I have loved this Decatur staple for years. I even celebrated my 18th birthday here! My favorites include the lamb empanadas, side salad, the chicken arroz chaufa and of course the pollo a la brasas. The serves are all really nice too.

💯 EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT AND RECCOMMEND! we ordered the family meal, 1/2 fried and 1/2 rotisserie chicken. Everything was tender and amazing flavor. Note, it's take out only this month while they are remodeling, but you can sit outside so you can eat it fresh. I think they reopen the dining seating area next month.

I was really surprised to have been driving past Las Brasas as long as I have without ever paying them a visit. My wife finally pointed it out and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, service, and the scenery. Only problem might turning into their parking lot on a busy day because of their close proximity to the intersection.

We sat outside and enjoyed a late afternoon meal at Las Brasas. Their lunch menu is limited, but they have a good selection for dinner. We ordered the grilled octopus & yucca, elotes, seafood fried rice, and family pollo a la Brasa. My favorite was the fried rice; it was so good with a smokey flavor. My least favorite was the grilled octopus as it was a little chewy and slimy; not sure if it was actually grilled at all. Overall, we had a great meal and there's plenty of parking.

Came here for the first time on a chill Saturday night. Ordered the chicken soup which was my favorite due to not enough flavor but the real star of the menu is the fried rice which everyone raves about. My bartender Shelley really made my night with those delicious cocktails and sweet personality. Will for sure need to come back when she’s at the bar.

The Pollo a la Brasa left us satisfied and full. Everything was good, and the family portion is perfect for 3–4 people. The staff is super friendly, even during the busiest times. It does get crowded, so come prepared!

Great food. We went on a Saturday night. The place is a little small and it fills up quickly. We came at just the right time and were seated right away. The food was excellent. Literally every dish thing we ordered was delicious. I had the 1/2 chicken with fries, it was awesome. My wife ordered the Arroz Chaufa Mariscos Mixto and we got the calamari and yucca as well. Warning. The Arroz Chaufa is a huge serving. Two if not 3 people can easily eat off it. We tried the Peachy Keen cocktail as well, loved it. I had been thinking of coming here for years, I should have come a long time ago. Now I will say that the place didn't strike me as being overly authentic, but admittedly I'm not well versed in Peruvian cuisine. But I will most certainly vouch for the food. Authentic or not, it was really, really good. **Update: I recently returned for lunch and tried the chicken and spinach wrap which was also good. The service was stil good as well, nice to see consistency. The only thing I didn't like is that they automatically added the tip in for a party of 2. I mention this only as an FYI because I personally I don't like that practice, especially for just 2 people. And I like it even less when they don't tell you up front that they automatically add the gratuity to the bill.

This use to be a great spot. I’ve been twice now since renovations- chicken is dry, steak meal had very few pieces of steak mixed in with a bunch of of soggy fries, chocolate cake with whipped cream came with no whipped cream and was dry. This is the second time in a year that I have come to this place of which I rarely come to, and they have forgotten a piece of my order. I live over an hour away and I used to love coming to this place, but since I moved, I come rarely and so it is very disappointing that I’ve come twice and they’ve missed items. Recently this past Saturday, I ordered food and they forgot a whole chicken that I had ordered, and when I called in that same evening, I was informed that as a complementary, I would be giving another side piece of chicken as well as the whole piece that was missing. However, upon arrival on Sunday, I only received a whole chicken and I did not receive half of the chicken and also I was unable to speak with management and whoever I spoke with over the phone on Saturday to raise a concern as the clerk that was present did not know of the situation. In other words, this inconvenience was not passed around.

The food is really good, but a plate of 5 small chunks of beef and 2 slices of potatoes is not worth what we paid for. We bought two of this same dish for $60! The receipt was not itemized, so we had to ask what we were paying for. On top of this lunch (more of a snack) being so expensive, we were charged a “to go” fee. Keep in mind that dining in is closed due to renovations, so it’s not the customers’ fault that we’re forced to take our food out. Why the ‘to go’ fee then?

The food has a different flavor, chicken tasted blend uncooked. I’ve been a customer for a while but today was the worst experience.

The Peruvian rotisserie chicken was not good at all and was not worth the price. The chicken was flavorless and there was a long curly white hair on the food. The beans were not original to Peru’s original flavors or anything close to it. The Flan did not taste fresh. This was my first and last time here, honestly extremely disappointed. I spent over $70 for some mid food. The only thing I recommend from here is the INCA KOLA.

Disappointed with My Visit to Las Brasas I had a one-time experience at Las Brasas today, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I ordered the half chicken, which cost around $20, but it neither looked nor tasted like it was worth the price. The chicken had an off-putting smell and did not taste fresh at all. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt uninviting—almost like stepping into the back end of a kitchen rather than a welcoming dining space. I also noticed staff preparing food without proper hair protection, which raised hygiene concerns. As someone familiar with authentic Peruvian cuisine, I have to say this meal did not reflect the rich flavors and quality that Peruvian food is known for. In my opinion, it did a disservice to the cuisine, and I will not be returning. I wish them the best, but my experience was far from what I expected.
