Lo consiglio caldamente. Vengo a Roma regolarmente e appena sceso dal treno è il mio posto dove posso pranzare davvero bene. Ottimi piatti tipici, servizio veloce, atmosfera familiare e cordiale grazie al grande spessore umano dei proprietari. Ottimi anche i prezzi.

Un bel posticino alla romana con poca gente, cibi e cordialità eccellenti, necessaria la prenotazione visti gli spazi. Buona soluzione in zona abbastanza centrale. Che carbonara....provatela!!!

Siamo stati ieri sera in questo ristorante per festeggiare due anni di fidanzamento. Il locale è ben curato e accogliente. Il personale molto attento, disponibile e professionale. Abbiamo ordinato una gricia con carciofi fuori menù e un tonnarello cacio e pepe, entrambi magnifici. Abbiamo diviso un saltimbocca alla romana con delle patate al forno, entrambi ottimi. Sarà difficile tornarci essendo di Bologna, ma sicuramente ci rimarrà nel cuore. Alla prossima!

Siamo capitate per caso alla Trattoria da Cecio e siamo rimaste piacevolmente sorprese. Piatti davvero ottimi, con materie prime di grande qualità e una cucina curata, genuina e ben fatta. Si sente l’attenzione per i dettagli e il rispetto della tradizione. Il personale è stato attento, simpatico e accogliente, cosa che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Il locale è piccolo, ma molto confortevole: ci siamo sentite subito a nostro agio. Consigliatissima la prenotazione. Se passate da Roma, vale assolutamente la pena fermarsi.

Tipica trattoria romana non troppo distante dalla stazione Termini che si raggiunge a piedi. Ottimi i tonnarelli alla gricia e gli straccetti di carne. Buono anche il tiramisù finale. Personale abbastanza attento e cordiale. Prezzo forse un po' alto per il tipo di trattoria, ma la qualità lo rende accettabile

Siamo stati a cena per testare qualcosa di speciale: tonnarelli alle vongole, paccheri con funghi e tartufo, tonnarelli con aglio, olio, peperoncino e gamberi. I primi spettacolari! Abbiamo saltato i secondi, preferendo dei contorni tipici come i carciofi alla romana. Infine siamo passati ai dolci: una caprese e una torta ricotta e visciole. I piatti abbondanti e veramente eccezionali! Il personale supercortese e simpatico e un atmosfera conviviale. Esperienza gastronomica super consigliata!

Great selection of delicious authentic Italian food. We had the ricotta tart dessert with cherries recommended by our server. Tagliata grilled, Toranelli, suppli and meatballs. We will come again here! Grazie Mille for the fine food and great service

We came to this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly, the room was cute and the food was amazing!! Super affordable too. Would definitely recommend as they had a huge menu so something for everyone:)

Went on a day trip to Roma and right outside the termini I went straight for this restaurant after reading the reviews. Had the carbonara and it blew my mind. It was so delicious, that it’s been 2 months after coming home and I still daydream about this craving it whenever I remember it. It’s definitely not the same carbonara we used to have at home, but I loved the saltyness, cheesyness, the al dente pasta made from scratch. It looks so simple yet the flavor is just amazing. And don’t get fooled by the pics, because the portion is massive. The plate is huge making it look small, but in reality it’s massive, halfway thru it I was already feeling full and I can eat a lot. So all in all this was well worth the money and I dream to comeback and taste this carbonara again

Great food! Had the carbonara and tiramisu and both were delicious. Staff are pleasant and friendly, though I did have to ask twice for the bill; it took a while. Prices are reasonable. I came at around 1pm and it got slightly busier but I didn’t have to wait to be seated.

I’m visiting Rome for a few days and stumbled upon Trattoria Cecio — what a find! Two of us decided to dine inside after being greeted by the staff, who were all so kind and welcoming even though the place was clearly busy. We were seated almost right away, which was a pleasant surprise. We started with the bruschetta con fonduta di pecorino e cicoria — creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For our mains, we tried the Ravioli con Cacio e Pepe and Fettuccine Vongole e Tartufo. Both dishes were outstanding — simple, rich, and full of that comforting homemade taste. I’m no expert in Italian food, just a happy tourist, but this has been the best meal I’ve had since arriving in Rome three days ago. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

I had a lovely experience dining here on my own. The staff was extremely friendly. Even though I was the only person sitting outside, they made efforts to come check in on me. The bruschetta was simple, but so flavourful and the cacio e peppe was creamy and the noodles were cooked to perfection! Not to mention that it was very fast service!!

