You've got to go here for the best homemade mozzarella sticks ever! I usually don't eat mozzarella sticks but I saw the sign outside and decided to give it a chance. All because it was on a Monday and my favorite Tony's was closed. Now I'm a convert! I don't know if my picture does it justice....you'll just have to try it for yourself.

Snappy dog had me at Snappy stix. They're eggroll style mozzarella sticks are the best I've ever had. Scott, the shop owner is always friendly, inviting, and always willing to hang out and talk. Its a hole in the wall but if you're out in Edison Park definitely stop by for some good late night food.

This place has the best fries I’ve ever had. Even though its known for it’s snappy sticks and hot dogs, I don’t see enough praise for the fries. 100% would recommend.

The guy behind the counter was a little gruff and curt with me, but once he saw that I had my dog with me, he warmed up a bit. Otherwise, the hot dogs were tasty, but I was expecting more tots than what was served to me. Also, the way that the restaurant was shot in the photos listed online were very deceptive; way smaller space than expected, and really no place to sit and enjoy your food.

We couldn't love Snappy Dog more. On our way to Milwaukee from Springfield Missouri we made sure to stop at Snappy Dog. Did it add an hour to the trip? Yep! Was it worth it? Absolutely. I make a stop at Snappy Dog every single time I'm anywhere near Chicago. Tonight I got 2 Chicago Dogs and my son bought 2 Chili Cheese. Fantastic. Before we left I made sure to buy a hat!!!!!

This place gave me the perfect sized lunch for the perfect sized price. I was so satisfied when I was done, and the bossy chix were covered in a homemade sauce that didn't taste like anything I'd had before. I can't recommend a better place in the area for a quick, cheap bite on your lunch break.

The hot dogs here in Snappy Dog is so highly recommend! It was so good the first time I tried it. The taste of it is amazing, their hot dogs are quality, worth the price, and very delicious. They also have fries on the menu and you can add it to your hot dogs as a side. It is so crispy, flavorful, and so worth it. I also recommend to order some of their mozzarella sticks when you visit. It is one of their best seller and it tastes really amazing. Their service here is so quick and fast. All of their staff are working so fast, they really love doing their job, and they all know how to manage all of their customers. All of them are friendly, accommodating, and attentive. They really greet all of their customers while entering the place. Outstanding customer service. This place is truly a hidden gem here in Edison Park. Always great, and open late! I often come here for a late night snack. The service is very fast and the staff is friendly. Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! A must-do in the Chicagoland/Edison Park area. Bars nearby so you know this place is a go-to at 1 or 2AM. Go for the Snappy Stix (pictured here - mozz sticks reincarnated in egg roll wrap), the shakes, and of course either a Snappy Dog (has secret (hot) sauce) and a Chicago Dog.

First time here and it was delicious! Love that they’re doing their own thing. The snappy sticks and snappy dog were great and the Green River shake was unique and delicious! It was awesome that they’re open so late.

The greatest mozzarella (snappy) stix you will probably ever have. They are wrapped in an egg roll wrapping and overloaded with cheese, they absolutely hit the spot. Their secret sauce is superb. The hot dogs and polish sausages are also fantastic but you must order the snappy stix anytime you visit this iconic Edison Park hole in the wall. They're open 'til 2:30am Tuesday-Sunday so those late cravings can be satisfied.

This is my close to home place to go it's got Vienna hot dogs beef Polish sausage chicken tenders chili dogs chili fries everything you would want except cheeseburgers or hamburgers They don't serve that food is good price is reasonable

If your drinking in Edison Park this is the spot where the smart native Edison Parker goes. Get the hotdog n fries with the bottled coke and you are good to go. The guy at the front is a little burnt out but is hilarious the cook in the back is always in a bad mood but I suppose that's from dealing with drunks every night. Have a good time at anyone of Edison Parks drinking establishments and hit this place up on the way home, oh yeah and it's cheap.

Honest to god, this place is the best place to go if you have 10 bucks on you. Get a bottle coke, and a polish with fries, and have some money left over. Sometimes, they forget to salt the fries, but no other complaints.

Agood chicago dog ,with the neon green sweet relish , and agood hand full of fries make up the usual sandwich . Its located in the Edison Park business district ,just a half a store front wide but it has a Chicago staple food that everyone likes and hes open late after 2am . His other fair is beef sandwich chicken sandwich ,tamales and shakes . Not much room to eat in but you always can take to go

The Chicago dog was good. The fries were crisp but a little smashed when it was wrapped up with the hot dog. I wished that they had some ketchup for the fries. This was my first time here. It was a little pricey for just a hot dog with fries. I will be back to try again

Went in for a hotdog and some cheese fries. It was mid. The fries- if you like salt with your fries, this is the place for you. The abundance of salt was insane- not my taste preference but again. If you like salt- these are for you. You're getting a good amount for the price you are paying. Wish the guy was a bit more friendlier but I get it- it's a tiny business and it's a congested area filled with hipster restaurants. The only reason I didn't give it a 3 was because everything looked neat.

The hot dog was pretty much the standard Chicago style dog you will find elsewhere. There was nothing off or wrong with it. The fries were also pretty good. Sadly there is absolutely no seating inside. If you want to eat there you have to do it standing. food was served within 5 mins. Overall it's a decently good place for a quick bite

This is a small space in an older building with no tables. One guy was there by himself serving up orders as quick and efficient as some places with an entire staff. I ordered the Snappy Dog. Fries were piled on top. Ugh, I hate that. I realize it's an old Chicago tradition but it's not my thing. I have to admit it does give the fries some extra flavor in this case. It was on a fresh poppy seed bun with sport peppers, cheese sauce, onions, and their secret sauce (which tasted a lot like barbecue sauce). It was tasty with a bit of zip but very messy. I wouldn't mind trying some of their other unique menu items sometime.

