I visit late nights because of the very out going woman who has been working there for last few years Zoe the best waitress I have ever had it's a pleasure me to have her as my server.

This was the first time that I had been at this location but all the Denny's are pretty much the same great food great service good atmosphere so if you want to have fun and enjoyable affordable place to take your family to eat this is the spot

We came kind of late, so not that busy. We were seated very quickly and the service was wonderful. We had our baby with us and they were very friendly with her. Overall very nice location.

The places is very big lots of room has counter seating like being in a 50s dinner makes you want a malt. The employees are awesome and very curteous and attentive to your dinning needs and of course the places has a well planed waiting area. The staff was awesome and are Bicycle friendly as I met my family there and was on my bike and no lock and chain, to my surprise they let me store it in a section that was not being used at the time the waiter awesome but the cashier was the coolest in letting my bike rest inside and my family and I happy and satisfied with the food and service . They always make sure we get our food in a timely manner and that everything is clean and well kept. Our servers always on point with refills! We love the friendly family atmosphere.

This was at the Whittier Blvd. Denny's in Whittier California location. Delicious, fast, and friendly! My Mom, Gramma, and I spent the day together antique shopping, and stopped here for lunch. I had the Fish & Chips, and both my Mom and Gramma had the Senior Grand Slam.

Great Denny’s! I visited this Denny’s with my mom and sister on a Friday evening, the place was sparkling clean, the service was great, our server Clementina was very attentive and kind and even the Manager Velia stopped at our table to check on us. Everything was good, except for one small detail, this doesn't reflect directly on the staff, it's more of a Denny's (in general) thing. I asked for a shake and they put whipped cream on it. I like whipped cream I just can't stand it on drinks. I used to hate when Starbucks would do it and I don't like it at Denny's either. Besides that the food was delicious and the service was great.

Had the best experience in all the 10 years coming here. Waitress Veronica was on it. She got everything we ordered and didn't even write a thing down. The food was hot and delicious. Our meals took longer to come out than usual though, maybe we were just famished. Lol Thank you.

I've been coming to this Denny's for years and so far the service has been great and food is great. My favorite time is about 1pm to 4pm with great oldies and jazz. Highly recommend anyone after a long hard day.

My boyfriend went here for dinner earlier this evening around 10:00 pm. It wasn't very busy and the manager seated us immediately. He was very nice and brought us our drinks. You know what Denny's is pretty good when you want their blueberry pancakes I never used to order them but I'm hooked . Thank you Denny's for those wonderful breakfast mornings with the blueberry pancakes and the hash browns and eggs. I got a meal off of the senior menu it was two eggs scrambled two link sausages and two pieces of bacon and two pancakes for $9 the eggs were good the sausage was good the bacon pieces were super thin and super small and way overcooked.It's like two bites of bacon and they're gone. The pancakes were good but still not much food for $9 these days. The service was great though.

Its was ok.. but you don't feel welcome or important to thier lively hood. Wasn't up to Denny's standard I'm uses too. I wouldn't return, only if i got a free meal for the bad experience, and taking my mother for Breakfast.. my eggs look gross had to send back, weren't much better when it came back..

I've been to this Denney's many times, but this time my son took me to eat. There was only one other couple in the place. We sat in a booth and it took about a good ten to fifteen minutes before we were looking for someone to even bring us a menu. The rest was drama from ordering something and the guy that served us charged after we didn't even get what we ordered! So see how many people are there before you decide to go in.

The services was quick and customer service was good too. My only problem was the food. I ordered a Philly cheese omelet and it was super oily. I felt with every bite I took I was breaking out. I ordered a coffee and the cup was dirty with lipstick smudges on it. Would I come back, no I prefer waiting 45 minutes and get great food, good customer service at Norms in whittier.

Waited 50 minutes for biscuits and gravy. They eventually came out after reminding our server. They were brick hard and ice Cole. Another waitress comp'd out bill though so that was good. Servers were very nice and other customers seemed satisfied. I believe my experience was rare but it happened.

Well, the breakfast food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary,and maybe should make the dishes look more exciting to eat, the atmosphere ok, customers chattering at their tables, no big deal. Pretty pricy place. Oh, the service was pretty slow especially the dessert which took waytoo long.

