Opinions de Taco Bell Shirley
Amazing experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with authentic spices. The Pad Thai and Green Curry were absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Service was quick, and the restaurant had a cozy, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places for Thai food — I will surely come back again! 🍜🌶️
Torsap Thai Kitchen is excellent across the board. They have amazing food, friendly service, great ambiance, and impressive consistency every visit. Loved the classic 80’s music vibe too. Rarely do I feel the draw to return to a restaurant!
This place is great! Service is always top notch, and the food doesn’t miss. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant but you get what you pay for and it’s well priced. Can’t emphasize the quality of service here enough.
Everything was amazing. I had a coconut soup and it was so good I gasped when I tasted it. I had lamb with coconut curry (I forgot the name of both my dishes) and the lamb was very tender and juicy. The curry was immaculate. I tasted my friend's dishes as well, everything was top tier. I can't wait to come back. It was busy and we had to wait but it was worth every minute and the staff were very nice and friendly.
Torsap was the perfect spot for our regional holiday dinner. Gunn, our server was the best! Request him if you can! He was very attentive, and genuinely nice! The food was delicious and the presentation matched the beautiful ambience. 5 stars all the way around.
The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. I appreciate that it has an upscale look while still offering the option to watch a game on the TV screens around the bar area. The food was enjoyable, though I believe it would be helpful if the staff asked guests whether they prefer their dishes mild, medium, or spicy. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Crab Fried Rice, and Garlic Wings as my appetizer. I also had a mocktail since I do not drink alcohol. It was intended to be a Strawberry Daiquiri, but it did not contain any strawberries, and the texture resembled a slushy mixed with Sprite and red coloring. It tasted more like a Shirley Temple than a traditional Daiquiri, which was disappointing. Overall, the food and service were good, but the mocktail could be improved.
My wife and I were moving and almost forgot about our 13 year anniversary because we have been so busy, we needed a little something special tonight for ourselves and found this place. The food and drinks were amazing and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The price for food was very reasonable, the drinks were a little on the high end but very good and well worth the overall experience. we will be back again!
We met my friend for her surprise birthday party. The venu was beautiful, we sat on the patio, we had about 20 guests. The servers were great, because it was a packed house. They were very friendly and got pur orders done right the first time. The food was delicious, I had the Yellow Curry Chicken, with rice and steamed veggies. Perfect to keep in line with my nutritional goals. My girlfriend had the salmon 😋 and salad.
They have an awesome lunch special and the hostess (who was also our server) was so sweet during our visit on Tuesday (6/17). They have a really nice outdoor patio. This might be one of the best places to grab lunch in Downtown Walnut Creek. On Tuesdays they have an all day happy hour. I have a lot of lovely memories coming here with my dog.
Trendy modern kitchen serving Thai cuisine. Went for lunch and ordered spring rolls, pad thai, eggplant basil, and mocktails. Everything is beautifully and elegantly presented. Service was prompt, and staff were very kind. Restrooms were extremely clean and tidy. My only complaint was that the eggplant dish was very salty. Menu is very versatile, and you can easily ask for vegetarian options or substitute shrimp or tofu for chicken. Would definitely recommend this place.
This was my husband and I’s first night out since having our baby and this place was the perfect choice. The ambiance was great for a romantic date night and the staffs were all friendly. The food was amazing and extremely flavorful. The price is a bit on the higher end for Thai food, but the flavor and quality is worth it. The Tom yum paella was hands down our favorite. There was a burst of flavor with each bite and the lemongrass really shined through. 10/10 highly recommended.
Enjoyed Saturday patio lunch. Beautiful weather allowed seating at the side patio warmed with fire. Took a bit to get server attention but once the order was placed service was quick. Drink included Thai tea and Mezcal with Jalapeños kick. The beef wrapped rolls was delicious bursting with juices inside over a bed of greens. Green curry with rice was yum. The chicken noodle soup could be better as i tried to match pho and not there.. sticky rice with mango was awesome. Place is nice but pricey for thai. Food presentation excellent.
I had a great dining experience at Torsap Thai! The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The highlight of my meal was definitely the Shrimp Pad Thai—it was exceptionally delicious! The noodles had the perfect texture, not too soft or sticky, and the shrimps were plump and bouncy with a nice sweetness that showed how fresh they were. The balance of tangy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors was spot on. I also tried the Green Curry and really enjoyed it. The curry had a rich, creamy texture with an aromatic coconut flavor and just the right level of spice that lingered pleasantly without being overpowering. The vegetables were tender yet still crisp, and the chicken was cooked nicely, absorbing all that fragrant sauce. The Chicken Satay was another solid choice—the meat was juicy and nicely grilled with a gentle smoky flavor. The peanut sauce was smooth and flavorful, complementing the satay very well. The only dish that didn’t quite impress me was the roti. It was more doughy and greasy than the traditional flaky, crispy style I was expecting. It wasn’t bad in flavor but felt a bit heavy. Overall, Torsap Thai serves excellent food with great attention to flavor and presentation. Despite the one small miss with the roti, the quality of the Pad Thai, curry, and satay more than made up for it. I’d gladly return to try more of their menu next time!
