Opinions de Lucky's Coffee Roasters Upland
I visited this coffee shop and had a fantastic experience. The shop is clean and tidy, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are very nice and friendly, making you feel right at home. One of the best aspects is the spaciousness of the shop, which provides a great environment for working without interruptions. In addition to their delicious coffees, they offer sweet treats that are truly delightful—especially the pistachio croissant. Overall, this coffee shop is a wonderful place to relax, work, and enjoy some tasty treats and beverages. Highly recommended!
i don't get why there are any 1 star reviews for this coffee shop but don't believe them! it's a great little shop that has an awesome atmosphere with plenty of seating available inside and out. they have a great menu with a lot of different latte options as well as having some pastries on the front counter ready to order as well. the taste was definitely worth the price on our drinks and we were extremely pleased with how nice the baristas were in helping us decide on our honey drink.
This place rocks. Amazing service, amazing coffee, Super chill vibe. They have pastries that they outsource that are always very tasty. They don't have a kitchen so they are dog friendly. There is a nice couch and long chair in the back which is the perfect area to chill.
I love Lucky’s and I don’t get my coffee anywhere else anymore. I’ve searched for the tastiest Rose coffee, and luckys is my favorite. It’s my standard lol. Baristas are always so friendly and welcoming My favorite is the Lucky’s points. If you plan on coming here often , sign up for points. It’s gotten me two free drinks already. I have $ aside just for Lucky’s daily x) Love this coffee! This is the rose blush, I love mine extra sweet.
An excellent shop hidden in the Inland Empire with wonderfully curated drinks, high quality beans and small town vibes. The Espresso Tonic was refreshing while popular drinks like April Kisses complemented the espresso well w/ strawberry, coconut and chocolate. Excited to try the Columbia Huila decaf as well after trying it as a pourover.
This is the only coffee place in downtown upland that I know of that has has delicious coffee and has a homey vibe, as well and enough seating for studying/working. There are plugs you can use that are part of the high tables to charge your devices. I like that they offer non-dairy milk options such as oat and almond milk. Their lattes are great! Well made and tastes delicious. I also had their seasonal drinks. The pumpkin latte was very warming and reminiscent of a pumpkin pie. I did like that they put pumpkin purée in the drink. I also had their honey cinnamon latte which is my go to. If they will offer it on their regular menu I will definitely be getting this all the time.
Lucky’s coffee is a fantastic local coffee shop! They have their own beans, and the staff is very knowledgeable! If you’re wanting to try something new, I would recommend asking them for their opinions. Their seasonal options are great to try, and they have some pretty great baked goods! I would recommend trying it out if you’re nearby. Something to note, that they take their time to make a quality coffee/latte/tea. So do not expect a quick turnaround.
12 oz Latte was excellent, smooth creamy taste. Nice Vibe to the place. Definitely will return on a regular basis.
Towards the end of the historic downtown Upland, what a gem of a coffee shop! The service was stellar. I came in to look at the menu while my partner was outside with the dog. The cashier/barista was super friendly and said to let them know if I had any questions. After I took a look at the menu, I was asked if I was ready to order which I said I needed to go swap watching the dog and the cashier shared that dogs are allowed inside since they don't serve food, but the doggo did not want to come inside I was deciding between an espresso mule and the April kisses. Honestly, I wanted both, but I ended up ordering the April Kisses. The cashier also let my partner know that dogs can come inside or she could take the menu back outside, after she came inside. My partner shared that our dog didn't want to come in, so after my partner ordered, the cashier/barista said they'd bring the drinks out to us where we were waiting . My partner got the lavender matcha and liked it, however, we both agreed mine was very tasty! As the description suggested, it's like a chocolate covered strawberry. It's also unlike most coffee drinks we typically order. The mocha itself was also confirmed to be dairy free since I have a dairy allergy. Service and drinks are both 10/10! Highly recommend :)
The coffee is so good! Love their seasonal items as well. The Espresso Mule is hands down my favorite drink! They also partner with Butter Cafe for the pastries and you can not go wrong with a cinnamon roll or vegan muffin.
Every single employee I encounter has been nothing but sweet and super friendly. I enjoy my weekly visits for the sweet iced peach tea with brown sugar syrup. It’s the best and most refreshing. Not too sweet either.
Love the keto donuts! I have a gluten allergy and they are so yummy and pretty trustworthy for being “gluten sensitive” barista’s are always so nice and friendly. Best local coffee shop that cares about the quality of the beans used.

