Love this place and our server Nicole! My uncle ate here every week and Nicole was his favorite server. We had my uncles last birthday here, service and food were on point. They treated my uncle like family, and even after his passing.... They treat the rest of our family the same. Came for the food, we go back for the service.... And the food!
Fantastic Chinese restaurant! Best in the area (including Yucca Valley)! I always judge a Chinese restaurant by their Shrimp Fried Rice and this place hit the mark! Tasted just like the delicious shrimp fried rice that I grew up with (been searching for years for a place that did). Also got the Honey Walnut Shrimp on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint: was sooooooo freakin' yummy! Highly recommend those two dishes. Will definitely be coming back here for seconds, thirds, and more!
I have eaten here multiple times and I absolutely love it. I get the beef lo mein add broccoli and it always is amazing and a huge portion. Expect a long delivery time if you order delivery but it's worth the wait. They have boba and I get green tea boba which is yummy, I was surprised to find boba in 29 palms honestly. The last time I had it delivered I also got egg drop soup everything was still very hot and the portion size of the small soup was also quite large. It's worth the money here
We wanted Chinese and we went for a take out order. Food was delicious. The teriyaki beef with vegetables, rice, egg roll.
Had dinner last night and just absolutely loved this place. Huge portions for incredible prices, and the food is delicious. I had the barbecue pork and this sauce was perfect. Destiny was our main server and even in the middle of a huge rush took the time to personalize our experience. She was delightful. I loved the team work and seeing how smooth service ran, these ladies are clearly pro servers. If you're fussy and need lots of attention, save the drama for your mama and leave the table for me because we will absolutely be back. <3
This restaurant was amazing for me and my friends! Quick and friendly service. The food was beyond amazing in my opinion. I love these Chinese hole in the wall locations so much. Cheap food for a lot of it. I would highly recommend to anyone driving through 29 palms or staying here.
My Family(7) and I just recently went and dined in for dinner. It's a seat yourself set up which was nice. We all ordered different items and to pur surprise the servings were soo large we could have easily shared 1 item between 2-3 people. We all enjoyed each of our plates. A few things we ordered were: orange chicken(excellent, not too sweet) Teriyaki chicken(lots of flavor and sauce) Plain lo main(loved by the kids) Shrimp fried rice(great flavor) Beef and broccoli(veggies were so fresh) Cashew chicken(lots of veggies included) Fries(kids loved them) We all ate a pretty decent amount, probably more than we should have haha but it was soo yummy and we still took home leftovers that filled 4 to-go containers. This place quickly became a favorite and the pricing is really fair for all that you get! Definitely going back soon! Highly recommended!
Best food in town. I started with the chicken wings. There’s an option for four and nine. I should’ve listened to the waitress and ordered nine but I started with the four and it was so good that I the ordered the nine. Beef lomain and hot honey chicken was amazing! My waitress was very friendly helpful and attentive. Thank you so much ❤️🫶
Very delicious Chinese food! I got the build your own combo with fried rice, orange chicken and spicy honey chicken to get a feel for the menu and loved everything. The staff were friendly and took good care of us, and the food was sent out quickly. All around good time. Highly recommend their fried rice, it's one of the few foods I'm really picky about, and it was made PERFECTLY.
Great place, good service and plentiful portions..
The hot and sour soup was the best I ever had — full of substance! It had lots of tofu, chicken, bamboo, and even shrimp. The flavor was spot on, not too sour . We also had the curry noodle chicken topped with celery and it was delicious! I would pass on the broccoli and beef because the sauce was too sweet. Overall an excellent and satisfying meal!
Love this place. Great food awesome service. Give a lot of food.
Amazing food, even better service.
This is one of those actually great restaurants. The food is very good. Highly recommended. Great wings, noodles, soups, and range chicken. Worth the wait.
Great little spot for Chinese food. We ordered the appetizer plate for 2 and I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice. There was ample amount of food left over. Staff was very friendly and was available anytime. The place started getting busy after we arrived and it was a pleasure to see this business thriving in this time and age. Prices were definitely reasonable for tge quality and quantity of what was served. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some yummy eats!! **** they do not served any adult beverages ******
The photo I took doesn't do the food justice! My hubby and I had a long day and decided to try this place out. Not only was the food delicious, it was some of the best food I'd had out in the desert on my whole trip. We both got the 2 entree combo, which came with 2 entrees of choice, steamed rice, and an egg roll, for around $15~. The amount of food they gave is was pretty hefty, and the flavor of it was sooo good after a long day. I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed our food. The quality was great, the quantity was great, the flavor was juicy, and the wait wasn't too long. The only thing I can think to note was that the egg rolls were just okay, but everything else was absolutely fantastic. This is just a minor gripe, and this restaurant has earned the 5 stars from me!
THIS IS THE BEST. Please do yourself a favor and do not miss out on this amazing restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is great and the cost is FAIR! Everything comes quickly.
The egg drop soup is the best I've had in a long time since leaving Texas. I love it!! They have a good selection for lunch specials. Budget friendly as well. So come eat a lot of food for a low price!! Trust. Friendly service, fast timing and hot food. The food tasted fresh and well prepared.
Went here for dinner on 12/8 and was very happy with both the food and the service we received! Nicole was our server and was absolutely amazing. The food was tasty and the portions were large, more than enough for lunch the next day. When we asked for some to go boxes, we got boxes, bags, plastic silverware and napkins. She even put our soup in a tub and gave us extra crispy noodles and fortune cookies. We will definitely be back again! Also should be noted that they did not have any alcohol when we were here. Not sure if that is a normal thing...
I absolutely love this place. Restaurant atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. Staff is absolutely wonderful. Food was delicious. I have lived on their food for majority of the two weeks I stayed here. I defiantly recommend it.
I just moved into town and was craving Chinese food. I saw this place a few times but wasn't sure about it. I looked at the reviews and majority of them were positive experiences. The staff here are friendly and kind. The prices are very affordable and fair. The food smells amazing (I ordered to go at the restaurant) and it looks like they give out very good portions. I told my hubby about this place and he and I will definitely be back soon. P.S. online it says that don't deliver, but the brochure and menus here say they do so it may be for phone orders. Not too sure though.