These dudes are funny, you go in their with the idea of getting the breakfast deal they air on TV. You looking around for these "under $10.00 deals" nope you won't find them. I was going to leave , I thought I was I the wrong place. You must ask the the deal' the waitress will not offer or suggest and the menu it's not in menu. Coffee pricy and if you ask for some salsa to put on your eggs, the waitress won't says nothing, you'll see the salsa fee on yourbill. Kind of tacky nickel and dimming you.

Our waitress was very nice, respectful, and professional. I decided to order the steak and eggs, probably not the best idea getting that at a Denny’s. The steak was very cold, mushy, and instead of a pink center it was very red. Definitely looks like it is under seared as well. Although the food wasn’t the greatest, our waitress was very nice and ended up removing it from our bill so the service is a 10/10.

I went in at about 9:20 pm. The woman who was at the register was also our server. She was quick and very polite. My son ordered French toast and eggs with chocolate milk. Eggs were way overcooked, and the chocolate milk had a very sour taste to it. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken was overcooked, and the food had a weird taste. Kind of like a kitchen cleaner product taste. The food was not good at all. Might not be going back to this location.

We had a male waiter, should have gotten his name. But He was very rude, like he didn't want to even serve us. The moment we sat down it took him a long time to come ask for our drinks, by then we were ready to order. We kept trying to get his attention to ask for items we needed & he would look our way and we'll wave and he would walk the other way. I ended up just getting up and asking help from another waiter. Did i forget to mention the location was VERY EMPTY! There was hardly anyone is there so it wasn't a busy time & they were not short staff. I would not be coming back to this location.

I went to have lunch there with my son. To get response from the waiter took almost 18 minutes. After we order took another 20 minutes to get the food. I ordered a Sirloin Steak and a soup, I got the steak before soup. The flavor of the steak was bad, the sides (mash potatoes and broccoli) were not fresh. It was a bad experience to return to eat at Denny's after some time. I won't be back to this restaurant anymore.

I've always enjoyed Dennys, it's a place to go for a quick meal that's not fast food, but lately it's hard to find one that is not dirty. The service was friendly but this Dennys was just filthy. From the entry doors to the windows throughout looking like they hadn't been cleaned in months, booth seats never wiped down, with food on them, floors dirty. The bathrooms looked disgusting. I mean come on, we're coming here to eat, if you don't make it appetizing from the moment you walk in who's going to want to come back? My husband & I will not be back.

At the time I went the place was understaffed. We waited 10-15 min. Just for someone to come to our table. EVERYONE WHO CAM IN AFTER US WAS SERVED BEFORE US. VERY POOR SERVICE. Then they wouldn't even serve me a medium burger. No exceptions. What restaurant refuses to cook a burger to order!? I dont blame the manager as this seems to be a corporate decision. So sad. Such a disgrace to the hamburger. As expected the burger was very dry and the cheese was placed on the burger late so it was not even melted. If you are paying $11-12 for a burger you should be able to order it how you want it. You are just as likely to catch e coli from their lettuce. So if that is their justification for only serving well done hamburgers they should cook their lettuce and as well. On the other hand, it is possible to cook a well done burger without drying it out. Soooo, yeah, There ya have it.

I don't know what's going on with this restaurant its been like 2-3 times now that they take almost 1hr to bring our food but this last time it was crazy they bring our food an hour later and first my son order a shake they dint had wiped cream them we ask for sour cream and they didn't have any then we ask for vanilla creamers they dint have any some one is not doing there job seeing what they need. i rather drive far to go eat at a different location.

The place was crowded and we were patiently waiting for our server to get our order. He finally arrived and apologized for the delay took our order and another server brought our order and when I bit into the food it was cold as well as my fiance's food. We tried waving the server down and finally he notices us and we told him about the problem he took the plates back and came back promptly to let us know that the cook was going to make us fresh food and we were glad. When the plates arrived I noticed that they didn't make us fresh food but only took the food originally that was on the plate and reheated it. We will not be making that mistake again of going to that place again.

I usually enjoy Denny's and their service. But today was different. I out my name on the waiting list and waited. And waited. And waited. After seeing that people after me were going in , I checked with the hostess...someone had crossed my name off the list!!! We left. My family was not happy at all.

