Best food ever, BURGERS, SANDWICHES, best fried green beans & fries... this place is the last of the best huge burgers... we drive 30 min to go here if we are gonna eat out.. we do not go to fast food places anymore because of the quality of food, but Judy's is the BEST & worth the drive & the cost is more than fair..... IF YOU WANT A MEAL THAT TASTE GREAT, DILLS YOU TO THE BRIM & WORTH THE PRICE... JUDY'S IS THE ONLY PLACE I SUGGEST YOU TRY... YOU WON'T REGRET IT... we get the texas pastrami burger & rueben & 2 fried green beans & a soda $48. With a tip & you'll probably take left overs home 😉😊❤️😋😋😋

Great burgers and fries. Portion sizes are BIG. You can almost split a burger and fries into two meals. Malts and shakes are delicious 😋. Highly recommended.

We live in Natomas running errands and stopped here and ate. Great menu, if you can't find something to eat here you would really have to try! My wife and I split an order of fish and chips and it was delicious.

The Texas Gold Bacon Cheeseburger was so good and it was huge. My husband and I shared one. We brought his home with us. Tom's salad was fresh and he reported that it was really tasty. I opted for the French fries. They were hot, tasty, and most importantly were not greasy We topped it off with a really great chocolate shake that we shared. Altogether, a really great experience.

Try the Fish & Chips! This place makes some awesome fried foods! I was highly impressed! I just went with a group from work and everyone was very happy. Most had burgers and a couple of guys had cheesesteaks. Everyone said they will.be coming back.

Let me tell you, this is the place to be. All the food on the menu is excellent and the portions are huge. The plates are enough for two people and a burgers are gigantic. I recommend the Texas burger with pastrami

Delightful, local, old school. Totally a recipe for a delicious old school bite. They specialize in burgers and grinders but also have sandwiches, burritos, hot dogs, soft serve and shakes. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was delicious (pastrami grinder and banana peanut butter shake). The pastrami was tender and not full of gristle or fat, the pickle was delicious, and the vinegar and oil on the grinder was present and doing good work and best of all was the crispy, airy fresh roll bringing it all together. The shake was good as well with chunks of frozen banana and the slightly salty peanut butter keeping everything from being too cloyingly sweet. (The shake/soft serve menu is behind the counter and was a little hard to spot at first so just FYI if you order in the shop). The seating area is very old school and there is definitely a charm to it even if it's a bit worn. It's like a warm hug of true Americana.

The place has been here since 77 and it is a fried food / comfort food paradise. I had the fried fish and calamari and it comes with 2 sauces and fries. The fish was great and huge. The batter was very airy and did not taste greasy oily at all. The restaurant is dated but very clean and quaint. Staff spot on. Will return. Will have to try a grinder.

Well I normally don't leave reviews much unless a place is truly amazingly delicious!!! If you haven't eaten at Judy's yet your missing out big time!! That was by far the best food i have tried in all of Woodland. So next time you want something yummy give them a try you won't be disappointed!!! I know ill be back when im in town!!!

Foods always good. Just wish they'd shorten the menu so I'd have less to look through. On the upside, they offer an insane variety of food and I've been countless times with a bunch of people and we've tried everything from Burgers, to Calamari, to Fush and Chips and everything is always really good!

Judy’s Grinder holds itself as one of the longest standing restaurants in woodland that still holds up very well today against other fast food chain restaurants. It has great burgers and a variety of fries that leaves you satisfied with a smile. Although small, the atmosphere of the place is friendly and alluring as the seats and tables are in great conditions with a smooth wooden finish. The food takes a while but it’s all worth it at the end to enjoy the hefty meals they can provide for you.

Judy's use to be one of my favorite places. It seems to have fallen from grace. Rarely see many cars out front, which is usually not a good sign. We were really in the mood for their fish and chips, so we gave it a shot. The place was clean as it usually was. We were the only customers, which felt odd, as there was always other people there in the past. Our food came to our table in to-go boxes. The fish was how we remembered it, long stripes of tasty goodness, a nice sized piece of deep fried broccoli and fries. The fries were just okay, they used to be some of the best in town. We will give them another chance, like I said, they use to be a favorite place for us. Hope it was just a off night and that they are ok business wise!

They have one of the most extensive menus I have laid eyes on! I have yet to be displeased with my selection.