Great food and creative cocktails. The room is hard increasing the background noise level. While the server was excellent, they served the main entree just minutes after the appetizers which made the table a bit awkward as we sorted thru everything.
realistically I would rate this place a 4.5 stars if I could, but alas, I can’t. The food is always good here. I think that the “pad see you” was subpar and looks like it too. The Thai tea is on the sweeter side which is enjoyable after the ice settles a bit. The reason it is not a 5 is because of the service. There was little to no service provided. Long waits to put in orders even though the restaurant was quite empty. Maybe 3-4 other tables. The interactions were brief, the server didnt introduce themselves, the nicest person was the man cleaning our table. Kind and funny! The wings are so good, well cooked and everything came out hot. Overall, would come back, the pros out weigh the cons, definitely.
The food was great ambience was excellent. The server we had wasn’t good. She was very rude. I ordered eggplant tofu which was delicious and my husband’s order was yellow curry which was also really good. There was another lady without the server uniform but wearing a blue shirt. She was really sweet. I preferred talking to her over my server. They need to hire people who are willing to be courteous to people and good in customer service.
Not only my 1st visit to the Bay Area but my 1st visit to Torsap Thai Kitchen and experiencing Thai food. We shared the crab fried rice and the fresh spring rolls. I had the Eggplant Basil along with the Rising Sun. My friends had the Green Chili Rib-Eye and the Yellow Curry. It was definitely an unforgettable experience.
On the corner. Street parking. Came on a Thursday night with a reservation, seated right away. Started with a round of drinks. Everyone loved their drinks! We favored the Tom yum cocktail! Very unique flavors a nice spin of southeast Asian herbs. All the dishes we ordered had amazing taste. The Panaag curry beef was super tender. And sea bass was so soft. Garlic wings were garlic-ing. Nam Khoa was one of my favorite! Drunken was on the sweet side. I think my only complaint was the quality and amount of white rice… it either was bottom of the barrel or end of day rice. Just didn’t match the freshness of all the food. Server was ok, bus boys more friendly. All in all great food! Highly recommend giving a try.
Not a fair review and they deserve a 2nd chance. Came in on Mother's day at noon. First timers. Restaurant was getting full, can't get seated until entire party has arrived. Parking is horrendous because the main drag was closed due to a fair. Inside Restaurant is nicely decorated (no photos, being mindful of guests) and outside seating was interesting. L shape, had the table close to the street. Closer to the entrance of the restaurant is preferred. Otherwise, you will be the forgotten table...which we were, but in their defense they were slammed. Orders seemed more like for individuals instead of family style (sharing). Orders came out as they were prepared. Food was all lightly seasoned, on the mild side Bartender was delivering drink orders. Had the most personality and character. When we left, a dj was setting up near the fire pit. Be aware: when tips for large parties are added by the server, it is also taxed. It shouldn't be.
Meh. We won't be back. The food was overpriced and unremarkable. The ambiance was nice but if the food isn't there, then there's no there, there: they need to put more money into improving the food before adding more teevees or kitsch. I don't think I've ever had pad thai without chopped nuts, so that was weird. The included shrimp were criminally overcooked. The curry could have been tastier but everything just fell flat. Mango sticky rice is fine on it's own; adding ice cream or whatever is just gilding the lilly..... The waitstaff was uncoordinated and confusing: several people approached our table to take our order after we had already done so, and then returned with another table's food. And I don't think I've had such an uninterested, apathetic welcoming. We only went there because they were open late and our preferred place had just closed. So YRMD but there are better places....I think if I was more interested in the cocktails and teevees I would have had a better experience, but that's not my thing.
My husband and I have been coming here for the last 3 years. This restaurant used to be a 10/10 for us in terms of food, drinks, prices, vibes. We would bring all of our friends here because it was one of our favorite spots. The last few times, we noticed that the food and drinks didn’t hit the spot. The service was also not as great as it used to be. We figured that the restaurant had new ownership and stopped dining here. Last week, we wanted Thai food, and because we live right down the street, we decided to try it out one more time. We were VERY disappointed. I ordered the panang curry but couldn’t sub out the beef for anything else, which is unusual. I decided to go ahead and get it even though I don’t typically eat beef and was going to share with my husband anyway. The bowl of curry that came out was the smallest bowl of curry i’ve ever seen. It was filled with a good amount of the beef, but the reason for a curry is the soupy goodness, not necessarily the meat option. I am not exaggerating when I say i finished my soup in about 10 bites. I was so disappointed because I was really craving a good curry on a cold night. My husbands noodles didn’t have any spice even though we had asked for extra spicy. I flagged down the server and told her we were pretty upset about the tiny bowl of curry and felt that for $25, this was a very small amount of food. She told us that if we wanted a bigger bowl of curry, we should order the other two curries instead. I asked her why that wasn’t relayed to us when we ordered and she didn’t have an answer. She told us she would bring another bowl of curry. The server wad also in a hurry to leave the table despite the resturant not being that crowded, and we felt like we were being cut off when we were trying to talk because she didn’t want to serve us. When the second curry came out, it was cold. Not even luke warm, just straight cold. We spent almost over a $100 for subpar food. This place is not what it used to be on any level, and it’s very disappointing that we won’t be able to dine here anymore.
