I found my place. What an absolute gem. Sarah was a fantastic server. the guy at the host stand was friendly and helpful especially with parking validation. I had brunch. The drinks and food were delicious. I had the special of the day - quiche. Extremely flavorful. I hope you go when there’s great weather to sit on the patio. The potato chips are or to be missed.

I had a fantastic dinner here recently. The host that greeted and seated me was pleasant and helpful. All staff that I interacted with were first class. All of my food was beautifully presented , fresh and appropriate temperatures. The outdoor seating area is large and the indoor seating atea is nicely decorated and cozy. with a full house indoors it is rather loud . I recommend this place for first class, dining in Winston-Salem all food and drinks outstanding. Prices are reasonable and portions are adequate.

We had a wonderful lunch with terrific food and service. It was a beautiful fall day to sit on the heated patio. There was a nice range of menu options and everything we had was great!

This is an upscale place that when you walk into from the street is a whole new world! We came in for some appetizers and drinks, sat at the bar and everything was wonderful! I cannot stress enough, if you come here, you absolutely HAVE to have the espresso martini! I have had a lot of espresso martinis and this one...THE BEST.

Upscale experience at reasonable prices. This newly opened restaurant provided great service and excellent food. Definitely get the potato chip appetizer. It's a flavor explosion! The lemon pasta was superb with new flavors for my palate. The smashburger was more like a slider. It had good flavor and I really liked the crunchy shoestring french fries, but I probably wouldn't get it again. However the buttermilk panna cotta was the perfect way to finish our dinner. Betty on Burke is located in the same building as Snob, but on the opposite side. Definitely visit this place for a great experience!

My son took me to Betty on Burke for Mother’s Day. We started with cocktails and shared two appetizers: the gnocchi with mushrooms and sweet peas, and a biscuit filled with cheesecake and topped with fresh strawberries. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The sweet peas and mushrooms were perfectly sautéed in a flavorful sauce that really stood out. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was equally impressive—stylish, modern, and welcoming.

Betty on Burke is such a lovely spot! Drinks were delicious, food was good, and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit.

We met some friends at Betty on Burke for a Saturday lunch. I didn't really have any expectations and I can be difficult to please as I'm a published chef. Let me tell you, this place is EXCELLENT. Very creative menu for those that feel adventurous (like me) or simple items for those that are less adventurous. The highlights for me were the Potato Chips with Carmelized Fennel and Labneh and the Potato Pancakes. Both of which were fantastic. My wife got the tuna salad and loved it. I also had the veggie bowl which was wholesome and delicious. It is NOT CHEAP. You're going to spend some money here. Felt it was worth every dime. Top shelf service, food, ambiance. Loved it. Highly reccomend it.

Great place! My wife and I came here for a date night, great ambiance, great food! Friendly staff! The rice paper ahi tuna tacos are unlike anything I’ve tasted before-definitely get these!

Had a great brunch experience! Food was delicious & service was fantastic, can’t wait to go again!

Had a yummy first experience at Betty last night at their first wine dinner. Chef Jay is really flexing his culinary skills with some fun and delicious new dishes. Like the sister restaurant Mozelle’s, service was top notch. That’s to be expected from owner Jennifer. And the decor Jennifer has put together (including some amazing oyster shell chandeliers) is as fun and elegant as the food. Keith as GM is a great fit bringing an impeccable CV from our favorite Charleston restaurants like Chez Nous. My favorite dish of the night was the Ahi tacos. The shells were fried rice paper! And the Japanese Barbecue was perfect. We ate outside and really loved it, even on a crisp Fall night. We are looking forward to future visits!

Food is great and the vibes are wonderful outdoors but the real gem was our server Brandon. He was attentive but so personable, we loved having him as our server and he made our whole meal spectacular and so inviting. I would come here every time I visit if I knew he was working!

Our first visit and loved this restaurant. Great vibe. Lovely service. Good menu and wines. Highly recommended. We came Saturday afternoon when they have a brunch-only menu. But had the lemon arugula pasta with chicken. And fried oysters to start (there was a pearl!) it was delish.

