Fantastic food , brilliant staff , real nice atmosphere

Came for a meal here on Saturday, had the fishcakes, they were gorgeous. Came back Sunday evening for the quiz, which was good fun. Lovely village pub.

Great food (delicious pizza, garlic bread and fish goujons), drinks and service. The young man serving us was attentive and engaging, and very good with our 9yr old gt neice. Highly recommend this pub to eat. Thankyou team New Inn.

Lovely, comfortable and welcoming pub. Food is great- good steaks and outstanding pizzas. Been a few times now and so pleased to have such a great pub nearby. Highly recommend takeaway pizzas too

Great food and usually a great atmosphere. They have a fantastic pizza oven where they make all their own bread and pizzas, and you can watch the chef making them. Nice atmosphere both in the restaurant and the bar, and reasonable prices

We are lucky enough to have the New Inn as our local pub. Always fantastic food and great service in a traditional cosy pub. Also brilliant take away or in house pizzas from the wood fired oven.

We had a lovely meal at the New Inn - the food was excellent, especially the seafood and very reasonably priced as well. The fish was very fresh and the scallops very tasty. Highly recommended.

The food is excellent here, very good menu selection that is seasonal and updated regularly with a few classic dishes. Good selection of larger and beer, the guest ales are usually excellent, always a shame when they eventually run out! Now offer WiFi which is great because mobile coverage is zero inside and almost zero outside in Tholthorpe in general

Lovely. Absolutlety beautiful. It was quiet and quaint. Very friendly staff and amazing ofers. We paid via tesco clubcard and it was so simple. We could see the pizza being made on side. An interesting and deliscious menu. This is my facourite resturaunt by far.

Another great meal at the New inn. Roast duck was delicious, highly recommend it the seafood hotpot. Pizzas always a hit. Great service, friendly attentive staff

Just been for a meal and all I can say is awesome, beautifully cooked food even the dessert was amazing, shame we don't live near as it would def be a regular place to eat thank you.

We had an amazing Sunday Lunch last weekend. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were efficient and attentive.

Nobody would be disappointed with the apartment its brilliant as is the pub , excellent menu so is the food.

Top quality food, great service, topped off with two outstanding decaff espresso martini's.

We come here quite often as my parents live nearby and have never been disappointed by the food and has a lovely community atmosphere. We had takeaway pizzas from here last week and they are so amazing! Would definitely recommend as high end pub food!

We have been going to the New Inn at Tholthorpe for many years. The food is always excellent and in our view the best in our area, so we are really lucky to have it close by. We are closer to the Centre of York but the New Inn is our favourite. There is a good choice on the menu for everyone including great pizzas cooked in a real log fired pizza oven and the pricing is good and the staff are always really friendly. The pub itself is very welcoming, relaxing, clean and nicely presented. Cameron and Dionne who own the pub are great hosts and chefs.

This pub might be in a little village but the staff and locals are all really friendly. And best of all they are dog friendly. The food is worth visiting for especially the pizza, eat in or take away are authentic and delicious. Good choice of wine and great Guinness.

Lovely little pub in a quiet little village. The service was great and the staff/owners were really friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Oh, and they're dog friendly too. Food was delicious.

This Pub was exactly opposite where we stayed for 2 nights. A very nice pub which serves a fantastic plate of food. I chose a pizza (freshly cooked infront of us) and others had steaks and haddock n chips. All excellent. Compliments to the chef & our table waitress. 👏

WHY WAS THIS LOVELY SO QUIET TODAY IT SHOULD BE BUSY?????? Visited the New Inn this lunchtime with elderly mum. Great drinks, lovely outside seating area. I ordered the fish finger sandwich - fresh bread, loads of fish and coleslaw with salad. All so fresh and well cooked..... a REAL treat at twice the price. Will be back.

We are not local to this area, but decided to come here as it said there was a good wood fired pizza! The pizza was lovely. After, I had the warm chocolate fudge cake which was a great pudding. Atmosphere was also quiet and warm. Great pub

Excellent Sunday lunch, especially the roast. Well worth a visit.

Nice pub, delicious food. Only thing I didn't give 5 stars for is that I am not keen on the sharing of vegetables. I enjoy vegetables as a main part of my food and sharing a portion between 3 didn't allow much, quite a measley portion considering the cost of the lunch.

Excellent food, great cosy pub atmosphere, has its own wood fired pizza oven and both a bar and restaurant area. Would recommend.

Food was nice enough but whoever was front of house October 8th is in the wrong job a smile clearly was extra a little bit stuffy needs to loosen up a bit it's not just the regulars that are making your till ring

Friendly service, limited but well cooked basic food.

The service need to be improved foodwise. The calzone too salty and ham in big pieces. Good pittza and friendly staff. Make sure what you order and enjoy. Nice small village.

Never known a pub to turn away lorry drivers. I didn’t have my trailer with me, so unit only taking up little space (not that there was anyone else in). Went in to ask the women behind the bar if I’m alright to stay over night to be looked at like I had asked her to take a dump on the bar. Pub industry is on its knees as it is and turning someone away who would comfortably spend £50/60 in the night is ridiculous.
