AMAZING! and the drive thru makes it SO convenient. Ordered pickup online-easy app- and it was ready within 15 minutes. Spring roll was delicious, got the Samurai roll and the coconut shrimp roll. Was skeptical about strawberries being on top of it but it was great!

I walk in very clean the staff was very nice my kids love the robot 🤖 that brings u the food it was awesome the food was fresh and very tasty 😋 I love it my family and I enjoyed it everything bout this place was comfortable and family environment I will be back definitely 😋

The customer service and food was incredible! We were sitting outside and the servers brought us food with big smiles and warm hearts. They even went so far as to bring water out for my dogs without me even asking! The food was delicious and I highly recommend it (I got sushi).

We loved it! The Asian King Buffet is closed because of multiple health code violations, so we drove across the parking lot to Hibachio and we loved it! So much better! Wonderful friendly staff, fresh healthy food, sweet atmosphere, and a robot 🤖 that serves food! Ha! What an awesome place!

This place is great. Their teriyaki chicken and rice bowl with yum yum sauce is as close as Osuba as you could get but for 1/2 the price. And their egg rolls are awesome. Then to top it off they have fresh sushi rolls. For the kids they can get the little plastic cheaters for their chopsticks if they want to eat their food that way. Will definitely be back again and again and again.

The food was delicious and the service was great, Javier was very helpful and patient in assisting us with information about the sushi and the menu and Cindy was an absolute sweetheart. The whole experience was awesome, we will definitely be back!

Food is always delicious and fresh. I love that The Philadelphia rolls are great and all other sushi we have tried is tasty. They have healthy options like fish and veggies. It’s also awesome to enjoy some saki with the casual dining. It’s a little pricey but well worth it. The manager is awesome and as attentive as can be. We have small children and on the occasion we eat out in a sit down setting we usually choose Hibachio since it’s quicker than Osuba for example. Highly recommend!

The food is always hot when it is served, and the service is great. I like to add extra mushrooms to my order, and the small charge is no problem. I have never had a bad meal or any problem at the Waxahachie location. It is the only one I have gone to, so I can't give any information on the other locations. I don't go out for fast food very often, but Hibachio is one of my favorites.

Best food ever. I seriously recommend this place, get the fried egg rolls those are immaculate! I got California rolls and those were the first rolls I was able to eat, they were amazing. The rice was good but the chicken was a little dry but otherwise AMAZING

Outfreakingstanding!! Not at all what I expected. Having gone through culinary school I must say I would be proud to own this place. Excellent food and atmosphere at a fair price point to portion ratio. Clean restaurant and awesome staff. Great concept! We have a winner! Kudos and welcome to the neighborhood.

Customer service was great! Walter totally made my day. He helped me order my lunch over the phone when I was being indecisive, and again at the drive through when I was picking my food up. The food was AMAZING! I had the hibachi chicken and veggies!

Solid rice bowls, and nice big portions. I got the steak fried rice hibachi bowl, and my wife got the emperor (shrimp, scallops, and steak) fried rice bowl. Her scallops were undercooked, so she didn’t end up eating them. My bowl started off a bit bland, until I grabbed the sauces off another table (we decided to sit outside, but those tables hadn’t had sauces already there). However, between the 2 House sauces, the whole flavor changed and was really good! I didn’t think I could finish it, but once it had all the flavor I just couldn’t stop until it was gone!

Parking lot stayed full and was busy. Rainbow Roll was fantastic! Also enjoyed the seaweed salad and spicy tuna roll. Fast and friendly service. Casual/relaxed atmosphere with a robot delivering food inside. Weather was nice so we sat on the patio and had humans delivering. Great first time visit!

Wow.... delicious sushi and chicken fried rice. Sushi Upper left lion king roll A++ upper right shrimp tempura and lower tuna roll both were very enjoyable.

Went here to celebrate mine and my daughter’s birthdays. Ordered 5 rolls total and every single one of them had dried out rice. I can honestly say I’ve never had a roll like these, so much for a good birthday meal. Update: following the response we went back to get another meal and they did a wonderful job! Maybe it was just an off time but we’ll be continuing to eat here, thank you!

