Delicious food! Great service! Remodel is a nice improvement! Why go anywhere else for breakfast or lunch?
Like always, great food, great people. Noisey, but it's a family restaurant. Can't go wrong here.
Omg! I got the monte cristo sandwich, and I am obsessed. I'm usually so indecisive but I think this is the only breakfast meal I ever want to order! I will try to order other things off the menu (because I'm sure it's amazing too), but this was just soo delicious. The crispiness and the perfectly hand sliced piece of the most perfect textures ham 🤤🤌. Breakfast is my favorite food and this is by far the best breakfast ever! I will make sure to come by any time I'm in town visiting family.
Its nice but it goes off of a dirt road , so you have to make sure your car is parked safely when you're entering
Ate there 4 times in a week. Tried something different each time. Food was elevated. The preserves were home made. The service was fast. The waitresses were friendly, polite, and courteous.
My benchmark breakfast. Simply the best corned beef hash I’ve had and I’ve had lots. All the food we ordered was great too, everyone really happy with their choices. Service is some of the best we’ve had on our USA trip too 👍 We stayed in Visalia (really like the town too) for two nights to visit the Sequoia NP, found Mama K’s on a recommendation at the hotel. Went back for the second morning’s breakfast 🍳👍👍 😋
Ordered the breakfast burrito and had them put a side of hash browns inside the burrito as well as avocado!! It was HUGE! Definitely can feed two people. Had to take half of it in a to go box. The biscuits are also very good. Classic country vibe and very nice and helpful staff. Highly recommend :)
Tried them for a breakfast with niece and her kids and husband. After driving past and making au turn we drove on the dirt parking lot into the driveway. We were rewarded with a great meal, superior service and decent prices. When they say the pancakes are big believe them! They were larger than the plate and tasted great. (I am a lifetime pancake lover with a record of 32 dollar size in one sitting). The kids plates can serve two in the 7 and under crowd. Omelets, waffles, eggs and biscuits and gravy were all excellent. Sausage was tasty. Coffee was good and plentiful with a table carafe. Nothing fancy in the decor, but the rest was delightful. We will be back for the full page of hamburgers another day!
Delicious and enormous pancakes! Big Garden Omelette and other food ordered by family looked great. No complaints either. Atmosphere a little too rustic but looks like some renovation is coming. Seems to be a very popular place. Service is fast and very friendly. Prices are okay for the portions they serve.
Wonderful home in the wall (or lot) breakfast place. Food portions are wonderful, great service and feels very welcoming while you enjoy time with friends, family or a special someone. Homemade jam was amazing as well. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!
Wow, local gem is an understatement. The service is fantastic, thd food delicious, the servings enormous and the experience one I want to repeat again...maybe tomorrow!! I can't wait to try other menu items. I had a 1/2 serving of the French toast with bacon, eggs and potatoes. I couldn't finish it all!! My partner had the Visalia biscuits snd gravy and are every bite. We love the carafe of coffee on the table too.
Mama K’s is off the beaten path at the livestock yard but definitely worth the stop! Food was delicious! Portions were huge! Best ice tea! We are driving across country from Ohio and this was one of our best stops for breakfast! Wait staff were very welcoming!
Really good breakfast with large portions. Service was good and quick once you got a seat. I would expect a wait at this place to get a seat but it is definitely worth it. Place was recommended from a friend and definitely a good option for down home cooking.
My first time to this gem hidden away in the back of a livestock yard. Everything that came off of the kitchen looked delicious. I had the monte cristo sandwich. My husband had the biscuits and gravy breakfast. The food was phenomenal.
First time here. Wonderful breakfast with delicious food, huge portions and excellent service. Our server Jo was excellent. The Ultimate Stuffed Homemade Biscuit with Scrambled Eggs, Linguica, Hash Brown and smothered with the sausage gravy was so yummy!!! The selections looked wonderful and looking forward to trying their lunch menu. We will definitely be coming back.
First time trying this restaurant and I'm impressed. Food is tasty, very grandma/mom home styled. There is a huge selection of choices. The portion is fairly big (i went for late lunch and had some leftovers for dinner).
Mama K's has become one of our favorite places to have breakfast. Very welcoming & super friendly staff. Seating is a little tight but this has always made each one of our visits special, we've always had the opportunity to meet new people that were willing to carry conversation & also compare what each person orders & what their favorites are. Doing so has the wifey & I trying something different with each visit. The cheesy hash brown casserole has become one of my favorite sides, it's a must try🥘🤤
Some of the best food in the valley hands down youll have to see for yourself everything is awesome 👌
Great food and wonderful service. A friend told us we should try it, and they were not wrong. The biscuits and gravy was delicious, biscuits were nice and soft, and what flavor. Their country potatoes were absolutely delicious, nice amount of bell peppers & onions cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were pillowy soft on the inside but crispy delicious on the outside. We both had the chicken fried steak, so great I'll order it again & again. The only thing I didn't like, they serve the coffee in a little carafe. It's not enough for 2 people to have 2 cups each. I prefer it when they just continue to top you off from time to time. But I can live with that if I have to. We'll be back for sure!

