Loma's at the Opera House

What a wonderful place to have just discovered! One of the most beautiful spaces I've been in. The pork rinds were fresh and still popping. Lunch was fast and delicious. Amy our server was friendly and charming. Can't wait to try more from the menu!

I am not a huge fan of Brussel sprouts, but these were really good. The fish and chips are cooked perfectly, the fish was nice and soft just how it should be. The sweet potato fries are very tasty. Our server was very kind and professional. I definitely will be going back for more great food and great service.

My first trip to Loma's and I am already looking forward to my next visit!! Went with friends who had been before, and they confirmed that the food and service quality was consistently outstanding with every visit. A new favorite for sure!

Absolutely great find while hiking in the area this weekend. The KY Hot Brown was phenomenal, the atmosphere is on point and the server was outstanding. Must stop when visit the area!

Come to Loma’s for a very different experience of the city of Winchester. When you walk inside it’s decorated very well, love the atmosphere! Foodies need to come here for the food alone. So many TVs in case you want to watch the game. Ask for Megan as a bartender she will not let you down.

Loma's never fails me! Each time I have been, the service and food are so wonderful! You MUST try the desserts!! This is a great place to have lunch with friends or have a date night!

What a wonderful experience! We stopped in mid week for an early lunch. The menu was amazing - loved the brussel sprouts with marmalade and bourbon bacon - salmon blt was over the top and the salmon salad was exceptional. Side salad with beer cheese vinaigrette - who knew? The atmosphere is great - warm and eclectic and the service was first rate. The only downside was that we didn’t have enough appetite to stay for dessert or a cocktail!

My first visit was for lunch on a wednesday afternoon. I was greeted immediately by a very friendly server. She knew the menu well and made several suggestions. The food came out very quickly, the environment was clean and classy. If I could change one thing, I wish they had a bigger variety on their menu. Overall I was fairly impressed.

I love this place! When I bring someone to visit Winchester I bring them here. It is a beautiful building with outstanding food. It has some more upscale options and some more casual options like burgers. Everything they have is absolutely delicious. My favorite date night place in town too! I love the brussel sprouts and the beer cheese burger the most!

2024-05-14 It's unusual to get a really good server these days. We found one in Autumn. She was professional, very sweet and did an excellent job taking care of us. The food was good with generous portions and I loved the venue. If you ever find yourself in the sprawling metropolis of Winchester 😃 Loma's is worth a visit.

First time visiting Loma's on a dinner date with my wife. We both were impressed with the quality and value of the food and cocktails, the service, and ambience. Classy restaurant but not stuffy. The grilled salmon was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

I ate here last night with my coworkers and it was phenomenal. Our server, Jessie, was so kind and they were very helpful with recommendations (I also loved their spider brooch! Spooky and elegant). I ordered the hot brown, and was blown away. The serving was just big enough for me to have leftovers , but it wasn't overwhelmingly huge. We had the tots as our starter and they were delightful! The place is beautifully decorated and spacious enough that you don't feel like you're encroaching on other tables. The art modernizes the building without taking away from its history. Overall, I loved this place. A gorgeous hidden gem in Winchester and I cannot wait to go back!

The broccoli beer cheese soup and the glazed Brussels sprouts are incredible. Just moved to Winchester and met some friends there for lunch. I recommend trying it.

Elliot was our server and his positive energy and laugh were contagious! The service was great, everyone was very friendly and our food was delicious! We will 100% go back. If you're looking for an app, the Lomas Tots were really good!

We are visiting town for fall break. Our waitress Megan S. went way above and beyond. She was so sweet and made our daughter a fresh lemonade and drew a beautiful picture for her! Our food was amazing, and we plan to return Saturday to try the steak which was highly recommended by the staff at Betsy's Boutique Shop. We look forward to another great meal. 😋

Had my son’s rehearsal dinner there and it was perfect! Food was delicious and we had a great server!

Customer service centric. A menu that showcases Winchester and beer cheese. A wonderfully calming atmosphere. We had a delightful Sunday brunch as they had sour dough french toast stuffed with ricotta and blueberrie compote as a special. Wonderful experience and staff.

First of all the place has such a cool look to it. The waiting room has really nice couches and the staff seemed apologetic of a ten minute wait which I was fine with. The staff here is amazing! The food is out of this world. The beer cheese burger had so many next level ingredients all dancing together. The patty was beautifully seared.. Their Mac and cheese was creamy and smokey. The sweet potato fries where nice and crispy... This place has great people who care about top flight service and food. EAT HERE!!!!