Update: they were kind enough to replace the food at no charge, thank you! I ordered crab Rangoons and i don’t think they know how to make it. It was dry and only gave me 4 pieces for $9, that’s a ripoff! I’ve lived near chinatowns and tried a lot of different restaurants crab rangoons and i was hoping for something good but that wasn’t it, they need to find proper crab Rangoon recipe. I got the emperor rice and the steak was dry. I definitely won’t be back!

I utilize for catering for work OFTEN. Food is always delicious, staff and management go above and beyond and the pricing is so reasonable! It’s become a favorite professionally and personally.

So it was our first time eating here coming from Rowlett Tx to try there great chicken with veggies bowl and rice i highly recommend this place was so delicious I rate it from 1-10 a 10 customer service here was awesome Mr Bishop and Ms Lexie were so awesome and sweet! First time here, though, it's been open for some time. I had been craving egg rolls, so my wife and I stopped for dinner. The food was fantastic! I ordered the chicken and beef plate with 3 egg rolls; she had a chicken & rice bowl. We split a California sushi roll. Both of us then ordered the mochi variety 3 pack. Neither of us could eat another bite! Very friendly staff, love the bot they use to deliver your food (ours was hand delivered however). All in all, it is a great place and I will add it to my favorites.

DT took my order quickly and accurately. Then I placed a Togo order and I dropped my key and I was wearing a skirt and without hesitation he bent over and picked it up for me. No one is perfect, but the customer service provided tonight and the way they handled themselves is exemplifying. I'm passionate about business and big on customer service, this establishment is 5 star. Day in and day out they prove it. The food is always fresh and tastes great!! The value exceeds their prices! I was kind of skeptical... it looked to much like a fast food place for sushi. But gave it a shot based on reviews. Sooo glad we tried this place!! We did have to wait for the sushi but not terribly long. It was so worth it! Spicy edamame was fantastic. Volcano roll was so good even without the fried onions, per my request. They have some gluten free options and I had no problem with the dishes I choose. Great service!! Definitely will return!!

A picture says a thousand words. But a delicious meal says more!!!!!! The staff members were very helpful and well spoken. Throw in the amazing food and the chances of me visiting again is imminent! Update: I stopped going to this place because service wasn’t the same. I think they changed management. Don’t like it. Not the same experience I had before. —- We’ve been here a few times and have had good experiences! We prefer to order online and pickup. It’s so convenient. Manager and staff are doing a great job. Shrimp tempura(left) and philadelphia(right) rolls with brown rice, miso soup, and some chicken and rice (their serving size is a lot more this is just a partial serving I added to my plate).

The hibachi plate is a must one if my favorite places to get a quick hibachi.

So my picture from 4 years ago has over 32k views and you know what 4 years later it still looks the same and tastes amazing. I started eating with this company when they were barely known in the old Dairy Queen in Midlothian. Today everyone knows Hibachio! The Sumo is always my goto roll! If you know Dom he’s been a Hibachio stable in Waxahachie since it opened but he came from the midlothian restaurant and it’s always good to see him! I will always keep coming back and enjoying their food!

We normally go to the Hibachio in Midlothian. Trying to check this one out in Waxahachie. It is okay. Not as good as one in Midlothian. Flies.

The concept of fast food hibachi is genius and blows my mind every time I eat there. You would normally have to sit down wait and pay twice the price for food like this. They do a great job and their vegetables are so freaking good. Don't get me started on the sushi. It's my favorite in Ellis Co. Pictures is the samari roll with added jalepeno.

Had the shrimp rice bowl. They didn't put very many shrimp in it at all maybe 5 lil shrimp in the whole bowl but the shrimp that was in it was very good add the yum-yum sauce and it makes so much more. They also have a cute lil robot that delivers your food to your table. It was very charming.

This place never ceases to amaze to! Every time we come in they are courteous and accommodating. Cindy the assistant GM is amazing as well as Jacob the manager. They never fail to impress, for example.... We had placed an order for pickup online and my young daughter was upset the robot wasn't going to bring our food out as we were not dining in, but Jacob the manager had the robot bring our to go order to the table we were waiting at and her smile was worth a million dollars!! The food is no slouch either especially the sushi!! Must visit!!

