Great tasty food. I recommend the awesome Mr Giant burrito with carne asada, green sauce and no sour cream. Personal preference. Its a beautiful wet burrito. Try the habanero sauce. Everything I have tasted here is delicious. Taquitos are a tad expensive. Service is fine. Staff is polite. Not sure why there's 1 star reviews. I haven't had any issues here. Will take photos next time

You want fresh homemade Mexican food?!! This is the perfect place!! Everything is fresh made daily and it's worth every penny, the prices are cheaper than other near restaurants.

I had never been here before. Today I went with my huge family and we scarfed down like we'd been lost at sea for ages. The food was very good. Even the picky kids gobbled up their noms. I am a huge fan of their salsa bar. I ate pickled carrots with jalapenos for my appetizer. Grabbed those from the aforementioned salsa bar. I had their Giant Nachos. I was only able to make a dent in them. Lots of yummy leftovers for everyone. I'll definitely go back for more.

Me and my dad have been eating here since I was a little girl. The name has changed but the food is delicious. Still as I remember. Took my fiance their for the first time and he loved it. He was happy I showed him a piece of my childhood. Love this place ❤️

Exceptional value for the price! We had the Chile Rellenos plate and a shrimp burrito. Everything was tasty as well as the salsas. The customer service was courteous, efficient, and friendly. The soft drinks choices at the self serve machines was very good, Coca Cola products and some yummy Mexican style beverages. The dining areas and bathrooms are clean.

Everything is large serving sizes. Everything is very tasty. Love the my giant breakfast burrito, posole, torta. Everything is good here. They give you chips and salsa. 3 salsas to choose from. My husband and I go there every Sunday after church. Extra seating outside.

Superb Mexican food. Fast service, great prices. I love the Chilaquiles, but they also make an excellent Caldo de rez. The nopales tacos are a great side dish, and the steak or chili Verde platters are very good.

This is the most excellent Mexican restaurant in this Whittier community where burritos, enchiladas, and yummy stuff are served. And it's a good place to bring kids.

Delicious Food, no complaints, the kids enjoyed their tacos and enchiladas, the salsas are amazing, chorizo and egg burrito with beans, we tried the carnitas wet burrito with green sauce, the chile verde wet burrito, it was so good we went back the next day! The service was excellent!

So there at least once a week they are pricey. But the food is good.

I love this place! It used to be called Los Sanchez but then they changed it to Mr. Giant. All of the food tastes just as good, and also they give amazing wet burritos. I suggest you dine in this place because you get the most out of the cultural music, and also have access to the salsa bar, and not forgetting the tortilla chips! 5/5 would definitely go here again next time I'm in the area.

This Whittier Mexican food spot is my go-to for all things delicious! Their wet burritos are gargantuan, their shrimp tostada is a flavor bomb, and don't even get me started on the quesadillas. You get massive portions without breaking the bank and don't worry, their breakfast game is strong too! The best part? Your food is made fresh to order, not reheated under a sad heat lamp. Be patient, folks, it's worth the wait!

A friend of our recommended this restaurant the food is really good and they give big portions. We headed to Whittier and go-to Mr.Giant Mexican restaurant. When we arrive at the restaurant the parking was full but lucky we found parking. Stepping in the restaurant that's is another story it was pack first we look at the menu they have a very impressive menu them my wife decided to order the two chili renello then it's my turn I told her I order the same as you the chili renello. We notice the restaurant gets packed during dinner time and also pick up and plus they have Happy Hour. They call our number I pick up our food. We couldn't believe it the large portions of the two chili renello it also comes with rice and beans and a small side salad. The chili renello has so much flavors from the cheese that so good and chili wasn't hot and sauce cover the two renello is amazing good. The rice have so incredible flavors and beans were so good. We both like the chili renello I told my wife we need to come back again.

I have been coming here since I was a child. When this restaurant was known as “ Los Sanchez”. I must say that the iconic Mr. Giant burrito (Red or Green sauce) never fails. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican burrito I highly recommend it. Thank me later.

