We really enjoyed our evening at GOGOS. The staff are exceptional - so friendly and attentive - every single member of the team. Food was really good, fresh and tasty. Some things slightly missed the mark but no problems as such, just our taste. We has prosecco, cocktails, beers, 3 courses and all of it was great. Definitely would return!

Beautiful South African restaurant, friendly staff. Little hidden gem by the Windsor marina, with easy parking. Delicious ribs, these was the most chosen by everyone. 😋 The starter size with extra chips was enough for me as the main portion is huge! Only for big appetite!

We had a truly memorable dinner at Gogo’s — easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Windsor. I went with my parents and grandmother, and we all left raving about the food, the atmosphere, and the incredible hospitality. The setting was stunning. We were seated in the outdoor tent area, right by the river, with a lovely view of the yachts. The food was fantastic. My dad and I both had the sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. My mum had the mint lamb and my grandma enjoyed the salmon. We also shared the braai meat platter — generous, juicy, and beautifully grilled. For dessert, my mum had the brownie with pistachio ice cream, and I had the malva pudding (also with pistachio ice cream). Both were rich, comforting, and a perfect end to the meal. What made the experience even better was the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. Their warmth really made us feel at home. Highly recommend Gogo’s to anyone looking for delicious food, amazing views, and truly heartfelt service. We’ll definitely be back!

We dined at Gogos with friends for lunch, it was a bit chilly so we sat indoors, although the decor was lovely, it was a bit quiet and lacking in ambience, but I’m sure sitting outdoors on a sunny day would have been a very different experience with the views. On the whole food was tasty, with some good vegan options, but the best part for us was that it was dog friendly 🐶

It was my pleasure to shoot Teddy & Ally's wedding at your beautiful restaurant. Whenever I get a wedding client in Windsor, I'm referring them to you! Thank you for the delicious food.

We’ve been to this restaurant twice—once during the Christmas season and again about a month ago. I have a severe allergy to onion and garlic, and I really appreciated how seriously the staff took my dietary restrictions. They offered me several safe options to choose from, which made me feel very well cared for. The first time, I ordered the steak with blue cheese sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly —tender and flavourful, and the blue cheese sauce paired beautifully with it. During our second visit, I had another steak. While it wasn’t quite as amazing as the first time (possibly a different cut), it was still very tasty and enjoyable. Overall, I can strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food, a warm atmosphere, and attentive service. We’ll definitely be back!

This lovely restaurant is an unexpected gem on the river Thames. I came with my dog and we were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing I’m coming back!

Gogo’s not only get you out of the touristy town of Windsor but it also gives you a superb dining experience ! Their menu selections are so creative and fresh — we seem to land on a ‘salmon theme’ and we were not disappointed. We started with a new menu item — the salmon ceviche tacos (delicate, but hardy!) and watermelon mint salad. Then, as an entree, the salmon couscous salad (ample portion) and the fillet of salmon w broccoli & potatoes entree. It was all delightful and delicious! Our servers were fantastic and made sure that we were well taken care of, despite the trickling in of additional diner. Highly recommend on so many levels!!! Even at night, Gogo’s is a very cool vibe!

We have been having breakfast there a few times after coming to visit our friend who live at the marina. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing, always smiling, friendly. It's such a lovely place

I was here as part of a wedding celebration so we had the hired, private room at the back including exclusive access to the upstairs terrace which was fantastic, especially given the great weather. The food was really good quality and very tasty, and the portions were good. All of the staff who looked after us were friendly and attentive, especially the man behind the bar who served us right through until closing and was constantly smiling and friendly. The venue itself is situated next to a marina and the terrace was the perfect spot for watching the sunset. All in all we had a great experience here and would happily come again.

We discovered this lovely cafe/restaurant by the boats and loved the location. Quirky in its decor, with a different menu. The service was quick and attentive. My only criticism was the food. I ordered the mushrooms on sour dough. The mushrooms were very fibrous and amazing. Unfortunately the poached eggs were cold, which spoilt the dish. Shame. Lovely spot.

