favorite was the ruben. Nicole was behind the bar mixing great drinks, assisted by Tabitha, Mike and Lindsey providing excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and friendly atmosphere!
I attended the NYSAAF/NYSSA Convention in January 2024 and the general manager, Angela, went above and beyond to make sure that everything went well! She - and all of the staff - were friendly and accommodating, even during the busiest times of the weekend! We were always greeted with smiles and felt welcomed the minute we arrived!
Me and my girlfriend come here all the time. The customer service is awesome, the food is awesome like ive never had anything from here that was over priced or poorly cooked. Dog friendly too which is nice since we can bring the pug. The atmosphere is mixed but very welcoming you can show up right after work or in a suit and you'll always fit right in. Ill be sure to come here more often. My only complaint is they took their steak off their menu and it was to die for.
The Guinness was the best I had in years. Wonderfully frothy and creaky.
The food was great (shout out to the chef) and the service was even better. Our server was Sarah and she was so friendly and accommodating. We definitely will be back
I always go to this pub when I am in Syracuse. I usually meet friends or family and we have snacks or a meal with drinks. I really like the wings. The atmosphere is friendly and the bartenders are really attentive and friendly. Thanks to all of the staff for enjoyable times. We didn’t want to leave the hotel after getting settled in, so we decided to try this place. So glad we did!! The food was delicious, the portions were huge, and the seating was plentiful. Overall a great meal!! Try the poutine fries- they were amazing.
I've never been inside but I met Mike who's an employee. Mike is incredible! Very friendly and professional. He, in fact, redeemed the awful stay at the Marriott. Mike should be General Manager. He understands customer service and he's what you'd expect from an elite hotel in downtown Syracuse. My first time here and as long I Mike's here...I'll return. Nuff said.
One of my favorite Syracuse restaurants. We have been coming here for 3 years now, and I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed yet. Absolutely fantastic Irish Pub that excels in Irish food and great service. Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, and a beer, absolutely fantastic. They never disappoint.
Let's start with it was an extremely crazy busy night when we went for dinner. With that being said the staff didn't disappoint. The bartenders did there best and our server Alicia was amazing. The food came out fast and was incredible. I would recommend this pub to anyone in the area looking for a good meal.
Had some good draft beers here while staying in the Hotel. Lyana was great and attentive as my bar tender, I shall return!
Mushroom swiss burger was great and cooked perfectly as requested. Service was good for the amount of people there. There was a Trey Anastasio concert going on across the street(reason we were there). We had to wait 15-20 minutes, got a table then food and drinks within 15 minutes of sitting. Place was packed and extremely loud but was probably due to the concert. Overall good experience, I'd go back.
Came to Syracuse for a conference and visited this Irish pub. Had a great experience. Tabatha the bartender had great customer service skills with attention to detail and was extremely knowledgeable regarding the alcohol selection. I would recommend a visit here if you come to town.
We come here for trivia and it’s always a blast! Great food at good prices and the beer is always good. Best Guinness pours I’ve ever seen!! The bartenders are friendly and attentive.
I was here for a convention We overloaded the staff on a Saturday at 1130- they had no idea we were all coming 2 front staff only Those girls worked their asses off!! Food was amazing!!! Drinks were perfect!! Definitely coming back!!! 11/15/25
Tabitha absolutely crushed it at Shaughnessy! 🙌 Super friendly, fun, and on top of everything — she made the whole experience a blast. If every visit was like this, I’d be here every week! Give that girl a raise
The wings were great. For the environment it's a little more pricey then it's worth tbh . Irish sports bar charging average $18 for things everywhere else is charging way less for and just as good. So if I had to complain about something it's the price for average pub food. I mean $18 for average burger is excessive when you can go to a place like blarney stone and spend half that and get better food. On the other hand it is a hotel pub . Wings were good and big so for $18 for that much food isn't terrible. Just know if you walk in as a couple your spending about a $100. Again the wings were great. The bartenders was very friendly and kind that kinda makes up for alot as well. and it is wheel chair friendly, and also has one of my favorite coffee places in Syracuse next door cafe kubal. So it's a one stop shop too. That's something else to consider.
