Current popular artsy coffee shop. Great avocado breads and hand made donuts. Employees add a great vibe and parking is free if you park at the theaters. Finally, they have a nice deck in front for sunny days. Yes, this should be on your list for a good conversation with your dear friend. ….I hope the new shake shack opening next door does not change it.

Rooted is my go to when in Walnut Creek! For vegans and non vegans alike, you will simply LOVE the food here, all fresh and organic! There are too many yummy options to choose from but I really enjoyed the avo toast, topped with chickpeas! Try it…you won’t regret it!

Delicious vegan coffee shop. The dirty chai with ginger was amazing along with all the food! The Oh Mega donut is naturally gluten free and reminds me of a delicious banana/pumpkin bread.

Love this cafe! Just stopped by for the first time on my roadtrip. Great variety of caffeinated drinks, smoothie, and other bottled drinks. I got a matcha latte with macadamia milk, so smooth and nutty, without overpowering the matcha. Also they have an extensive and curated menu for food. The carrot miso salad is so so delicious. The fresh and balanced ingredients along with the unique miso dressing made me genuinely feel delighted and thankful!

Amazing! Strictly plant based and crushing it! As a vegan baker and pasty maker, this place has it dialed in and I was truly impressed! They checked all the boxes. Customer service was off the hook, all of the food and coffee we tried was stellar, and the vibe was so nice and chill! If you’re vegan and love a good vegan pastry and coffee this is your place! I’m not sure if the menu is also fully gluten free, but everything we saw was gluten free, including the waffles! (Photo attached). All time favorite breaky spot!! Please open one up in Bend OR:)

I love their unique taste of the coffee, also mint latte was quite refreshing, I think mint tea is better than coffee. However, I was happy to try it. I also like their blueberry donut, it was not very sweet which I liked! I will be back for latte!!!

If you’re vegan or vegetarian and needs your daily dose of caffeine, this is the best place for you. Everything is vegan! I’m on a quest to find the best coffee shops to study and get work done. I went in at lunchtime on a Tuesday and the place is packed, so it was kind of hard to find a good spot to study and focus. I ordered the Breakfast Sammy which was sooooo good! I want to get another one. LOL. The cheese, egg, and patty is all plant-based. I really like the inviting rustic feel of the place as well as the plants all over. The staff members are all cool and friendly.

Delicious vegan cafe with THE best avocado toasts - whether you’re vegan or not! (Which I am not so it’s honestly shocking how much I love this place) The bread is so soft & dreamy, the avocado whip is so fluffy, and they have lots of variations that are all so good. They also make their own simple syrups which I always look for in a coffee shop. Today I ordered their signature Orange Rosemary Latte and the Strawberry Fields Avocado Toast. So freakin good. I own my own business but sometimes I just wanna work here for fun lol. Such a great atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place. I come here almost every morning and I don't have to worry about asking for non-dairy options, since everything on the menu is plant based. 😋. What a blessing to have such a place in Walnut Creek. The vegan croissant breakfast sandwich with avocado 🥑 is amazing. I highly recommend it. 👌

One of the things I loved while I was in Sydney Australia was how many dog friendly places there were. I wish there were more places like that here in Walnut Creek. I found one in Rooted. Some cafes say they are dog friendly, but they won't let you bring the dog in just to order. Not so with Rooted The coffee was really good, and the cinnamon donut completed the mid day snack. With that said, the atmosphere is what I loved most about rooted. I highly recommend this place.

We LOVE Rooted. No where else make Avacado Toast like here. The combination of the bread, the cashew cream cheese the way they mash the avocado. The hemp seeds on top. Yum! Yum! And for spicy people they have red chili flakes. The staff are always friendly, they laugh at my old lady jokes!!

Hopefully, these small things can be improved, because overall, Rooted Coffee Co. is a fantastic place that I always enjoy visiting.

Easy to get a parking spot early in front of the shop. Coffee/espresso was tasty even with coconut milk. It’s non-dairy and not nut allergy friendly so ask before you order.

I was forced to have macadamia milk in my coffee as I have an intolerence to most non dairy milk (first time having macademia milk). I am a sweet coffee drinker and the brown sugar cold brew was bland and she offered to make it sweeter but I did not even like the taste of the coffee itself. The crumb donut was amazing though so I will give them that.

i came here like two years ago, bought a matcha, it was terrible, and i never came back. until today. i gave it another shot, and it was still bad.