Giant size food, good food, tasty food. Not much on atmosphere inside, long tables and chairs, but over all clean. Good salsa bar. Chips if you ask for them. Bus your own table. Lots of take out going on so sit away from the door. You might have known this place as Los Sanchez back in the day when the parents owned it, now the kids run it... why not Senior Gigante? (Sounds more like the kind of food they serve, tho they do have French Fries nachos...) But Mr. Giant it is. Worth the try if you like actual Mexican food. 1 star off for low rent dining room.

They have a nice seating area outside the back patio. I love their hard shell tacos I always go with carnitas. Their tamales are also good. The dark green sauce is very spicy just how I like it.

This place is pretty good. Quick service nice size restaurant with TVs. Recommendations, The Mr. giant burrito is pretty hefty wet burrito for 8.99 and the Carne asada plate comes with side salad, rice beans and chips. This can get alittle pricey but good food all in all.

I tried their fish, nopales and potato taco. The fish taco was delicious with perfectly fried fish and a delicious crema sauce. This was my first time trying nopales tacos, and from the awesome flavors to the crunchy nopales, it was a win. Unfortunately the potato taco should just be 86'ed from the menu as it's greasy and lacks flavor. But circling back to the fish tacos, I'd drive out of my way for them! And to add two other positives, they serve complimentary fresh chips and salsa, and their staff is friendly and attentive.

I will be honest, I was ready to slam this place, my last visit was so disappointing that I did not expect much better, but family wanted to go so. O.L. But what a difference a year makes! I had the shrimp cocktail and it was good! My wife had the machaca with eggs, and even though the mixing of the two was unexpected it was still tasty. So give it a chance . But keep your expectations in-check. It is a home town fav. Good Job Mr. Giant. I will always know you as "Los Sanchez!"

The food was ok. A little over priced and they didn't have much for someone on keto. When asked to alter the food they were not very accommodating, and then they messed up my order and came to our table to charge the 50 cent difference to correct it. If you want quick Mexican food, this is your place. Their dishes are satisfactory but I wouldn’t say the best. Their version of guacamole is unlike no other I’ve seen before. It’s watery and they usually mix-in some lettuce. Overall, their food is ok.

I have loved this place for years, but the food yesterday was just not very inspired. Service is slow, and they forget to give you chips unless you specifically ask.

Although the food is good, different employees charge you different prices for the same items on different nights. And they add charges of $1 for cheese per taco for example. They don't tell you about additional charges for paying by credit or debit card vs. paying by cash.

Would had given it a 5 if employee wasn't so rude as she aggressively grabbed bag of chips out of male employees hand when I asked for another chip bag seen I ordered for 5 and to go order had 2 bags, she said you have to pay for more you have some in bag already! Which I'd been happy to if her attitude was not so rude, I felt bad for male employee I just left. Previous day I asked for salsa when picked up order when saw she handed previous to go customer salsas from fridge she pointed to salsa bar and said its over there, was more her tone and attitude that made this establishment not 5 star for me, food is good though.

The food is good. I don't like the way they have the salsa bar uncovered and right by the waiting line. They used to have a larger area for the salsa and condiments that seemed better protected with a plastic shielding. Of course prices have gone up, but what surprised me is the sales tax that's seems to be higher than 10%!

Placed a pick up order over the phone and specified to please not add cheese to my order 3 times due to being allergic. I picked up my order and went home and found cheese on my food with the receipt indicating no cheese. So I drove another 20 mins back and advised the staff what happen. The young lady and young man didn’t really seem to care about the time and money I spent, didn’t apologize and showed no sympathy. Not very customer service like. Tonight was out first night trying Mr. Giant after a recommendation from a friend on FB. I had the Mr Giant carnitas burrito, delicious, huge and not crazy expensive. My wife and daughter each enjoyed their meals as well but I think the burrito took the top spot. Definitely going back, yum! Update, sad to say I don’t think I will be going back. I did enjoy the food but after tonight’s fiasco, it’s doubtful. We ordered food online and it said when we ordered it was going to be nearly 40 min till it would be ready to pick up...ok? Still, we didn’t cancel and went to pick up the food at the time it said. Then we waited over 40 more mins as everyone that ordered their food while we were waiting for our online order got their food before us. Our food was cold and not up to par from our previous trips. No chairs to sit while we waited, cold and hungry and the only thing offered was a drink as we’re walking out the door. Then the guy gives attitude cuz i just grabbed the food and left. Naw, keep it.