Good clean pub, friendly staff with shockingly fresh delicious food. Sound too good to be true?!? Well, it’s true! Try it for yourself. Pleasant pub atmosphere where the game is always on and the jams pump out of the speakers at just the right volume to be able to hold a conversation. And thank YOU management for being open on Sundays. Most business leave us lonely travelers to starve in downtown areas on Sundays. But here you are serving up good times!
Modern pub in historic hotel. This pub has good food, great food and drink specials, and a good selection of beers and wines. It's spacious, but set up so that there are plenty of private spaces. You could have fun with a large group here or have a quiet conversation with just one other person. It's on street level so you feel like you're connected to city life. People from the Tech Garden across the street hangout here, which gives it a bit of a cutting edge vibe. It also has some cool Syracuse sports memorabilia on display.
I enjoyed the 'sports bar' atmosphere and the SU vs. Tennis game
I came here twice during our stay at the Marriott. First time I got a Turkey club, the second time a Ruben sandwich. Both were really good. Fries were nice and crispy. Wings were ok. Service was excellent
A fun place to sit and be with friends. The bar staff is amazing super friendly and super knowledgeable about the area. Food is good quality really enjoyed the Ceasar chicken. I would recommend this bar.
This was a nice place to sit and chat, grab some decent grub and just hang out. Lots of pub favorites, the wait staff was super attentive and the food was quick and as expected. On the street level of the Marriott Hotel, so if you are staying there it's really nice to have such a convenient place to grab lunch. I'd go back.
Usually a great place, I always stop by after work while staying over at the Marriot. Today had a bad experience with one waitress Nicole who was extremely rude and didn’t understand how mobile room key works and was very slow. Other than that is a decent place, great service past midnight. Great friendly bartenders. Great place overall. Let’s ignore my one off bad experience.
Edit for adding additional star: Just went to the bar part of the place last night. If you’re just looking for drinks, it’s great. Service was good for being packed for St. Pattys, and drinks were decently priced. Great bar, bad restaurant. It was okay. Food was nothing special, if anything it was not worth the money. My entree came with chips and salsa and I got maybe 8 chips (very small chips at that) and they didn’t give me salsa, they gave me cold queso… Also service was incredibly slow for only having a few people in the restaurant.
Food was really good, drink special was nice, atmosphere nice with live music, but only 4 start because the bartender (Josh..who didn’t want to be called Josh..huh) wasn’t nice. Ignored us a lot, and seemed to be begrudgingly serving us. The gals at the bar that night were very nice. If we go back we’ll steer clear of “Josh”
My fiancé eats meat, I don't. His burger was cooked perfectly.. in fact he said he might prefer the burgers here to Blarney Stone (which is a huge compliment!)... As a vegetarian, my options here were pretty slim. I had the tomato basil soup on special, and it was awesome! I also ordered a quesadilla -- no chicken, no bacon. I understand that meant it was coming with pico, and cheese.... But when the check came -- my meal was still more expensive than my fiance's burger. Overall, atmosphere is A+, service was also A+, quality of food A+... only true improvement could be the consideration and options for vegetarian/vegans. We will be back, but I'll personally skip eating next time and just come for the booze and atmosphere!
Some variety of draft beer, including local brews. Food was basic bar food. We had a waitress with a bubbly personality and the setting was well decorated with local memorabilia.
Food was pretty good but service was quite slow and they were not very busy at all. I would happily eat there again when I stay at the Marriott however.
Nice atmosphere, average food. Granted the restaurant was busy but it seemed as though (at least initially) we waited longer for each contact with the host and server than the tables around us. I would go back but this experience was less than excellent.
Restaurant was extremely busy, Food came out pretty quickly, My Shepards pie came out cold. Waitress apologized and quickly brought a new hot one free of charge. My wife's Fish and chips was excellent good portions sizes. The Waitress was excellent considering how busy they were.
I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Pretty good! I tried the salted potatoes and those were good as well. Service was above average as well. Would recommend.
I went on a slower night so low staff but I was checked on semi-frequently. Food was great, drinks were more expensive than you would think for a place like this but overall good good experience. Music wasn't loud and the bar has every sport on you could want.