It was our first time dining here today and it will be the first of MANY. The restaurant itself was BEAUTIFUL but the food and service were next level. Highly recommend the pork schnitzel. Amber was top notch, and the manager even left us with great suggestions to complete our afternoon in Winston.

This place has quickly become a staple for us! The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always very friendly, the decor is of course impeccable! If you come for brunch (and you should!) Don’t sleep on the breakfast tacos- with the best homade tortillas- or the banana pudding pancakes -YUUUUUM! Would love to see a waffle make an appearance 😉 But overall, super fantastical deliciousness!

Betty on Burke surpassed expectations. The service was amazing, the cocktails were delicious, and the appetizers and entrees were to die for. The margaritas were the best I have had in North Carolina. The Ahi tacos were so fresh! We got the Duck confit and the smashburger, both were impeccable. I could not say enough great things and can’t wait to go back!! Perfect date night spot.

This place is astounding!! You have to go. Every single inch of this place was so NYC, and I used to live there. The food was phenomenal. Appetizer to desert. Classy place. Every guest was also dressed up like us. This place is delicious and a vibe. I will be back.

We live in West End, but had no idea this place existed until last night. Everything was on point, the food (which was unique and very tasty), service (Benj is great), atmosphere (indoor and outdoor), all of it. Actually, it feels like a slice of NYC right here in WS tbh. I’m still thinking about the lemon spaghetti this morning. You might need a reservation, though we were able to walk up and get a table at 6pm on a Friday. Will definitely be back!

Some of the best service that I’ve had at any local owned restaurant in a long time. Our waiter was so attentive and the timing of our food was on point. We didn’t have to wait long for anything. They even brought out a tiny stool for my handbag. What a nice touch! Atmosphere was great as well. Highly recommend!

This is a very cool spot! It's a little hidden as the entrance is in the back, but the food and service were excellent. I was with a group of 7 and even though the place was packed, the service was on point and the food came out at a reasonable time. I will definitely come back! The Koren Beef was delicious!

Excellent lunch today at the beautiful Betty on Burke. Delicious fried oyster starter with tasty sauce. Ahi tuna tacos were unlike anything I have ever enjoyed. So many flavors! We look forward to a return visit soon.

The food was very good but it the selection is limited and it's very a la carte and smaller portions. I would like if they offered more vegetable sides to go with something like their pumpkin ravioli. The restaurant is intimate and beautifully furnished. It's not for large groups but they accomodated 6 easily.

I would give this sixteen stars if I could! The attention to detail is phenomenal. I loved it so much I’ll be back again tomorrow. AND they have a 99.5 sanitation rating?! I am so curious what the .5 deduction was because that’s so impressive!! The manager tonight was wonderful and the service was incredible

Fantastic Food, Drinks, and Atmosphere Betty on Burke is an absolute gem in Winston-Salem! The vegetarian burger was truly delicious—perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and satisfying. The string fries were amazing—crispy, light, and addictive. Their appetizers are excellent too, with plenty of healthy and creative options that make it easy to find something for everyone. The cocktails were well-balanced and refreshing, and the pricing is very fair for the high quality of food and drinks. From start to finish, everything felt thoughtfully prepared and presented. Can’t wait to come back!

We've been to this resturant 3 times now; and are never disappointed. The dishes are unique and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the service is great! Oh and the bathrooms are gorgeous! Lol!

We have enjoyed this restaurant twice since it opened, and have already made reservations for our next meal. It has such charm, and no detail has been overlooked. The food is unique and delicious, and the service is excellent. We have friends visiting from out-of-state and we are certain of our choice to give them a glimpse of Winston-Salem and all that it has to offer! Betty on Burke provides impressive cuisine with an intimate atmosphere. Can’t wait until our next visit!