The food was actually amazing. The service was good. I loved my wonton soup, noodles and spicy honey chicken. Ive been to this restaurants 3 times in November.
Large portions, full service Chinese food. My kind of place. Spicy honey chicken was nice and saucy. Thought about getting a two item plate, but one was more than enough food. Good service from our waitress as well.
That was the tastiest Szechuan Shrimp I’ve had in a long long time. The peppers were cooked perfectly al dente, and the whole plate was fresh tasting and delicious. Perfect spice level, too. The egg roll was a little old and not hot out of the fryer. The rice was delicious.
I walked up and down the street. This was the only restaurant that called me in with the smell of the food. The food did not disappoint. Everything was really good. The Cream Cheese Wontons are a must! The Chicken Lo Mein was really good. We also got the Combination How & Sour Soup. All plates were really good. The staff was super friendly and warm.
We walked in today to grab some lunch to go and the food was great! Plenty of seating when we came in. It’s nice and clean. Staff are friendly. The food came out pretty quick. We asked for no peanuts and less veggies and they were accommodating about it. Still would’ve preferred even less veggies but because of the huge portion size, it worked out anyway. It’s too salty for my bland-food-only-husband, but to me it was perfect. So much flavor, I loved it.
we were in this area during christmas so we didnt have much options in restaurants. most mexican restaurants were closed. bamboo garden was our next choice as i didn’t want american food. i didnt have any high expectations, however the food turned out to be very good and sumptuous. we ordered hot and sour soup, kung pao chicken and 2 pcs of egg roll. everything tasted amazing and we finished it all. would recommend this place if you are around and looking for a place to eat