Fish and chips were a large portion. Lots of fries. Cole slaw was good. Fish was good.
We're gonna play a little game called The Good The Bad and The Ugly The Good: • Conveniently located near the Syracuse Centro hub • Irish cannon balls are exquisitely crisp and explode with Reubenesque flavor • Nachos come with firm sturdy chips, multiple layers of shredded Colby and a hearty queso. Black beans should be featured on more nacho platters more often • Deliciously crisp thick slices of toast hold together a fine turkey club The Bad: • Limited "Event Night" menu meant that all the items I had looked forward to ahead of time were nowhere to be found. I get it, and the backup options were good, but disappointing nonetheless. • The "pico" promised for the nachos were diced tomato and onion, no cilantro or vinegar to tie it all together. The Ugly: • The chicken caprese sandwich came with one sad little slice of tomato and the "fresh mozzarella" tasted like your typical pizza cheese. Chicken was ok but a bit dry and bland. Basil mayo was the star of this part of the show Overall more good than bad. Would likely return for the full menu another time.
Love the fact that these guys stayed open on New Year’s Day for those of us staying in the Marriott and having to work early it was very convenient. Food was nice and warm, it was quiet, yet very polite and attentive service from the staff. Definitely recommend this place to grab some good food and watch a little football. They even had premier league going on. Got to have that an Irish pub!!
Visited for a late lunch/early dinner on May 23. We had 10 in our party. The waitress was extremely rude, even to the 80 plus year old member of our group. The food was good, as were the beverages. We were all staying at the Marriott attached to the pub. We went to watch several members of our group bowl in the USBC National Open and returned to the pub shortly before 11 pm. Not a single person offered to help us until after 11 pm when we were then told that the kitchen was closed and we had to go to the bar for our drinks. This establishment lost out on quite a bit of money by not serving food to all of the returning bowlers that evening and every week night that they bowl until that late. The tournament runs into July. Customer service is lacking. The 3 stars are because the food was good.
The waitress was great but the food was disappointing. We had the Nashville chicken sandwich, kids mac n cheese, French onion soup, chips and guacamole, and a salad. All of it was just not real good. I definitely recommend Ale n Angus just a block down the road.
Three stars for the host and wait staff who were friendly and trying their best, but I would recommend avoiding on a busy night. We arrived at 5 and were told it would be a half hour wait for a table. We grabbed some drinks from the bar and ended up being seated an hour later. By that time they were so backed up in the kitchen they had now switched over to the more limited bar menu. That was fine and when the waitress appeared about 15 minutes later we placed an order for pretzels and pub nachos. When the food still hadn't arrived after 45 minutes we decided to cut our losses and head for the show.
It’s a fine place to grab a beer when you’re downtown. Service was good and the food was just ok I had the Mac and cheese and it was good and wife had the chicken rap witch wasn’t good the chicken was over cooked and when asked about it and the server said that it was supposed to be like that
Came for dinner with a party of 2. Arrived at shift change apparently. Was promptly seated and waited 5 minutes before meeting waitress. Staff were friendly but service seemed to be exclusively to the bar at thos time. Throughout the evening we saw our waitress 2 times only. We waited 40 minutes for our food and there were only a few patrons in the restaurant. It's a great sports atmosphere and the tables are large. Which is great for ordering apps and drinks. However, the service was horrible. So we were unable to take advantage of this. The food was good, your normal pub style. They do offer some Irish specialty dishes. But the long wait was not worth it. Perhaps it was a one-time issue, and we happened to experience this. I would be willing to give another go if there weren't so many other options in Syracuse.
Went in for lunch today, not a lot of people there and still the food took almost 45 minuets to get to the table. It absolutely wasn’t the servers fault, he was extremely attentive to our table, and we could tell he was getting frustrated with the kitchen. When the food came out my sandwich was decent, slightly overcooked, but the sweet potato fries had were burnt to a crisp. I ate them because I was starving, but I make better ones from a freezer bag. Moral of the story, someone needs to fix what’s going on in the kitchen.