One of the BEST South African places I’ve been too in a long time. Food is amazing the Biltong Butter is the best thing I’ve ever tried in my life. Recommended!!!

Some food was excellent, some food was good but not quite as excellent, but overall everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent, attentive but not rushed. Atmosphere is lovely although they could do with more comfy chairs.

I had been emailing Cam back and forth a few times because I am gluten free, lactose intolerant, no garlic or onions. We wanted to go for our anniversary. Cam was extremely helpful and kind and told me what I could eat. We got to eat in a separate room to the main restaurant it was so lovely it had a lot of character we got to sit in front of the fireplace. All the staff was extremely nice and friendly. The food was so good I was so jealous of the food my husband ate and wish I could eat it!! I wish there was more items on the menu I could eat as it was only the one option it was very tasty but I love food I always want more! When we were leaving I wanted to take a photo with the fireplace but it had died the server was so kind and relit it so we could have a lovely photo and it's one of my favourites. I would highly recommend this place the food is to die for. Their drinks were also really good I was in love with my wine and my husband loved his cocktail!

Absolutely amazing food served with an exceptional smile and warmth. A whole crowd of us went for our Managers 50th Birthday. Made amendments to our booking right up until 3 hours before our dining time which were accommodated. Upgraded to a private dining area. Music catered for. Will definitely be coming back for more events and can’t wait for the summer to enjoy the full waterfront experience. Thank you for helping us celebrate 🎉

We went for a long overdue catch up and are so glad we booked here. The service was fantastic, welcoming and very helpful when we needed a little rescuing with a safety pin 🙈 We couldn't decide on food so we got 2 sharers and the espetadas. Everything we had was excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked and the platters were delicious.

Brilliant place for South African themed food, we visit a lot and have never been disappointed. Just been back (June 25) fabulous service and the food was excellent. Try the ribs, outstanding. Wine reasonable and the service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended.

Gogos was the epitome of great service. The best thing is they are pet friendly. The service is fantastic. I am Gluten Intolerant, and so I had to get the manager to let me know what I could eat. The option was only a chicken burger with a GF bun, which I ordered but then decided to try the day's special, which was Venison Curry. The manager went to check with the chef about my GF options a couple of times and was very patient with all my questions. Our little Doggie sat people watching under the table and got a few pats from the staff, which he enjoyed 😀 The ribs I am told were melt in the mouth and delicious, so was my Venison curry. Lovely flavours and perfectly cooked meat. For dessert there was a black coconut icecream which was delicious and we even got a free portion as they had served extra. To my delight, the server made let me know it was Gluten Free so I devoured that despite digging into some from my neice 😄

Lovely setting by the marina, relaxed environment and service with a smile! The food was delicious...fresh, tasty, I had the burger which was the real deal, my friend has dietary restrictions and she was happy with the options she could pick from . Really enjoyable experience.

Stopped in for quick lunch date - the atmosphere is beautiful. The staff are sooo friendly and polite. Service was spot on and our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu to give some suggestions. The food was exceptional- the mussels delivered a burst of freshness but their taste was still preserved. The ribs fell off the bone 🙌🏽 everything was perfect. Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely fantastic evening at Gogos celebrating a friends 40th birthday in the private dining area. The food was absolutely delicious - the ribs slid off the bone. Brilliant fun party atmosphere. Big shout out to George who was a wonderful host and looked after us all so well.

🎄❤️ An excellent Christmas gathering for our group of ladies at this stunning and relaxing marina location, slightly out of Windsor town centre. The festive season menu was a delight, wines were lovely and a great evening was had by all 🥂🍽😋😍

We have now been to Gogos a few times for a variety of meals and always had a great meal there. Food is amazing, service attentive and lovely atmosphere. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful on our most recent visit, and we can’t wait to go back there again!

