This is absolutely one of the must-sees of Los Angeles. It's like a time travel to mid-century Iran. With all the original ornaments and decorations, it looks like a museum. They have a large variety of persian cuisine. Food quality is high. Though sometimes surprisingly overpriced. Cons: The owner likes to share and advocate her political views to customers, which is not the best choice for a food service business.
Very friendly owner! We went there for Persian New Year to say Happy New Year. He brought us special tea with rock candy as EIDI. That was a memorable moment for us. I definitely recommend their Beryani!
I had a combination plate of chicken with the beef. Food is amazing. The owner cooks everything to perfection. Meat is tender and portions are generous. Food is cooked to order over a flame right before your eyes. Owner is friendly and happy to share stories. I have found my new kabob house. The atmosphere in this restaurant is superb. There are all kinds of decorations that really make this place feel like you are in another part of the world. For those who complain about price, each plate can easily serve two.
I have been eating here for 25 years. Great food. Great guy. Cool ambiance. Always hot and Fresh off the grill with a Smile Thank You for being here.
We really enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere at House of Kabab. Mr Mehdi is a gentleman. The food was delicious. We ordered the Kubideh & Chicken Kabab and Beryani Isfahani as our main dish and they were cooked perfectly, with a great balance of ingredients. We will definitely be back.
It was my first time trying this kind of food and oh God was it good. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area, it was so good I had to tell my sis about it I'm trying to convince her to go with me. The only thing stopping us is the distance but like I said next time I'm in the area definitely stopping again. The plate I got that day was a chicken and beef combo with rice it was amazing.
The best. Authentic. Delicious Persian food in LA. Place is like a museum. Amazing old school Iranian pictures and things. Must go there and check it out. Worth it.
Always great consistent quality. We love eating at this place with family. The owner is very friendly and the only one there so you get taken care of right away. We love their chicken plates and the family plates. Their beriyoni is a must to get every time and they have the best angosht and kaleh pacheh.
Hands down, the best Kalle Pache in town! PS I dare anyone to start a conversation with the owner and not enjoy it! The friendliest man ever :)
This place makes a real good and tasty kabob! The food here got taste. A nice atmosphere that gives somewhat an atmosphere of being somewhere else, with all the decorations and furnished surroundings. Even pictures of Iranian celebrities are placed here. Letting you know the food here is good! Hope you also enjoy as well!
This is one of the best Persian restaurants in town. Everything on the menu is delicious and Mr. Mehdi provides the utmost customer service. I’m not sure why people have rated the customer service so low. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here. This is the only place in the USA that offers a traditional Persian dish from the city of Isfahan called “Beryoon”. It is served perfectly here with fresh herbs on the side. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a delicious dining experience.
This place was good before a visit from a Persian youTuber,. Good got better and it's definitely on par with the best in the LA area!
In an area where there are so many kabob houses....this one reigns supreme. The ground chicken kubideh is out of this world. The owner who cooks every skewer adds herbs and spices which make you aware that it is not just the chicken...it's the quality. He is right. Over the years he has held consistency to high standards. Just make sure to order by number 🤣 I will be back again and again.
House of Kebab is truly one of the gems of Los Angeles when it comes to authentic Persian food. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and the comforting aroma of real, home-style cooking. One of the highlights for me is their dizi. It’s not easy to find a place that makes dizi the traditional way, but House of Kebab does it perfectly. The broth is rich and hearty, the meat is tender, and the mashed mixture with fresh bread tastes exactly like something from back home. It’s the kind of dish that warms your soul. The staff are always polite, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re craving kebab, dizi, or a classic Persian comfort meal, House of Kebab is absolutely worth the visit.
The Best traditional Persian restaurant in LA. It’s small but authentic and nostalgic. For more contents follow our instagram @gemislist
Isfahani Biryani and Daisy were amazing! Memorable place. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. Excellent service that made our dining experience even better!
Very cozy place with gorgeous traditional decoration. The owner is very friendly. If you want to try the tradition, try Beriooni :) all other items are also very delicious. Finish your meal with a cup of tea, one of the best.
The atmosphere takes me back to the days in Isfahan. A good sign to see older Persian people eating there often. And the Biryani is excellent and that chicken kebab was the best I’ve had in years 👌🏼 The owner/chef comes of stern but is really a good man and will open up with some appreciation. I bring my lady and friends by whenever I can. I don’t often write reviews but this place and owner inspires some good words. Love the place!
The food here was incredible! Honestly, I haven’t had such delicious dishes even back in Iran. Everything was full of authentic flavor and perfectly made. Highly recommend!
We had the kobob Beef and chicken made to order hot and fresh very tasty. We enjoyed and took some home. Merci. We will order soon.
Kalehpache was delicious like a good homestyle country savory breakfast ,a memorable atmosphere, friendly, personalized service, enjoyed the whole experience and definitely recommend this place for a place to eat Kalehpache.

