The food was outstanding. The owner came over and greeted himself, made sure we were happy. Service was great and our server made sure we had all of our food in a timely manner. All of our entrées came out perfectly.

Lovely restaurant. The service was excellent. My green pasta and shrimp was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

La Cambusa has recently become our place that we go to celebrate special days. Everything from the service to the food to the decor is fantastic. We find ourselves finding more reasons to celebrate so that we can go here more often. Everything is authentic, fresh, and expertly prepared. Could not be happier.

Attended my daughter-in-law's baby shower there. The room was cozy, comfortable. The owner Anthony was available responded to us and came around to ask how everything was. The eggplant rollatini was fresh (not frozen) and delish. The other appetizers were also fresh and delicious. I order the rigatoni Bolognese which was perfect, al dente the way it's supposed to be. Others at my table had the chicken, salmon and penne. Everyone loved their meals. But not until I tried their cannolis did I realize the chef knows what they're doing. crispy outside creamy inside with a hint of lemon. Again perfection. I'm already planning to do to dinner there with my husband. Couldn't wait to get home to write this review.

Excellent Place, food is simply amazing. The chef Nino does an amazing job in preparing and presenting your meal in every possible way. Just a great experience in style and the food taste great also

Everything about this place is fantastic. The fact that it’s a BYO makes it even better. The food is freshly made nice selection of entrées. Even their desserts were delicious. We enjoy this cozy spot and look forward to returning.

Food was very good, service was amazing. We got the garlic shrimp, shrimp franchise, and the crab ravioli special. Shrimp was great quality. Love the bread and tomato/peppers they bring out to start. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent, service was great.. atmosphere was good. Bar at main entrance no longer in use, due to no liquor license (assuming as it’s BYOB), takes away from the elegance of the place.

An incredible quality restaurant with great food and service. The pasta was fresh and worth coming back for! Went with my family for my sister’s birthday and it was worth every penny.

This review is so overdue! This restaurant has become my go-to place for the best food in the area. I have tried so many restaurants but none keeps on calling my taste buds like La Cambusa! I come with my hubby and daughter and most recently with some of my betsies..I love their menu is small but super delicious. Their appetizers are amazing 🤩 the little bruschetta at the beginning is so yummy and you kind of build it yourself. The flavors are super clean and sauces are light and full of flavors. Sometimes food is drenched in so much sauce that it loses its unique flavor but not here. Every dish is a perfect harmonious bite. It is BYOB which is a plus. Keep up with the nice clean flavors! Friendly service and wonderful food! From the time we walked in the door, the staff made us feel welcome, especially the hostess (Carrie). We ordered lobster ravioli and the sea bass special with calamari and they were superb! Flan for dessert was a highlight! Gluten free pasta available. Will definitely be back🤠

PRIVATE PARTIES - HAVE THEM HERE! My parents hosted an engagement party for my fiance and I, and everything was incredible. The service, the food, the room - all amazing. Elise who handles the back room with the manager Anthony are incredibly attentive and very accomdating. The staff who work the back room made sure everyone had drinks, water, etc on time. This is the place for your next event!

Great food always. Hosted a surprise birthday party there in their private room. Anthony, the manager was superb in making sure every thing went smoothly from our first meeting til and through the party. I dropped off many items from alcohol to balloons to party favors to cocktail napkins to decorations and sign on board in the weeks leading up. He made sure the room was decorated and ready for the party and even picked up the cake for me locally because I could not. Everything was great from the moment he brought the birthday boy into the private party room! La Cambusa remains a great local Italian restaurant, in our area. They have only been in our area for a few years but always packed for dinner with great food and ambiance.

The food was outstanding. The appetizers were delicious! Calamari, eggplant, pasta. Everything was really good. Salmon was my entrée. Cooked perfectly. This has become our go-to spot for a great meal. It's local, service is always top notch, can't go wrong.

We had a special afternoon family celebration and the staff and owner couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating to our planning and requests. The food and service were excellent. We were so pleased with our experience. I highly recommend this delightful restaurant!

Just moved to the area and this was our first night out and all we can say is WOW. We were instantly greeted by either a manager or the owner who sat us at the bar while we waited for our table. Poured us wine and made us an espresso. Service was great once seated. The food was awesome, desert was just as good! Saved us a ton of money because it’s an BYOB. Will become regulars!!

I ate at La Cambusa many years ago when they were still in Fair Lawn. This past New Year's Eve is the first time I've been back, since they opened in Wyckoff. I'm sorry I waited so long to go back! I was there with my family. We all were very happy with the service, and the quality of food. I had the Fried Eggplant Stack appetizer (special), Halibut (special), and Chocolate Mousse Cake. Every single one of these dishes was amazing! The fish was some of the very best I've ever had. The décor is relaxing, on street parking is easy to find, and every employee I interacted with was friendly and attentive. I am very much looking forward to going back!

Italian BYOB. Food was great all the way around. Great appetizer and entree selections. Atmosphere is bright and on the louder side.