I had never been to this spot, but my wife was familiar with it and always said wonderful things about the food. I have tried two dishes now and am impressed by their customer service in the experience as well as the quality of the product they provide. If you are close it is well worth a stop to enjoy. I am gluten free and their menu is fascinatingly accommodating. The workers are pleasant and the experience inside seems well run.

First time here and wow! The only bad thing I can say about this place is that it’s 4 hours from my home. We got the Sumo Roll and we are in love. The shrimp fried rice was really good too, but if you love sushi and seafood, get the Sumo Roll. There is a robot that brings the food to the table too. It was very fun atmosphere. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Austin was an incredible host, it was my first time at the restaurant and he took the time to go over the menu with me and recommended some dishes I might like. I had a small chicken rice bowl with extra veggies and a small drink. He mentioned the portion sizes were a bit large and he was correct. The food was good, if a tad salty, and the house made sauces were good. The "yum yum" saunce was good but did not remind me any of a traditional Japanese taste. All in all, it was fast, friendly, and tasty. Cheap too, my meal was under $9 and filled me up well. Definitely recommended

The food is great. Ordered the dinner for 2. The portion was super small. I expected more for the price. Truly disappointed. If they have larger portions, it would be 5 stars. Everything else was amazing.

The food was good but could use more seasoning and sauce. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl with fried rice and it barely had any teriyaki sauce on it. The employees were nice and friendly and the booths were spacious.

I’ve never had a bad experience at this place. It’s well run & managed and the food is fantastic. However, the price of the food is a bit outrageous. Especially in terms of its portion size. I love the samurai roll and an order of crab rangoons. The rangoons are small & there’s 4 in total. The order, with only the two items, is around $25!! I’m a big guy and I’m usually still hungry. When the wife & I eat here, she’ll order the same and it’s $50!! I could’ve gotten 2 full meals w/dessert @ most local restaurants for less money. The food is addictive, service is great. The price keeps folks away as well as the 5th star.

Little more on the expensive side, but great tasting food and service has always been friendly. If you order a rice bowl, consider adding the mixed veggies unless you dont like veggies. Otherwise, even the small bowl can be plenty for lunch. Haven't tried much else other than the chicken rice bowl, but has been good each time I've gotten it. Edit: I dropped the rating by a star because they forgot my mixed veggies. The funny thing is it was clearly marked on the receipt. Wasn't worth driving back for.

Best sushi in the area. Order on-line, pickup from the drive thru and you'll have the best experience. Wait times can vary depending on time of day and seating area is on the small side, so plan around that if you want to eat there. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating even when they're clearly swamped and short handed at times. One star taken away due to several small errors in orders. For example extra sauce, ordered and paid for, not included multiple times. I live too far away to bother with going back just for a sauce. The big parts are always right, just that little adjustment and they'll easily be 5 stars. Recommended for sure, just get it to go and check it before driving off.

Nice place for a lunch date. We ordered the texas roll and eel roll. They were decent. The seaweed salad was good. I ordered a small bowl of fried rice, it was okay. Overall the food is a decent price and tastes pretty good. If you've never tried traditional hibachi then this place is a great little introduction to it.

I had the shrimp and steak fried rice bowl. It was okay, just too salty for me personally. Also had the California roll, but wasnt satisfied with the quality of the rice, it had a rubber consistency. I would go back, but I probably wouldn't order what I got again.

Our first time there I had the sirloin steak plate which was very good. We did get the spicy edamme and they were super salty. They did redo it for us and it was way better. I was just amazed at the robot bringing our food to table.

Emperor's Fried Rice was okay, not a lot of flavor. Not bad but had to put a lot of sauces on it at the table. $15 price was kind of high for just average.

This is my second time at this place and I have to say that the first time was way better than this time around. I ordered the chicken and steak rice bowl and it resembled nothing like the first time I ordered it, so consistency is an issue. The flavor was off and there were bones in my rice. I will not visit again

Fried rice was good, but it took them 10+ mins to get our food to us in the drive thru when we were the only customers in line. Also, they had to ask for our receipt back to find our order ... I think it might have been handed out to someone in the lobby.