I have fond memories of my mother taking the family to Judy’s to get me a burger, after I went with her to pick my grandparents up from Kingdom Hall service every Sunday. The arcade games were fine, and the toy spaceships were good. I loved the burgers back then. The fish and chips and the beef teriyaki were even more amazing. The best offering was the fried broccoli. I’ve matured since then, and now I realize that the meat is a bit bland compared to other places, and the fish and chips are too big, and the interior is not charming anymore. Also, their salad is one of the worst salads I’ve ever had. But I still recommend the seafood! And the fried broccoli!

We have eaten at Judy's for years. It has always been are go to for a great burger and fries. This trip we noticed they stopped making their own patties. Hopefully this changes soon. I know covid impacted all our local businesses. They have a huge menu. Not much to look at on the inside but the staff is very nice.

I wanted to come check this place out since it stood out when you drive past it. So i tried calling to see if they are open or still in business since i rarely see any parked cars. Well, there was no answer the first two calls and online says they are open. So, i visited the place. Doors are locked. Weeks go by i called again, no answer. I decided maybe they will answer, and just so happens 3rd times a charm. A lady answered says they are open at 11am. I go and finally i am inside. I walked in and noticed they had a menu similar to a normal fast food burger place. They had a lot of items on the menu so it took me a minute to order. All i can think of was garlic fries and a double cheeseburger. Skip to my order. I asked the cashier if they can do garlic fries, and she was very nice. Very soft and seemed like she cared about my order. So i ordered garlic fries and a (i think its called) texas double cheeseburger. I got mine to go, but i noticed they had some bottled beer once my food was ready. Not to talk badly about prices, but the but light i ordered was... enough for 2 beers ha ha. I paid roughly 25 dollars total. I almost felt ripped but keep in mind many places are getting a bit pricey. So i give 4 stars only because they ignored my phone calls. But the portions are quite large! I will come back. Thanks!

I love their burgers! Literally every single one of them. I have tried many different burgers and they are all really good. The reason I’m giving it a 3 stars is for 1 reason. The place is kind of dirty and somewhat ugly, it could use a redesign.

They're having enormous menu but it is clearly declining. There's so much grease and filth everywhere it really needs to be scrubbed down. The owner is really temperamental and not super friendly. It's kind of cool that they have so many different things to choose from but I was afraid that the tartar sauce might be spoiled. It's definitely not going to last much longer.

Stopped in here for a bite after seeing the four star review on Google and recent comments from past visitors. This place has a local diner vibe, no-frills. Ordered a burger combo with fries and a drink. Burger was good, not great. At the price point for a quarter pound burger, steak fries and a small drink, the value just isn’t there. Service was below average. Don’t get off the freeway to come and check this place. Leave it for the locals.

I've seen them put new ketchup into their ketchup bottles that have been sitting there for a few days, they don't wash the ketchup bottles so they literally put new ketchup into old ketchup. I've seen one of the workers there straight put her hand into the ranch bottle to get the ranch into a little dip cup. They're very unsanitary. I've also heard that the owner pays people under the table. This place is seriously disgusting and a health inspector should definitely check it out. My friend use to work at judy's, and said that one time when she was making a burger, it fell on the floor and the owner said to just serve it anyways but my friend threw it away. This place is seriously one of most unsanitary places to ever eat. It's so disgusting. I hope it gets shut down too. The owners are very rude also.

The lady at Judy’s has done it again!! My grandma was just trying to order some food and the lady couldn’t understand my grandma and my mom was trying to explain to her what my grandma was asking and she started being rude so my mom asked to speak to her husband to help us and she threw a fit and said no so her husband came anyways and she tried to push him away and say no and then he’s taking their order and then turned everything off like the card reader and register and then the husband told us we can’t even pay cash or eat here because she’s mad! She kept coming back trying to come at my mom and grandma like she wanted to fight LOL. So we basically got refused service and almost in a physical fight because she couldn’t understand what we were trying to order! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CRAZY WOMAN. Not to mention their food is ver unsafe & unsanitary more than half of woodland will not eat here!!! 🤢🤢

Not for me. It's an obvious mom and pop shop, which was nice. Cluttered, but quaint. The lady at the counter could not have been more cold or miserable. Never once smiled. It was a sunny day so I asked if the patio was open. She replied "oh, no, that won't work". I thought that was a strange response, but accepted my fate in the dining room. Everything was sticky. The table, the salt and pepper. The condiments (also empty on top of sticky.) I ordered a regular hamburger, she asked if I wanted cheese, I said no cheese. She delivered a cheeseburger with the same miserable attitude and walked away. The fries seemed like they were cooked earlier and reheated. Their regulars must love them, I dont know how they retain customers.
