What can I say, spent 3 hrs here and now I'm totally stuffed. Dinner was their famous 7 courses beef , say what? Wowseeeer, talking about making your money worth the wild....7 courses beef a must try if ya haven't. Plus the staffs here are top notch, service was excellent- especially that fine gentleman "BAO" he made sure our dining experience was perfect, and surely it was "perfect" ☆☆☆☆☆5 STARS ☆☆☆☆☆
This restaurant is my favourite one Every time we come from Toronto Canada to California we must stop by to enjoy the food at Thien A restaurant. The owner very friendly and warm welcome. The place so clean, the food is delicious Thank you . Thien An restaurant .
The service was phenomenal and the staff and employees were kind and helpful, they food was very fresh and delicious! Definitely visiting back here again.
The fried catfish spring roll was better than most other places if you prefer crunchy skin. The filet mignon wasn't the best because it doesn't come on a iron skillet so it isn't seared much but the meat itself was very tender. We came during the day on the weekday so it was empty. It's not fancy or modern but the food speaks for itself. If you prefer other sauces then you just let them know and they'll bring out other kinds of sauces.
Good for special dinner w family-friends. We usually just order two kind of food, one is grill fish, two is seven types of beef- the best ever. Great services as well, fast, friendly, clean.
I think the XL fish that we order is not that fresh cause of the meat texture n taste but it still kinda good.. we usually go to the ROSEMEAD location but they were close but my wife want fish, so no choice we drove down to OC to eat at this location..
Bo 7 Mon (7 courses of beef or beef 7 ways) was delicious. Especially liked that they give a bunch of herbs and vegetables to eat it with. I could just eat them alone with the spring roll wraps and sauces provided. The catfish is pretty good, and a must, as there was no table that didn't have it. Skin is crispy, meat was not dry. Beer is served with ice, which was weird at first but makes total sense, slightly watered down beer way better than warm beer. Service is friendly, but could be hard to get when they get busy. Parking lot can get full pretty quick during busy hours, but probably can find parking not too far around the area. I would recommend eating early when coming here, as parking and service is better off prime eating hours. Bo 7 Mon is $18/person but can be shared. Catfish is $40 for small, $45 for med, $50 for large. 2 orders of Bo 7 Mon and a med catfish was plenty for 4 people.
Great experience and great service!!.. fast and delicious!!! And great environment in chinese new year 2020
The best cat fish I've ever had! The price is very reasonable for what you get! A must try!

Really good Bò lá lốt and bò nhúng dấm. Will definitely come back to try the fish
I don't think this place deserves all the one stars !! My mom, sister and I went right before closing. Yet they welcomed us with open arms! Took our orders, even transferred us to another table that accommodates more space for us! They didn't rush us at all. It was 9pm and they wanted to go home. But they deserve the 5 stars. The two gentlemen who took our orders were sweet and quick! I believe it's a family owned business. The establishment was very clean, and frankly to me, it seemed very nostalgic! As for food and pricing, the food here was phenomenal! Despite the tough time limit, they managed to serve us quickly. Win win for all! It was filling, and so delicious! Everything was fresh and tasted delicious in a way I cannot express enough! It was very cheap and filling, we were full with leftovers after! Of course, everyone is open to their own opinion, but if I could rate this anything more than 5, I would!
Yummy solid place to get 7 course beef. The last time we were here, there was a male server that was super attentive and very friendly which is not typical of most Asian restaurants. And the food was very good too.
love it. The food is great. The services are good. My American born daughter likes the beef hotpot. I love the beef meatball and “bo la lop”. The tea is also good! We had no problem finding parking (plenty).
Spacious and clean. The food is amazing. The service is great. I always get the crispy fried fish which is their specialty. Their 7 Courses of Beef is also highly recommended for the omniverous crowd.

