Stopped here after apple picking, also wanted to go b/c one of my favorite shows is Resturant impossible. Food was fantastic. Service was great. My wife had the salmon & said it was delicious. I had Clams strip & a side of Penne with garlic & oil. The clam strips taste fresh, & the garlic & oil was great. Will definitely go back again. Back again in September 2022, still great food.

This goes out to a real seafood lover. You have to eat here!! All expectations were met. Service was above and beyond great. The MUSSELS with white wine garlic sauce 💋💋💋 You have to visit. This place definitely knocks some other competition out of the water...

Great dinner! Had clam casino for an appy - delish! Decided on stuffed lobster with onion rings! Also had the mussels over pasta dinner.... 50 mussels!!! We counted! Salads came with the dinners so we were stuffed when we rolled out the door. The stuffed lobster was $27 and the mussels were $22... can't beat that! Can't wait to go back. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.

Stephanie was phenomenal! She was patient , answered all the questions and was attentive. There was so much food and the price was great for all we got. Everything was delicious! The fried cheese was stringy, stuffed cod/shrimp and stuffed whole lobster were mouthwatering. One co-worker got the 5 fish broiled special... it's the first time I've not seen him finish all his food. It was the first tile the other co-worker didn't get dessert because he wa too full. Joe Willy's has been on my list a while and I was not disappointed.

The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. They have a great wine list and the appetizers were amazing. They have food for the non fish fans. Their chicken parm was heaven. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was just perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough if looking for seafood around Poughkeepsie.

Place had a nice ambiance. Food was good. I'd go again and maybe try something a little different. I had the fried scallops and I found them to be a bit watery when I bit into them. The waiter was attentive and our food came out fairly quick.

I am a long time fan of the show Restaurant Impossible and I made the trip to Wappingers Falls from NYC when I found out this place was still open after all these years! It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very nice but casual and the food is solid - I had the “famous” shrimp stuffed salmon and the salmon was cooked perfectly! Dish was delicious. The staff and service were wonderful. I am so happy to see this place succeeding! It’s worth the trip.

The waitress was nice & accommodating. The food though! Speechless.. Although I was sad they ran out of lobster the day prior, everything the table bought was delicious & perfectly cooked.

The atmosphere and decor is nice, and the service is friendly. They also offer outside dining. The food is delicious and filling. I think you get a good amount for your money. I ordered the lobster ravioli and they were were nice sized and really stuffed.

⭐ Honest Review of Our Experience at Joe Willie’s I rarely leave reviews, and I’m not someone who complains at restaurants. But I left our dinner last night feeling unsettled, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. Maybe there was a miscommunication, but the way things unfolded felt unnecessarily uncomfortable. I went to dinner with my best friend and my boyfriend because I was craving a lobster roll, and there aren’t many places around here that make one properly. I ordered the lobster roll, she ordered the surf & turf, and he ordered chicken. We each got our own appetizers — all were good, no issues. When dinner arrived, things changed. My lobster roll tasted…off. Mildly fishy in a way lobster shouldn’t. The portion was small, and the mashed potatoes were clearly instant, which surprised me. I wasn’t planning to say anything — I’m really not that person. But then my friend tasted her lobster and said, “Something isn’t right.” Her steak was fine, and my boyfriend enjoyed his meal. When the waitress came by near the end of the meal, my friend quietly mentioned the lobster issue — not asking for anything, just wanting them to be aware in case something was wrong with the product that night. We had an event to get to, so we weren’t trying to linger. This is where it shifted. The waitress said she would get her mom. While waiting, the busgirl cleared our plates, even taking my friend’s lobster, and handed her a to-go container for her steak. When the mom came over, the conversation took an unpleasant tone. She questioned why we didn’t say something sooner and even asked, “What did you put in the food that was wrapped up?” It felt accusatory and dismissive. I also mentioned my lobster roll had the same issue, and she brushed it off with, “Oh, that’s different,” as if it didn’t matter. My friend reiterated she didn’t want anything taken off the bill — she simply wanted them to know something seemed off with the lobster that night. But the energy was annoyed and uncomfortable. The original waitress never came back to the table. Eventually, the mom returned, said the chef was “too busy to come out,” and after about 15 minutes handed us the check. She removed the lobster from my friend’s bill and our soft drinks. We tipped well anyway, because the point wasn’t the money — it was the experience. My friend, by the way, is a kind, highly educated Black woman. I’m mentioning this because the entire interaction felt directed solely at her, even though I had the same complaint. The dynamic did not sit right with me. We left feeling embarrassed, unwelcome, and confused, especially given the positive reviews we had read. The night started out great. But we will not be going back, and we won’t be recommending the restaurant to anyone.

Beautiful place. Was in the mood for lobster. They had a “deal” … two lobster tails for $80 (Shop Rite had lobster tails on sale for $8). I figured, these must be cooked in some delicious way to make them so expensive. Or maybe they’re huge! Nope and nope. Received two completely flavorless lobster tails. I asked if they had any Old Bay seasoning. They said no. I should’ve sent them back but paid and left. The waitress had no suggestions for how to fix the issue. Nice enough lady but could not care less that the lobster was completely flavorless. Would not recommend unless you like food with no seasoning. Update: The owner replied that they do not sell "twin lobster tails" for $80. They surely charged me $80 and they tasted like they were boiled in plain water and put on a plate. This is the Willie’s across from Kohl’s. Most disappointing meal, and when I kept asking for seasonings to add (because salt just didn't cut it), the waitress had no solutions and just said, "Sorry." It should have been taken back to the kitchen. Extremely bland.
