Fantastic Food !!
Small comfortable place feels Italian. Friendly staff good food at a reasonable price. What more could you want. Even gluten free meals for my spouse.
Food is amazing, best kept secret around. We recently had a party there and all my guests raved about the food!
Small but great divide and excellent food. An unknown gem.
Had the paella tonight: delicious, plenty of seafood. A great value for your money.
Great food, very friendly. Best calamari I've ever had.
Great food takes time! Joe takes time to make it the most tasty. Clean and family oriented!
Their Portugese entrees are excellent, try their delicious desserts, especially their natas cups.

If you're looking for fabulous pizza, this is the place!!! We've been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Love their dinners and desserts 😊
Best tasty food in area with a smile. Owner is extremely nice every time. Many many visits and always the same great food and great attitude.
The best pizza place in Wappingers Falls! Also, their Creme Brulee is heavenly! Truly will come here again.
Who the heck are the two ding-bats that didn't like it? "This place won't last long?" Moron...they've been there for 20 years and the food is fantastic. I'm sure if you had any problem, they would have made good on it....if you had only asked instead of assuming all the wrong things...Trust me folks....DO NOT HESITATE to go to this place...it's GREAT!
The food was great, the atmosphere felt very homey, and the service was impeccable, the host is always very friendly. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Mama Mia's is an old-school gem serving up traditional Portuguese comfort food. It's like they have a Portuguese granny back there making the seafood and sausage dishes that are iconic to the cuisine. We especially liked the Carne Alentejana - super tender wine-braised pork alongside fresh clams and crispy potatoes. And the Bacalhau Belissimo is a satisfying combo of cod and chouriço. Very nice. The broccoli rabe comes with some dishes and you can order it as a side - it's garlicky and quite tasty.
My husband and I are pizza fiends born and raised in the Bronx, and have been having such a hard time finding GOOD pizza up here. This is the spot! I really won’t be getting a pie from anywhere else any time soon.
Excellent food, very home like feeling and it's high quality home tasting food. Food is definitely made with lots of love. We are trying their desserts today...
Hidden gem of a restaurant with old school Italian, Pizza and Portuguese food. Everything is made fresh to order. On site bakery with delicious pastries (make sure you call ahead for something specific). I'll definitely be back to dine in person. The owners are very nice people.
Great food, especially love the Portuguese, we love the Italian too. We go there often and have never been disappointed. Never too crowded which is a plus. They've been in business for 34 years so they must be doing something right. In house pastries to die for.
Have not been to Mama Mia's in a long time. Went last night and wonder why we haven't been sooner. We had an exceptionally outstanding Zuppa Di Peace meal. Very great quantity and quality at a reasonable price. Service was very good.
This restaurant has been a long time family favorite! The food is wonderful and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Any time our family gets together (from near and far) we always go to Mama Mia's.
BEST PENNE ALLA VODKA EVER !!! Order the Italian wings for an appetizer, the never disappoint! I've been coming to Mama Mia's for years ! I love the family owned restaurant and I FREQUENTLY order trays of food for my events. Also, Cardoso's Bakery is located at Mama Mia's! Absolutely Delicious!
Was there for a friend's birthday the food was delicious and great pastries. Family business and they treat you like part of the family definitely worth the trip will be back. So many things to choose and all delicious made fresh.

Good Portuguese and Italian food
Decent Pizza, I've had better. The desert section is definitely worth visiting
A small rustic Italian/Portugese restaurant. The food was fine and the staff attentive.
Good food! Small, quiet atmosphere.
The chicken pomodoro was excellent. My waitress was very attentive. Good food good prices, clean and well appointed dining at a local restaurant level.
It was a good Italian restaurant. Healthy portions not extravagant, friendly atmosphere. Not the greatest in the world, but good, and it's definitely go again.
Family owned restaurant for almost 40 years. Food was fantastic, they offer both Italian & Portuguese cuisine. Very small inside. Great bakery on premise. Only reason for 4 stars, not great wine selection. But overall would highly recommend.

We have enjoyed their desserts on numerous occasions. They are delicious! We have also dined there for a few meals. The service and food was good, it hit the spot!
Small cozy restaurant. Clean sauce special was very good, not the very best I've had, but nothing to laugh at. And there was plenty of it which was very refreshing. A very nice place, would definitely go again.
If you want Portuguese food this is the only restaurant in Dutchess County that actually makes Portuguese food. I had the pork and clams and not only was it good you got large portions even on the takeout I had. They also do Italian food with a bakery inside that their son makes all different kinds of cookies and pastries, on premises. Definitely try Mama Mia's. You'll be happy you do.