The batter on the fish and chips was spongy. The fries were ok. Beer selection was decent. Bartender was friendly. It was fine for a hotel restaurant, but for the level of the hotel, I expected better.
I met up with friends for a pre show beverage they had already been served burger with fries beers and had ordered me one as well. Lively Irish Pub atmosphere. I was never acknowledged by bar tender or any staff. Not offered a menu or refills. Staff had to be flagged down for the bill and cleanup of dishes that were on the bar the entire visit. The sandwiches being served looked like good portions, I would definitely like to try the Reuben and see what is offered on the menu! My friend said the burger was good but fries were served cold. Better luck next time! "Go n-éirí leat"
Servers meed training about what items to bring with orders chicken wings should have blue cheese offered or customer be asked if want customers should not have to tell server to get celery, blue cheese or butter. If customer asks for butter maybe heat up a little. I love shaunessys Irish pub and eat there often and recommend often.I will try again.
My bf and I popped in for dinner before the Pierce the Veil concert. We both ordered the Shaughnessy sandwich. My corned beef was about 50% just fatty pieces, and it was so tough I ate it separate from the sandwich. We had to flag down our server to get a second drink, and we never saw her again. It was really disappointing, as so many reviews here raved about this place.
The food is overpriced. You get very little for what you pay for. The people are nice enough I suppose as long as you don’t question them about the lack of condiments or food. The food is just okay… if it were great… this wouldn’t be a problem.
The food was terrible. Buff chicken wrap had half boiled chicken and cut up fingers. Fries were cold. Burger was well done with no taste. Waitress was miserable. Select member because an event was going on. So if you are going to have that it shouldn't be hard.
Came for a quick bite before a Syracuse Crunch game. Very limited menu. Restaurant appeared understaffed as the servers appeared to be in a hurry. Beer was room temperature. Food took a long time for bar food. Wouldn't recommend if there is an event happening close by.
The food was mostly fine but I would not recommend the wings as they barely had any sauce. The service wasn’t great. When our server brought us plates for the apps the plates were dirty - gross! She didn’t even blink when I asked for new plates. So I would not recommend going here to a friend.
I went to Shaughnessy's Pub on a recent trip to Syracuse. We arrived on a 'college football game day' so the place was busy, so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited for a table. I ordered a Bloody Mary and beer for my friend, and paid for it at the bar. (It was under $20) I left a tip and signed for it. Sadly I did not keep my receipt. They charged me $237.02 CAD for those two drinks - I later found out on my Visa Bill. My food bill was $184 which I paid for separately - this was entered correctly. I have called the bar 3 times, and left a message for the manager. When you email it bounces back. I have been ghosted. I will never visit there again, and suggest everyone to keep their receipts, in case this happens to you!
The fish was very dry. It was sitting on a green and white parchment paper which bled all over the bottom of the fish turning it green. We received the wrong order which was then corrected. The chipotle chicken wasn’t fully cooked and the entire sandwich had a very off taste. Finally, the burger that was ordered medium well came medium rare and was relatively flavorless.
Placed a to go order from my hotel room. Went to pick up order at time told. Waited 10 minutes and then was told my ticket was never received by the kitchen. Waited another 25 minutes and order still didn’t come out. Told them to forget the order unless they bring it to my room. Someone brought it to my room 15 minutes later but with no utensils and no broccoli as mentioned on the menu. Will never eat here again
Corn beef and cabbage was disgusting. Hard as leather on one side almost like it was reheated in the microwave. Insulated that the cook and waitress thought that was acceptable.
We started out with a waitress… then she became invisible! Imagine that! 2 hrs and 15 minutes for 2 people to sit down and have a standard dinner date. Our patience was pushed to its limit. Great food, but nonexistent service on a Sunday. Not coming back.
Was the first table to be seated, 4th to be waited on, waited over hr for quesadilla and mozzarella sticks, and when served food food was ice cold. For drinks had to get up and ask bartender for refills. Ridiculous. Server made excuses for kitchen being backed up with not even half house full. Will never be back. Save your time and money.