The place advertises they are open until 230am on Sunday nights. I came in at about 145am. 7 or 8 drunk college kids all crowding the inside (and outside on the sidewalk) and being super loud. And the inside is probably only big enough for about 4 people, max. Anyway, old guy behind the counter seemed super annoyed and could barely muster up the strength to take my order. Even yelled out loud to himself "god damn" when 2 more kids came in after I did. I felt kinda bad for the guy since he was there by himself, but hey, you're open until 230am, so... Anyway, the dog was ok. Was hot and fresh, bun was nice and soft, but the fries did not do a good job of complimenting the hot dog. Average at best, I probably won't be back.

Been to this place years ago and had a good experience. Went there recently and got met with rude service, I dunno if it's my piercings or whatever but the dude was friendly to the folks that came after me which kind of sucked. Corn dog was good at least.

I hate to leave bad reviews for the polite fella working that night. I came here Sunday at 1120pm. First time here, ordered the chicago style hot dog and snappy sticks. The fries were still Frozen, about 1/8 were good. Hot dog was also little cold. Snappy sticks were 5/5.

Sandwiches are good. Fries were BAD. Tasted like they sat in a fridge for a week and then just put in with the hot food. Not edible. Dry, sawdust and chewy. Very disappointed!!! Please cook your fries snd keep them fresh !

The atmosphere is perfection. Tiny store with standing room only. The snappy dog itself was great, but the bun and fries were soggy from being in the warmer too long. Absolutely killer mozzarella sticks, but marina sauce was ice cold. Overall decent but missing the mark on execution.

The hot dog was barely warm the fries were cold and Soggy. Employee not friendly and had an attitude. Maybe you would have a good experience here if you go there at a peak cooking time, like 2am (bar closing). I'm a little shocked at the great ratings of this place but we all know that everything tastes Gourmet when you're a little intoxicated. If you find yourself in that predicament eat here.

Fiancé went in and said the first time the person working was nice, but the last two times he went, the worker was rude and sassy towards him. He cut him off while ordered and made comments ab out each order as if it wasn’t ok that he was placing an order. Food is good for price though, but don’t know if we wanna go back

I went here one night for the Stix and a drink. Got some fries as well, but it was terrible. The Stix tasted good, but it made me sick the next morning. Service was okay, though the food was served relatively fast after ordering. People that worked here we're cool. Not too much on everything else - no washroom for customers, and you can eat there but it'll only fit a handful of people at best. Parking is street parking, so at midnight, it gets a bit crowded if not difficult to park. Late hours, which is kinda rare for a hot dog place in the area, so I'll come back when I regained my steel stomach or bring my bottle of stomach pills, if I got the late munchies.

We ordered the Chicago dog, cheese dog, and mozzarella sticks. The Chicago dog was mushed and the bun fell apart as soon as I opened the wrapping, dropping the contents everywhere. As I sat reconstructing my hot dog my wife opened her cheese dog with fries and found both the inside and outside of the dog as well as her fries covered in the cheese sauce. So as she sat making trying to make sense of the mess of a meal she was given I found a single long hair, about 5 inches long in my hotdog, sitting there purposefully as though it was a condiment itself. Now I’ll admit I still ate the hot dog while trying to keep the hair out of my mind, and it was tasty hot dog. Their home made mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce are also definitely worth trying. Regardless it’s difficult to get the hair out of my mind, and that along with the absolute mess we got out food in really brings the score down for this place. I take no pleasure in leaving such a low review, especially for a place with genuinely good food, but until these problems are addressed and steps are taken to ensure this won’t happen again I cannot in good conscience leave a higher score.

If selling hotdogs is your forte you really need to inspect your product before handing it off to customers especially if its something to consume! I stopped by the other day and ordered a hotdog and polish and the hotdog I got was green as if it was in the water for days! You have signs all over the place promoting your product that says it's the best, you should know better!

I stopped in after i got off the metra from work. It was 5pm on a Wednesday. The older guy with the earring there was drunk. Literally stumbled to the register. Put on one glove while touching my bun with the non glove hand. Coughed into his elbow while holding my hotdog. Not good, been there three times. Each time the hot dogs were luke warm and the fries aren't fresh cut fries, this place is mediocre at best. Definitely no Gene & Judes!!

Food prices ok. Food is fair. Staff was pleasant. Place was dirty! It is an old building so there are some things that will not be as nice but there is no excuse as far as I am concerned for lack of soap and water and maybe a coat of paint. I will not go back.

First time trying this place out. I ordered a chili cheese dog and the guy barely put any chili or cheese on it, put fries on top of the dog, and tightly rolled it up in paper so it was all mashed together. When i opened it up, what little chili and cheese WAS on it stuck to the paper. Took a bite thinking “Well, maybe it’ll at least taste good.” But no. It was a sh#t experience all around.

Tried ordering tamales they did not have ready. Tried ordering an Italian beef was also not ready. So I went with a couple hotdogs and stixs. Was told 15 min.. showed up 20 min later to find out my order had not been even started. Was told it would be another 10 min. Cancled my order went elsewhere. Wont be back

I don’t mind that the day time guy is rude and in a rush to get back to his YouTube videos. I don’t mind that he always slams my cc down whenever I pay. I don’t even mind when he throws my order at me exclaiming, “here!”. What I do mind is this punk blowing in my bag to put my food in there. I like the food well enough, but enough’s enough.

Poor customer service. I went in because I thought it was local and I'd try it out. The guy at the front didn't speak to me at all. He made the wrong milkshake and when I proceeded to let him know, he kept correcting me and then snatched the drink out of my hand and literally threw it in the garbage. I don't know if this place is racist or the worker was. But I felt completely out of place and wouldn't recommend anyone to return!