Unfortunately, it's not a good place to eat. Nothing fresh about their "out of the can" tasting salty food. The only thing that just ok was their Carne asada, and even that was not something to talk about. The place was very dirty and their furniture was in bad shape. We waited so long for our food I was hoping at would at least be tasty for such a long wait. I never saw one person step out to clean anything. It was not very busy so I saw no reason to not have a person go do a walk around. The place also smells like mildew and you would think a smell of good food would dominate the air. I heard from the patrons that their breakfast burrito is good, but not worth a try after my visit. Avoid this place if you can until they make some changes.

I really hate leaving negative comments but I use to go here when it was Los Sanchez. I've bragged about it for years to my girl and FINALLY today wanted to try it. I couldn't drive there fast enough, I was so excited! They now have big fancy menus but after waiting over 30 mins we noticed the cashier charged us for the wrong item. I got an order from a delivery service that was prepared incorrectly and I had to return the incorrect item with the receipt to get the replacement item that should have been correct in the first place. Then I watched as the item I returned was put on the counter with the prepared food and it made its way into another order that was passed on to another person picking up food. Extremely disappointing practices present here, that item should have been disposed of immediately.

I’ve gone to Mr Giants in Whittier for 20 years ( when it was not Mr Giant ) Normally had good food! This morning no. To 30 minutes to get cold enchiladas, the cheese wasn’t even melted. I asked if they could warm it. another 10 minutes went in from patio, they can’t find my plate. My husband was finished with his breakfast. The enchiladas are now with a corn tortilla the size of soft tacos!!! 40.00 for 2 breakfast? Never again Mr Giants!!!

It is usually good but we waited over 30 minutes to get our food. When we were waiting we say them put a lot of food up on the counter and no one called any number. There was one bag of food that sat there for over 10 minutes. When we asked about our food it was that bag that had been sitting there for 10 minutes. When whe brought it up to an employee she said no that it was just put there and we were like"no we have been watching it for more than 10 minutes and it has not moved and people have been walking by it." When we eat the food it was cold and it was nasty because it SAT THERE ON THE COUNTER FOR 10+MINUTES before someone gave it to us.

Poor customer service. Not only once but multi of times. All the workers are rude and completely ignore the fact that you’re waiting to order. Very uncomfortable. We were trying to get a drink and one of the workers was blocking us from getting because she was talking to another guy through the window and completely ignored the fact that we were waiting. Another time we order our food to go and apparently they heard we were dining in, so instead of switching our food into a box they rudely gave us a box to move the nachos and wet burrito ourselves. Then one of the workers was like “oh do you want us to do it for you” (not mention the completely attitude they gave us) so I apologized again even though I know we order to go and asked if they can switch it over because it was going to be messy. So they take our food back to the kitchen. Long story short once we get home and open up the food there’s a big hand print on the wet Burrito. It looks like they just picked it up and threw it into the box and then tried to cover up the print. Literally lost my appetite. I could go on about a couple more times we have had bad experiences at this place. The food is good but we defiantly stopped going here just for the fact that we don’t feel welcome every time we walk into that restaurant. One star to zero stars on service.