Overall very pleased with the experience. The waitress was a sweetheart. Some areas to improve: 1. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch special. Please consider incorporating some pineapple chunks, bell pepper, onion slices, carrots, or other vegetables to enhance the flavor combinations. It turned out being sweet, and no sour. Very one-note dish. Good, but could improve with some changes. 2. The fried rice was good, if a little on the salty side. 3. Dining room: only one overhead ceiling fan to circulate the air, which left the room a little on the warm side (definitely not as hot as outside though!). Booth: we sat in a comfortable booth, but there was a tear in the fabric, which could be patched for very little $$. Again, overall, 4 stars, I would eat here again.
Very good food and friendly service. Liked the dishes we ordered, especially the egg food young, which was prepared significantly differently than what I'm used to. Service was decent. I prefer all orders to arrive at the same time, which did not happen in our case. In addition, one item was wrong. Also, they seem to love breaded and fried menu items, asd the batter is very thick.
Lots of food, tasty. Good value for money. Would definitely eat there again. We parked behind the house. Service was very nice. Furnishing a bit outdated, but seems clean.
So it's a small establishment that is perfect for friends and family. The plates are family style , and they do have lunch specials until 3 p.m The bathrooms are clean. The staff was friendly and helped us with our questions. . I ordered the egg soup in a cup and it was delicious. The curry was a little run down, but nonetheless was tasty and couldn't complain about the chicken and amount of veggies. Steam rice could be a little more fluffy and fresh. The green tea boba was lacking flavor but not overall bad. I will come back again.
Probably the best spot to stop at if you’re vegan and in the Twentynine Palms area. The portions are huge and the prices are fair, and it’s probably one of the last places before you get further west into California where rice comes with your meal free of charge. It’s a comfy space with friendly people, too. I came twice during my week in town.
This place is not the greatest Chinese place but it is the greatest Chinese place that I believe is currently open and in service and business in Twentynine Palms. There is a much better Chinese food place unfortunately they have a notice saying they're on vacation. It's been saying that for over six months! They are the Chinese place over on 2 mile and Adobe. But it looks like they are out of the equation in due to this this is the next best thing the food here is pretty good I do love their lunch specials for only $6.95 from 11 AM to 3 PM good deal! One of my favorite is the lemon chicken.
I think on another day, this would've been a 5 star review. We came here around 8 pm on Saturday night to find that the restaurant was terribly understaffed. There was just one woman taking order, serving and cleaning up. Half the tables were occupied, the other half still had unfinished food and plates on them. There seemed to be a line to order take out. And well, the same person was taking those too. When we said we wanted to dine in, she expressively gave a big sigh. A regular customer was nice enough to clean up a table for us and her. Sounds like either someone did not show up or just left. Ultimately, this poor woman had to do everything, had her daughter manning the phone and about 2 people inside cooking. We ordered the garlic chicken, mixed lol mein and the pork dumplings. Food came out pretty quickly. However we ended up with some paper plates and plastic utensils to eat. The pork dumplings were partially cold but we could easily recognise the quality and deliciousness of them. The lo mein is the best I've ever eaten and same for the garlic chicken. Really good food and makes you want to lick your fingers and the plate off. I've been to several Chinese restaurants in San Diego where I live and nothing comes close to this. For the price too, it's big portions so it ended up being our lunch and dinner the next day. I could see that the main woman was exhausted and shewas sweet enough apologise for the above non-food experience. But in all fairness, I have to give this place 4 stars because of that. I will back again to eat more of this fantastic food and update my rating to a 5 star :)

I actually had hair in my food... they didn't take the plate back to remake it. They just took the little bit with hair in it back to the kitchen. That was 🤢. They were very nice. The inside was rundown like most of 29. The noodles weren't very good and neither was the Thai tea (noodles were soggy and tea was mostly sugar/milk) The rest of our food was really good though. If I go back I'd definitely be checking my food thoroughly for hair and not ordering chow maine again.
Great flavor but an EXAGGERATED AMOUNT OF ONION. As you can see white and green onion dominated my plate. We ordered about $70 worth of food and the majority of it was onion. I would recommend but when ordering just ask them to go light on the ……..Onion 🤣

Waited 20 min, came back, they gave my food away. 😮💨🤦🏻♂️ A 10min staff blaming session. Remake, Another 20 min...😡 Ugh The food was just mid... Honey hot CHX, GENERAL CHX, (noodles $2) Tofu veg soup, steamed dumplings. Might get a second visit. Different menu choices.
I had lunch here with my mom today. For the price, you get a lot of food. It was also hot and fresh. I’m only giving two stars because the egg drop soup truly tasted like cleaning supplies. It was terrible. The egg rolls were okay, though they were more like spring rolls and were heavily fried. The chicken and fried rice were also very no frills - no vegetables in them at all. Chicken was tasty nonetheless. I don't think we will eat here again which stinks. The high desert is wanting for a good Chinese restaurant.
They reuse oil to cook fried rice so it is stale. Mongolian beef is too salty and is drowned in sauce. Pan-fried noodles with beef is edible but not good at all. Pick another place if there is a choice.
I apologize for leaving a poor review because the staff and the environment were really great. I was hungry and the taste buds were out. The food is very low quality. The broccoli, onions, and bell peppers are packaged and shipped from Dallas or some similar location. The beef was identical to chewing on a piece of rubber and had no flavor except for sodium. The slightest discriminating taste would not enjoy this food.

If I could give this restaurant a good review I would nut we have been swindled by they restaurant.the mushu was 90 percent veggies an 10 percent meat that is not mush. When we called they told that if nothing is wrong it they will not refund our I know it's a small town, but you should not be able to get over on people serving unbalanced good. They just lost a customer
Imagine a Chinese restaurant, who used to deliver, but now, only will do deliveries, via third-party delivery services... The owner is involved with the price-gouging delivery services... Definitely NOT worth the PRICE GOUGING!!! TAKE THESE PEOPLE DOWN!
We placed a takeout order for two main dishes, a soup, and two appetizers at Bamboo Garden while the restaurant was only moderately busy. During our wait, three dine-in parties ahead of us received their full meals. After nearly an hour with no communication on our food, we asked about our order and were told that only the soup had been made and that we could cancel if we wanted. At that point, we canceled. The refund was processed quickly, which I acknowledge, but the lack of order tracking, communication, and respect for customers’ time was unacceptable. Sorry, but this experience reflects poor management and service. I would not recommend ordering takeout here.
