Went for breakfast with my toddler who is often hard to go to restaurants with. Had the steak eggs Benedict. AWESOME. I cleared my plate. My server Alicia was so nice and patient. She helped me with my questions on the menu item and even checked the ac for me without rolling her eyes. My only complaint is that the restaurant is little warm. But I don’t think they can help it. We’ll be back.

Best Burger in Burgerville. Fast friendly service and cold beer is always a big plus. Wonderful place to "ketchup" with your family.

Had another great breakfast at the counter. Very fast and extremely helpful service. Great 50's Diner ambiance and music. Cinnamon French Toast was superb and only $6.99. My wife's grilled english muffins were a real treat. I've had fluffy pancakes and eggs over easy on other occasions - excellent and reasonably priced by today's standards. If you enjoy grilled diner food with a terrific staff (had Aidan this morning - SO helpful), definitely try it for BREAKFAST.

Wanted to make sure before time goes by that consistently this place is spot on! They rock! The vibe! The great welcoming staff! We love our " AA " Ashley and Aiden combo task force of hospitality in a challenging and sometimes nail biting atmosphere of " Self imposed entitlement folks daily! Sorry! Just truth folks! If you want spot on top shelf service, happy vibes, consistent great food! Yep!

i’ve been eating here a couple years and the last two times my meal was so much better than it ever used to be. my burger wasn’t all sloppily thrown together and greasy it was made as if the person making it actually had pride, it was perfect. whatever changes were made or whoever is working there now, keep them, they are valuable! this was a pick up order that i did not personally pick up.

Stopped in for dinner last night with my husband and 5 kids. Was really expecting this place to have been packed and a long wait after seeing how crowded the square was. To my surprise we were seated immediately. Blake was our server and was absolutely fantastic! Not only was he patient and courteous but was extremely attentive making sure drinks stayed filled and checking periodically to see if we needed anything. My husband and I were extremely impressed with his work ethic. Johnny Rockets is extremely fortunate to have him, I hope his hard work doesn’t go unnoticed by his supervisors ! That kind of service I’ve not received in a long time !

Haven't been here in years but was nearby. Not busy at 8 pm. Got waited on quickly. Orginal burger with cheese and milkshake. Everything was great. Friendly service and checked on several times. Definitely recommend

Great alternative for breakfast in Lake Sumter. Never crowded like the other breakfasts spots. I think it is because very few people know the serve breakfast. The store windows are tinted so you can't see in and it looks closed. However they have a very large and tasty breakfast.

In terms of service, I was impressed with the speed at which my order arrived. Despite being a fast-paced establishment, the food quality was not compromised. Moreover, the prices were reasonable and reflected the value received. All in all, my experience at Johnny Rockits was ideal. The combination of friendly staff, cleanliness, tasty food, and convenient location was perfect for the moment.

Fast service. Nice people. Good food. The the only downfall here is that there is almost nowhere to park. A lot of the snowbirds take their golf carts and park everywhere, leaving very little room for cars to park.

A flash back in time. I have been to other Johnny Rocket 🚀 locations, but this one felt authentic as if it had been there since the 50's. I wish the tabletop juke box unit worked at our table. 😞

If your looking for a casual breakfast in a perfect location to then walk the square. This is your spot. The portions are generous and the servers attentive. Only downside was the biscuit was a little underdone. Didn't actually know I was getting one so it wasn't a big deal

First time at a Johnny Rockets and it was good. The burgers were pretty good, I had the Spicy Houston burger, overall it was good but the jalapenos were pretty low quality. The fries and shakes were excellent though. Service was somewhat slow to start but once we ordered it was picked up. The atmosphere was great, exactly as I expected. I would recommend a visit for sure.

It was our first visit here and it's really nice with the old school diner look. All the employees are very friendly and welcoming. The food came out hot and fresh. The hamburger was delicious. The only problem I have with this place is the pricing verses the portion you get. Basically everything is a la carte. I would definitely come back because the food is very tasty 😋

Had a nice lunch with the family at Johnny Rockets. The atmosphere is a cool retro vibe, like a throwback to a 50's diner or Malt Shop. You could sit at a table, booth, or the counter. It has the open kitchen layout so you can see the chefs working their magic. Downside is if something burns, it's smokes and smells up the place. The food was good. Buns of the burgers are grilled and still had a nice crunch to them. One burger was the Original without veggies. Another was the original with the works. Burgers we delicious cooked nicely. We also shared the bacon and cheese tator tots. The liquid cheese was so so but the tator tots were crispy and flavorful. One kiddo ordered a hot dog w/onion rings. She had a couple bits of the hot dog and maybe 2 onion rings, however that is her normal eating pattern. Onion rings were crunchy and had decent flavor. With a little salt, they were a solid choice. The next kiddo ordered the kid sliders and a side of fries. It was a typical slider and fries meal for kids. The fried are the smaller sized, shoestring fries. Love these fries. The service was good. Our waitress seemed to have 3/4 of the restaurant while the other 2 waitresses split the front 5 tables. Even with that, the chefs were running food out to the tables and one even came out to help bus a table. All in all, a pleasant trip and good food. Be patient and have time to kill as it's not the fastest but the food came out warm and was delicious for the afternoon.

