Great waterfront restaurant with distant views of downtown SF. Outdoor waterfront dining in a charming district. Staff were enthusiastic and efficient and the place was hopping. Avocado toast was a generous portion and good flavor, and the side salad was very fresh.

Summery: good view, good atmosphere, well prepared foods, courteous services. We arrived mid afternoon and found the restaurant about 2/3 full. That tells me how popular this is. The seatings on the deck are very pleasant. We were greeted warmly, promptly and timely. Plenty of menu choices. We ordered crab cake, calamari, chicken burger, fish and chips, and a salad to share. Each and every item were well prepared and taste good. Prices are on the high side, most likely due to location and the view. Service was very courteous. Nothing we can complain about.

Lovely spot in Tiburon. We sat outside which was dog friendly, and service / food were both top notch. Our only mistake was ordering the soft shell crab sandwiches (they were the daily special and we should’ve done almost anything else)

San Francisco is a great destination and I've had the great pleasure of family and friends swing by over the years, I take them on tours and along with that, the usual stops for food. And for those who've been with me to Marin, one of my absolute must-stop joints is Sam's Anchor Cafe and here's why. The food is great, service is top notch and the outdoor dining deck right on the water has a supreme spot in the marina. Yeah, it's a bit spendy and on this visit, we only got drinks and minor stuff to justify our place at this popular Tiburon food Mecca. It isn't just the food that matters, but it's just a most enjoyable spot to leisurely spend time with friends, soak in the sun (when it's out) and enjoy life's simple pleasures.

Great place, foods, drinks and definitely and amazing view in the backyard. The service was great, but I just feel like there is something that stops me from giving 5 stars. Maybe my expectations here were too high? The crab toast and the lobster from the platter were fantastic. Portions are huge. We were expecting a lot from the lobster roll after trying the lobster from the platter but it fell short. The chips certainly awesome. The asparagus salad was great but not crazy good.

Absolutely amazing. The oysters were fabulous. Had a group of 15 every dish was amazing. The dessert was to die for, the butter scotch cake with caramel! Get that for desert you won’t regret it! The only complaint was the “hostess” was very rude about moving our group outside (it was not busy at all) and was very rude about letting us use the chairs with backs on them instead of stools. When again it was not busy and no one else was using them . Could have been Better about that situation when we had a lot of older people with us. Other than that we would love to come back amazing food, and views. Our waiter was great too!

Such a treat to be taken to lunch at Sam's Yacht Club in Tiburon! The menu is great and I had a hard time deciding, but landed on the Summer Stone Fruit Salad, and it was fresh and flavorful! My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. The fish tacos looked very yummy too. I'd love to go back.

Beautiful spot right on the water with both indoor and outdoor seating — such a lovely atmosphere. What we ordered: • Garlic Prawns cooked in white wine, butter, and chili with toast — OUTSTANDING. • Sesame Crusted Ahi Salad with edamame, wakame, carrot, radish, and white sesame dressing — delicious and so fresh. • New England Clam Chowder — tried it for the first time and absolutely loved it! So creamy and full of flavor. A wonderful meal all around — can’t wait to go back!

Spent the day in Tiburon and stopped here for lunch. Great outdoor seating area with spectacular views. Service was good but they definitely get busy on nice days. Food was good - husband had clam chowder and salad and I had the crab toast. My crab toast was good as the bread was very thick. Unfortunately it was not toasted well - it was essentially regular bread except for one section at the bottom which was very burnt (black).

Had an amazing time at Sam’s Anchor Café in Tiburon! Tried their oysters, chicken & waffles, and fish tacos. The oysters were incredibly fresh! The chicken & waffles were delicious too! the waffle was perfectly soft and crispy. But the chicken is a bit dry.

Very bustling place with good presentation and high prices. I had the Fish & Chips, and a cup of Clam Chowder. The chowder was literally served in a mug, and was quite good. The fish and chips had cold fries at the edges, but thankfully the fish were warmed through. The fries had a lack of freshness and crispness despite being battered, and the fish was just ok, being surpassed by other places I've been to, maybe on the level of frozen battered fillets available at your local store. For $10 a cup of soup, and $26 for the fish and chips, I can't say I was too satisfied. But the food was at least okay, and not bad.

paid $400+ for a party of 5 with 4% surcharge for employee benefits I believe? which I don’t mind the price, just wasn’t notified in advance of such. The views were okay, the heated seats outside were nice though. The food was way overpriced for how it tasted and the service was lackluster. It wasn’t very busy but our server never really came back after taking our food orders. we had asked for another blanket since it was cold but never got one. we ordered this seafood platter appetizer for $130 and it was so tiny with nothing special to it. the tiny portion of ahi tuna poke didn’t taste like anything. neither did the tiny portion of shrimp ceviche. both lacked flavor so bad i was just hit with instant regret about ordering that platter. I guess I had too high of expectations considering the price but would not go back or recommend to a friend