We had a wonderful dinner at GOGOS. Lovely staff, lovely, cozy atmosphere, and the food was absolutely spot on. And one massive bonus: they are very dog friendly, which made our night even more enjoyable, as we were allowed to bring our baby girl with us. Many thanks

Brunch with mimosa and coffee on new years eve. Absolute delight. Service was excellent, chatty and welcoming. Food came out in good time (Eggs Benedict with and extra Boerewos). Would like to come back for a romantic dinner. 😁

Not hard to find, plenty parking space and a beautiful location and view, even if it was raining, for sure summer it will be much better. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was very nice and well balanced, not too loud or crazy but comfortable vibrant and relaxing. The staff are great and service, truly great. The drinks selection is plenty, fancy and tasty nice. The reason for only 4 star is the food. I wouldn't call it south African, more European mixed pallete and in my opinion some what disappointed as i had high expectations but felt like a regular go to restaurant. Would I recommended it? I suppose I would but more to do with the view, location and atmosphere.

South African restaurant on the waters edge very close to Windsor Horse racing track 😀🐎🏇 Nice welcome into the restaurant which is bigger than you think😀 Nice little bar area too 😀 Good service by uniformed team 🇿🇦 style 😀 Nice menu with plenty of choice and also a fixed price menu 😀 Polite and friendly service and a friendly atmosphere👍🏼 Chose the short Rib, others had fish and the chicken skewers which were all good. Soft drinks and ☕️ very nice. A well priced restaurant 😀 Toilets nice and clean 👏 Would go again 😀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Lovely food and staff. Fun menu. Sugar was on the table alongside the salt and pepper which I had never seen before. Very quaint. The insects outside got a little intense, because you’re right next to the water, but you can always sit inside. Also, they were very pretty, not your usual insects at all. Hopeful to return one day for the breakfast!

Very nice venue, the weather was great so we sat outside. Great views across the water looking towards the racecourse. Friendly and helpful staff as needed 2 high chairs for our family. Good menu and drink selection. Would recommend.

Very nice. Clean, welcoming, and friendly staff. Good sized portions and value for money. A member of staff dropped a sauce pot off a plate she was taking outside, and it splashed up my sons bare legs and onto his new white trainers. It made him jump when it happened, and he dropped a bit of his sauce o to his light coloured shorts. The staff cleaned the floor and eventually got my son a cloth to clean himself, but no apology was forthcoming. Would have been 5 stars otherwise

This is a lovely restaurant next to the Windsor racecourse. I went with my colleagues on a Friday. We loved the food and drink. Peri peri chicken skewer- I felt chicken was slightly harder, but it could be my taste. Staffs are friendly. Though it took time to get the orders, but while talking you won’t felt the delay - possibly they made the food freshly which was time taking. They got sitting inside and outside, however on a cold afternoon we preferred to seat inside. Plenty of car parks.

The restaurant entrance is not the easiest to find but once in you find a lovely atmosphere and decor. The staff & service were great. The food was well presented and well cooked; the ribs just fell off the bone. The starters; pate, calamri, hummus & wings were thoroughly enjoyable but we ran out of bread before the pate & hummus were finished. We probably could have asked for more but we didn't. Mains were fish, steak, ribs, zulu beef & chicken, unfortunately, most of the meats were not seasoned enough for us as the flavours seemed to be in the sauces rather than the meats. Desserts were Eton Mess, Lemon posset, Sticky Toffee and a Milkshake that I can't remember the name of but for once I remembered to take pictures! Well nearly; I finished the pate before I remembered 🤷🏻‍♀️

Always a treat here. Service was good. Only down a notch because we booked an outdoor table and their heaters were out of propane. The day was unexpectedly cold & and breezy. we could have been a bit more comfortable if inside tables were available or the outdoor heating lamps worked. They did have blankets though and we were pretty well looked after.

Very good food, the ribs are some of the best I've ever had, and the malva pudding was incredible. The staff were very friendly. My only slight issue was that the place was a bit cold. Will definitely be coming here again.