Came with friends, one of whom is Vietnamese. We had the 7 beef course and a medium sized deep fried catfish. The food was really good! The medium catfish was huge! Good place!
I bought 2 bò nướng lá lốt to-go. The restaurant is super clean compared with other Vietnamese restaurants. The beef was a bit too firm for me, maybe because I prefer it to be juicier. Good news this place does accept 💳 so you can order ahead and pay upon arrival. The staff are nice and polite, too.
Food is good. Its just they need more people to work. 1st day of Lunar NY, they only have 3 people working. Honestly, if a restaurant dont have enough people to service in a service industry or dont open until theres enough people to service customers. We waited awhile to order and getting our food. The restaurant is spacious which means more tables, again, perhaps they should consider having a smaller restaurant or wait for more staffs before opening hours. 4 stars for food and 2 stars for service quality.
Good Bò 7 Món, fresh and plentiful herbs, nice serving size, very good service. Located right in the middle of Little Saigon in Westminster, CA. Finding a parking space was a problem!
The food was very good, and it was fun to put the wrap together, we're not very good at doing that but we laughed at each other. Service is quite attentive.
I come here for the fish and it doesn’t disappoint. I wished they had a stronger flavor dipping sauce, kind of watered down. If this place dipping sauce was on point it be one of the bomb spots to come to. The fried shrimp is bomb tho!
We love the bake fish here. Fresh and flavorful. The owner and his staff are fast and friendly. The 7 course beef are great as well for those not liking fish. Nice place for big Phamily gathering.
Great place to go eat grilled fish and 7 beef dish. Good service, spacious restaurant. Plenty of parking in the back.
I like their fried fish, nice and crispy. They don't skimp on the veggies, noodles and rice paper. I don't care for their 7 courses of beef because out of the 7 courses, there's only 2 of the beef dishes that I like. All their dipping sauces are pretty on point.
First time trying this place, and they are not so bad and a bit pricey for the portions.

My first visit to this restaurant but I've had 7 courses of beef many time at another restaurant nearby, now closed. I like the food at the other place better. The dishes were more distinctly flavored. But, ample portions and friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff.
Portion was OK, taste was a little off. I've had food here before and it was definitely better. Service was ok, no one came to ask how everything was. So on a scale of 1-10, it gets no more than a 5. Hồng Ân is a notch above, they consistently scored 8 in my book.
The food was below average. We ordered a baked cat fish. It was not fresh at all and too oily. The restaurant looks run down and not clean. Would not come back.

We ordered bò 7 món, it was good, and cá nướng, it was terrible. I believed it was a cat fish. They were dead fish before they were cooked and served to us. $50 for each and we threw away 2 of them $100. “Our tummy hurted”. Don't recommend you ordered cá nướng if you are planning to eat here. And instead of complaining about that, we just never come back
Two stars mainly because of the service. Had a party of 16 there and there was only 2 more smaller parties in the restaurant yet we could not get any service. Even calling out the the waiter, he would simply ignore us and walk back to the kitchen. After about 5 minutes of us trying to wave him down, I had to get up and walk back to the counter/kitchen window in order to get him to refill our waters and beers. This went on for the entire night and ultimately we gave up on trying to refill our waters again. The food was fine and if the service was at least mediocre I would come back but alas it was horrible.
Went here for a family dinner. Service was terrible, we had to ask the server 5 times before we got our water. Also one of our family member is vegetarian so we order her a vegetarian fried rice (they literally fried white rice and oil No veggies or nothing on it).
Although it was a pleasant family gathering, the food lacked flavor. Additionally, the fermented sauce tasted stale and not fresh. Furthermore, the price did not include a portion size.

Food was ok but service is horrible. No one ever comes by to check on us or refill our drink. Every time we need something we have to wave someone down from far away.
This restaurant used to be good, but now has gone downhill. There were only 4 tables during the 2 hr dinner. Now I know why the food was mediocre: roast fish taste Frozen and mushy. Grilled beef at take was a joke as it was more like boiled beef as the cook top was hardly hot enough to grill. We ended up having diarrhea. Owner was apathetic as he knows his time is over. We do not recommend eating here again. Too bad as it used to be good. Maybe if they have new owners, better service, better fresh food then we will try it again.