If you want a relaxed atmosphere, clean and homey, this is the place. It’s not big but it’s nice to eat with family and friends somewhere you don’t feel you’re getting rushed out. Even though it’s smaller and the coffee it’s pretty average, they keep it flowing. The food is basic with a big handful of specialty dishes and desserts. They have a separate counter for the most delicious handmade pastry and desserts. Give these folks a try!
Hidden gem! The absolute best food, best service! Went for my birthday had a party of 7... we weren't able to be sat until everyone arrived which I totally understand. It was no worries. The servers all worked together and helped each other out. The food was perfect. Best eggs Benedict I've ever had. Thank you to Tori for putting up with all of us and shout out to Priscilla for running around constantly cleaning and bringing food and drinks out. We will for sure be back !!!

Pretty consistently good food and the staff is nice. The only thing that's kind of a bummer is they're almost always packed. I guess that's a pretty good problem to have.
I visit this place about 4 to 5 times a month, and the food is fantastic with generally great customer service from the staff. However, today when I asked for a refill on my to-go cup of strawberry lemonade, a new waitress attempted to charge me for it. I politely declined, and another waitress came by and refilled my lemonade without any issue. It’s not wise to risk losing loyal customers over a simple refill for lemonade.
Came here on a Friday morning. Wasn't too busy, but got busier when I was leaving. It's kind of hard to find on Ben Maddox, so once you pass Goshen going north on Ben Maddox the entrance is right after the factory on the left corner. When you drive in go to the end. It's in the red barn. We seated ourselves since it wasn't too busy. The menu is extensive, so there's a lot to choose from. The majority of the items are the same thing you find in most breakfast spots in town. I did find one different item, which I ordered, the Papa Dan's plate. Eggs with ground beef, spinach, mushrooms, herbs and parmesan cheese. As a side I got their cheesy hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy. I really liked the combination used on the eggs, and they weren't shy on portions. The cheesy hash brown was decent, but adding some pepper will living it up more. The biscuits and gravy were decent. Overall, I enjoyed the plate that I got. The portions were good and the price made sense considering the amount you got. The service was great and promp. A highlight was their strawberry jam they sell to go. So delicious! Highly recommended.
The amount of food you get for the price is awesome. The omelet, potatoes, burger and fries were all delicious! The gravy had too much cornstarch or flour so it didn't taste like gravy as much as the thickener. We also got a yummy croissant that got eaten so fast, we didn't get a picture. They have tons of home baked goods, it smells amazing inside, and the staff is friendly. It was a busy Saturday morning so the service was okay. I had to ask for the hot cocoa and pastry twice, we weren't checked on at all, and had to stop someone to ask for boxes and out check. We got our food really quickly and it was hot and fresh. For the value, this is a must try!
Great breakfast place to bring your family. You can never go wrong with breakfast, and it's hard to mess up your order. I especially love their homemade jam. They have the best jam in town. The egg omelet is bomb!! I wish their hash brown is more seasoned with a little spice. Quantity but not quality
We were from out of town and we almost missed it we were thinking this can't be it. So I turned right into the dirt lot and head to the back way back and it almost looks like it's part of the stockyards right there and you can see the cattle in the yard which was fine by us. Food was good, the portions were good sized the girls were really nice who served us. I can't say much for the homemade jelly cuz my mom makes 10 star strawberry jelly. Thank God Google took us back there because I would have never ever ever ever ever have found it definitely worth the drive. I am sure the locals all know where this is all I can say.

Food is always very good. Service is sometimes slow when they are busy but not so much that is really detracts from the experience. The atmosphere is very good although when they get busy, it gets incredibly loud inside. All in all it is a very good place to eat with reasonable prices.
Down home hearty meals. Locals restaurant. Patio seating. Warm welcoming wait staff. Bottomless coffee and yummy desserts . Family atmosphere serving up a batch of hospitality with a side of comfort! Definitely a must try.