My experience was horrible after I had a Mr. Giant red sauce chicken burrito. I didn't feel well and I headed to my meeting. I had to step out from the office to use the restroom. When I brought this up with my receipt to the owner Randy and he told me there is nothing he can do. Not a refund even having a receipt. I told him if a future customer comes in to eat and gets ill that there isn't nothing he can do. The way he tried to patronize me as a customer in which I didn't let myself. The owner doesn't care about his customers to treat them bad. Just for $9.84 you lost a customer who knows many people. And my people are going to tell their people. Doing the math you just lost hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I was recently introduced to mr giant from my son. I'll admit , the food is real good. Homemade Mexican food. What I can't understand is their customer service is SO BAD ? For instance , this morning , I called for 2 breakfast burritos 1 with no potato. They told me 20 minutes. When I arrived , they only made 1 with no potato and they told me 10 more minutes. Friday I called to order more food and they said "Hold please",no getting back on the phone to say one moment please and as I waited 10 minutes I just hung up. The moral of the story is, please , treat the people like you want to be treated. I'm absolutely positive that if I got treated this badly twice , someone else has been treated this badly. You're losing customers.

I ordered two tacos. It was good. My cashier was Randy H he was a very nice white man. I was irritated once I got my food and I seen it was a Hispanic lady with glasses she was older coughing in her hand. Then, with the same hand, she sprinkled some onions on someone food. Then after That she went over to a pot of food I’m literally watching her start yawning over the Food They all seen it, but never said anything. I was so irritated after I got my food never again ever eat there. She was very disgusting. I would rather go to Taco Bell then here the taco was amazing but everything else was horrible and customer service was very good. Just not sanitized. She’s very nasty.

I bought breakfast burrito called “breakfast burrito,” and it comes with egg, potato, beans and meat, when I got my burrito I cut it open and it was mostly beans, I saw two small little pieces of egg. I went and complained and they said that’s the way the burrito comes. One egg they said, I told them, that’s not one egg, I also said this is not right. It had two little pieces of egg, so small they were almost not visible, and then I asked my money back, they did refund me my money, I was about to take a picture to post and the manager or owner told one of the employees to take the plate from me, and she grabbed and snatched it from me, I’m never returning to this place ever again!

This place was once called “Los Sanchez,” before changed. Food first was good than tasted funky, I got food poisoning from the Al pastor tacos I had here on New Year’s Eve 2024. I was throwing up horribly. With this poor food quality, something needs to be done.

This place is disgusting. My mother came to visit me and brought me a bean and cheese burrito. It gave me food poisoning and I threw up four (4) times. The beans must have been rotten. I was extremely sick for two (2) days. Highly recommend not to eat here.

Don’t ever order their enchiladas!! They are so gross. The chicken was like little pieces of grilled chicken that looked like dog food. The sauce must be the cheapest sauce that they could buy. Enchiladas should be prepared with shredded chicken. Not chicken kibble. Gross! I tried to eat it. But it’s just so gross and doesn’t even taste like an enchilada. Very mad because the plate wasn’t cheap. And disappointed that I even have to write this review to warn anyone who doesn’t know this restaurant.

Ordered no avocado because I am allergic to it. Received the sandwich with avocado and told them . They then removed the avocado out the sandwich and handed it back. I asked for a new sandwich since there was still pieces of avocado inside and the old lady in the back started yelling at me and said “Vayate” meaning to get out. Then another cook came and apologized and offered to remake my sandwich . I said no thank you. Very disappointed.

I ordered 8 ground beef hard shell tacos and they made me sick and got the runs. The tacos were not hardshell and they were smush.. the meat was red and looked like spaghetti meat sauce...my first and last time coming here. There lucky it was to go if not i would have returned the food.

The lady that works there and says she owns the place was very rude to my brother and I when we went to eat lunch there.

Im unsatisfied by the food. The soup to go is ridiculous. Ask for albondigas and u get 1 meatball and ginormous vegtables. Some vegetables i never ate. Its the only restaurant around that location so it's that's spot to go to when your hungry and nothing else is around .. Majority of the food is cooked in the microwave . Just keeping it real.

@ Mr. GIANT - I'm sure with how expensive your food has become, you could afford to add fresh and not ROTTEN avocado to a carne asada plate. The meat was old and over-seasoned. It's probably to hide the taste. 2nd horrible experience, you have officially lost a customer.
