We enjoyed this amazing restaurant for dinner tonight with our aunt and uncle that live here. What a fun place and the decor and ambiance is perfect. I absolutely loved the tapas style of eating and every dish we had was delicious. And we had the best server with making sure we were happy all the time and accommodating one in our group with a food allergy. Very attentive!!

This place is such a gem. My daughter and I had a rare lunch alone and we loved every taste and even the timing of dishes was perfect! The Brussels sprouts and asparagus, tacos and shrimp over cornbread were a perfect meal for two. I had an NA beer and my daughter the staff picks white wine flight!

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. Their outdoor sitting in a quiet bylane is especially enchanting! All of the entrées we ordered were really delicious, but we especially loved their house fries and their potato leek soup, served in shot glasses. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Great wine selection and quick bites! We tried several appetizers they were really tasty. We let the waiter pick our flights and he did a great job! It’s a bit pricey but so is everything in this area.

I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this place before. The food here is amazing, only downside is it’s quite expensive but that’s a given considering the quality . The exterior of the restaurant is super nice and secluded and I love the big tree feature. Only thing I did not like about this place was our server in particular who did not have a friendly attitude and was being rude to one of the cooks who did not have very good English. But the other waiters who we interacted with were very friendly. Personal favorite dish was the beef cigars!

This restaurant is a gem, especially if you enjoy dining al fresco. The outdoor area is beautifully designed, offering a relaxing and picturesque setting with ample greenery and comfortable seating. It's the perfect spot to savor your meal on a sunny day or a pleasant evening. The food is equally impressive, with a menu that boasts a variety of delicious options. The beet salad and miso ginger code topped on a potato cake were divine. Overall, the combination of excellent food and a fantastic outdoor ambiance makes this place a standout choice for any meal.

This place is very busy. We made reservation for outside on line. It started busy already. The host arranged a nice table. The environment looks like a beautiful garden. The food we ordered are fantastic.Braised Beef Short Rib,Beet salad ,Alaskan black cod, Dessert samplers platter Cheese platter . Very tasty! Good service! All in all they are worth to have a try!

If you're looking for that place that makes those beautiful dishes you see on TV, then this is the place. The plates are kind of small, but the flavors will amaze you. The chefs here are first class. The service is excellent, and the bar and wine cellar well stocked. I like to rate places on how far I would drive to go there, I would easily drive over an hour to eat here.

This place was a solid A in my book! I took my wife here for her birthday and we loved it. She was very impressed. The vibe was great! Service, food, and drinks were also really good. The price was as I expected, but it could always be better 😁. Overall, I'd strongly recommend this place and will be back for date nights in the future. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I saw a heat lamp or two, but I don't know if all outdoor seating has a heat lamp so dress warm if you go that route at night. Truly amazing. Just happened to walk in. Beautiful decor and super friendly staff. Felt very welcomed. Simple and elegant menu. Food was very fresh. Excellent recommendations from our server. Every dish was perfect. We will definitely be back every time.

We came because dogs are welcome outside and our kids said it was a great place. We loved the heat from the fire pit. For 4 we ordered 8 tapas but our favorites were the Alaskan black cod, short ribs, beet salad, lobster and shrimp. Each dish was artistically presented and bursting with flavor. I loved how only 2 dishes were brought out at a time so we could eat them while they were hot. It was a wonderful meal!!!

I have been here a few times and they have yet to disappoint. The service is quick and the food is wonderful. Most of the menu is small portions so you can sample a few dishes for one meal. They have a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails as well. My favorite spot is actually the chefs table. My wife and I love to sit there and watch the cooks in action during the rush, it's almost meditative. Will be here again and again!

I've gone several times. Food is getting inconsistent. Ranges from fine to fantastic. Nothing has been awful though. Vibe is great. Staff and service are great. For the price, would like the food to be reliable. For now, I'll still continue to visit but maybe less frequently.

Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar in Walnut Creek offers an experience that excels in ambiance and presentation but falters in delivering consistent culinary satisfaction. The service was outstanding. Our server skillfully managed the tight 1.5-hour table turnover, ensuring we kept pace with the kitchen while still enjoying our meal. The hostess, equally adept, finessed a last-minute reservation with grace—commendable touches that showcased attentive hospitality. However, the food itself was a mixed bag. Each small plate impressed visually but largely disappointed in flavor, with the exception of the butternut squash soup shots. These provided a sip of autumn warmth, boasting rich, creamy textures and well-balanced spices. Unfortunately, they were served in glass shot glasses that became too hot to handle, delaying enjoyment. The risotto lacked the depth of butternut squash flavor and was under-seasoned, making for a forgettable dish. The braised short ribs, served with polenta, failed to justify their price point. A longer braise could have developed more robust flavors, but the portion size and execution fell short. The Brussels sprouts dish was similarly flawed—overwhelmed by the tangy bitterness of unsweetened pears and pomegranate seeds, with Greek yogurt exacerbating the imbalance. Only the cod stood out as a highlight, with impeccable preparation and flavor, though its $21 price tag demanded excellence. The restaurant’s aesthetics are well-curated, creating a sophisticated dining environment. However, one can’t help but wonder if the prime location is inflating prices and detracting from the emphasis on culinary quality. While the presentation of the dishes was professional, the flavors felt secondary, leaving diners to rely on ambiance to justify the premium cost. Va de Vi has potential but needs to refine its focus on delivering standout flavors to match its visual and atmospheric appeal.

Way to small of cut. Other people have uploaded photos and you can see that I got half the size them and then when I was walking out, I seen them bringing the same meal two tables in their cuts were way bigger than mine. I hate just laughed