The homemade Potato chips are a Star...they have an upscale yogurt and caramelized fennel dip on the bottom which is Devine. All of our meals was Great....3 out of 4 people we were with got the Korean Beef BBQ....Fantastic. The other friend got lemon cream pasta with chicken and it was Delightful 😊 Highly recommend Betty on Burke

This is such a cute little spot! The outside patio area was beautiful with roses and birds of paradise dotted around near and on tables. The food and service were also top notch! I definitely recommend it and will be going back as well!

While in town for High Point Market, we couldn't get a reservation at our usual go-to, Mozelle's, but discovered their new sister restaurant — Betty on Burke. WOW! We were absolutely not disappointed. The food was incredible — beautifully prepared and full of flavor — and the atmosphere was equally impressive, with a refined, elevated feel much like Mozelle's. It's a gorgeous space with an inviting vibe that made our evening special. We’re thrilled to now have two amazing dining options whenever we’re in Winston-Salem. Betty on Burke is a must-visit!

Betty on Burke was one of the recommendations from one of the wonderful staff at Kimpton Cardinal. We decided to try it and we weren't disappointed. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were great. My friend had the chicken paillard with cacio pepe rotini. I enjoyed the mushroom ravioli. The portions were good. We didn't have dessert because we were full, but their dessert menu has something for everyone. I recommend Betty on Burke if youre in Winston-Salem.

Great communication through Open Table as we were late due to flights not being on time, they accommodated us, a party of 6. Greeting was professional a d courteous, we were sat at our table promptly, our server Adam was amazing all night, attentive and very professional. Food was delicious, dishes of Osso Buuco, Thai Green Curry, Chicken, and the pork chop special, all plates cleaned and absolutely enjoyed by all. I didn't get to take any pics as we were all so hungry we dived right in. Cannot wait to go back to Betty on Burke. It would be a great place for a dinner date with spouse or loved one.

Wonderful experience. Food, service and atmosphere were exceptional. The place is not so big that you have a lot of people noise yet cozy enough that the tables are not so close you feel like you are eating with strangers. We had the Korean BBQ and the chicken. Both were new to us and were very pleasant. If you want an exceptional dining experience, then Betty on Burke should be on your list.

Dress code, although unspoken, is present; staff is helping you with your chair to get in and out of table ( I assume this is only when not busy:). Everything around you is delightful to look at. Food is good. Smaller portions. I wouldn’t bring my little ones here, they thrive to be on sophisticated level.

Had an early dinner for Valentines. No free parking. I had the Schnitzel and my wife had the Braised Beef Ravioli. Her meal was very good. My Schnitzel was just ok. No salad or side options. Tiramisu was very good for dessert. We'll try this again.

M
Michael Claffey

I took the family out to celebrate a promotion. We were seated promptly, our waiter was very attentive. The selected wine met with approval. Most everyone enjoyed their meals, except me. I ordered the pork schnitzel and I couldn’t cut it. I wasn’t offered a steak knife. It was overdone and the edges required quite a bit of sawing. I left more than half on my plate, it wasn’t worth the effort. I was not asked if there was anything wrong with my dish.We ordered desserts to pass and they were all excellent. I think anyone else in our party would give them 5 stars. My experience was 2 stars worth, so I gave them 4 altogether. (Place is difficult to find it is at back of store fronts, no signage that I could see, except the street address number, 1016.)

J

Great atmosphere! Well-appointed space. However, they went a little post-postmodern with not labeling which doors lead to the restroom. The food tasted well enough, but the portions are so tiny for the price. You're almost guaranteed to leave hungry. I guess rich people like small portions. The service was great! I wish I could recommend this spot, but with so many more affordable restaurants that serve larger portions of the same quality food, it's hard to return to this place.

Husband and I came for dinner and the patio was nice. It was a cute spot but probably more suited for a ladies’ night. My Caesar salad didn’t taste great, not a lot of flavor-maybe needed a tad more dressing. The latkes were good. I ordered the Korean BBQ and it was decent! My husband didn’t care for the bolognese, it looked super oily and watery at the same time and was not filling. Tiramisu was good but the presentation wasn’t great. Service was good!

Went for a late lunch. Took ages to order and get food, but we were very happy with what we received. At 4:30pm, when the restaurant was 90% empty we were asked to leave because the table was needed.