The food, the atmosphere, the staff, all incredible! The staff is personable and attentive, the restaurant is clean and cozy and the food is mind blowing, seriously. The steak tzatziki sandwich, the Gouda Mac and cheese, and the IPA fish sandwich were so good my mouth is watering just thinking about them while I write this. Excellent new (and needed) addition to Winchester. Looking forward to bringing my loved ones here!

We enjoy frequenting Loma's atleats once a week most weeks more often. The food is always beyond delicious. We enjoy eating in the bar area the bartenders (Amy, Megan) are always super friendly and they take the time to make u feel welcome and seen (no matter how busy they are). This is an all around 5 star experience. My Husband and I love this place ❤️

I really liked the menu because it had something for any taste and you can bring a crowd here and everyone will find something on the menu they liked. I came at lunch and I got the fish sandwich and braised greens. Fish was perfectly fried and the cabbage on the sandwich was nicely acidic for the fried fish. The braised greens were TASTY! Everyone at my table really enjoyed their food! The ambiance and decor was so nice and airy we went ahead and got dessert and coffees. The service was very attentive and charming. Winchester deserves a great restaurant like this! (And saves me a drive to Lexington!)

The food is great, but I gave a 4 rating because the sizes of the steaks have decreased and the price has increased. The Beer Cheese Burger is so good. I've had it several times and it never disappoints. That's not the best picture of the burger, but it was done to perfection. I love the atmosphere there. It's such a pretty restaurant on the inside. When it's cold, they have the fireplace going. On their entree's list, I've had every meal except the chicken tenders. All are very good except the fish and chips. They almost always fry the fish way too long. We do really enjoy eating there though.

Great place for a quiet intimate meal. Tables spread out thoughtfully. A good place for date night. Food was good but not exceptional. I had the Alfredo and thought it needed less sauce. More like a soup. You have to find parking, like most places downtown but was not too difficult. Service was excellent my wife and I had a very nice time here.

Ribeye was delicious, wife said the scallops had the best flavor, and my son certainly enjoyed the Mac-n-cheese. Everything was very enjoyable, and our waitress was great.

Unfortunately forgot to take any pics while here, the atmosphere was nice we sat in the bar. Drinks were mixed well. And the appetizer we got was amazing, Lomas tots - they had lots of flavor and the sauce was great. I got the salmon, broccolini, and tried some Mac and cheese from other, Mac a cheese was kinda dry but could see it had potential. Other things our group got was the chicken strips, and 2 of the sandwiches there were no complaints from the table.

Great food and service. One of the best hot browns I have had yet. Appetizer was great, I have never seen pork rinds offered as an appetizer, well worth it! The blackberry lemonade (vodka based) was not as good as it sounds, the blackberry and lemonade flavor was weak, for a cocktail like this I would muddle a couple of blackberries with some simple syrup, add vodka and fresh lemonade, shake with ice, dirty pour into glass and top with soda water. The second thing I wouldn't do is serve the hot brown in a bowl, these things are piping hot, and trying to cut an open face "sandwich" in a bowl is difficult when the bowl is about as hot as the sun...the hot brown itself was amazing, I would order it again but request it served on a plate. My wife had the turkey club sandwich and loved it. We will be back and I highly recommend them if your in the area.

I was disappointed in the experience at Loma’s for Mother’s Day. They were out of fish - which knocks 50% of the entrees and 33% of the handhelds off the menu. The top highlighted and featured items on Google are all fish. It’s why we made a reservation. Of the items left, they were featuring chicken and waffles. For $18 you get two, very meager, chicken tenders and two Eggo-quality waffles with a side of potatoes. For the quality and quantity I’d say it was a meal worth less than $10. If you’re looking for comps, Raising Canes has a 2pc kids meal for $7 and Malone’s offers their ~8pc chicken tenders for $17 In total, it cost three of us $86 to enjoy three drinks, four chicken tenders, potatoes and six waffles (including tip).

Great atmosphere and a great location in downtown Winchester. The service was a little slow (took 30 minutes to get seated and over 30 minutes to get our food once we had ordered) but the servers were very friendly. The food is hit or miss however. My family had the fish and chips, and it was delicious. I had the Blueberry Basil Burger, which was very disappointing. The toppings themselves were fresh, but the burger was unseasoned, bland, and a little overcooked, and overall it just wasn't a good burger. A little salt and pepper mixed into the burger meat goes a long way when it comes to the flavor of the meat, and it just didn't have any flavor.

First it’s hard to make a reservation. I attempted to make reservation online Never received a confirmation. Twice I called and left a message with no return call. The third time I called I got a live person. The first time we ate there the food (steak)was exceptional. Well prepared and tasty The wait staff was polite and efficient. Second visit food was good but not great. We attributed it to a busy weekend. Tonight’s meal was sub par. Steaks were not prepared as ordered.(well done was oozing pink in center). Meat was tough. Wrong side orders were brought. This was made right but meal was almost finished by this time.