Everyone couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating for my wife’s birthday. Hope for entrées are excellent and the appetizers too! Definitely a regular stop.

We went out to dinner at La Cambusa for my father’s 80th birthday dinner. It was a great meal. The food was amazing. I loved the polenta. But the best part was the service. Our waitress, Elyse, went above and beyond to make sure my dad had a good time. She was so kind and thoughtful. We will definitely go back!

Great food. I've been there a few times, and I've never been disappointed. BYOB helps keep the bill reasonable. Service is good too. If you bring your own alcohol, they will mix drinks for you.

Anthony and staff did a wonderful job hosting my family for my sons communion. They went above and beyond. Always pleasant, smiling and the food was delicious!

We have hosted several events at La Cambusa. Vannessa is a pleasure to deal with. She does an amazing job and always makes sure everything is perfect for our events which it always is. The restaurant and party rooms are very inviting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is always fresh and delicious and the atmosphere and service is excellent. We always look forward to going there and highly recommend to everyone. Great place for dinner or a private party.

Spent Christmas Eve here and it felt like home. The staff was so welcoming and warm. Beautiful atmosphere and clean space. Food was delicious!

The service was amazing, undeniably. Our server was attentive, although she was extremely busy. The food runners and bus persons were very kind and helpful as well. The food was decent but could have been better, in my opinion. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic. Sound echos in this restaurant, and the chatter from the full house was overwhelming at times, as if it were in stero. If I had gone on a day or at a time when it was less busy, perhaps things would have been more preferable.

Decent italian food specializing in seafood dishes. Loved the pepper and tomatoes they served together with bread. The rest of the dishes are pretty standard, at times lacking flavor. Their seafood salad can be a little more acidic

The atmosphere and service here were very good. Service was excellent. However we were unimpressed with the food. The food wasnt bad.... everything was fresh, but lacked flavor. We had the seafood salad appetizer....if it weren't for the lemon that came with it there was no flavor....although the items in the seafood salad were very fresh. My wife had lobster ravioli. Again the tooth of the pasta was good, lobster filling tasted like lobster, but the filling had little other seasoning, and the sauce was almost tasteless. Without the salt and pepper on the table, it was unenjoyable. I had the shrimp Francese. While the sauce had flavor...it was minimal......it was as if the sauce for the plate was diluted to be able to cover 4 plates. Again shrimp was excellent fresh and cooked perfectly....but the lack of a good Francese taste left me disappointed. All in all we were unimpressed by the food. Things were fresh, the cooking methods were on par....but every dish lacked flavor.

Good food in a dreary atmosphere. It felt more like a funeral parlor than a restaurant. The interior is definitely in need of a redesign. Service was okay. A bit pricey. Was hoping for more for the money.

Very mediocre Italian food at high prices. Noisy dining room with bright lights that could use a bit of dimming. Nice that they give you a bit of bruschetta and hot pepper salsa when you sit down, but there’s really nothing special about the food beyond that. We had two seafood pasta dishes, and one of them barely had any seafood. The other was good fresh pasta, but drowning in bland sauce. There are much better places. Also, we told them when we made the reservation it was someone’s birthday, but they never acknowledged it. So MEH

The food here is good service is very good and very attentive to all our needs while I was there . IM SORRY BUT THE FOOD IS mediocre honestly I feel bad saying this but for the prices that are being charged in your establishment it should be a whole different level of food being delicious than mediocre.

I like most Italian restaurants, but this one didn't have the choice of food I crave. It was a great time with my in-laws. I just didn't have the choices of Italian I grew up with in Central NY.

Went to LaCambusa with high expectations.......however, that changed quickly. we were five women.......ordered 4 appetizers and 3 meals to share.......and knew there would be 4 - 5 desserts plus coffees, etc. Very upsetting to be charged $12 X 2 for sharing a meal. ($24). Now, that is absurd!!!!!! Very nicely expressed our thoughts to waiter, chef and owner. Owner belittled us; totally unprofessional. Rarely, when we might do this we always are sure to tip our waiter additioally. I believe he's cheating his staff with this policy. LaCambusa, Garfield NEVER did this!!!!!

Bad experience! Don’t bother at this restaurant. Service terrible! Put us at the worst table even though they had many tables available! Food not with the price! Never agsin!

Portions for the veal entrees have shrunk to half the size the last two times. Room is so loud, women behind us were screaming and cackling all night. Won’t go back.

Food has no seasoning, blah. Went for dinner and only 1 other table was occupied. That alone should have convinced me to turn around and leave.

Purchased a certificate through "Clipp". Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding (how about a coffee/ beverage on us) the server simply said to contact Clipp" and assured us they would provide a refund. Cost us a processing fee, but yeah; after chatting with "Rose A" was told a credit would be refunded to the original card after a "promo " fee. **Chicken Parm was tough; all else ok, though certainly less enjoyable after server's attitude.