Lucky Coffee Roasters is one of my favorite coffee spots in the IE. The coffee is seriously world-class! The drip coffee is excellent; and specialty lattes with creative house-made syrups. If you’re in Upland or Ontario, this is your spot. That said, the cafe itself is slightly unwelcoming. It’s clean and minimal, I get that. But between the very limited coffee bag shelf (for a roaster), very limited pastry / food selection, and the restrooms always being closed off to customers for one reason or another, you get the the feeling that you’re welcome to come buy coffee, but not welcome to stay very long. Which I could understand for an insanely busy cafe, but for the sole cafe in quiet old town Upland, it could just use a little more warmth and welcoming.
Came here with my friend twice and we both agree it's a nice simple Cafe spot. We got a cold brew coffee and they have a good amount of syrups if you don't like your coffe straight black, which I added carmel and mocha syrup and it was PERFECT. I really like the simple decor and they have patio tables which is a plus👍. The customer service from my experience is what you expect from any other Cafe, good but not crazy. Perfect if you want to pick up coffee before work and not be hassled. Definitely come try it.
Hello! I have broken up my review based on categories! See below! Location: I came to Luckys because I’ve tried most of the coffee places and I was tired of going to the generic Starbucks. First, let me say I entered this establishment without the knowledge of previous one star reviews where many complained that masks were optional or limited seating was possible or even claims of employees not wearing mask. Had I known this I might have not come however the entrance clearly states that masks must be worn as well as the barista‘s having masks themselves. With that out of the way the coffee here was amazing, but more on that in a bit! A lot of it is opened up to let air come in and out so you can’t really smell the fragrance of coffee grounds but nonetheless it’s still really good! My biggest gripe with the place is that the menus are really small or they have a very big generic menu that doesn’t really suffice what they could do. The full menu is all the way in the front pushed to the person at the cashier leaving everyone else behind guessing until they are at the very front. I didn’t even get a chance to scan it because it was so awkwardly placed I skimmed over it. I think that’s my only “dude what the heck” with this place is the way the menus are laid out. The Coffee: Much of my experience with coffee has been just black hot coffee. However when trying new places I like to experiment a little to see how far we could go with something. Honey lavender butterfly latte caught my eye as something kind of unique but interesting. Above the name it claims to be caffeine free however the barista‘s were more than accommodating to switch it to be caffeinated by adding cold brew to the mix. Now then another issue I have is that there are NO PRICES LISTED for specialty drinks. Now I might have missed it because as previously stated I did not scan the full menu list due to placement, it left me guessing how much a latte was going to be. Now, apparently they only have 16 ounce cups??? I was kind of surprised not to be able to order a 24 ounce I thought it’s because I came at the end of the day however it is true...strictly 16oz. Employees: honestly some of the raddest people. This place is a little awkward to get used to at first however the baristas really hammered home a strong first impression. I believe his name was Chase Who really confirmed that I will be returning to this location frequently. Not only did he help me out but he was patient with me as well as informative (If I go back there and confirm his name is not Chase I will edit this). Even offered me a water on the way out! Overall: The little annoyances such as having the menu pushed to the front, having the specialty drinks without prices, The limit being 16oz, and now the ever looming fear an employee might go maskless due to previous reviews (even though I did not encounter this) knocked off a star for me. I typically rate harder on those who we’re not CDC compliant however I believe those reviews were just one offs due to confusing times in the past. It would be nice to have at least a 24 ounce option and the full menu be moved closer to the door. The staff is wonderful and the area is really opened up to let airflow through. The coffee here is really really good however I have yet to try a simple espresso or black coffee due to the price almost being the same as a specialty coffee.
Lucky's Coffee Roasters is a nice spot in Upland, wanted to check out a new coffee spot. They didn't have any baked goods by the time we got here not sure if they had sold out or if they just don't sell any on the weekends. So we tried a traditional Macchiato and an Iced Vanilla Honey Latte. Well the Macchiato my sister didn't care for too much, she said it reminded her of that nitro/cold brew taste she doesn't like very much. I don't have a problem with that so I was fine with it, plus its not sweet. The Iced coffee was actually very good, you could actually taste the vanilla and a hint of honey and not one was too overwhelming the drink wasn't too sweet either. We definitely wouldn't mind returning to try different drinks and see if we can try some of the pastries they carry.
A really cool coffee shop with great seating, natural light and a little patio area in front. Drink quality is good and service was excellent. Street parking can be limited but there are parking lots nearby. Good place to work, study or meet up.

Not much of a pastry selection. Atmosphere is a little sterile. Coffee is okay. Great view from the patio.
This was my first time that I visit lucky's Coffee, I order the dirty chai, I was expecting something else, but it was ok but not the best. It needs more spices, and I really don't like the taste of the almond milk, it feels like aspirated milk. I like the location and they are friendly staff. I will giving a another chance soon.

I really love the atmosphere here; it’s inviting and well-curated. The service is okay, though it could be improved. My biggest critique, however, is the coffee itself—it lacks depth and flavor. It would be great if they offered a menu of different bean origins to choose from, but I understand that’s a rare find in California. Coming back from Tokyo, I was hoping to find something of similar quality, but unfortunately, there really isn’t anything quite like it here. That said, I don’t think this is the shop’s fault at all. Economic and cultural factors play a huge role in shaping the coffee scene, and that reflects in the offerings available. At this point, I believe the best way to experience truly high-quality coffee here is to source raw beans, roast them yourself, and brew them to your taste. While this shop has a great environment, I do hope the coffee can improve in the future.
I just came in to try this local shop, it's really close to my house. I saw it on maps 1st so I checked out the menu. I saw they had some savory breakfast options. I was wrong. this location didn't even have half the menu that's online. I ordered a Nutella Croissant instead and the lady at the counter gave me a pumpkin pastry. I won't be going back to this place. the salted caramel latte hot was good tho.

Baristas look like they don’t want to be there, they aren’t friendly, helpful, or attentive. It was my first time here and I’m pretty sure it will be my last.