Very good food, excellent service, highly recommend. I have tried many restaurants for Persian food, but by far this was the highest quality. We will definitely be back.
Truly, the BEST restaurant for Persian food when in the valley here in Los Angeles. Very high quality food, excellent service and truly nostalgic !

I orderer their Soltani beef it was delicious. It'll take some time (10-15 minutes) to get your order since it will be cooked/ grilled after you order which is nice since it'll be freshly cooked hot when served. They dont serve fountain soda, all are canned (Coca Cola products) at $2 each tax inclusive. The owner is a one-man team. He's cook, server and cashier. So I'm not sure if curb-side pickup will be on-time. Authentic Persian items embellishes the whole restaurant which gives it the unique ambiance while eating. A lot of photos of owner with some prominent people (speculating) adorns the tables and picture frames around the place. Parking is shared with other businesses in the establishment, it may be hard to find a parking spot. Must try: beef and chicken kubideh

I had 1. beryan & 1. Abgoosht &2 teas. That’s all & I ended up paying $150 including $15 tip ( it was him doing everything EVERYTHING) Don’t ask me why I paid the BUSINESS OWNER TIPS ,but I did. the food and service with that quality Is NOT worth anywhere near that much!!! I like mehdi but this was the last time im going there! so be careful peeps ,it’s expensive for what you’re getting.

I don’t like the food, compared to other Kabab restaurants I’ve been. Also when I entered the restaurant, they were talking to each other instead of helping me out. I almost walk out of the restaurant.
The owner needs to retire and hire a couple of people to serve customers with a good attitude. He is not customer friendly at all. He is the server and cashier and cleans the tables, and prepares food at the same time without any sanitation. Charges you more if you pay with credit cards and do not provide you with a bill or receipt. Food quality is below average with high prices.
Interiors are interesting but I don’t understand why people open businesses when they are not people’s person and it’s hard for them to smile, or make people feel welcome…! Food is bland, cooked from frozen to grill which could be the reason of no taste, the guy thinks he is giving you a huge favor by taking your order and serving you that overpriced tasteless food…!!
At first I thought this place was not bad ,the food was ok and the Hot tea was great and then i started to notice after a handful of visits to this place that I and my family were getting second hand treatment at best. I would be sitting next to another family eating and I would have my food brought to me on paper plates and paper cups with paper forks and spoons while the family next to me which of course happened to be of the same culture as the owner had the exact same food ordered as i had for my family yet their food came on lavish super nice plates with extra nice cups of tea , The owner would be super nice and pleasant to his own kind and super rude to my family and also cold. At first I thought maybe I was tripping but after it happened 3 more times in a row I said That's that no more business from me. I would go 2-3 times a month spend 100$ each time and now My business is elsewhere. I wouldn't not recommend this place unless you are Persian Arabic etc. He will definitely treat like a 2nd class citizen.
the worst food ever, so rude, so expensive and zero test, don't west your money buy the McDonald's it's 100 times better
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. The food was burnt, as clearly shown in the picture. When I called to complain, instead of apologizing or helping, he spoke very rudely and talked nonsense. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from here again and do not recommend this place.
All of the food is so bad & The prices were high compared to the quality of the food, which had no good quality. The meat and even the rice tasted very bad. I don't recommend going here even to try
I'm only leaving this review because I trusted the reviews, and I'm regretting it now. I think some people just throw the food away and don't leave any reviews. The photo is worth the thousand words. The meat is soft, but it smells and can't be eaten. We had to throw it away. Very poor service in person, too
Very low quality food. Very expensive! Owner was extremely rude. No service at all! Beryan wasn't cooked and didn't serve as it should. It was like a kotlet in an oily bread! Shameful!

This was the worst Persian food and service I ever have experienced in my life! The service was horrible, the owner was doing everything: serving, cooking, answering the phone, and he was rude. The guy (owner) was angry and looks in very bad mood, like was working by force. The food was not good at all, test less, am not recommending this place to anyone. Don't waste your money and time. the price was high.
The quality of the kebab and meat is TERRIBLE. The koobideh tastes like anything but koobideh and hard to chew. One side is burnt while the other side is not cooked well. Not recommended
We met the most unfriendly and the rudest restaurant owner ever, half eaten plates left on every tables, customers are not responsible for the bad business and the empty so called restaurant, they should treated with respect and welcoming manner unprofessional behaviour made the atmosphere so tense, not recommend it at all
