There’s something comforting about returning to a place where your child smiles every single time you order their favorite meal. For us, it’s the Kids Crispy Chicken Bites at The Habit. It has become our little ritual — a simple joy in the middle of a busy day. The chicken is always flavorful and satisfying, and my son enjoys it with such delight that it makes the experience special for both of us. That said, I’ve noticed an interesting inconsistency: the portion size — especially the fries — can vary not just between locations, but even from one visit to the next at the same branch. Sometimes the fries come perfectly golden and generous, and other times they’re fewer and a bit overdone. Still, the warm energy of the staff, the lively atmosphere, and the consistent quality of the main dish keep us coming back. It’s one of those places that feels familiar — even when the details change. Thank you for the smiles, the flavors, and the memories.

I stopped by this location when I got off work because the Habit near where I live did not have the cinnamon toast crunch shake. I am so glad I stopped by here because there were so many great things I experienced. 1. All staff welcomed me in, 2. Lobby was clean and one worker was actively cleaning between each customer, 3. Wait time was short. I would have given them a 5 star but one of my salads was wrong and the shake was not the best. Bummer, but overall great location and recommend. I will not be returning to the one near my home

First time eating here. Absolute worst burger I have ever had! Meat was like a hockey puck, well done is an understatement! No flavor, comparable to McDonald's but less flavor. About a 1/3 lb of lettuce there was more lettuce than meat, extra soggy tomato. Onion rings and fries were good and decent milkshake. Extra burger was given to dogs.

This was my first time eating at The Habit and I was excited because I thought it would taste better or youd get more for your money but it was not. I would not eat there again because I personally didn't like it.

I was told that I could not eat in the dining room so I ate outside . I was then told I could not eat my food outside either because they were closed. The bigger Latina manager who works the front cashier needs to be reprimanded for her behavior, completely unacceptable.

This review gets one star only because the bank refunded the charge to my card immediately. Online order, couldn’t get a confirmation that the order was processed. But my credit card was charged anyway. Called the “store” which connects you to a remote call center. I explained the problem to two different people, the second guy told me just to drive to the store (Walnut Creek on Geary Rd) to see if the order went through. Drive down, no order, plus the manager seemed like she could care less. Last time ordering or eating there. And the food is about 1/2 step up from McD’s anyway.

In my opinion the habit burger and Grill doesn’t have very good customer service at any of its locations. This Walnut Creek location is one of the worst. I ordered a meal for pick up and was notified through text message that my order was ready. When I asked the gentleman at the counter if my order was ready, he said no. And then he actually looked for it and found out that it was ready. I didn’t appreciate that. When I asked him if I could have a side of ranch dressing because it was not available to order through the website, he told me that I had to go over to the register and pay extra for it.. I paid the price. I received the ranch and I clarified the size because they used to have two sizes a small and a large and when she charged me $.60 she gave me the small and I wanted to make sure that that was the only option. I took the ranch and as I walked away, I heard her telling her trainee that sometimes people get mad that they charge for ranch. I didn’t appreciate that employee talking about like that in front of me. I wanted to go back and say something to her her or the gentleman that she was trying to order the manager that was there told me that my order was but I can tell that this company doesn’t care about their customers so I’m just gonna write a review here to get it off my chest.

Where’s the beef? Burger is paper thin. Ordered the cheeseburger but got bun and lettuce. Did the meat get smaller suddenly? Not worth the price in my opinion, used to be good.

I recommend another location! The people are nice but my burger was pink! I got sick and with stomach flu. I also asked for grilled onions and somehow got raw onions

We haven't been here in a long time. The prices went up quite a bit for two people it was $40 for hamburgers. I had a chicken sandwich that was over $10 they used to put a breast in there and now it's just shredded chicken in there and they barely put any chicken in its half bread half chicken in the sandwich. Definitely not worth $10. Here's the kicker my son with Down Syndrome went up there to ask for some ranch dressing for his french fries they wouldn't give him any they charged us $0.66 extra for the ranch dressing and the container wasn't even full all the way! My son likes this place but we are not coming back.

My order was made incorrectly, when I made them aware the manager and the staff that were responsible for cooking behind the grill was unprofessional and and rude. They made me feel like I was an inconvenience to make my order the way I wanted and to make it right. Will not return . If there is an issue with a customers order , you should talk amongst yourselves in a different language as I’m not aware of what they are saying.