As promised, here is my review. We waited for about 45 min to be seated. We were 3 small kids and 3 adults. They couldn't seat us on a regular bench even though we were able to fit. According to the manager, they can't sit 6 people on a bench and we had to wait even longer. I didn't know there was a rule. We've been there before. The food is alright. The service is okay. Not worth the money. Don't mind, you have to pay extra for a party of 6 or over. I'm not okay paying extra when I had to wait standing up for such a long time. Hopefully, they figure it out a way to deliver quality service in timely manner.
Totally disappointed. 1st experience and i am definitely not impressed. I recieverd my food ice cold. Staff wasnt very pleasant and being as busy as they were youd think this place was amazing! Totally feel like I waisted my time and not sure ill even go back
My wife and I show but my two sons where on the way, they make us wait 5 min til they show up, I was ok with that, while we were ordering there was an other couple that checkin for four and they were sited right away and wait to order til their friends come in. The difference was that they know waitress. Cesar salad picture in their menu looks way better than real plate. I got something similar to Walmart salad from the fridge, small, chicken didn't look grill and was unflavored not even salt added.

Updating my review 12/7 on account of poor service to 2 stars. What is the point of a waiting list if you are going to skip people who arrived first in order to seat others? Don’t eat here when they’re busy since you’ll sit in the cold waiting for them to seat you at their convenience. No such thing as first come first served here. Portions are massive, flavors are on point — Mama K’s is where it’s at Just gonna let the photos speak for themselves here. Every plate at Mama K’s looks like it was made by someone’s grandma who really wants you to nap afterward. We ordered a spread and everything was amazing — well-seasoned, cooked perfectly, and borderline excessive in the best way. • The gravy-covered mountain with biscuit on top? Insane. Delicious and rich, but absolutely a share-with-someone plate unless you’re a lumberjack. • The scrambled plate with sausage, potatoes, and fruit? Balanced, filling, and fresh. • And that steak and eggs combo with a side of French toast? Easily one of the best diner breakfasts I’ve had in town. The steak was actually well-cooked — not always guaranteed at a breakfast spot. Also — shoutout to the hashbrown casserole. Criminally good. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and hands down our go-to breakfast spot in Visalia now. Way better than that other place I reviewed — the one that doesn’t even deserve to be named. 5 stars. Just go. And maybe bring backup.
So i dont know what's going on? I used to love this place but the food has gotten smaller prices higher and not as good as what it used to be used to be able to leave this place feeling full went to breakfast two people over 40 bucks. Ended up going home, making a couple eggs, cause i was still hungry. Also seems like a lot of new staff? I love the remodel. They did a good job with that. Don't plan on going back at this point and I'm not the only one I've talked to a few people Today and they also said the same thing that the food has gotten a lot smaller than what it used to be, and the prices seem to be getting higher! I sure hope they fix this or more people Are gonna stop going?
Wait time was good , however the food was mediocre. Stinky eggs , raw-ish hash browns and room temperature pre-made orange juice . We heard great things, but the experience and food left much to be desired. 53.00 for mid grade food for two people .

What a disappointment today. It's always been good But, today was horrible to say the least and it was 6 different breakfast plates. WHAT HAPPENED!!! ALL OF US ARE NOT GOING BACK. WE CANT BELIEVE IT.
I wish I could say we got to eat! We were put on the wait list because of the wait, yet I noticed people were getting seated as they came in, me thinking they had a reservation I started being nosy, and realized they were being sat ahead of the list! The people here coming from the kitchen weren't wearing hair nets and the seating arrangement is a disaster inside! I don't know how the fire Marshall approved this establishment inside!
After a 45 minute wait to sit down a man wearing gloves who just got done wiping tables down served us the drinks with the same gloves. It then took another 15 minutes for them to come collect our food order. By the end of the meal me and my partners water had been empty for about 25 minutes. My eggs Benedict had egg shell in it? My friends burrito was so greasy she couldn’t eat it and the pancakes were so tough it was a work out to chew them. We also asked them to split the check but they mixed up our drink orders and food orders so our checks were wrong. And they hadn’t brought our friends ticket with the other food on it. Atmosphere was okay I guess. Written at the table.
The service here is terrible. For how high the prices are you would think the waitress could at least smile. Demanded me to order. Never checked on me. Made a mistake on my check through a fit about taking it off the bill. Waste of $91 dollars… second time here won’t ever be back.