We decided to give it a try since we were already in the area trying to watch a band play. So we gave them a shot and it was decent as far as presentation & atmosphere. I had the Aloha burger. The problem is the bottom of the bun was completely saturated with fat juices and either fell apart or dripped excessively every time I tried to pick the sandwich up to take a bite. Major mess maker but overall the place was a good experience. My star deduction was due to the soggy & over saturated burger :( Not only did the cook not catch it, but neither did my server who should have noticed the mess dripping everywhere and the excessive amount of napkins that we had to go through.

Went there for a fun family friendly environment but menu changed since last time we were there. Prices have gone up for sure, and they DO NOT offer fries with burgers anymore! BTW we paid $10-15 per burger so it felt like a rip off! So after 2 kids meals, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid shakes, 1 regular milk shake & drinks was $72 before tip!! My first trip to Johnny Rockets. My husband was looking for a burger and shake. When you enter you are Welcomed. It is clean and handicap accessible. The staff friendly and attentive. Juke box playing and the 50s diner look rounds out the experience. The Food. My husband says the burger was good and prepared well, exactly as described in the menu. He asked for a thin shake and that was good as well. The fries were OK. My vegetarian options - 2. And no vegan options at all. But this is a burger and fries joint so ... not expecting much.

Let’s begin by saying, our waitress Chelsey was great. Always checking on us and the other customers. Now, the bad. Both sandwiches had very dry buns, one side of my wife sandwich was extremely hard. The half hour we sat there, no one was cleaning the tables around us. It was slightly windy, enough to blow the trash off the tables and on to the sidewalks.

Nicer if you sit outside. When you go inside the review gets worse. I'd love to see this place busy but it seems like it is in desperate need of some remodeling. Service was great. But the building itself makes me not want to come back. Really hope a remodel/refresh is coming soon. The fact you can see outside from the bottom of the door. You never know what's crawling in there at night. Does the manager not have an office? I find it unprofessional to be working on laptop/phone in the dining room at 530pm.

It's not the same. Ketchup... I saw a kid open a bottle and drink it straight. I miss the days of to order Ketchup. I drive an hour for their food. It doesn't even taste the same. Service was non existent . Too busy but there was nobody really there. It used to feel like a real 50s diner and the food was amazing. Maybe there food quality choices have gone down. However you can only do that with one portion of a burger... not the whole thing. Malt was terrible too. They used to bring the malt with an extra cup. Not anymore. Plus I don't think they use whole milk anymore. Could have been a bad day, but service doesn't take a day off.

Staff is friendly and personable. Place is a bit dated. Food was subpar.

I love the concept and have loved the food at other locations. This place needs some updating and better customer service. Sometimes there is quite a wait when it is empty. The food seems to be kind of dumped on the plate and and is overpriced for just a burger and fries. It is convenient, but you can have a better meal somewhere else for the price. If you've never been, go. Otherwise unless you don't have time to go somewhere else, skip it. Sad, because it could be a great place.

All of a sudden you have one meal with a drink to be forty dollars plus tip This is ridiculous Thai food all our food is made from scratch, imported, hardly any advertising So forth we are barely holding in to a fresh $22 plate of grilled chicken breast from scratch sauce side of rice or fried rice for four dollars more with veg and egg Yet one burger no side is 16, impossible ten more five more fries three more drink, five onions fifty cents, bottled sauce em that will be another dollar for a portion cup, hmmm And the fries were cold No refills no silverware This is a huge flaw in franchise for lack of training proper menu design and greed Very sad to see this will no longer be our ‘tradition’ I do have to say the staff were apologetic and sweet I don’t ever like to complain Ever It’s not how it works But I see how much goes into each serving at Coporate price and it’s insane Fries and burgers are as American As rice and stir fry for Asian food

Wow. I'm surprised there isn't a price star rating. The price was out of this world. Sure, the BLT was good, but you literally had to add fries for $5 extra. That's crazy! The shakes are about $10 a piece. The meals were typical pricing of about $9 - around $15 but if you want a drink you'd have to pay $3 extra dollars. Fries, $2 - $5 extra dollars, and a shake, for $6 - $15. I took my family of 3, we tried to go cheap, and still ended up spending around $60. Outrageous! The only reason I'm not giving 2 stars is because the waitress being kind and the food tasting pretty good. But still it's not $10 - $20 to bring a family. More like $30 - $80.

