Great customer service, and the amount of portion of the food is wonderful! Quality, and flavor is above, and beyond.

Had lunch here with a friend for the first time and it was a delightful experience! We had very friendly service and when my pho came out, Chris ( Ben's dad) asked if he could show me how to prepare and eat it. He was so warm and enjoyable! We went through a very informative little training session during which he had me taste in stages as ingredients were added giving even more complexity to an already delicious broth. I enjoyed every bite! Every dish coming out of the kitchen looked fresh and delicious. I think I have found a new favorite restaurant!!

Pho Ben is a delight. The food is authentic Vietnamese which the owners graciously prepared to our liking, whether mild or nice and spicy. The atmosphere harkens to Vietnamese culture but is also open and modern. The menu is simple, concise, and easy to peruse. The owners were out front greeting, interacting, and making suggestions on what to try. My daughter and I both had the Beef Pho which was more than enough to satisfy. My daughter, is not a fan of spice and ordered a milder version. She loved her meal. I took mine as hot as I could bare. It was fantastic. Most of the heat comes from sauce options located at the table. So I was free to choose what I wanted to add to my meal. The Pho came with a plate of Fresh lime, cilantro, purple basil, hot peppers, and bean sprouts that we could add to the Pho according to our preference. We also ordered Rice rolls with a tangy peanut sauce, which, coupled with a spicier sauce, was delicious. The food as a whole was top notch. Pho Ben is a brilliant gem in Eastern York and would make a fantastic and affordable date night or family dinner for anyone who enjoys authentic cuisine from other lands. We can't wait to come back.

My 9yr old daughter and I checked out Pho Ben and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, service was wonderful and food was excellent. There is also a wide range of tasty drinks ranging from smoothies to iced coffee! It was a wonderful experience!

Pho Ben is an exquisite culinary gem of the York county area. The atmosphere is calm, warm and friendly - service is polite and attentive. Order the Pho and ask to be shown how to do it just right. More often than not, the chef will come out himself and show you the way. The result is an experience of flavor, connection and atmosphere unlike any other. Don't miss out on this wonderful place :)

Service was impeccable, chef offered tips to experience foods best flavors as it was new culinary experience. I will highly recommend to others that have not tried Vietnamese culinary to give it a try... you'll love it. It warms the soul!

WOW. I've had a fair variety of Vietnamese and Thai food in my life. It's so good I'm having lunch here for the second day in a row. This place is amazing. The pho is excellent and the noodles are amazing. The crispy egg rolls are incredible. Service was excellent and the chef came out to make some recommendations for me. I will definitely be back!

Service was incredible. The owner came over and showed us how to properly prepare our pho. He even packaged it up for us when we couldn’t eat it all! Come with a big appetite and an open mind because there are so many things to try and so many ingredients to choose from that everything is so unique and filling.

Today was my second time going and I got the steak and brisket pho. I really liked it and the guy was very nice and helped me make my bowl even better with the sauces. He was very understanding and really sweet. I do recommend this place

Food was amazing! We didn't know most of the food so we picked randomly. We got the shrimp appetizer and a bowl. The bowl has amazing (chef even helped us out because we didn't know you had to DUMP the fish sauce in and mix it. We thought it was to dip). It was sweet and flavourful. The shrimp was pretty good. However, we a had a few that still had intestines in it... Overall 9/10. Delicious! (Appetizer, two drinks, and a bowl cost around 40)

We ate their as a family on Thursday,February 1st 2024 (5 of us). The food was unbelievable!! I can not rave enough about it. The server was very friendly, offered suggestion and pronounced the food items for us. I SERIOUSLY WOULD RECOMMEND Pho BEN for your dining experience, you will not be disappointed. Tony A.

My husband and I come in at least once a week, never disappointed. I can only attest to the Pho, but it feels like home, especially on a cold rainy day or if you’ve been under the weather. It’s a guaranteed pick me up. Everyone is so friendly and the service is fast whether eating in or take out.

I couldn’t believe me and my fiancé got to luck to come across Pho Ben. The whole experience from the second we sat down was great. We met Kris one of the owners and he went above and beyond by making his signature chili sauce for us and showed us the proper way to eat pho. If we didnt live 2 hours from here it would be a weekly spot and our go to restaurant when we couldn’t decide what to eat. Anyone in the area who hasn’t tried Pho Ben your missed out and suggest getting in here as soon as possible. We’ll be back for sure.