Came for the 2021 New York State Association of Fire Chiefs Convention and came in after the block party for dinner and everything was great. Came back for the 2022 Convention expecting the same experience and was extremely disappointed. Service was extremely lacking. After taking our food orders, everything came out randomly for our party. There was 11 people in our party and some people got their appetizer and food immediately, where others took a long time. Some people were finished eating before other food or appetizers were even brought out. My appetizer in particular was brought out an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered. Which was after my entire party had already finished their dinner. One of the things I look forward to when coming to the Chiefs Convention is eating at all the great food establishments in town. This place had definatly been crossed off the list for next year and I will be sure my fellow firemen are advised of such. I understand it is a busy time, but I have eaten at many establishments in town over the course of the week and have had exceptional service everywhere else. Google requires a minimum of 1 full star for the review, but if it allowed less, I would.
Waited 45 minutes on a night when it wasn't even busy. There were a handful of tables seated. We never got our food and had to leave for an event. The manager and server showed zero remorse or care. We were told they were sorry but they did not offer to help. At least we got free drinks, I guess.
Came for the 2022 New York State Association of Fire Chiefs Convention and came in after the block party for dinner. Service was horrible. 11 of us came in and we placed our orders. After taking our food orders, everything came out randomly for our party. Some people got their appetizer and food immediately, where others took a long time. Some people were finished eating before other food or appetizers were even brought out. One persons food came an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered, then his appetizer came out about 10 minutes after his dinner... This was after my entire party had already finished their dinner. I understand it is a busy time, but we have eaten at many restaurants in town over the course of the week and have had exceptional service everywhere else. Actual Rating is Zero Stars.
Was busy BUT had a terrible waitress who kept ghosting us. Another waitress helped us by FINALLY grabbing our app, potato skins-unimpressed and they were cold. Ordered drinks and my sister had hers 5-7 minutes before I received mine. Finally order our dinner-took roughly 1 1/2 hours from the time we were seated until we received our dinner-we both ordered a Cobb salad. We both talked about how much we couldn’t wait to have it because we wanted the avocado that was on it….it arrives and doesn’t have a single piece of avocado in it. Waitress never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything. She brought us our drinks and our bill that was it…other waitresses delivered the app-which was shoved in front of me and had no plates to eat from and a third waitress delivered our salads. Never was asked if we needed a refill on our drink. We’re staying at the hotel and just called down for two desserts-to order by phone and we’d pick it up. Waitress wouldn’t take our order by phone, told us to come down and look for a waitress to get the desserts for us. Terrible service.
Party of 4 arrived at 5:00pm 3/9.. got seated right away.. server took our drink oder promptly.. came back shortly after to take the appetizer order then dinner orders.. drinks took over 30 mins to arrive. The apps took over 45 mins- only orders 2 apps- snd after 1 hr and 45 mins we never got our dinners.. left hungry snd very disappointed.. kitchen was to busy cooking for the gala they forgot our dinners. So wrong
After several visits over the years, I can confidently say this “Irish Pub” has nothing Irish about it. At best, it’s a mediocre sports bar—except even that’s questionable, considering the TVs were stuck on the Travel Channel, and the staff wouldn’t change it despite multiple customers asking. Service? Slow and indifferent. The bartenders seem more interested in avoiding customers than helping them. It’s clear this place isn’t a priority for the hotel, and it shows. I won’t be bringing my group back. Do yourself a favor and head to Salt City Market instead.
chips and guacamole were bad. The service at the bar was okay. The only good meals were the chicken soup and the draft beer. At the time I went no card was accepted, only cash. I don't recommend it at all.
Too bad the food is awful. Great space. My Corned Beef and Cabbage came with carrots and potatoes. Corned Beef was a half inch thick and tough as rubber. The carrots weren't cooked. The potatoes were passable with the cabbage being the thing cooked as it should be. Needed a steak knife (not provided) to cut everything but the cabbage. When I politely told wait staff that the carrots were raw, the response was "I didn't cook them." I said I realized that was the case but perhaps my feedback should be shared with the kitchen. I wouldn't eat there again.
