I love this place. Anytime I’m in town I try to stop by. They’re extremely friendly and the food reminds me of home. 🏡
It was good. Got their sticky rice with steak and my dude got salmon with sticky rice. Good quality and you get free refills on their tea. Super good. They check on you for refills and stuff, but if you need anything it's okag to raise your hand and they'll notice you. It's a small enough establishment to do that. Oh also their tea? Super good. And yeah the tea?! So good either hot or cold. You can even buy some bottles to take home.
Love this place, they give you a free sweetened chrysanthemum tea (hot or iced) with your order. All kinds of yummy noodle soup dishes, clay pot rice dishes, salmon rice is popular, as well as the fried flat noodle dishes (similar to chow fun). They also have some good herbal soups that are almost medicinal. It's a great place to grab some filling food.
Love their Hai Nan chicken and salmon. I always opt not to get the burned rice. Its what they're known for, I know. Just not my cup of tea. The place is small and parking can be troublesome, but its worth it. Open super late too.
This is one of our go-to Vietnamese restaurants in Westminster, California. Only problem is it closes at 11:00pm, unlike many of the restaurants on the same street that stay open past midnight. That's not a problem if you're a normal human being eating at a normal hour. But many times I'm working late, and I'll drive to Bolsa Avenue for a bite. Otherwise, top-notch food.
I've been a customer for aver 14 years, we enjoy this place and their food. Their hot pots are a delicacy and their soups are great. I always get them half and half wich is half white and half brown noodles and the house special frie rice. 😋
The grilled rice it's the best in little Saigon. Tea is amazing and free. Salmon or Chinese sausage, shrimp, chicken and mushrooms are the best two dishes. A favorite of Vietnam
The rice was epic great flavor
Great food! Have been coming here for years and I love their nuoc mat! My family and I usually order the bo luc lac & the chao when we come here! It’s sad to see that they’re not open as late as they used to but hopefully once Covid dies down their hours will go back to normal!
Free chrysanthemum tea with entree. Delicious! Chow Fun w bo luc lac ap chao. Delicious.
Great food. Great services. Reminds me of the food I had growing up when my friend's mom would cook for us. I will highly recommend it to others.
I have been to both Luc Dinh KY #1 and #2 and tried the salmon with broken rice, and both times, they are very crunchy and crispy. Must try the deep-fried squid and deep-fried tofu. You also get free iced or hot sweet tea(nuoc mat) plus refill when dine-in.
This is a very local restaurant, and most of the people eat there speak Vietnamese (so English might sometimes be challenging to communicate with the servers). We have visited this place multiple times, and we eventually only order one thing from this place - the BEEF CHOW FUN. The beef chow fun (pan fry rice noodles with beef) is really really good; my Cantonese friend said this place has the best beef chow fun in Los Angeles (best in the sense of as good as what he had back in Guangdong.
If you want great food and service with a smile, come to this place! We got 2 free herbal drinks (nước mát) with our order as part of their menus. You also get free refills on the free drinks. Unbelievable!
Good tasting food with quick service and food on the table. Cost us $40 for 2 bowls of special egg Noodle and 1 Beef chow fun.
Very nice spot for some goof Vietnamese dishes. The Bò Lúc Lắc fried rice was well seasoned but the beef with sauce was excellent.
Good service, food made fresh to order. I got the fried salmon. Very crispy.

Sweet broth, mixed combination. Chrysanthemum tea is sooooo good
One of the original Classic places to eat in Bolsa. This is always a good choice to eat late night and it’s open late and they get free tea drinks, the salmon and the.hu tieu are really good here. Make sure you try it.
Best food in Cali Love the decor & clean restaurant
This is how authentic Vietnamese food is done! My kids learned how to use chopsticks here, haha. I've been coming here for years, and the food and service is great. Thank you!
Luc Lac is the go to dish here. Salmon is good too. Hainan Chicken is ok.

Good Chinese-Vietnamese comfort food options. Opens very late everyday to the early AM hours. Perfect to get those late night hangover fix! Fast service!
Excellent food at decent price. Servers are friendly but somewhat limited with English. French style steak is the best.
This place is cheap, hardly ever have a wait and service is fast.. The food is tasty and consistent. My gf and I come here often everytime we are too lazy to cook after work. She loves the Chinese chicken herbal soup. She says it tastes like the one her mom makes and I'm happy we can get full, going in and out in a jiffy :)
I've been going to Luc Dinh Ky since my high school years. My favorite things here are the salmon with crispy rice plate, bo luc lac (shaken beef), and the house special egg noodle noodles. You CANNOT go wrong with any of those dishes. Service is spotty, although my recent visit was wonderful. Another great thing about this place is FREE unlimited sweetened iced chrysanthemum tea and they open 24hrs!
Friend said there are 2 locations about a block from each other. She prefered the #2, went to #2 first but there were ppl waiting outside, so off to #1. We're here! Got seated right away. So y do ppl rather wait for #2 instead coming here? Hmm, well, I think I know why. Friend wants her coffee, lady said not here, u do take out. Friend said ok, then this drink here...no more. Ok just give me coke! Salmon is popular here because the table next to us ordered many salmons. My plate was the french beef steak with burnt rice, good but too oily.
I've been exploring more varieties in Vietnamese cuisine and I began to really appreciate them. I got my favorite pho spot and com tan (broken rice) spot. And Luc Dinh Ky is my favorite crispy rice spot. I love their french style beef and salmon crispy rice. It's bit too spicy for me but I always go for their pickled chili jar. LDK is also a good late night spot.
Love the fried salmon with burnt rice and French steak with burnt rice. Wasn’t given free drinks automatically for takeouts. Had to ask them
They are known for their fried salmon dish which is delicious. Only problem is it's pretty inconsistent. Sometimes a huge serving comes out other times it's half as big. Love the free drink they give.
It's located in the center of Bolsa, Westminster. We had a noodle dish and stone pot rice bowl and it was delicious.
Good foods especially French style beef with rice and great together with the pickle.