7/12/25 went in this morning for breakfast. Wasn't too busy but our server was pulling double duty both waiting on and bussing tables. I noticed he was cleaning off tables of leftover food and cleaning dirty tables but after placing the dirty plates and cups in the carts, he never washed his hands and went right to the counter where the prepared food was and handled the plates, for things like butter and other items for people's meals. No washing hands or wearing gloves. 7/19/2921What a difference a year makes. My review about a year ago was positive. This update is not so good. Went in yesterday for breakfast. Restaurant wasn't very busy. Maybe 4-5 tables seated. We ordered and I watched our food sit on the counter for about 10 minutes while the server chit chatted with co-workers. When our food came out was cold. When we informed the waitress (Emily, Emilia) there was no apology or offer to have the food redone. She grabbed the plates and walked away. So we just walked out. Terrible service all around. Just finished breakfast. Food was good but even better was service we got from Javier. He was on it!

I brought my family to eat here tonight. My daughter ordered chicken with gravy and fries. My daughter started with the fries. When she started with the chicken she noticed it was weird. She tried eating but it gave her nausea . I tasted and her dad also tested it. It was nasty. My daughter couldn’t eat it. We told the server and he took the plate away. The chef told him that the flavor changes after is made and been there for too long. This means he gave ys old gravy. However, he told me that we would not get a refund because it was already touched (fries were gone). He said his manager was mot in and to come back another day if I wanted a refund. Why would I come back for refund after this service.? I used to come at least once a week with my kids and never had an experience like this. Now, my thoughts have changed.. i am very disappointed tonight. I don’t complain about the server. He’s just doing what he was told. I am not sure if I will come back here after this.

Late Tuesday night, waitress just tossed the menus on our table and walked away, didn't even ask about our drinks, got the same lady a few times before and always the same terrible service, so this time I just had to do this. OTHER THING is that they have their music going but at the same time they have some TALK RADIO going so loud. Not the kind of service I'm looking for and willing to pay for.

It was sad to see how much trash was right outside of the restaurant. It was there when we got there and continued even after we left (about 60 mins later). Out table & knifes were also very dirty. Our waitress was friendly. This place needs a manager/supervisor who does their rounds around the property. I won't be coming back.

Currently writing this review from the Dennys located in Pico Rivera, I had to leave the Whittier location due to lack of service and waiting 20 minutes in an empty diner. Our host sat us right away and helped a customer checked out and then never came to check on us neither did any waitress, this location lacks staff and communication from 3 staff members we saw 1 cook 1 waitress 1 host.

I had breakfast last Sunday February 20, 2022 I said I wanted my bacon all the way cooked and this what she served me I went off so please do not go to Denny’s in Whittier Ca

Food tastes ok but I ordered a smoothie and noticed they used a different size cup this time from the last two times. They gave me a smaller cup this time. I don't appreciate that.

This Denny's hands down is hands down terrible. The time it took the server to come and take our order was ridiculous. He went to every table around us and when we tried to get his attention he waved us to wait. 10 minutes later and an other reminder he took the order. Then 20 minutes later the food was delivered and to no surprise they didn't have the whole order. They missed 1. Will I ever be back here, NO. My advice if you are there order immediately and have patience. I sure didn't. Glad I was only there because we had a tournament and that was where the kids wanted to ear.

I went to this location lastnight for dinner with friend, I order Ultimate omellete and hamburger. My Ultimate omelet smells like a smelly shoes, unprofessional lay out of foods like they just dump it in the plate and putting a 5 star sauce on the edges of the plate all scattered. I've been going to Dennys in Pioneer blvd near 605.but it's not near the presentation of foods and taste. The hamburger my friend order is like very oily the cooking oil is dripping every bite,I see it in my own eyes coz im in front of him.cholesterol is un imaginable. Horrendous. The other table right beside me the customers just left im wondering why they didn't finish the foods several meats still on the plate untouched and few dishes. I ask myself why they waste so much foods. Now when I come to realize probably the taste are horrible. Im sincerely telling you guys I'm very unsatisfied. The white skinny attendant is very attentive .she's asking if the foods are okay, but it come to senses everything is wrong with their chef,cook. The place looks clean but not remodel i can tell needs alpt of renovations looks like back in time 1980 design and surrounding very dark light is not bright enough I can tell it's no LED, walls not painted it's a dark wood grain . It added more darkness to the surrounding, the window glass is tinted darker makes it more darkness inside its lacking lights and. I think the owner is trap on 1980s and never moved on. By theway when I came back to my shop ,because I'm a shop owner aswell I ended up going to restroom my stomach consume something that shouldn't have. I remember I went to the restroom to take a dump 1hour before we go to Dennys. I ate something bad really bad. I will never go back again .. They need a complete transformation first fired that chef/cook. Then complete remodel that building.