Good pizza
Small cozy restaurant. The food was a little on bland side. I will try it again.
The salad dressing was tasteless, the marinara sauce was tasteless, I got chicken parmesan with eggplant parm together and the chicken was so thin hardly any meat and tasted like old oil like they didn't drain the chicken after it cooked it. Disappointing and I'm still hungry because I couldn't eat it all made me feel sick
Very disappointed in take out chef salad. Very sloppy presentation, little meat, no hardboiled egg, or peppercino of course iceberg lettuce
mama mia poppa pia food a taste like diarea... Stay away from this one.
I think the owner is scamming people when she gives your check after you've eaten. I had this experience a few months ago during the holidays. I was overcharged by 2.75 and didn't want to argue so I let it go. Tonight I ordered 2 entrees to go and they totaled $44. When I picked them up she rang up $56. When I called her our she blamed an imaginary she. She then overcharged the sales tax by 38 cents. I didn't want to argue or fight so I left. I think her prices are so low to attract diners and then she nickels and dimes then hoping some won't notice. I am never going back again as this is so unethical and sneaky.

At least the salad was good.
I went there Sunday for my birthday. I ordered chicken franchise. When Ii came to table it was not chicken franchise . It was chicken soaking in oil and garlic. Had no lemon sauce. It was the most disgusting thing I have tasted. The cook better open up a recipe book and learn how to cook. The salad only had four pieces of lettuce covered in carrot chips and the lettuce is all white not even the green part. my husband got chicken Parmesan. It was just okay at least his was edible.. My husband said we should’ve went to Olive Garden they make a better meal most disappointing birthday dinner I’ve ever had in 58 years. No wonder why we were the only ones there at 6 o’clock
Went there for the first time and tried the chicken soup Wich was one of the specials it was spoiled.will not be back
Horrible the pizza turns orange very nasty
So I stopped in last night for take out. I ordered a simple but favorite dish- spaghetti with garlic and oil. The ordered was prepared very quickly, about 5 minutes. My first reaction was "Wow, this is light." I literally said that out loud. When I arrived home I understood why. The order, which was put into a standard round take-out tin, was approximately one-third full. Now, I've ordered this plate from a plethora of other Italian restaurants and never was the tin not full. I mean, really, this is probably the most inexpensive dish on any Italian menu. There's three ingredients: spaghetti, garlic, oil. Throw in some salt if you're feeling generous. The tin was one-third full (which is two-thirds empty!!). The price for this thievery? $12.50. I will never go back to Mama Mia's. I will certainly regale all of my friends with this "if it wasn't true, it wouldn't be funny" story. There are PLENTY of better restaurants in the area for Italian fair. Try them. This one won't be open much longer.
Without question, the worst Italian food I ever had in my life. I got stuffed mushrooms that tasted like they were nothing more than mushrooms topped with plain breadcrumbs soaked in cheap vegetable oil and cooked until burnt. The lasagna was one layer thick (ha ha menu says comes with layers of meat a ricotta cheese-that could have fooled me) and eggplant that was eggplant mush buried in bland tomato sauce . The fried calamari was undercooked. The hot antipasto for two was mostly tomato sauce in a pan with a couple of muscles and a couple of stuffed shelled macaroni and allegedly with shrimp and clams, but if there were they was hard to find.
Went for dinner here tonight. I’m going to be brutally honest this had to be the worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The salad tasted like pure vinegar when I asked the waitress if she had any other salad dressing since she never asked me what I wanted she said they only had the Italian, that was on the salad and ranch so I did not eat it at all because it was un edible at that point and I do not like ranch dressing. How a restaurant can only has two choices is mind-boggling to me. Then the food came out. I ordered the baked ziti with eggplant, the waitress neglected to tell me when I asked if it was real eggplant versus fried was the fact that they’re only gonna throw in the skin of the eggplant and slivers of one percent of a slice of eggplant my husband got the gnocchi which had to be the most disgusting thing we have ever eaten And the bruschetta was completely flavorless where I had to tweak it with salt and pepper just so we can eat it. We asked if we can have our own bill because we were with big party, The waitress could not comprehend how to do that. Blamed it on the fact that she was by herself I do not recommend this place at all nor will I ever step foot back here .
So disappointed. The wine was awful and when I asked for a list I was told there was none however when I was leaving I saw other brands. The waitress also lied and told me there were no soups That evening but when she went to the joining table she gave 2 choices of soups. The food was not great and get honest employees
