We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Union Bistro. Our waiter/service was outstanding and the food/drinks were amazing as well. We're from Indianapolis but, would definitely dine here again when in New York.

The servers were awesome. Had it not been for Anna and Sergis, well. I really did enjoy my time there. But too much cilantro! Seemed I couldn't get away from it. But those chips!!! They saved the day! Very brightly lit, I still had a lovely time. And the lamb on the bone was good but ask for raw onions to have with it. Since I liked the staff so much, I will go back!

We tried this restaurant based on other reviews and it definitely was worth it! The steak and bronzino entrees were just mouth-watering delicious. Mario was our bartender who not only made tasty drinks but was a delight to talk to! Ashley was a great server - in fact everyone was very friendly and demonstrated great service. We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a lovely dinner experience - ending with very yummy donuts for dessert - a lovely end to a great meal! Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area!

The best meat restaurant in queens. We really enjoyed! Ordered lots of things on the menu! The steak was cooked perfectly-Medium rare. The mixed grill was wonderful. Chicken skewers unbelievable! Duck rolls were wonderful as well! Pizza was very well flavoured and seasoned. Side dishes was well seasoned and great flavour. Roman, Bella, Rafiq, Yana, excellent and attentive service. Our new spot in queens for sure.

What a pleasant local experience. I love finding hidden gems in Queens. The staff is awesome— attentive, caring, and patient. The food was very delicious, the menu super inventive. A great variety of items. That said— I didn’t feel very comfortable in the space. I hope they market to promote more diversity because it’s a really great spot that more people should get to enjoy. So Iam a food critic, I have to say it’s very pricey for that type of food nothing special,very pushy with customers when ordering, portions are not bad, meat was bland taste. You guys should lower your prices and pick up your service.

Surprisingly good service for a kosher restaurant, food is average. Sushi below average and too expensive. You cant charge 30$ for a roll unless is perfect!

Let’s be clear: I wanted to fall in love with this establishment. I will start with strengths: the steak (medium) was both flavorful and well-cooked and the babaganoush was creamy goodness! Hats off for the branzino and we devoured the chocolate molten cake and pistachio ice cream - good stuff, folks! {Deep sigh} Here are the lowlights: Between forgotten orders, cold rice, delayed entrees (while watching others who arrived AFTER our group receive their steaming delectables), and no cocktails, the three hours of poor service was the proverbial arrow to the heart. We watched the love and attention given to the other patrons with both awe and resentment: it did not feel good. Our server and the manager tried to make amends and (when asked) removed a meal from the bill, poured three complimentary glasses of wine, and free dessert (hence, the 3 stars rather than the “2” I intended to give). Most egregious (arguably) was the complete dismissal of our birthday (they were told multiple times) and the subsequent raucous celebration of another (all-male) table’s birthday next to us! While we can acknowledge the atonement efforts, we still felt like afterthoughts and not entirely welcomed. A disappointing experience overall and a dining “non grata” for me.

Union bistro is a phenomenal restaurant with great food. I visited the restaurant for my third time yesterday for a special event. The service was not like it used to be the previous times I went. The table didn’t have napkins, for the dessert I requested they do something special and the waiter said they could do it but it was not done when it came out, the dessert came but waiter didn’t give plates and spoons, had to ask for the bill 2 times until it was given. If it was just a regular outing I wouldn't care as much but because it was a special event, I wanted everything to be as good and special as it can be. I didn't say anything to the waiters and manager but hope things get better.

I visited Union Bistro for my mother's birthday, hoping for a lovely celebration. Unfortunately, we waited over two hours for our food, which was unacceptable, especially with my 85-year-old grandmother at the table who never even got a chance to eat. This experience ruined what should have been a special occasion. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this experience.