1st time ever eating here. We had excellent service. The place was nice inside except for the women's bathroom. Change the lightbulb and clean it up. Bacon Cheddar burger was excellent. Very tasty even with the no special sauce. The Crispy Chicken Club Salad was okay. Chicken had no real flavor. Had 2 cold pieces of a full strip of bacon in the salad. They had formed a ball of bacon, which was weird. The Onion Rings with sourdough breading - well, I found out we are not fans of this breading. Fries - Extra crispy: you mean NOT extra crispy? They served us mushy fries. The Ice tea tasted like weak instant tea and that was yuck. 1st time and last time.

My negative review is not aimed at the employees... lack of staff, broken shake blender, etc... There were three couples eating. Took 15 minutes to be waited on. Once order was placed we waited half an hour on three milk shakes. Staff would start to make them and then get pulled away. The blender was broken so they mixed them by hand. By the time we got the shakes they were warm and mushy. $24 for warm milk shakes??? Not acceptable.

My friend and I came here a few weeks ago, and it wasn’t the best time. The burgers were made incorrectly, had the wrong toppings/sauces on them than what we ordered. Our waitress also didn’t check up on us that often and after handing us our checks, which were also spilt up incorrectly, she disappeared and didn’t come back out. Few minutes later cheese curds came out and then after 10 minutes or so the server walks by and asks if I have received my burger. (Ordered chicken sandwich) told him Nope and he starts carrying on with the kitchen staff. The cook looks at me and asks if I got my sandwich I said nope ordered a chicken sandwich. He said I got you! Then after another 10 minutes or so the cook brings me my sandwich and questions if the cheese curds are any good (weird way to ask). So now I have been out of drink for a bit and eat my sandwich. Server walks by a couple times asking how the sandwich is in passing but not enough time to ask for more water. So I get another girl to refill my water then he asks if I’m ready for the bill and brings me the bill payed an left. I have been here for breakfast a few times and service was always good but I definitely won’t be back for dinner!

So disappointed. We have been here in the past and it great. We decided to go back and will never go back. The server was good but over a hour we never received our food. The server said she told the kitchen staff but our ticket was over looked or misplaced. We asked for the manager but he never came. I still don't know what happened.

This was at a pristine location called The Villages in Florida. Everyone was great except the cook. He obviously didn't want to be there. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the meat was half the size of the bun. More than enough mayonnaise for 4 sandwiches. It was disgusting. Of course paid full price for it while the manager exclaimed "that's how they come". 1st and last time eating this franchise. Please do better.

Don't eat here if you have a schedule to keep or like cleanliness. The restaurant is dirty. The service is extremely slow. It took about a half hour to get our food. After asking for our bill and then waiting at least a half hour to get it, we finally went looking for it. We then waited another 15 to 20 minutes. The food on our first visit was good. On our 2nd visit we ordered a malt. While we waited for it, another customer told the employee they couldn't wait any longer for their food and canceled their order. The employee's response was, "That's just too bad." Then we got our malt which was full of chunks of undissolved malt mix. Our recommendation is to pick another restaurant.

Place was great a few years ago. Wait staff would sing every half hour or so. Kids would get a paper hat. But now, it's just another burger joint, and not that great. They got my order wrong, twice! Food quality was fair. Could be cleaner also, especially the bathrooms. Won't be back.

You would think being aware of the internet businesses would be more atuned, not! The service was terrible and the food overpriced! They used to include endless fries with a burger now $12.00 for a Burger and it didnt even come with fries! The other guys, whom I will patronize from now on have a special $5.00 for Burger fries and drink! My Wife 2 Grandchildren and myself and almost $90.00 for our meal. I am an African American 67 year old grandmother. I took my 13 year old grand daughter to Johnny Rocket in the Villages Fl.for the experience. We were never acknowledged for service or seating. After six minutes I realized we were intentionally being ignored. I explained to my innocent grand daughter her first example of racism. What a tarnish on the companies reputation. God bless them.

Just drove 40 minutes and at 758 pm. They said they were closed due to having only one customer tonight. It is raining but everywhere else is packed. Seriously disappointed and we are locals.

SHE LOST OUR CREDIT CARD! First of all, every worker is cracked out. No one is okay. We came as a family for a quick meal and shakes. We received our dinner including burgers before our shakes. Our server looked like she was on hard drugs and was responding slowly and it scared my 4 year old cousin. Then we pay the bill, and she doesn’t return with the card for 20 minutes. We ask for it and she says she lost it! NEVER GO HERE

I used to love this place. I took my children here one night , and our waitress was clearly not okay . She was sweating profusely, her fingernails were so dirty, it looked like she was bleeding from her head , it seemed like she was on something . We were all very uncomfortable . Our food did come out fine , but before we finished eating she asked if she could bring us the check .