They close at 3 AM on Friday/Sat and 2 AM otherwise. That's crazy! CASH only. We were lucky to roll in at 11 pm with no wait although the tables were pretty packed. After promptly handing us menus, we were given free herbal teas. Yum! They're also very good with refills too. Our table got: House Special Egg Noodle (dry) House Special Rice Noodle (both broth and dry) Rare Beef with Egg Noodle (broth) I personally got the one with the broth because I like soup, but the dry option looked really delicious too! They add a flavorful sauce at the bottom of the dry option, and the house special consists of having bbq pork, veggies, half an egg, chicken, fish cake. The Beef noodle soup was essentially pho but with egg noodle. All regular bowls are $6.45 and large bowls are $6.95 Insanely good deal. The broth might be a little salty so ask for lime to squeeze in.
I hadn't been to this restaurant for over a decade. Today, I came back to this restaurant for lunch. The owner was able to recognize me right away, and she was so happy to see me again with a warm greeting. My friend and I ordered the French fresh beef steak with grilled rice. It didn't taste as good as it used to. Their service was just plain and simple as usual. I liked their grilled steamed rice.
Luc Dinh Ky 1 is a small but to the point Viet menu restaurant. Ordered the Bó kho with both egg and rice noodles. The portion was pretty generous and I was definitely satisfied. If I'm in the area to eat late, this would definitely be an easy spot to satiate my hunger pains. Also free drink with ordering a dish 👌
The food is half decent! A bit oily! Not really my kind of place! I usually love Viet-Chinese or just Asian Cuisine in general! The up-side is that the aunties who serves there are really nice and helpful! P.s: the food look good but only taste not even half of that good 🥲 3 stars for the good service and cozy atmosphere Need a lot of improvement on the food, more flavor less oily

Not good service, the foods soup salty no recommend
This place has been around for over a decade and it is sad to see the quality of food go downhill. The fried rice used to be so good, now the ingredients in it are just deep fried then tossed in with the rice, making it so bland and flavorless.
Not into crispy rice ..very few selection of dishes and pictures of dishes under the same name of the restaurant are not available and very busy don't understand why but only I can say not my choice but was open late until midnight. I will add pictures of the dishes I tried. The waiter very short and rushes you. Did enjoy the chrysanthemum tea and it was free 😊 FRIED rice not available at this location

Almost Every time I come to Westminter l stop Luc Dinh Ky 2 for food. This time I went to Luc Dinh Ky 1 by mistake I order the Same thing at Luc Dinh Ky 2. The Luc Dinh ky1 all the is meat over cook, chicken is dry, shrimp over well done, noodle not enough salt and taste funny. If compare between Luc Dinh Ky number 2 is 5 star but luc dinh Ky 1 is 1.
First time at this resturant, usually go to #2. Where they meet you with a smile and make sure your treated well. This location was a different story. Not a smile to be seen. Asked for something with just vegetables, so we ordered the garlic stir fry. Was given a plate full of green sticks in beef broth for $12.95. Stir fry isn't soup greens on a plate. It was not edible. I ordered wonton soup which is always great, but it made for a disaster dinner as my wife was left with a plate full of hard green sticks.
My experience over the years was bad. Fried rice with salty fish and shrimp was a rip-off. The whole thing wasnt even salty, and there was one shrimp, when the whole plate was $20 bucks. The other dishes weren't even flavored correctly. Really plain. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Two years ago, I would give it all stars, but now, it only deserves one.
This is the 2nd time I ordered food from here. I ordered salmon rice. They didn’t give me the sauce for the first time so I didn’t mind. But the 2nd time I ordered, they gave me small fish, no tomatoes, no sauce. Please do it right if you want customers! I WILL NEVER EAT OR ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN! Bad service 👎
I ordered the house special noodle soup and had a little black cockroach in it. So I order a different dish, I must of lost my appetite because it didn't taste good after that. Ending up paying for both of us, which I thought should of been on the house.
Overprice for so small portions and foods taste so bad comparing to Luc dinh ky #2. My first time ordering togo from them today 5/7/2020 because Luc dinh ky2 is close till 5/11. Will never go back to this place. If you like crispy rice with Hainam chicken or salmon or shaken beef, go to Luc dinh ky 2. It’s close by and so much better taste and more foods for your money
This is my 2nd time ordering here. I’m disappointed because the beef pad see ew (chow fun) tasted burnt. Upon telling the employee, he told me it’s supposed to taste like that. On top of that, he made it a big deal that my friends and I were going to pay separately.
First time there and would not come back. Service was the worst. We asked for a high chair for kid, she said and pointed "over there" then walked away. Although they said their restaurant is the original LDK but we'll go to the other LDK because the services is much better.
This place has gone down the drain. The customer service was terrible. Food quality has decreased significantly. I’m not sure if they have a new cook or new management but someone definitely ruined this place. The portions are also much less now.
Ordered a soup noodle to go. There was barely anyone there at 8 p.m. on a Sunday so there . After finishing the bowl did I see this piece of rusty metal at the bottom. Not sure what it is a part of, but this should not have happened. Highly disappointed in this restaurant as I've never had this situation happen before, ever. Won't be coming back.