This was my first time eating Pho and I'm ready to go back! It's delicious!! I ordered a fairly basic beef pho on the recommendation of my friend. Aside from the goodness, eating Pho is an experience - adding in different ingredients to customize it to your taste. After tasting the broth (which is fantastic), I added in the bean sprouts, some of the cilantro & basil, and a slice of jalapeno for heat. Then we started to slurp and eat noodles. Yum!!! Wish I snapped a picture, so I'll do that next time.

Note* if you order water they only have bottled water and you'll be charged a dollar. Also ordered combination fried rice to take home for our son. Squid, fish balls, shrimp, beef and chicken plus veggies.

I was grabbing the hubs whisky next door at the wine and spirits and the smell from Pho Ben was heavenly. I stopped in and asked if I could order to go. The staff who turned out to be the owner offered me a free cold drink (I looked beat) and it made me feel so thankful. I got my food in 20 mins and had a great conversation. I ate a crispy spring roll in the car on the way home and almost cried because it was warm delicious and perfectly seasoned. The special pho I ordered did its job in revitalizing me! I think because of that tough day I have seen this place as a way to recharge. I go every 2 weeks and love it. If you don’t like soup it’s ok. They have rice and meat dishes and amazing ambience when eating instead. Bring your coworkers, or family or friends. It’s delicious.

Excellent, I used to drive all the way to Lancaster for some pho not knowing there was one right in my backyard. Pho Ben have great food and service. Would recommend the pho steak and the coconut juice if you like stuff like that.

He wasn’t wrong! The mixed bowl was excellent. The proteins well-cooked, the noodles with a little chew, and the veggies had crunch and coolness. The egg rolls were very good too - cigars of crunch with a core of tasty pork. The meal, app and iced tea came out to about $30, plus tip. Not cheap, but not insane. Good food, nice people, clean joint, and 100 yards from the movie theatre. Another winner. Hooray York!

Some stuff is good and tastes more authentic. The wings are good in the fish sauce style, but the pho broth tastes watered down. They are way over priced for the amount of food you're getting and the quality of food. Service is great, and the menu is great, but I wish the prices matched the food.

I've been eating at various Pho places for years and I'd have to say their portions here are really small and the prices high when compared to other Pho establishments. Their large bowl is about the size of everyone else's small. It wouldn't be too bad if the prices were in line with the portions but there wasn't very much brisket in the Pho either. Overall I'd say the food tasted good but you don't get much at a steep price for a bowl of soup. I'd recommend getting the large bowl of Pho if that's what you order so you don't leave broke and still hungry.

It's ok. Small portion for a large price. Meat is a lackluster amount and not great quality. My review is based on multiple pho places from Houston to DC. Not sure why this place is 4.6 stars.

The food is okay, I might just not be too into Vietnamese cuisine. My friends and I got the thick rice noodles. They liked the chicken in theirs, but the shrimp in mine didn't really taste like anything. Definitely DO NOT get their boba. I got the matcha milk tea with tapioca pearls, the milk tea itself was okay but definitely not worth $8. The tapioca pearls cost an extra $1 and they were probably the worst I have ever tasted. If you want boba, just go across the plaza to Kung Fu Tea.

They liked the chicken in theirs, but the shrimp in mine didn't really taste like anything. Definitely DO NOT get their boba. I got the matcha milk tea with tapioca pearls, the milk tea itself was okay but definitely not worth $8. The tapioca pearls cost an extra $1 and they were probably the worst I have ever tasted. If you want boba, just go across the plaza to Kung Fu Tea.

*Update 6/27/25* Now they charge for to go containers?!?! $2 each* we didn’t finish and they asked if we wanted containers without telling us there would be a charge and we didn’t ask because… why would there be? What the heck? Adjusting review again! *Update 11/14/23* They now provide free water, adjusting review accordingly. NO FREE TAP WATER!!! food was good, service too then I questioned the owner about their ridiculous policy not to to provide his customers with water, he said that he was not required to and we shouldn’t even bring in our own water bottles! Insane!! Apparently we have to buy their bottled water, like we need to put more trash in a landfill?? What a shame… I wanted to like this place because I love Pho, but there are other places to get this in York.

This is the worst Pho restaurant we've ever been to. The portions were incredibly small; our 10-year-old daughter, who usually leaves food uneaten even with a children's meal, didn't feel full after an adult portion. The prices were also higher than other restaurants. And it tasted like it had a lot of MSG in the dishes. They forcibly charged a 20% service fee without any prior notice, and then shamelessly claimed that three people constituted a "large group." I've attached our receipt. This is the cost for two adults and one child! We paid in cash, and the menu even stated that paying with a credit card would incur an additional 3% fee! Absolutely a rip-off!