Ordered late night chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks to go. “Spun chicken product” pressed into tiny chicken tender shapes. Worse texture than kid’s fast food chicken nuggets. Drizzled with a spritz of very weak Buffalo sauce. Asked for Buffalo dipping sauce, got honey mustard. Mozzarella sticks were like rubber chunks of dollar store cheese. Two orders of “chicken” tenders, one order of “mozzarella” sticks, $41. Five tiny tenders the size of one actual pub tender elsewhere. Really disappointed. They were chicken “something”, but wouldn’t call it meat. Obviously, counting on the clientele to be so wasted and drunk they won’t notice. Upside, the fries were good.
Just left. Sat at the bar. Bartender basically refused to give us a food menu because of Winterfest. Terrible service. Wouldn’t even have bought a drink if we knew that was how we would be treated. Missed out on a six drink/two entree tab. Won’t ever be returning. Also, a plastic cup for a draft beer? Super lazy.
I wanted to take my partner out on a great date night, and the female bartender who worked this evening was by far the rudest, unprofessional, dishonest bartender I have ever encountered. She was so bad that she ruined our entire rest of the evening by screaming at my partner when my partner called her out on actively skipping her turn to order multiple times, making eye contact with her several times at that (while my partner had her card in hand), serving people who came in close to 20 to 30 minutes after we did. When my partner calmly told her that she has been waiting close to 30 minutes and that she was serving other people before her, the bartender raised her voice, causing other patrons to look at us, and claimed she was working the line which obviously was a lie due to the fact she served multiple parties on the left end of the right of my partner. There is never an excuse for a bartender to lie to a customer or more importantly make customers feel bad. After the bartender finished screaming at us, we proceeded to leave the establishment, and we will never be back and I will make sure to tell anyone I know to never come here. I strongly advise anybody who reads this to never frequent this place if you are looking for a halfway decent experience because the way that we were treated tonight, not only ruined our experience there and obviously we will never set foot in there again, but it even ruined our entire evening after that, the female bartender was and is that bad.
very pleasant staff when i walked in but painful service waited a long time for a beer that was skunked it seemed like they were understaffed gave up waiting for our appetizers Left money for my beer and walked out I worked in restaurants for years This is the first time I’ve ever walked out of a place I would avoid this place at all costs.
Everyone I’ve heard who’s been here has come down with food poisoning. The Health department needs to look into this place
Terrible service. Waited 40+ minutes and never even got asked what we wanted to drink. One server on a convention weekend. Left and won’t go back.
Was staying at the hotel and figured I would give it a shot. I like Irish Pubs. I ordered the fish and chips during a Monday Night Football game. The food came out cold. There were three tiny heavily breaded pieces of fish. Seems frozen to me. Barely any fish and way overcooked. Based on the portion size. It should be called chips and fish. Would not recommend. The staff was very nice, but never once asked me how the food was. Disappointed to say the least.
Terrible service- I understand being unexpectedly busy after an event, but the female bartender was especially rude. After waiting for 15 minutes and her passing by me numerous times, I went to the other end of the bar she was frequenting. At this point it had been nearly 30 minutes and the bar is getting busier. She served the person to my left and then went immediately to the couple to my right. I said excuse me I have been here a while- to which she told me she is working her way down the line. I calmly pointed out that I had been waiting and moved to get served after I got passed by in the middle of the bar. She raised her voice, dismissed me, and moved on. I guess it doesn’t matter how long you have been there and wait if someone happens to snag a seat as soon as they come in at the right spot in her service.
Please do not bother to even try Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, sort of busy, but a few sports at the bar. Sat down at two with my partner and.... I've never had such bad service. The bartender (older lady with long black hair) proceeded to walk past us SEVEN (7!!!!) times without even saying hello. In fact, most of the times went out of her way to not even look at us. Went back and forth asking people she was very friendly with. Watched her go to EVERY person at the bar without even acknowledging us.
The food was mediocre at best and priced far above its worth. Only good thing we got was the mac and cheese. Portion sizes vs price seems like a significant mismatch. Service was so slow. Over 20 min for a beer and a coffee cocktail. The server seemed inattentive and moving in slow motion. The appetizer loaded fries was in all reality a single serving, not shareable and not with the $9. The only thing Irish about this place is the name. Save your money and don’t go to this hotel bar. You would almost be better off going to Applebees.