Party of 3 had lunch here yesterday. We ordered 2 single hamburgers, 1 grilled chicken sandwich and one order of onion rings. That was all. Fries didn’t come with sandwiches. We drank water. Total bill was $45. 😱. Burgers were cold and beef was tasteless. Rings were good but not worth $9. Service was ok. Will not go back because don’t like being ripped off.

🤮 the fries tasted like fish. It’s a shame because it’s a great location for an outdoor lunch. Not a mystery why it isn’t crowded. Servers are very nice. Only bright spot.

We went to Johny Rockets today. We had to wait a while to be seated (place was almost empty). After we were seated, we waited over half an hour and nobody approached us to offer drinks or take our order. After a bit more waiting we decided to leave. Employees didn't even noticed us leaving . Never again

Get looking place Retro.. How ever we waited 30 minutes for two burgers that were WELL done not medium rare as we requested they really didn’t care.. was told that it is what it is☹️ would not recommend!

The wait staff was nice. The food was another story. The ice tea was awful. The fries were old and lukewarm. Overall, the family decided we don't want to go there ever again. Edit: After the ice tea, we decided against full meals and opted for just fries. As a single mother, I can't afford to waste food. So yes, we did eat them as we were very hungry and didn't want to waste money. I also have an anxiety disorder and don't like to make a scene. Like I said, the wait staff was nice, and I didn't want to cause her trouble. However, this was not the first time we were disappointed by this particular site's food. So you can try to make me look like the bad guy all you want. I was just trying to be honest. And for anyone who looks at the rest of my reviews, you'll see most of them are positive, so you judge for yourself.

So normally I really like eating here. Been eating here since the place opened. But working in the restaurant industry for years I felt like I needed to say something. Look at the photos. That chicken in the pan has been here since before we ordered our milk shakes. We were here for almost 30 minutes before we left. They are assembling and prepping food on the same surface ..... Burgers and chicken ..... Not good. Also the veggies look like they are dying from heat exposure. The same gloves they are wrapping the ..... RAW chicken with they are putting the burgers (food) together with.... My shake came out looking like it was part eaten. Not very appealing but it was good. Not sure what happened but don't like the wiped looking windows either .... Looks like grease smeared....

One star for actually having an edible burger. But this restaurant messed up several times. When I got my California Burger with Salad and a Strawberry shake, the milkshake had onions in it. I chalked it up as an honest mistake, the manager asked if I wanted another. I said no. He brought me a new one, but after biting into onions I had had enough. They charged us for that shake and I think their reason was because they brought a new one. The new shaker had a paper wrapper obviously visible just sitting right there on top. Photo attached. The salad was wilted and rotting, picture attached. As for the burger, I ate it. But it was mediocre at best. The manager has no clue about customer service, we should not have been charged for the shake.

By far, the worst food I've eaten. The first time I ate the food was on our cruise. That was delicious. This one here was disgusting. I will say the milkshake was the only good thing we had. What a terrible birthday meal! Thanks for nothing, @JohnnyRockets . Sadly, the air conditioner wasn't working either. With triple digit heat temps outside. The people who work there were doing good under the circumstances. They were very polite.

We have been coming to Johnny Rockets for quite some time. We noticed a difference in the food and service about 3 visits ago but decided to give it another chance. Well, this evening was the last chance. We ordered a shareable french fry as an appetizer. After a bit we ordered our food. We ended up getting the “appetizer “ with our food so we had like a triple French fry order at our little two seater table. None of our food came out correctly and nothing was done about it. Drinks were a hit and miss. We then had to hunt down our server to get our bill. We could tell our server was new and we were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Overall, it was an awful experience and the food was horrible for what we paid. We understand the inflation aspect of things but for the food and service we got, it definitely wasn’t worth it.

Walked in and got two iced teas to go. Total over $8.00 with tax. Outrageous. One and done.

I’m not normally one to complain about a restaurant especially working in them and being in hospitality but this was restaurant was dirty. Our table was sticky, the floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years. Booths ripped the widow we sat by was covered in dust. I was disgusted and should have left. Our server was rude, brought my refill in a Togo cup with no ice told me to poor in in the glass I already had, put her server book on our table to write down our order and leaned all over us, I ordered a chili dog it was $9 and did not come with a side plus the $4 for my soda. Two kids meals 8.99 a piece plus another $8 per milkshake they were okay. Our total was $45 dollars and the food portion and quality did not show that price. I was highly disappointed and will not be returning again.