When I arrived Roma I randomly selected this one and I had an amazing pasta. Then in the following 2 days I also tried other restaurants, but this one is still my No.1. The cheese is super nice and also the oxtail is very tasty. According to waiter, Tiramisu is also good, but I didn’t try. Maybe next time when I visit Roma I will try. :)

Ho cenato nel mese di luglio. Servizio impeccabile, personale gentilissimo e premuroso. Ho ordinato un antipasto ed un primo, carbonara. Devo dire tutto buono ma la carbonara non è il loro massimo. Ho ordinato un calice di vino della casa…. direi discreto….. rapporto qualità prezzo non ottimale. Nel complesso consigliato!

Pranzo domenicale in due. Ci siamo presentati circa mezz'ora prima dell'orario concordato durante la prenotazione telefonica (13.45) ma i camerieri si sono subito prodigati per trovare un tavolo libero e farci così sedere in pochi minuti. Il personale è cordiale ed il servizio veloce ed efficiente; l'atmosfera informale si adatta perfettamente ad un locale che offre piatti tipici della cucina tradizionale romana. Le porzioni non sono particolarmente abbondanti ma l'aspetto delle portate è molto piacevole alla vista. I piatti che abbiamo scelto erano tutti molto buoni e saporiti tranne i carciofi alla romana che non abbiamo trovato particolarmente gustosi. L'antipasto che abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato per originalità e sapore è stata la Mozzarella di Bufala Tartufata. Il menù è davvero vario con ampia scelta di piatti tipici della cucina tradizionale romana. Consiglio senz'altro questo locale a pochi passi dalla Stazione Termini; esperienza molto piacevole.

A quiet dinner at Trattoria Cecio near my B&B. I had lamb, a Roman specialty (and my favorite), along with some spicy sautéed cicoria (dandelion greens). For dessert, a ricotta torte. Good food and service. The place was packed so I invited another solo female traveler to join me so she didn’t get turned away!

Trattoria Cecio is a lovely Roman restaurant near the main Termini station. There is (with AC) indoor and al fresco dining. The food is typically Italian - fresh tasty, not too heavy. I would visit again if I was in Rome. Except to pay €15-20 for a pasta dish which is typical these days.

Carbonara was tasty, bacon wasn't very crispy. Oxtail pasta was alright in terms of taste, wish there was more meat. Nonetheless a good meal.

I can confirm it’s more a touristic trap than an original osteria 😥 we had a quick lunch before catching our train (it’s very close to Termini train station, which is convenient) but we cannot agree with the many positive reviews. Truth to be told, most of them are written by tourists and so are the many customers we saw today. It’s a pity cause they have a little nice dehors and the supplì were actually good! Unfortunately both pasta dishes (matriciana and gricia) were not only not traditional, but also not good and very heavy to digest 😕

We came back after 4 years with a great memory, but sadly we found a completely different place: very high prices, smaller portions and disappointing quality. After just a plate of pasta we felt heavy and uncomfortable. Such a letdown, a typical tourist trap. Too bad, a nice memory ruined.

after the meal, I suffered from severe diarrhea….. That’s the only meal I had that day. ————————————————————————- I’m really sorry to get such an arrogant and irresponsible reply from the restaurant. Do all those” 150 daily customers” order the exact same stuff as me? Take the Trippa Alla Romana I had that night. Out of nearly 4,000 Google reviews, only 8 even mention it. That day, or maybe even that whole month, I could’ve been the only one who picked it.

Everything is nice, service, atmosphere. The only thing that needs to be improved is their food. Poor quality. Taste bad. Waste of money. Prosciutto di parma was too salty, smelly and bloody. Carbonara is too salty with very yellow cheese. Feels like it’s McDonald’s cheese. Cant finish all the dishes. Very nauseous to swallow, even though it’s very late and i’m very hungry.