The food is great. But why do I never get wasabi? Even when I ask for it, it is 50/50 chance of getting it. Even Kroger has wasabi with sushi. I mean, come on, it’s supposed to be in there. Instead, nasty warm mayonnaise packet of whatever that is. I shouldn’t have to ask for it. It’s not even fresh or an attempt at fresh wasabi. It’s packets. Throw a couple in the bag. Most people have soy sauce at home. I don’t need three packets of that. I want wasabi. The sushi will be FINE without it. But I want good or great. And yes, that little stupid packet would make it just that. Good.

Vegetable roll FILLED with veggies was delicious. The meat for the steak and chicken plate was cooked just right and the portion we received was huge. If you’re interested in something smaller the small chicken bowl would be a perfect choice which was simply chicken over the rice of your choice. Room for improvement would be the eel sauce they charge extra for. It’s thinner than usual and seemed watered down. Also, the fried rice wasn’t seasoned or cooked/mixed that well.

Ended up waiting 25 minutes for a drive thru window order. Just order one entree and 3 egg rolls. The description of the entree said premium steak and chicken. Ended up getting scrap steak and chicken. It was more like tiny bits of meat. Maybe it's a different experience if you dine it but don't recommend drive thru window order.

Two things: 1.) Quality of our steak was extremely poor, it was tough and had very little flavor. 2.) The portion size was disappointing. For $35, I would have expected more protein. My chicken and steak had 3 to 4 small pieces of each. Thank goodness I had plenty of rice... First time eating at this location and will be out last. Gave two stars since it was prepared on time.

Food is great if they get what you ordered right. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and mochi, all I received was a meatless salad.

The food always takes forever here

We ordered steak hibachi plates to go and they made us wait for least 45 minutes! When we finally got our food which my husband had to pick up from inside the restaurant thinking they may have forgotten our orders, the vegetables were over cooked and there's no flavor at all except for the too much soysauce they showered it with. Too pricey for the quality of food and service they offer.

Normally we LOVE this place, we drive from Lancaster to eat here. Some times eat in and sometimes takeout. Tonight-take out. Tried SEVERAL times to call order in, new "AI assisted, recorded line" hung up on me EVERY time. Waited in line forever, placed order, questioned the order on the screen TWICE, got home, order is incorrect, called back, actually got thru, was asked if I wanted to speak to the manager and GOT HUNG UP ON!! No more pick up orders, we'll order out somewhere else from now on.

Never returning!!!After waiting a hour to get seated, our chef was pleasant but hurried to get home(he said this to us) waitress let our drinks go dry twice! it was now getting close to closing time, we're waiting for leftover boxes they start dumping water on the hot grill and cleaning it, sloping dirty water near our food. I talk to the manager he makes them stop cleaning the grill. We paid out and the purple hair waitress tells us we're short because we didn't pay the full, forced gratuity so not only didn't the manager not comp a small % of the meal we get accused of shorting the ticket we tipped $15 so she didn't get 6 bucks

Typically, the food is pretty good. However, today was an awful experience. Rice and shrimp were bland. I got the shrimp teriyaki plate which usually comes with a decent amount of vegetables. Today, 10/27/25 something is very different with the food coming out of the kitchen. My plate only had two pieces of broccoli. The crab wontons were burnt, and tough as leather.

I eat here all the time maybe once a week or more and usually have no problem with service. Unfortunately I ran into a rude manger working the front on march 5th. I asked for a special request two days back to back. Today she charge me double the price $21 and I was fine with because I asked for more food this time because I wanted it to be salad portion. I got the exact same portion I got yesterday for half the price. I got 3 slices of cucumber and a couple slices of avocado the snow crab was a good amount. I went up there to ask if the order was correct and she said yes I didnt think she was very nice at all terrible energy.

1st time ordering food was correct and fresh. On 6/14/2024 was horrible..asked for no peas..was told carrots and peas come together..when I got my first plate I only had carrots..