C
Concetta Guiducci

I normally enjoy this restaurant and recommend it often, but my last visit was frustrating. Two flies ended up in my drink, and although it was replaced, I was charged for the new one even though my first was barely half gone. This felt unfair and disappointing. I expect better customer service, especially from a place I’ve supported and enjoyed in the past. The food is still good, but I hope management takes this kind of feedback seriously.

Atmosphere was top notch. Well-decorated. Our server was great. He knew his way around the menu and was able to make suggestions. The food was underwhelming. My wife had the Smashburger. It was edible, but pretty bland, and honestly felt like a first attempt from a teenager. A piece of lettuce. Some yellow American cheese. A small patty. Shoelace fries were the redeeming portion of the dish. Double the patty size. Find some bacon. Maybe an avocado spread or a garlic in-house signature sauce. I had the tuna niçoise. Everything on the plate was pretty good, but not enough to keep me coming back. In a word, it was a “confused” dish. This is partially my fault, because the elements of the dish were all listed on the menu. But I was intrigued to find out how the chef would be able to blend these odd ingredients together. Today I learned that fries and egg salad and seared tuna don’t pair well.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent brunch experience at Betty on Burke. I am leaving this one-star review because your staff removed my meal from our check without my prompting, which, while appreciated, does not excuse the poor quality of the food and service. My husband and I chose your restaurant because of its affiliation with Mozelle's. We were curious why the health grade of 96.5 when the restaurant has only been open for 6 months. However, our experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the brunch stack, which I would not recommend to anyone. It was missing the most important component, the poached egg, and the entire dish was cold, as if it had been prepared days in advance. My husband's Korean BBQ plate was also served cold. Furthermore, the table next to us ordered the smash burger and reported that it looked "pathetic" and was missing several items advertised on the menu. They, too, had to inquire about the missing ingredients. The service was also severely lacking. Overall, I would not return to Betty on Burke, even if offered compensation. The cook appears to be very amateur and in need of significant additional training.

Pretty bad service and marketing. Showed up and was told we needed a reservation. Not listed anywhere on the site or Google the restaurant is reservation only. Then we were offered to sit at the community table. Piss poor experience. Can’t honestly rate the food or atmosphere because we were turned away.

J
J K

I can't give a rating on the food or atmosphere since I was not allowed to dine but the service was appalling. I showed up today for lunch with my wife and service dog. Keith requested my certification for my service dog and I kindly explained that there is no such thing. A business and their employees should be familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act and how it affects them, sadly this business waswoefully unaware. Keith initially seemed to accept the explanation but then only offered outdoor seating. Mind you the temperature was low 90s by this point and I said that I would like to sit inside and would go elsewhere if they would not allow it. Keith said nothing further, simply stared at me. I am very disappointed as the restaurant came highly recommended. I am submitting a complaint to the DOJ. Such a shame...do better

Called to make a last minute 2pm reservation on a Thursday, also a snow day, after my grandfather's funeral. We could not bury him after his funeral because of the snow and ice so we are laying him to rest a few days later. I explained the situation to the manager I spoke with. He told me needed a card on file to hold the reservation (I am used to that, no problem) but then proceeded to tell me, despite our circumstances, that if we cancel they will charge $25 per person (9 of us). I asked if they couldn't understand the circumstances, that we want to make sure we can actually get downtown from the church, to enjoy a somber meal together. He refused. Hey small businesses who want our support, maybe you should actually CARE about your customers if you want us to care about you?!

I have been looking forward to going to Betty on Burke since it opened, we finally got the chance to go last night to celebrate my 30th Birthday. We brought my son, who is 3.5 months old, and we felt very unwelcome for bringing him. He did not cry once and was the perfect young gentleman ! The food was just OK. As someone who has traveled to Italy and makes her own risotto at home, the risotto was flavorless. The 5 shrimp were not worth the $12.00 up charge ! The Korean BBQ Beef was delicious, and would be a great starter. Overall, the atmosphere and service were unwelcoming.