We celebrated a special occasion with a few friends and were welcomed by a lovely atmosphere. While the service started off a bit slow and one of our orders was initially missed, Inder, the manager, addressed the issue promptly and professionally. His excellent service really made a difference and turned the experience into a memorable one. As always, the food was absolutely delicious!

We came here for dinner and were satisfied with our meal for the most part. The restaurant had a very limited vegetarian menu, but the vegan burger tasted pretty good as well as the masala fries. The chakalaka rice was good too, but the portion size was larger than expected and we didn’t finish all of it. Overall, it was a pretty decent meal.

Beautiful place to dine, but unfortunately, the location is better than the food. I'm sorry as I've heard great things about this place. Maybe I just didn't get the best dish. But it's a very nice location

It was a quick find. It's south african based food but not to the taste of South Africa's roots. Friendly vibrant atmosphere. It was disappointing one pays a service charge thats added to bill but on the paper says its discretionary. However its in a nice place lacks the authentication of true Boer taste. We were referred here by South Africans on our trip in Windsor as we are South african. It's well presented the food. Not enough air con on such a hot day. This wasn't great for us doesn't mean it won't be delicious for another. The waitress didn't come to our table you must present yourself to the bar!

S

I had a reservation but the waitress made a bit of a fuss initially, saying it wasn’t there, even after I showed her my email confirmation. She then went on to try and seat us near the door and I asked to be moved to a warmer table. She moved us to a table near a different door that was constantly left open to the cold by various staff members. With my breakfast order, as I am intolerant of avocado (not a dislike but an actual intolerance), I asked if I could have mushrooms instead. She said, “As we are not busy, I can do that for you,” which I thought was an odd thing to say during a breakfast service which had several dishes with mushrooms as an option. My friend asked for an americano and a drop of oat milk on the side. Whilst the food was tasty, we were baffled when the bill came - she had charged me EXTRA for the mushrooms and also for the thimble of oat milk. Sad really as the food was tasty but I won’t be returning. If she had told me that mushrooms would be extra, I probably would not have had them. Not a great experience and absolutely ridiculous service.

Restaurant is fine, sadly they have stopped doing the Sunday roast. I had the short rib of beef well it was definitely short on beef 90% was fat and one mouthful of beef for £29 I wasn’t impressed. I was offered a free dessert but we didn’t stay for desserts so declined. Not great service from the manager but the staff are lovely. We asked what a certain vegetable was they did t know and had to go and ask it was Swiss chard no taste at all.

s
sharmila bhowmik

Although we were informed that food would take longer than usual, an hours wait is not really acceptable. They were short staffed as they had a big group of people, either get more staff or keep the restaurant closed for others. I go here quite often, but was thoroughly disappointed this time, food portion was also less compared to other times I have been here. They give more calamari than this, on pointing it out they took of 25pc off the cost of Calamari (£2) as a good will gesture 🙄🙄🙄. I mean 1 hr wait and food served with unreasonable portions, think they could have done better as way of apologize

B
Beautiful Everyday

The place itself is beautiful and the servers were nice enough, however… after a 30 minute wait for our food the waitress returns to say that they are out of rice -which should be served with the curry-… a restaurant running out of rice at 1pm on a Sunday is a new one and they are not even busy. Maybe 5 tables maximum dining. My husband was offered either extra bread or chips instead of the rice, or to change his order altogether. He reluctantly decides to change his order but the other 2 dishes for the table get served before they return to ask for his decision… of the other dishes ordered: Cape Malay Salmon with mango cous cous… the fluffy couscous turns out be overcooked mushy plain couscous with 2 spoonfuls of mango chutney on top instead of fresh mango, a few half dead wilting rocket leaves and cucumber slices around the bowl, no dressing whatsoever and none of the toasted pumpkin seeds. It looks like something you could knock up at home, although you would do a better job yourself. The ribs were okay but nothing special. When the bill arrives, they have added the new dish to the bill but didn’t remove the curry. When we call the waitress somehow she already knows that the curry hasn’t been taken off the bill. They do that after we ask but the 10% service charge stays firmly in place. We paid up and left, never to return again.