I ordered the filet medium rare. It was bleeding. The tots could have been amazing but had a fish flavor. Not sure if fish was cooked in the oil earlier, if so, that was a big no no. Service was great. Atmosphere was great, too bad the food wasn't.

Burger wasn’t cooked properly. The cole slaw and tartar sauce was left in the kitchen for the fish and chips order. Service was kind, but slow. Restaurant seemed understaffed for a Saturday night even though it wasn’t that busy.

Service was slow but decent for what it was. Waitress didn't give use time to complete the appetizer order before she went off to put it in. I believe this was one of the reasons that one of the appetizes were overcooked. The entrees left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Grilled Filet Mignon, grilled it was not. It was seared way to hard but had a good flavor and was cooked med-raw as requested. My mother ordered Chicken Tender Entree and they were way overcooked and her Sweet Potato Fries were soggy as if they had been sitting. Overall not impressed with the food or service and I will not return.

The location and atmosphere of Loma's are both great! If you are coming here for a drink and to watch the game, I give it 5 stars. If you are coming here for dinner, you'll be flipping a coin. There are very nice selections on the menu, but the kitchen seems to have much difficulty producing those selections. We have visited this restaurant twice, and the issues we had were undercooked food (one fried fish nearly frozen in middle, cold/room temp fries), wrong items cooked (ordered fish and received chicken), and inconsistent dishes (two of us ordered shrimp & grits--one was flavorful and seasoned well, but the other had little to no taste at all). The staff were helpful and did a good job. I had high hopes.

I’m here now, I’ve called and tried to place an order .. no answer do I decided to drive here and order . I can in & No one would take my order so I called (while still here) and was told it’s an hour wait till they can put in my food… I said I would still like to order and was put on hold .. I’m still on hold (20 minutes) while sitting in the lobby .. I spoke to the lady in front and told her I understand the wait but I would like to put in my food, can I be seated and order with a waitress .. I’ll tip. She said no… there are open tables and waitress standing around so I’m a bit confused . She said I can’t order for an hour … in a hour they will be closed . I have my taste buds set on something on their menu.. otherwise I would have left . But I’m going to sit here to see how this is played out . She also said the kitchen is overwhelmed.. 🧐 ok . Edit : I’m at the bar and there is this lady who hasn’t ordered yet either , I told her what was told to me .. that I couldn’t put my order in for an hour . She said they didn’t tell her that (older Caucasian woman) me being mixed female . Edit: bartender finally took my order ☺️ Food is great . Service today not so much . I’ll edit if my next experience is better 💕

If you want a fresh, crisp salad that crunches when you bite into it, go to Wendy's. If you want brown lettuce and an actual rotting tomato (wish I was exaggerating), go to Lomas on main. If you want good service with friendly people that take accountability for their job, go to hibachi. If you want your time wasted, then get attitude and no accountability from the servers and managers when they serve rotting salad, go to Lomas "fine dining" on main st.

My wife and I visit Lomas maybe every other month. It had always been a great experience and we like supporting local. Tonight was a little different. We entered Lomas very hungry. Started off well. As soon as we were seated our waitress was there and we had drinks very quickly. The waitress took our order quickly. It seemed like a long time and no food but my wife noticed the people that came in after us had their appetizers. Then they got their food. I went to find waitress and bartender said he would find out what was going on. The bartender said we would be up in a couple of minutes. After a total of at least 45 minutes of total waiting we decided to pay for our drinks and find food elsewhere. Even that interaction seemed wonky. I did not see waitress so I told bartender that we wanted to pay for drinks and go. I will admit that after 45 minutes of waiting for food I thought that they would comp the drinks. Not only did they not comp them but I had to wait til they were ready to ring them up. We did get an apology but also said the kitchen was slammed due to a party. I said the people behind us came in after us and had both appetizers and food while we had nothing. My wife mentioned maybe the waitress forgot to put it in. We were told no that it was in the computer. Still not sure why we didn't get food for 45 plus minutes and why people after us had food and appetizers but good to know it was in the computer. The other question is when our waitress realized there was an issue why didn't she come and talk to us? We never interacted again after she took our order. I wish Lomas well as they are a local restaurant where we have limited choices. Tonight's experience was not good.

I travel all over the country and I decided to try this place out. It looked fancy from the outside and had a nice menu. Looks are deceiving, I ordered a pour of Weller bourbon. I had the fish and chips. The fish and chips were greasy, the fries were saturated in grease and limp. I got my bill and was shocked to see that they charged me $15 for a pour of Weller, which is made in a Distillery, and in plenty supply down the street. I recommend you to stay away from this place it’s overpriced, and the food that I had sucked.