Food was terrible and to make matters worse, service was nonexistent. High price with terrible quality food. 7 course meal without any vermicelli served. Unheard of. Instead of 7 courses, they served us 6, charged 20% gratuity without mentioning it and charged us extra. This is not the place to go eat if you're looking for a decent meal. They are setting the bar extremely low for Vietnamese food.
My experience here last night (Saturday July 2nd 2016) was not up to satisfaction. We had a party of 5 adults and an infant. We were at the door with 3 other parties but nobody came to sit us. It took them a good 10 minutes to regconize there were customers at the door. When we sat down, the table was not ready. A waitress recommended us to order 3 orders of 7 courses of beef if we wanted a grilled fish. When the food came, it was worthed of 1 order. I felt disappointed because I came to the restaurant after searching them up on Google. The food was not good. When the 6 dish came, it was 1 and a half of the beef cake. The porridge looked like water with stuff at the bottom. That was a very bad experience. I would not come back nor recommend this place to anyone.
The foods are decent like most restaurants in the area, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. The one star is given because of the fraud they tried to pull. We went out with my big family of more than 10. My husband, who is not a Vietnamese, came to the counter to pay. Since he didn't know what were ordered, he relied on the honesty of the business and paid whatever amount they told him. Thanks to my aunts who experienced dishonest billing before with other Vietnamese restaurants in the area; she asked us to request for a detail bill. And there it was, the most expensive item on the list was listed extra. I came up to the counter to ask for a refund. There was no sign of shame in their apology for the mistake. Mistake happens and it should not be condemned. However from their reaction to the confrontation, my assumption was that this was not the first time this restaurant pull this kind of dirty business. I hope I was wrong, and this is just an isolated incident. But everyone please be careful with your bill when you must come here to eat. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area, it's not worth to come to a place like this to ruin your good time with family.
Really bad service. If going with family, there’s plenty of other viet restaurant options around the area that’s great. They never came by to see if we needed anything and argued about our orders, losing our want to order more after that interaction. Food was subpar too, catfish tasted stale. Wouldn’t recommend
Just visited last week (April 2023) with some friends from out of state. Food quality is over-rated. Service is not good either. No wonder the restaurant is more than half empty. Will not go back here for sure
Service was so bad. They were incredibly rude. Despite some of the reviews I have read, service was more horrible than I ever imagine. Food was barely ok but not worth that price. Bathroom was gross.
Very bad, awful service. I ordered just noodles, and it was really frozen like ice in Antarctica. The food, was really disgusting, it was microwaved before serving. I swear I will never ever come there again. Very terrible restaurant!
A very terrible place to eat. Food was bad almost seem like old fish, smelly. We brought the issue to the staff and was pushed away… never come back here, and do not recommend to anyone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT
I cant believe I have to complain about service despite ordering to-go. I ordered a serving of grilled beef wrapped in betel leaf without any of the rice paper wrap. When I arrived for pickup the give me a bag of everything. When I tell them to take out the rice paper the server also took out the fish sauce. He said that the fish sauce only goes with the rice paper wrap and he charge me extras for the sauce. After bringing back the goods, opening the bag I saw an empty, uncapped, topped over cup with all the fish sauce floating the bag. Conspiracy or not? Idk. Here is my 1 star review. Happy operating. P.S. My parents give me there stories later than not a SINGLE time they order togo that the fish sauce cup not toppled over. So maybe, it was not a conspiracy against me not ordering the rice paper. Maybe they are just that BAD at doing their job. 1 star deserved.
I ordered the 7 course beef and it was awful. None of the dishes has adequate flavor. The place offered two dipping sauces and one was of the sauce was made using the shrimp paste as a base. I grabbed the bottle the sauce was stored in and found it was not refrigerated. I decided to use this sauce because the other sauce, which was made of fish sauce base, was too sweet. I got sick from eating at this location meanwhile my wife did not use the dipping sauce and she was Ok. Although we ordered the 7 course beef, there was only 6 courses served. Since all 6 tasted very bad, we didn't bother to ask what the 7th course was. The place needs major upgrade. It was dated and filthy. The bathroom was disgusting.
Extremely bad service, atmosphere would have been better if there were not half the restaurant of dirty plates and fish bones on empty tables. Fold came out without any success have to wait. Table next to us had food and no silverware. Half hour wait after asking for check while waiter was talking to other tables. Worse was owner was fighting with table next to us because some of food never came out, they were charged and he wouldn't take it off the bill, that's bad impression to other guests, owner making faces and arguing, didn't show any concern for a customer. Everything was pretty dirty too. I warn you to stay away and go somewhere else, apparently owner doesn't care about his customers and doesn't deserve you business.
Horrible dining experience… The server we had did not even speak to us , seamed that he might have been confused about where he was. He ordered sodas, and he came back with beers. Our group ordered multiple appetizers to share , and found plastic wrap in a few. The “manager” who was just another server in he restaurant, simply did not care to do anything about the situation. They insisted we still pay for everything, even though they gave us the worst experience ever. The food wasn’t even good at all !

I was with my family coming out of state but a couple of us were from LA. We tried the beef 7 course and it was beyond bad. I never had it this bad. I am not trying to insult but the porridge soup was salty had a noodle in there, the three meat ball course was bland no taste.
Customer service is terrible. My family ordered only Bò Lá Lốt, but they brought Mỡ Chài and porridge in addition and said we just needed to eat because it was paid (included in the tour). For clarification, I was with my family who was on tour travel in the US. Also, I know for sure that there is free water, but due to the recognition of tourists, they said they only sell water bottles and sell $1 each. I dislike the fact that they were dishonest (we were fooled by both the manager for an additional charge and by the server for no free water at their restaurant). I'm totally disappointed by the unacceptable behavior of the people in the restaurant. I truly hope that this will never happen again to anyone. This is the first and last time I will come to this place.
